CLEAN YOUR KIDNEYS

Years pass by and our kidneys are filtering the blood by removing salt, poison and any unwanted entering our body. With time, the salt accumulates and this needs to undergo cleaning treatments and how are we going to overcome this?

It is very easy, first take a bunch of parsley or Cilantro (Coriander Leaves) and wash it clean… Then cut it in small pieces and put it in a pot and pour clean water and boil it for ten minutes and let it cool down and then filter it and pour in a clean bottle and keep it inside refrigerator to cool.

Drink one glass daily and you will notice all salt and other accumulated poison coming out of your kidney by urination also you will be able to notice the difference which you never felt before.

Parsley (Cilantro) is known as best cleaning treatment for kidneys and it is natural!

Kidney disease can get worse over time and may lead to kidney failure. Our kidney is one of our major organs that is very important in our body. We are to take care of it before its too late. Taking foods or drinks that helps to cleanse the kidney such parsley is beneficial. Parsley has been shown to act as a natural diuretic, which can increase urination and prevent kidney stone formation. It is one of the very best treatments to help cleanse the kidneys. Researcher has proven that parsley have numerous benefits other than cleansing the kidney , it is rich in vitamin C, which is needed for immune function, wound healing, nutrient absorption, and so forth. Wow…..amazing it may have cancer-fighting properties as well. Drinking parsley drinks could act as a natural remedy to treat issues related to hormone levels too.

Thank you for sharing with us the all-natural way to take care of our wellbeings. I personally don’t like to take processed food including supplements. Natural things like vegetables or herbs go very well with our body and easier for our body to absorb.

Our modern diet is not very healthy due to food flavourings, preservatives, etcs. In order to neutralise the effects of these chemicals, we should consume all-natural food to maintain our health. Kidney is one the most important organs in our body, we must not neglect it.

I do not enjoy munching on parsley or coriander, but the benefits sound too enticing! Will try this drink out and let you guys know how it is! Post on here your feedback too 🙂

Delicious! I actually accidentally tried it the other day… it does not taste that bad at all haha. I love all these ala natural kind of recipes! They are great at keeping you healthy and a natural source of alternative medicine healing from nature.

Like they say… prevention is better than cure hence isn’t it better to eat and drink healthy now then to cough out thousands to fix your body when it is too too late? We are what we eat… so if we put in poison then we will be poisonous…like eating meat which is self-destructive http://blog.tsemtulku.com/tsem-tulku-rinpoche/animals-vegetarianism/ask-your-doctor-about-meat%E2%84%A2.html

i love cilantro so this sounds like a delicious detox.. will definitely try it. Our kidneys are very vital yet we abuse them with the junk we consume. So many people i know have kidneys which are not working well already and it is difficult to restore them. Especially people who have a lot of disorders like high cholesterol, diabetes, gout etc usually have a whole cocktail of medicines which may address the respective diseases but usually it will end up weakening the kidneys which work overtime to process the chemicals. My dad’s kidneys are not functioning well so perhaps he will try this concoction. Thank you for this article! It will be very useful for many people.

  34. David Lai on May 7, 2013 at 1:22 am

Parsley, coriander or cilantro are different names for the same herb. Now I know. I think this reminds us that we are so caught up with our lives that we often neglect what our bodies need. All of us need good nutrition and all of us need good food. The amazing thing about natural foods is that they can be medicinal as well.

Also, we would take care of our body, skin, hair, nails and so forth but we often neglect something as essential as our kidneys till it is too late. Therefore, it is wise to always nurture and take care of our bodies so we can have long lives practicing the Dharma and directly and indirectly serving others.

  35. sarahyap on May 7, 2013 at 12:42 am

Thank you for this wonderful recipe!

Taking care of our health is a very important aspect in life, when we do, it is not that we’re attached to our body in such a way as some people try to preserve their youthfulness though using different methods to stop aging… but preserving our health so that we age gracefully and can continue to serve the Dharma even if we’re 90 years old… that would be wonderful.

May everyone possess great health so that they may continue conducting virtuous actions with their physical body.

