Into the Universe With Stephen Hawking – The Story Of Everything

May 8, 2019 | Views: 3,601

Watch enlightening documentaries online! Into the Universe With Stephen Hawking – The Story Of Everything (2010) In two mind-blowing hours, Hawking reveals the wonders of the cosmos to a new generation. Delve into the mind of the worlds most famous living scientist and reveal the splendor and majesty of the universe as never seen before.

See how the universe began, how it creates stars, black holes and life — and how everything will end. As Lord Buddha taught, everything big and small is impermanent. No matter how permanent it may appear, it is changing on a very subtle level the ordinary eye cannot percieve. Since that is the case, to not be attached and build all types of psycho dramas and illusions around it which makes us suffer so much more. It not only makes us suffer, it makes the people around us suffer. We have to think HOW TO GIVE TO OTHERS AND NOT TAKE ALWAYS.

Please see these videos and learn. I care about everyone very much.

Stephen Hawking is a world-renowned British theoretical physicist, known for his contributions to the fields of cosmology, general relativity and quantum gravity. Watching his amazing videos , I concluded the world is a vast of the last centuries and there are things which cannot be seen within our eyes. He was known for his ground breaking work with black holes and was the author of several popular science books. Interesting to watch these videos to understand better of the universe, galaxy, stars, milky ways, gravity , black holes and so forth. All these exists billion of years ago. Some new knowledge to know for many of us.
    Thank you Rinpoche for sharing.

These are fascinating videos about the origins of things, time and how things correlate with each other. So many things happened where our eyes cannot see, yet it took place and unfolded into what it is today. The universe is so vast with unlimited unknown bespoke to us, human. Since we are relatively lesser than a speck of dust, we should focus on making the world around us a better place instead of looking at selfish gain, because at the end of the day, what we own and possess are nothing. Thank you, Rinpoche, for the sharing.

Amazing videos, from one of the leading scientist in the world. Watching the videos I feel that everything that is created has a cause its not purely something random. And the fact the universe is so massive , it is such a waste of space if only our ball of dirt has life. Bad design by God?

    Stephen Hawkings rocks!

Amazing videos Rinpoche, thank you for blogging about them. I really like the line – “The next time someone complains you have made a mistake, tell him, “Without imperfection, neither you nor I would exist”.”

Likewise the same can be applied to us – when someone’s made a mistake, remembering that line will help us to learn forgiveness. No one’s perfect…and if everyone were perfect as Buddhas, then the universe/samsara would cease to exist.

Thank you so much for this article. King Trisong Detsen was the monarch responsible for the official adoption of Buddhism as the state religion of Tibet and for putting it under royal patronage. The incarnation was Trisong Detsen, andThe Bodhisattva Manjushri, wishing to spread the Dharma and to ensure its proliferation, decided to take rebirth as a king of Tibet.

King Trisong Detsen founded Samye Monastery where the ordination of the first seven Tibetans as Buddhist monks took place, and sponsored the translation of numerous Buddhist texts.Thank you.

Thank you so much for this article. By reading this article, i get to know that the initial Tibetan migration to the Himalayan region was due to a search for a beyul or a supreme hidden valley. At the same time, Sherpas and Tibetans also believe that Mount Everest is the abode of the goddess Jomo Miyolangsangma.

Miyolangsangma, the Goddess of Inexhaustible Giving, is one of the Five Long-life Sisters. It is a belief that Miyolangsangma distributes wealth and good fortune for certain, expeditions and treks to Mount Everest have brought affluence to many Sherpas in modern times. Thank you.

It was through such meditations on Chenrezig and his qualities of compassion, along with the teachings that Rinpoche received from his teacher, His Eminence Kensur Rinpoche Lobsang Tharchin, that Rinpoche was able to tolerate and even forgive his mother for the mental, physical and emotional abuse that she put the young Rinpoche through. A couple of years later in 1979, when Rinpoche was 14 years old, Rinpoche had the great fortune to attend a teaching by His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama in Washington, New Jersey. That particular teaching was on the Eight Verses of Thought Transformation and it was also during that time that Rinpoche received the oral transmission of Chenrezig’s mantra, OM MANI PEME HUNG, from His Holiness.

