Our hardworking group of Li Kim, Sharon, Ms Han and Wendy Loh are at the Hong Kong Filmart (March 19-22). They are going there to promote TSEM PARANORMAL ZONE with Li Kim as our talented celebrity host. I’ve shared some pictures from Sharon Saw and Wendy Loh’s Facebook. Also I am sharing some email and blog chat posts from Wendy Loh from Hong Kong.  Li Kim of Kechara and a few will be going to Asian film awards soon also… exciting… Meet more people and expanding…

Very nice messages from Wendy Loh she emailed me and some were posted on blog chat (below)… Although she is so new, she really goes all the way with her job.

Wendy is new but she makes her schedule 100% available for KMP work, which makes it so much easier to invite her along to do anything with us. When we have projects, it’s just nice to know the person is available. In any job, if you want to make it, you have to go all the way and ‘sacrifice’ personal whatevers to make it… that’s the way the world works.

She is not temperamental and no one needs to tiptoe around her moods. Easy and nice to work with. I am told this… and glad to know. Your moods and how you are towards people over time defines how they feel about you… it’s human to think this way I guess…

Although I have spent very little or no time with her and did not ‘nurture’ her in anyway, she has the maturity to see what we are doing and that we will get places and she just does the job. Some people you spend very little time with and they are just ready to go ahead and get things done!

Yes we are not that huge now yet. But we will be… we will. Joining us when we are big looks odd… hehehe… It means you are sitting on the sidelines to see what is happening… what YOU can get from it… and if we make it, you join, if we don’t, your safe… on the positive side some join when we have made it because their minds have changed and feel inspired… everyone is different though and I am not judging… just observing…

Join us now and work hard now and ‘eat porridge’ with us now and enjoy rice later. (Porridge is a metaphor for doing not well and rice is doing well.) Then when we make it we did it together and we know each others’ loyalties. It’s nice to make it together from scratch… from nothing to something. Anything we want to achieve in life we have to go all the way and something else in life has to be given up. We just have to see our own priorities. Priorities must be made based on now and future benefits… not just immediate benefits. Immediate benefits when done and over lead to nothing.

I am very happy Wendy participates in my blog chat and keeps us updated on the events in Hong Kong… All this shows she just easily cooperates with the different methods and ways I/we have created to reach out to more people and each other. I like when people get involved with the chat, we can stay close to each other or at least just update each other and share with the world… If you are in Kechara good to be with Kechara in all ways including chat... when we share we are reaching someone in some way that will benefit for sure… that is good. We are growing and it’s nice to share with each other. If we keep a distance from each other, then people are wary to ask you to join.  We should share with the world because Kechara is doing very good works.

Wendy doesn’t drive or own a car, but she makes it to her appointments with no qualms and on time… she is now wanting to move to a closer location to work for Kechara… very dedicated and inspiring. This is the type of attitude and mind I need with the people working together with me… this attitude GETS US PLACES AND HELPS US TO DO MUCH MORE FOR OTHERS and ourselves.

We can treat Kechara like a job or more. If we treat it like a job, then you are seen as a nice employee. If you treat Kechara as more, then you will be included for more. The decision is made by you… It’s not good or bad, it’s just when deciding to ask people to come aboard for different projects their moods, availability, job performance, past, efficiency, cooperativeness, etc all come into play. It’s like that everywhere. It’s not bias, just want a great team to get the job done! This is applicable for anyone anywhere.

I am glad to see Wendy Loh just jumped into the ‘frying pan’ and is really ‘cooking’ with us now. This can be for all people working in Dharma anywhere in the world or any job. This is not meant as a huge WENDY IS SO FABULOUS write up, it’s what I have observed and noticed… I just wanted to share and thank Wendy and all the people like her in Kechara. Wendy is my example for all the people in Kechara who are like her… I thank all the Kecharians for this. You know who you are… I need you, you work with me and we get somewhere… People like you make me want to get to know you more and do more with you. You inspire me and let me know all my hard work, time, tremendous efforts and resources have results…thank you for that… Thank you very much. We will get somewhere together.

Dear Rinpoche,

I just wish to say that Li Kim is not alone in this. She has her team with her, who will do what it takes to make her a star.

Why? Because she is already a star, right from the start. She is a Celebrity with a heart of Gold.

And I love to say, “my boss is a celebrity.” hee hee.

Thank you for the inspiring story, Rinpoche. It is a good way to start the morning as we are heading to the HKG Convention Center to promote Tsem Paranormal Zone.

Cheers,
Wendy

Likim & Sharon you both looks gorgeous! Rejoice 4 of yours hard work to promote Rinpoche & Kechara. I’m proud to be kecharian !!