  54. Andrew Boon on May 4, 2013 at 6:35 pm

I LOVE coriander! Coriander has MANY health benefits. It is like a superfood for the raw foodies out there. I have always loved the ever so pungent but tangy taste with a slight citrus twist of this wonderful herb:

    Health Benefits of Coriander

The health benefits of coriander include treatment of swellings, high cholesterol levels, diarrhea, Mouth ulcers, anemia, digestion, menstrual disorders, small pox, eye care, conjunctivitis, skin disorders, blood sugar disorders, etc.

Coriander, commonly known as Dhania in the Indian Subcontinent or Cilantro in the Americas and some part of Europe, is an herb which is extensively used around the world as a condiment or as a garnish or as a decoration on the dishes. Its scientific name is Coriandrum Sativum L. Its leaves and fruits have typical aroma and are used raw or dried in culinary.

But that part of introduction was only the tip of the ice-berg. Coriander has so many benefits that a book can be written on them. It has eleven components of essential oils, six types of acids (including ascorbic acid, better known as vitamin-C), minerals and vitamins, each having a number of beneficial properties. The rest is given below.

Skin inflammation: Cineole, one of the 11 components of the essential oils, and linoleic acid, present in coriander, possess anti rheumatic and anti arthritic properties, which are very beneficial for swelling caused due to these two reasons. For others, such as swelling due to malfunctioning of kidney or anemia, it is seen to be effective to some extent, as some of the components help excretion of extra water from the body while.

High cholesterol levels: Some of the acids present in coriander viz. linoleic acid, oleic acid, palmitic acid, stearic acid and ascorbic acid (vitamin-C) are very effective in reducing the cholesterol level in the blood. They also reduce the cholesterol deposition along the inner walls of the arteries and veins.

Diarrhea: Some of the components of essential oils in coriander such as Borneol and Linalool, aid digestion, proper functioning of liver and bonding of bowels, helping cure diarrhea. It is also helpful in diarrhea caused by microbial and fungal action, since components like Cineole, Borneol, Limonene, Alpha-pinene & beta-phelandrene have anti bacterial effects. In addition, the fresh coriander leaves are excellent appetizers.

Mouth ulcers: Citronelol, a component of essential oils in coriander, is an excellent antiseptic. In addition, other components have anti microbial and healing effects which do not let wounds and ulcers in the mouth go worse. They aid healing up of ulcers and freshen up the breath.

Anemia: Coriander is good in iron content which directly helps curing anemia.

Digestion: Coriander, due to its rich aroma because of its essential oils, apart from being an excellent appetizer, helps in proper secretion of enzymes and digestive juices in the stomach, stimulates digestion and peristaltic motion. It is helpful in treating problems like anorexia.

Small pox: The essential oils in coriander are rich in anti microbial, anti oxidant, anti infectious and detoxifying components and acids. The presence of vitamin-C and iron strengthen the immune system too. These properties help prevent and cure small pox. They also reduce the pain and have a soothing effect on pox patients.

Menstrual disorders: Being stimulating in nature and helping proper secretion from the endocrine glands, it also helps proper secretion of the hormones and thereby inducing proper menstrual cycles and reducing pains etc. during periods.

Eye care: Coriander has lots of anti oxidants, vitamin-A, vitamin-C and minerals like phosphorus in the essential oils in it which prevents aging of eye, macular degeneration and soothes eyes against stress.

Conjunctivitis: As discussed earlier, coriander is a very good disinfectant and has anti microbial properties which protect the eyes from contagious diseases like conjunctivitis.

Skin disorders: The disinfectant, detoxifying, anti-septic, anti-fungal and anti-oxidant properties of cumin are ideal for curing skin disorders such as eczema, dryness and fungal infections.

Blood sugar: Due the stimulating effect of cumin on the endocrine glands, the secretion of insulin is increased from pancreas which increases the insulin level in the blood, thereby helping proper assimilation and absorption of sugar and resultant fall in the sugar level in the blood. This property is very beneficial for the diabetes patients and others too.

