Profile

Adeline Woon is a Buddhist Pastor and a Sangha-to-be in Kechara who enjoys learning and sharing the Dharma with others. Due to her deep interest in Buddhism from a young age, Adeline enrolled herself into the Dharma Drum University in Taiwan, where she graduated with a Master in Religious Studies in 2012. Adeline eventually crossed paths online, on this very blog, with her Root Guru, H.E. the 25th Tsem Rinpoche. As she study the Dharma teachings explained by Tsem Rinpoche, her interest in Vajrayana Buddhism and devotion towards Rinpoche blossomed. Soon after, she joined Kechara to fulfil her Guru's wish to help all sentient beings out of samsara.

(中文分享请往下看) On July 21, 2016, 16 of us came together to engage in a retreat on the sacred practice of Manjushri. It was a four-day retreat in between work and assignments. By the end of the retreat we had each recited 100,000 mantras. Collectively we accumulated 1.6 million mantras altogether. During the retreat, our Guru, His Eminence the 25th Tsem Rinpoche shared a message with us on the state of the mind and the benefit of Manjushri’s practice. “Outer obstacles (financial, sickness, fear, disasters, etc.) arise from our own actions. Blog Chat Etiquette

These are some simple guidelines to make the blog chat room a positive, enjoyable and enlightening experience for everyone. Please note that as this is a chat room, we chat! Do not flood the chat room, or post without interacting with others.

EXPAND
Be friendly

Remember that these are real people you are chatting with. They may have different opinions to you and come from different cultures. Treat them as you would face to face, and respect their opinions, and they will treat you the same.

Be Patient

Give the room a chance to answer you. Patience is a virtue. And if after awhile, people don't respond, perhaps they don't know the answer or they did not see your question. Do ask again or address someone directly. Do not be offended if people do not or are unable to respond to you.

Be Relevant

This is the blog of H.E. Tsem Rinpoche. Please respect this space. We request that all participants here are respectful of H.E. Tsem Rinpoche and his organisation, Kechara.

Be polite

Avoid the use of language or attitudes which may be offensive to others. If someone is disrespectful to you, ignore them instead of arguing with them.

Please be advised that anyone who contravenes these guidelines may be banned from the chatroom. Banning is at the complete discretion of the administrator of this blog. Should anyone wish to make an appeal or complaint about the behaviour of someone in the chatroom, please copy paste the relevant chat in an email to us at care@kechara.com and state the date and time of the respective conversation.

Please let this be a conducive space for discussions, both light and profound.

A happy sponsor meeting our 'Star'. Mrs. Wong sponsored most of the fabric for our rugs requested to meet our star apprentice. She enjoyed herself chatting with Sarina and even bought some pieces of the rugs. She's happy to see some of the fabric donated turned into bags. She's especially pleased to see the HEXAGON BAG. Mrs. Wong bought along more fabric for Sarina and her team. This bag can be used as your Lunch-bag, to carry your toiletries or a simple bag to go shopping in. Limited edition and unique bags to carry along to your bookclub or morning coffee session even to your hair salons. Make it the talking point. PM 0125303887 to order or purchase. - Vivian @ Kechara Soup Kitchen