  2. Mc on Mar 20, 2012 at 2:28 am

Wendy is always ready to help and has pulled off a couple of miracles for me without even thinking twice about it. I am glad she is in Kechara.

When I see the picture of Ms Han, Wendy, Li Kim and Sharon I am very thankful to them. They are away for only one purpose that is to do what they need to, in order to draw help towards fulfilling Rinpoche’s vision for KWPC.

Li Kim is already a star and she looks like she means business on her promotional video. Move over Mr Alfred Hitchcock.

  3. Han on Mar 20, 2012 at 3:08 am

YES, totally agreed with MC that Wendy is always ready to help.
She is new yet dynamic , full of energy. I like !
Enjoying working with her for this HK FILMART 2012, and will work closer with her for the Tsem Paranormal Zone’s Project. During this trip, we have many crazy ideas on how to promote dharma through videos ….

  4. Joy on Mar 20, 2012 at 4:21 am

Awwwesome! Well done Li Kim, Wendy & Ms.Han for creating a mark for Rinpoche, Kechara, and Malaysia in Asia… I’m sure next would be the Caines Film Festival :)

    • Li Kim on Mar 22, 2012 at 1:29 am

      Hi Joy,

I cannot tell about Caines for now but we are already planning to attend the festivals in Shanghai and Singapore. I learn at this HK Filmart that these two are good to attend as they combine Film & TV in the festival. Very cool!

      Much care,
      Li Kim

Rejoice for all the hardworking and dedicated Kecharians. You guys are beautiful people, work day and night for the benefits of others. Your commitments make different to many people’s life. I believe this should be the only reason for our existence in this world! Honestly it is shameful to just write a comment here but not being part of the full-time kecharians yet.
Thank you very very much for working so hard for the benefits of all of us. With folded hands, Om Mani Padme Hung _/\_

    Dear Rinpoche,

Thank you. I am totally speechless and I had to pause a few times while reading this post because I was so overwhelmed.

Rinpoche, the fact that I am accepted as part of KMP / Kechara, in itself is a great blessing. What more should I ask for? I learn so much from my dear friend and colleague, Sharon (Saw), who has been ever so kind and nurturing since the very beginning. And of course Celebrity Host Li Kim is the bestest boss in the world and I have known. :-)

I believe that we will make it big because we are big.

I am very proud to be a Kecharian & KMPian, of my KMP Family and my Celebrity Boss.

Thank you, Rinpoche and I can only repay your kindness, care and love by doing more and giving more.

    Sincerely,
    Wendy

      Dear Wendy,

I have literally been spending every moment with you these past few days and I must say that you are a very colorful person. I would like to share here with everyone so that they know.

When we were at the 6th Asian Film Awards on Monday, Wendy knew so much from the famous people to all the films mentioned. I had more fun watching here excited reaction than the awards itself!

You have been great in supporting and promoting me at this Filmart. I think I would have totally chickened out if not for you “pushing” me and encouraging me. THANK YOU!

  7. Datuk May on Mar 21, 2012 at 5:14 pm

So descriptive, when Rinpoche mentioned that when there is porridge, we all eat porridge and when there is rice, we all eat rice.

Also jump into the frying pan and start cooking. With these two illustrations in mind, where else can Kechara go but UP! UP and soaring in the Skies!

The most simple and illustrative descriptions for us desiring to make Dharma our live and career.

As the mother of STAR BOSS or CELEBRITY BOSS, I thank all in this great Family of Kechara to make it happen.

Next will be your turn, maybe not celebrity in the form like LiKim but one which all of us Kecharians should go for to be a STAR and CELEBRITY KECHARIAN, shine as we move about in our lives, radiating love, care with great compassion.

Thank you all in Hongkong and not forgetting our current SuperStar, Dato Ruby.

    • Li Kim on Mar 22, 2012 at 1:44 am

I remember when I was a kid I wanted to be an actress… I would rent all the chinese drama series and memorize the scripts, since I could not read chinese… I would then make Datuk May and my dad sit through hours after dinner to watch me act. Thinking about it now makes me laugh, I was such a drama queen even then… My grandfather told me he would build me my own production studio and he said I could produce and star in all my own movies! Yes, I was a spoilt rotten little princess!

Then my grandfather passed away when I was 16 and this dream died with him.

Today, I am given this same opportunity and I thought it would be a breeze…what I forgot was I grew up and was less thick skin and even maybe became shy with age. When Rinpoche told me to go become a celebrity, I was scared and did not even think I will get this far to show my face here in HK Filmart and have the guts to strut around like I AM a celebrity!