“It is such a pity that because of the Dorje Shugden ban, people like me get distracted from knowing this Dharma master beyond the controversy. It is a great loss that his insightful and generous teachings conveyed in a relatable manner are lost in the fight between pro-Dorje Shugden and pro-Dalai Lama groups.”

Expanding on this thought, I realized how many good lessons in life we miss because we focus on the negative aspects of life that blind us from the hope that still shines before us everyday. The wider impact of this “little ban” is significant because it reveals how we permit things to be despite knowing it is completely wrong and that it destroys all the civil progress that our forefathers fought for. It is like shutting one eye and walking away from a situation where help is desperately needed.

A few years ago my Chinese TCM doctor discovered something wrong in my liver and asked me to go for Western medical checkup. It appeared that I had some hardening of my liver, which if left untreated or just the way it is can turn into something more terminal. So that diagnosis came out and I was put on a diet and given special medication for that. During that time, my students contacted Choje-la’s assistants, asking that the next time he takes trance, to please ask the dharma protector if there’s any pujas, or any recourse or what should be done for me.

The next thing I knew, Choje-la got on a plane with his entourage and landed in Malaysia to see me. I had the honor of having him stay in my own home. It was during that time that I have gotten to know Choje-la better, and it turns out that he is a very knowledgeable monk, a very kindly, well-experienced monk who has no agenda, has very strong guru devotion and very pure in his monk vows. I grew to respect, love and admire this monk, and really thought to myself that I am lucky to have him as a friend now, because he’s a really good monk and person. These qualities move me. Pure monks are very beneficial to dharma. He inspires me very much. During many difficult times, he has taken trance at my request in order that I can consult the dharma protector for certain answers that really kept me in the dark and that would have made a huge difference both wrong or right if the right steps were not implemented.

Thank you, Rinpoche and the blog team for sharing the story of how Dorje Shugden healed Tsem Rinpoche through a prestige oracle. It is interesting to know that Dorje Shugden and Tsem Rinpoche have such close relationship that Dorje Shugden would straight away fly to him when Rinpoche needed help.

Dorje Shugden showed off his healing abilities here and we are indeed fortunate to have the chance to meet and practice the sadhana of such a powerful being. This also showed off the power of faith in the almighty protector Shugden. When we have faith and we are sincere in doing Dharma, the protector will clear our obstacles even if we have a serious condition that can be proven to be fatal.

Such cases are not rare and it is well known that Dorje Shugden can perform miracles for those who believed in him. This is due to Dorje Shugden’s close affinity with us which enables him to give us the blessings that we need.

The Unknown

The Known and unknown are both feared,
Known is being comfortable and stagnant,
The unknown may be growth and opportunities,
One shall never know if one fears the unknown more than the known.
Who says the unknown would be worse than the known?
But then again, the unknown is sometimes worse than the known. In the end nothing is known unless we endeavour,
So go pursue all the way with the unknown,
because all unknown with familiarity becomes the known.

Find one of the most beautiful temples in the world in Nara, Japan. It is the 1,267 year old Todai-ji temple that houses a 15 meter Buddha Vairocana statue who is a cosmic and timeless Buddha. Emperor Shomu who sponsored this beautiful temple eventually abdicated and ordained as a Buddhist monk. Very interesting history and story. One of the places everyone should visit- https://bit.ly/2VgsHhK

Silver Manjusri figure from Ngemplak Semongan (Indonesia). Apparently during the Shailendra Dynasty, Mahayana Buddhism was very strong in Indonesia. This Dynasty promoted Mahayana Buddhism and Manjushri was a principal Buddha of worship.

  • What the meat industry figured out is that you don't need healthy animals to make a profit.
    2 yearss ago
What the meat industry figured out is that you don't need healthy animals to make a profit.
Sick animals are more profitable... farms calculate how close to death they can keep animals without killing them. That's the business model. How quickly they can be made to grow, how tightly they can be packed, how much or how little can they eat, how sick they can get without dying... We live in a world in which it's conventional to treat an animal like a block of wood. ~ Jonathan Safran Foer