Other benefits: Still want more from it? You get it! Coriander helps cure ulcer, inflammation, spasm and acts as an expectorant, protects and soothes liver. It is anti-carcinogenic, anti-convulsant, anti-histaminic and hypnotic. Coriander is believed to be a natural aphrodisiac and previously it was extensively used in certain preparations, combined with other herbs, to enhance libido.

The magnificent Jetavanaramaya Stupa in Anuradhapura, in Sri Lanka is considered as one of the most sacred pilgrimage places. Located in the ruins of Jetavana monastery in the UNESCO world heritage city . It is an ancient Buddhist reliquary monument, built by King Mahasena of Anuradhapura in (273–301). It is also significant in recorded history as one of the tallest structures in the ancient world. The structure is no longer the tallest, but it is still the largest. Interesting story of Empress Dowager Xiaozhuang ,known as the Mother of the Qing Dynasty by many. She was the consort of Hong Taiji and was honoured as Empress Dowager Zhaosheng who was of the Khorchin Mongol Borjigit clan a Mongolian princess. She was a woman with intellectual and political interests, attaining the powerful position of Empress Dowager in Qing . She is credited in helping bringing Tibetan Buddhism to China. Albert Einstein was a German-born theoretical physicist, widely acknowledged to be one of the greatest and most influential physicists of all time. Famous for devising his theory of relativity, which revolutionized our understanding of space, time, gravity, and the universe .
Albert Einstein did said that Buddhism is a philosophy, not a religion. Buddhism has the characteristics of what would be expected in a cosmic religion for the future. If there is any religion that would cope with modern scientific needs, it would be Buddhism.
He is often cited as one of the most influential scientists of the 20th century. His work continues to help astronomers study everything from gravitational waves to Mercury’s orbit. It is universal truth….as it covers both the natural and the spiritual and Buddhism has the answers. Interesting read. Reading through this post tell Einstein truly tell his love for Buddhism.

Revisit this old post again listening to the songs by George Michael and Elton John. It was more than 30 years ago that George Michael and Elton John’s duet of “Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me.” It’s known as one of the greatest pop duets of all time. Letting go is incredibly difficult. No matter what if we cling to worries about the future, or if we keep replaying the mistakes of the past we will never be happy. Let go and move on, if we want to be happy, do not dwell in the past, do not worry about the future, focus on living fully in the present. Time doesn’t heal emotional pain, we need to learn how to let go for sure. Learning Dharma is the best choice to focus on living fully and meaningfully in the present. Do not quit or give up nor matter what happens in life.
    Thankyou Rinpoche for this sharing.

The interesting biography of King Trisong Detsen, the second Dharma-king of Tibet, who truly established Buddhism in the Land of Snow . King Trisong Detsen, the 38th Yarlung King, had ruled over Tibet from 754 CE to 799 CE. He was the monarch responsible for the official adoption of Buddhism as the state religion of Tibet. It was due to his efforts that the great masters came from India and established Buddhism firmly in Tibet. He was also the king who invited nine royal physicians from neighbouring countries and laid the foundation of Tibetan medicine. Interesting read.

The Great Buddha of Kamakura ,is a bronze statue of Amida Buddha, which stands on the grounds of Kotokuin Temple in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, a temple belonging to the Jodo Sect of Buddhism. Wow…. it has long been the second tallest bronze Buddha statue in Japan, with a height of 11.4 meters. It is one of Japan’s most fascinating historical landmarks where thousands of tourist from all over the world visited yearly. The statue is an iconic sight and most visited by tourist in the area. Merely looking at this huge statue tells all and a blessing indeed.

The best is even Dharma songs as well revolving around Tibetan culture and religion. One of the band members is a long-time student of Tibetan Buddhism. Interesting spiritual journey of Venerable Longlian one of the best-known students of a famous religious leader of modern China. Venerable Longlian was a talented child, at the age of four she could read, write well and was fluent in Chinese poetry. She even could recite scriptures and Buddha’s name and had visited frequently to templesqith her grandparents. Ven. Longlian studied everything from poetry to Chinese medicine under famous teachers at that time. Received teachings from Tibetan scholars as well and took initiations of the three main Gelugpa tantric deities, Vajrabhairava, Guhyasamaja and Chakrasamvara from Changkya Khutukhtu, who was one of the highest authorities in the Gelugpa school of Tibetan Buddhism. She did composed more than 1000 poems, through her years.