Well, I am here and have strut around and even insisted people like Glenn Berger (screenwriter of Kung Fu Panda) keep and hold my Tsem Paranormal Zone folder. And he did! He carried it around and was talking to others with the folder in his hands face front with my face. Of course, I was stalking him la and making sure he did not put it down… I must be pretty yet scary too! Paranormal Host I AM!

Whenever I get scared and want to chicken away, I just remember Rinpoche’s words to me to be scared and just do it. I have nothing to lose. So what if I fail temporarily… Indeed so what! I get up and go again…simple. THANK YOU RINPOCHE FOR GIVING ME COURAGE TO FACE MY OWN DEMONS. And giving me this opportunity to make a childhood dream come true now for a much bigger cause!

Last but not least Thank you mom, you have been my strength and inspiration. I LOVE YOU!!!!

So good to see KIM and Li Kim moving in the direction of making movies especially related to Rinpoche’s bio movie. Rinpoche’s has much to offer about Hope, determination and success, and his story spans 3 countries and how a modern day lama arises to benefit so many. Rinpoche;s blog for example has lifted many people’s spirits about facing the chalenges of this world, and some who contemplated about suicide decided otherwise hence Rinpoche’s movie it will inspire many people. That they are not alone and there is HOPE in the darkest situations. To read more about Rinpoche’s motivation about making a movie see here http://blog.tsemtulku.com/tsem-tulku-rinpoche/me/my-reasons-for-doing-a-movie.html

And the last person to be scared should be LI KIM :)

  11. Pastor Susan on Jun 10, 2012 at 11:41 pm

Li Kim is an incredibly charming, intelligent, beautiful person (in and out) who has a heart of gold. I do not doubt she’ll make it big in the film world and I can already imagine seeing her on big screen. Not being biased because I love her dearly but she has the charisma and looks good on screen! :)

Wendy works very hard and is a super creative person and I wish much success to both Li Kim and Wendy to have all the resources required to go on big screen and tv shows all over the world!!! :)

The Buddha teaches that every sentient being has the same potential to attain Buddhahood that he had. Before attaining enlightenment, the Buddha had many, many lives: sometimes he was a human, sometimes an animal, sometimes an insect, and so on.
All those who have become Buddha’s started out just like us. They were not Buddhas from the beginning. They obtained a special human life, came in contact with the teachings, and seriously practiced them over a long period of time. Slowly their mental affliction and ignorance decreased and their spiritual qualities increased.
With a great deal of effort and courage they attained enlightenment. Because all living creatures have the same potential, all of them can attain enlightenment if they meet with a proper method, have enough courage, and exert enough effort.
Right now flies and insect have an inferior physical body and mind, so for the present they cannot produce these qualities, but they have the potential to do so someday. Shantideva advises us to ask ourselves, “since even animal can attain Buddhahood, why can’t I do it?”

Unlike animals or other unfortunate beings, we have a wonderful opportunity to accomplish enormous things; it is easy to see this by comparing spiritual development to an arduous physical task. Our ability to complete the task is severely compromised if we have to do every part of it by hand. If we have the right machines, the work will be accomplished easily. Similarly, in samsara the human life we now have is best equipped for accomplishing our ultimate goals. Human have the intelligence to understand the benefits and disadvantages of virtue and non-virtue, to deduce from present circumstances what type of causes we created in the past, and infer from our present actions what will happen in the future. With this kind of mental aptitude, of course we can attain enlightenment if we persevere with courage. We should encourage ourselves with this type of praise. Shantideva summarizes this reasoning as follows:

    I should not be indolent,
Saying, “How can I attain Buddhahood?”
Because the Buddha who says what is true
    Has spoken this truth:

    “even flies, bees, mosquitoes,
    And other types of insects
Can attain the highest enlightenment so difficult to attain
    If they exert powerful effort.”

Someone like me, born as a human,
Is able to distinguish benefit from harm.
    Why couldn’t I attain enlightenment
If I don’t give up the Bodhisatva practice?

If your angersome, it means you are spoiled.
If you want things to be given to you, then you want others to do your work.
If you complain without doing, it means you want an easy way out.
If you have no integrity, it means you have never earned respect.
If you are always late with your promises, it means you take things for granted.
If you always argue to win, it’s because you allowed yourself to lose in life.
If you are not concerned about others, then you have been overly self absorbed.
If you don’t wish to change your situation, it’s because you don’t consider others and their despair for you.
If you are arrogant, it’s because others are to be used by you.
If you are intolerant, it’s because you want things only your way.
If you are full of hatred, it’s because you only wish to benefit yourself.
If you always lie, then you innately think others dumb and unworthy.

