   There is only one Lama in the world that I know whom will do so much more than teach his students. Rinpoche will cook, shop and do many other things for his students. Why? Because he cares. No one else in life has shown as much care to me and many people at the same time as Rinpoche. Never. His compassion can overflow the seven seas and flood the Earth. He is that kind. He cares so much for his students. He will make sure if the students are okay. He will get medicine and treatment for those who are sick. He will give hope to the hopeless and make joy out of the joyless.

   Rinpoche is always a good mentor for us and his students to be kind, caring and loving in a spiritual way. Although Rinpoche stay up for the whole day and work tirelessly, he still take good care of everyone 🙂 Thank you Rinpoche for the love and care!

   Wow , wonderful breakfast prepared by Rinpoche ,this is very touching .Rinpoche is compassion , always take care and love everyone , not only apply on human but animals also. Rinpoche always inspire me that benefit others . Thank you Rinpoche 🙂

   仁波切的关心是无限的。很多人会认为对别人好，一定有什么目的，我相信仁波切的目的是要我们接受了，就得学会如何去对别人好。其实不管别人如何想，最重要的是我们选择去做，选择去关心别人。特丽莎修女也说过，就算我们帮了别人，别人会觉得我们又不好的动机，还是继续行善。如果我们成功了，别人会妒忌，我们还是选择成功吧。谢谢仁波切将我们的视野弄得更广了。

   Wow… It was so blessing and touching, that Rinpoche with much care and love to cook for the staff. Rinpoche is always so compassionate and kindness, that always will take good care all the staff.

    A picture speaks a thousand words. Just by looking at these 4 pictures, we can see that Rinpoche did the cooking and serving to not only one of his students but at least NINE of them! Despite the lack of sleep, Rinpoche still tirelessly cooked for his hardworking employees with no sign of tiredness at all! I feel very blessed to have such a compassionate Guru. Thank you Rinpoche!

    This lama is in his famous long black kurta (middle east male dress), he might appear in some corner during the most unexpected time, doing most unexpected actions.

    Sometime he’s can be a mover, sometime he’s a contractor, sometime he’s a painter, sometime he’s a sales man, sometime he’s a promoter, and now he’s a cook and waiter. He have so many identities or portfolio not because of he’s after money or wanting to build up his own family. This man does all these because he want to make sure everyone around him is well take care of physically and emotionally.

    This man can be anything, he can scarified him own time for others, he can rest less for others, he can skip his meal for others, he can become sick for others, isn’t he off to do all these??!!

    No, all that above are qualities of an enlighten mind, a mind that selfless as long as it brings happiness to others, this is why we call him a living Buddha, H.E. Tsem Tulku Rinpoche.

      Dear Bryan,

      I love what you wrote here. Rinpoche does indeed have many “roles” and “identity” to suit whatever is needed to be of most benefit to others. Rinpoche has no ego, as Rinpoche comes from the mind only wanting to benefit others and not himself. Therefore, with that mind, there is no space for illusions or deluded feeelings to arise as all is motivated by pure love, care, kindness and extreme compassion.

      Even in meetings, Rinpoche will make sure others are fed and okay before himself. Rinpoche will give his food to others. Imagine, the teacher who’s on the throne has to control all his senses to bring the Dharma to others, irregardless of him having immense body aches, migraines, pain, gastric or discomfort..Rinpoche does not tell anyone about the pains or discomforts because he bears it all, and aims only to help others.

      It is true, all these can only be qualities an enlightened and selfless mind possess…the best thing is.. we can all achieve it by practising the Dharma.

      PS. Rinpoche has also played make up artist before!

        Rinpoche is indeed the most multitalented and versatile person I know. But no matter which ‘role’ he assumes, it is always with care and compassion, and this has been a consistent trait of Rinpoche’s ever since he was a young boy. It is said that people can pretend to be nice for only part of the time, they can’t fake it all of the time, and one thing that’s for certain is that Rinpoche’s genuine kindness has been continuously observed by his many students throughout decades. We are very fortunate to have this living Buddha in our midst as the perfect role model.

    This is how Dharma in action looks like…

    I have known Rinpoche for so long and Rinpoche has no qualms in cooking, serving and feeding others. He has been doing this since the day I first met Rinpoche back in 2002. Yes indeed Rinpoche remembers and appreciates everyone always, and those hard working Nepalese brothers are not just serving one person (Rinpoche), cos in serving Rinpoche they helped Rinpoche’s work grow more to serve others = the world I dare say!