In the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, monastic vows are for life. But somehow Ci’en temple in Zhejiang province offers three-month course and part-time vows recently. Situated in the luxurious forest, Ci’en temple a small temple remains its charm with impressive landscape and Buddhist culture. The Buddhist temple decided to offer admission to civilians who wanted to experience a monk’s life, only to be overwhelmed with applicants. It’s a small temple , hence only those were interested in Buddhism were given a chance. Participants of the program will live as monks in the temple free of charge. They will learn about Buddhist culture, read its scriptures and will also perform all Buddhist activities as arranged. It’s a good training ground to live as a monk or nun to cultivate minds.

Ditsa Monastery is a Tibetan Buddhist monastery of Gelug sect in the Huzhu County of Qinghai province. Interesting history of this Ditsa Monastery, been shared . How the reincarnated Lama’s body has shrunk into an incorruptible adamantine body. Nobody at the monastery has realised that the reincarnated Lama was a Great Bodhisattva who came to the world for all sentient beings, but as ordinary people. Its only after the Lama had passed away. Since then the monks in Ditsa Monastery became more serious in their practice and maintained pure moral discipline. Reading this post has gave me a better understanding of that Bodhisattvas come into the world with a variety of manifestations as explained by Rinpoche. Set as a reminder to devote ourselves to our teacher with sincerity and respect and everyone we encounter.

Meditation on death awareness is one of the oldest practices in all Buddhist traditions. Buddhist meditation practice of remembering that death can strike at anytime and anywhere. We should practice diligently and with urgency in every moment, even in the time it takes to draw one breath. Over the centuries Buddhism has evolved many different techniques such as mindfulness, loving-kindness and visualisation. Death awareness can serve as a real aid to practice, the importance of using every moment wisely, while we still have the time.
Reading this article again to refresh , it’s a profound teachings one should read and understand it what is all about. All it take us 10 minutes of our time to do the practice.
Thank you Rinpoche for this profound teachings.

The Unknown

The Known and unknown are both feared,
Known is being comfortable and stagnant,
The unknown may be growth and opportunities,
One shall never know if one fears the unknown more than the known.
Who says the unknown would be worse than the known?
But then again, the unknown is sometimes worse than the known. In the end nothing is known unless we endeavour,
So go pursue all the way with the unknown,
because all unknown with familiarity becomes the known.

    5 yearss ago
What the meat industry figured out is that you don't need healthy animals to make a profit.
Sick animals are more profitable... farms calculate how close to death they can keep animals without killing them. That's the business model. How quickly they can be made to grow, how tightly they can be packed, how much or how little can they eat, how sick they can get without dying... We live in a world in which it's conventional to treat an animal like a block of wood. ~ Jonathan Safran Foer

We are in the third week of Ramadan this year, and kind volunteers have never failed to feed people in need since Tengku Zatashah started this meaningful #zerofoodwastage initiative in 2016. The aim is to benefit the underprivileged with nice surplus food collected from Ramadan buffets. Every night during the month of Ramadan, volunteers collect surplus cooked food from hotels and distribute it to charity homes and low-income families. THANK YOU, Tengku, dedicated volunteers and hotel partners, for making this Ramadan special for the underprivileged. #kecharasoupkitchen #kecharafoodbank #kecharaempowerment - KSK @ Vivian

In 2021, we've encountered far too many challenges—Pandemic, months-long lockdown, landslide, and flood. We are proud to witness Malaysians helping one another as these agonies come sequentially. Looking back to 2021, Kechara Soup Kitchen has made significant progress, with more to come in 2022. Every year, we move a little closer to our vision. We are immensely thankful to have such dedicated teams of volunteers willing to go above and beyond for our clients. Not to mention our sponsors and donors; none of this would have been possible without you. Thank you. Thank you for being you. Thank you for helping the underprivileged to a better future. Have a blessed year ahead from our hearts to your hearts. #2022 #newyear #kecharasoupkitchen #kecharafoodbank #kecharaempowerment