The highest achievements are usually done alone.~Tsem Rinpoche (Sometimes the further you move up and achieve, the less people will be around or unable to keep up. Some cannot understand, accept or wish to do more and they can drop off. Some may wish you well but cannot keep up anyways. The higher your goals, the less most are able to understand or envision. Some may be even against you. But what is important is you stay focused and consistent. After all big achievements are done by only a few and not the majority. Highest achievements are usually done alone or with a very few. Stamina, vision, consistency, focus, care, responsibility and sometimes even a sense of compassion is necessary to achieve anything big. Giving up gets us nowhere, so continuing is a good option. When you make it, some will come back, many will join and the naysayers regret and wished they had stayed. Tsem Rinpoche)

I must thank my dharma blog team who are great assets to me, Kechara and growth of dharma in this wonderful region. I am honoured and thrilled to work with them. I really am. Maybe I don't say it enough to them, but I am saying it now. I APPRECIATE THESE GUYS VERY MUCH!

The Unknown

The Known and unknown are both feared,
Known is being comfortable and stagnant,
The unknown may be growth and opportunities,
One shall never know if one fears the unknown more than the known.
Who says the unknown would be worse than the known?
But then again, the unknown is sometimes worse than the known. In the end nothing is known unless we endeavour,
So go pursue all the way with the unknown,
because all unknown with familiarity becomes the known.

Mother gorilla's heart- A child fell into the gorilla cage. She broke her arms and legs and she was unconcious. A male gorilla came and tried to hurt her. Luckily, a female gorilla rescued her by chasing other gorillas away not to hurt her. This is an instinct of mother animals that take care of their babies. The mother gorilla climbed the 57 ft wall and took the girl to the zoo officer. The girl was sent to hospital and the doctor cured her. Thanks to mother gorilla's kind heart. -From FB (Please always be kind to animal. Never hurt them, kill them or eat them. Tsem Rinpoche)

When this female named Dorothy died of heart failure, all the chimpanzee family came out of the forest to say good bye..... the most stunning reaction was a recurring, almost tangible silence, reported staff at Cameroon’s Sanaga-Yong Chimpanzee Rescue Centre. If you know chimpanzees, then you know that they are not usually silent beings. I think it’s beautiful how many of the chimps are touching each others’ shoulders.~from Butterbin

Dear Andree Duckworth, Thank you very much for your feedback on our Kechara Pastors. They work very hard, they have great knowledge and very patient. I started the program so people who wish to bring dharma to others can have a lay life as well as a spiritual life recognized by others. Halfway to monk/nun-hood without being ordained. So naming them Pastors and having basic lay vows is good and it helps the public in Malaysia to identify with them easily. It worked out very much. I hope you will let them know you are benefitted by their hardwork. They will appreciate it very much as I do. Tsem R

The Girl Who Couldn't Cry - Water is Life
It's really hard to educate a generation of people born in conditions where they take things for granted. A simple slogan campaign that says, "Save water, It's precious" isn't sticky enough to make inroads. That's exactly where this video steps in: to make people realize how precious water actually is. A brilliant video that follows the heartbreaking story of a young girl that cannot cry. Sounds like fiction? Sadly, it is not.

Now Buddhas are not stuck or blocked in on just a physical emanation or just one way of emanating to benefit beings. Because they have an enlightened mind based on altruism, and they have skillful means, that skillful means can manifest based in body, sound, sight. So therefore when the three countless aeons of virtue of a Buddha manifest in sound, it is called mantras. Mantras are the sound emanation of a Buddha’s three aeons of ethical conduct, virtue, practices, asceticism. ~‪#‎Mantras‬-Holy Words of Power http://www.tsemrinpoche.com/?p=28029 Our topic for our next blog chat sharing for the next two weeks: USA Fridays Oct 31st & Nov 7th @ 8pm PST and M'sia Saturdays Nov 1st & Nov 8th @ 11am GMT+8 ~Joy

~Exciting information on Tsongkapa!~ #3B Name me 10 things Tsongkapa and Arya Nagarjuna have in common?~Tsem Rinpoche Similarities between Ary Nagarjuna & Lord Tsongkapa: 6. Both had thousands of disciples and many erudite masters arose from studying with them. 7. Both ordained many into monkhood as they found this to be perfect in practicing. 8. Both believed in not revealing tantra practice to the general public. 9. Both studied emptiness/practiced emptiness and wrote extensively on it in order to clear the doubts for many practitioners. Because of their extensive teachings and writing on emptiness, many were liberated from rebirth. 10. Both attained full enlightenment within their lifetime. Tsongkapa in bardo.