    We are so very fortunate to be here in KFR working so close to Rinpoche… for once there is true purpose in life!

    Dear Rinpoche, everyone looked so happy on the pictures above. I have never seen Rinpoche cook before, everyone that is currently working in KFR is so fortunate because they have the chance to work and Rinpoche every day and Rinpoche would willing to sacrifice his time to teach and cook for them. HOW LUCKY!

    I feel very touched while looking at these pictures, Rinpoche has always been very compassionate and caring towards all of us, no matter who we are and where we are. I believe that, there must be a lot of people who have received gifts from Rinpoche. We are very very lucky to have such a wonderful Guru staying here with us!

    No matter who you are or what you do in Kechara, Rinpoche cares a lot! To a point He even cook for them. Even though Rinpoche have not slept the whole night, Rinpoche does not mind. He loves to surprise people with His love, care and kindness. The people working in the Ladrang work very hard each day to make sure everything is taken care of. Everyone look so happy and enjoying the food. Am glad that everyone enjoyed the meal with such a good ‘host’.

    The lama who serve others tirelessly, not just by words, but by his action..

    There are many people out there who always mentioned about benefiting many, but their action are the other way round, some people who doesn’t elaborate much, but they acted in line with what they mentioned before. Action is the loudest word.

    Rinpoche always care for everyone effortlessly, and tirelessly. He never focus on what the time now, whether it’s he gonna sleep, whether is he having enough time for himself, etc, etc. Once he gonna do something, he will do it until the end before he stop.

    Rinpoche’s compassion is one incomparable.

    Rinpoche is a brilliant cook. It stems from care and a deep desire to ensure everyone is taken care of regardless of stature, creed or race. Everyone is equal in Rinpoche’s eyes.

    Rinpoche’s culinary skills were honed when he lived with and served his Gurus, HH Zong Rinpoche in LA and HE Kensur Jampa Yeshe Rinpoche in Gaden. Rinpoche would often tell fond stories of the types of food his Gurus liked and how Rinpoche would ensure it is prepared precisely.

    Some months back Rinpoche even taught us how to cook “Gaden potatoes”, a dish Rinpoche coined as it was what the monks cooked in the monastery. It is simple, delicious and fills you up!

    Always hang around with precious spiritual Lama is rare and it’s hard to have this opportunity but only once. Spending time with a caring and loving teacher making our life meaningful. Even having breakfast with our Lama can be the cause of enlightenment and be the source of real happiness. That’s why people who worked for Dharma are beneficial that any other jobs in this Samsaric fun world. How bliss it was that our Lama taking care of all his sincere and hardworking disciples.

    What heartwarming pictures. Very fortunate and blessed to have our dear Lama cooking and feeding us monsters. Rinpoche is always so compassionate and kind and it is ever so consistent.
    Rinpoche definitely walks the ‘talk’. What a great way to show our appreciation. =)

    Rinpoche has always treated everyone equally, whether you’re there to work as the HOD or you’re in the household to sweep and clean the floor, Rinpoche loves us all.

    There are many times that Rinpoche would pack back food for those staying back in the house whenever Rinpoche goes out with other students.

    This is not the first time Rinpoche cooks, but only one of the few… I remember the last time Rinpoche decided to treat the staff with home cooked food was when Rinpoche saw the staff in e-div working very hard until pass 2 am… lucky SP recorded it and posted it on YT hehe… here’s a very touching video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYZFWp-kxSM

    Wow they are so lucky to receive such wonderful blessings from Rinpoche, being able to eat Rinpoche’s cooking is really lucky. Rinpoche never forgets the kindness that someone shows him and never forgets to appreciate what they have done. Rinpoche is very compassionate although there are many people to serve him for the dharma Rinpoche is very humble and never gets tired to help others. May they all accumulate the merits and blessings received from Rinpoche cooking. I hope Rinpoche is well.

    Seeing this picture is a very humbling experience. The Nepalese boys do a lot of work for the ladrang and although it looks like they are serving Rinpoche but they are really helping Rinpoche serve others better. Although Rinpoche is served by these boys and others, he never forgets to appreciate them. That’s why Rinpoche cooks for the boys and serve them. Rinpoche has no ego about serving others. This is a teaching in appreciation of others.
