Psychic Kids

Dear Everyone,

Since I was very young I’ve had a huge interest in the paranormal, Tibet, magic, mysteries, bigfoot, lochness, Findhorn, UfOs, Nazca lines, spirits, Salem, Easter Island, dowsing, Greek Gods, Hindu Gods, Yogis, Himalayas, Shambala, Auras, divinations, Delphic Oracle, Tibetan Oracles, Nature Spirits, Pan, Shamans and similar. I use to love that show called ‘IN SEARCH OF’ hosted by Leonard Nimoy. It is on YouTube and I have the whole video collection. Pastor Loh Seng Piow ordered for me. I watch it from time to time. I love ‘Chariot of the Gods’ by Erich Von Daniken and have watched it 20 times maybe. Also read the book many years ago. I can really relate to these subjects. Even now I am very interested and find these subjects very fascinating. I always watch shows related to the above. Especially documentaries.

Yes, I do believe 100% in UFOs, lochness, bigfoot, Shambala, Nature Spirits all the way. There are so many realms and planes of existence that Lord Buddha has described and mentioned many times. I trust Lord Buddha. Buddha talked about other existences over 2,600 years ago before cultural prejudices said it can or cannot exist.

The other day I watched Psychic Kids. It was very interesting. So i thought I’d share with you. Do enjoy please. These young kids have powerful clairvoyance and are taught to be not afraid. These types of powers definitely exist. They are described in the scriptures. It is nice to see that mainstream accept these type of mind powers also.

Last few days, I’ve been researching and watching some documentaries about kids with special abilities. I do believe them 💯. I read about Indigo kids, auras and kids that can remember their past lives.

Thank you Rinpoche for blogging this. Thank you for inspiring us to search and read about them more.

I like paranormal related stories as well. They are scary but yet make people want to listen for more because of how mysterious the phenomena is. We are scared because we cannot see them.

After learning about Buddhism, I have less fear in the unseen, especially after learning how to recite Dorje Shugden mantra and how to get his protection on a daily basis. However, that does not mean we are safe to start connecting with the unseen.

From time to time we will hear stories about children saying they see things or they are talking or playing with someone that obviously is not visible. We will always ask them to stop talking about it and brush them off. It is said that because children are purer, they are able to see things that we cannot see. Some of them are born with the third eye so they have the ability to see the unseen. We should teach them how to recite mantras and avoid establishing a close connection with them because we do not know if these beings are harmful. Or we can bring the child to a Buddhist master to get some blessings to protect them from harmful entity.

The first thought that came to me after watching video is ~ 1. On how we can deal with spirits in “humane”ways and
    2. On how to cope with our own emotions well if we do have these special abilities,
which I believe if we practice Buddhism well, we should and have to deal with these situations someday.

This video is purely educational coupled with a good learning experience that is totally not religious at all (although Buddhism offers much greater methods to cope with it) and hence it can be shared with many many other people who might not accept or want to deal it in Buddhism way. Actually, to be honest, before I stumbled across Rinpoche’s teachings, I won’t watch these videos. ? Nowadays, in fact.. I will force myself to watch it( daytime of course ?). Why? Because I remembered Pastor David mentioned on how Rinpoche trained them to watch these shows. I believe it is to prepare them to cope with these situations in future. Hence, I try to “copy” this type of training but it’s much more scarier to do it alone. Nevertheless, I failed miserably everytime but I dare say it did help in way to cope with one’s fear!

Actually, with correct motivation and training, we can help these spirits in return. I guess, this is how the Lamas can benefits those spirits and etc … such as the Gods, Nagas or those in other realms/dimensions.

    Thank you Rinpoche

Spirits does exist whether we believe it or not, and many people can clearly see them or even communicate with them, but due to the closed minded society, their ability to see spirit has been made them as a alien, people around will look at them differently and some times even abuse them.

We don’t see it or hear it doesn’t mean they don’t exist, they do, its just that we don’t have the ability to see them, same as celestial beings, they exist but we cant see them.

Buddha has said realm has existence, although some of human can’t see or contact spirit directly but they are around human realm all the time.Having psychic power like the video has shown. It ready scary if they are not aware of it. Sometime human felt scar of thing they never seen or aware before. If people willing accept the truth spirit existing. Maybe people not as frightening and having phobia spirit around us. this is my personal opinion.

  8. Pastor Antoinette on Feb 8, 2017 at 8:09 am

The video above is very scary. To imagine that the kids don’t have support from most of the people but even are made fun of.

It must be very scary to live with the spirits, seeing them, hearing them and as it seems all the time.
There must be a strong connection to ghosts from previous lives. We need to be aware of such things and not connect to them.

It is best to pray to the Buddhas as they will never harm us.

  9. Mingwen on Feb 8, 2017 at 7:53 am

Believe it or not, there are things happening around the world without our acknowledge. It’s fake if there are no scientific proofs to support the matter? How much can scientists do and have done? Fully discovered the undersea creatures? Fully discovered the mystery deep forests around the world? There are so many matters that are present, solid and yet human beings have yet to discover, then why keep narrowing our minds?

It would be more beneficial if we are open to all information but always be curious and look for the truth.

  10. June Kang on Feb 8, 2017 at 12:34 am

Not everyone believe the paranormal, therefore physic kids may feel frustrated and feeling of isolation because no one understand what they are going through. Some Parents even think their children is sick or have mental problem, this is pretty sick.

Does all this exists? Lord Buddha has taught us that there are many realms and planes of existence and Buddha cannot be wrong. And if this happen to your child, you should be patient listen to what they said and may request Protector Dorje Shugden to help to protect your child

  11. Eric kksiow on Feb 8, 2017 at 12:16 am

That’s right, each and every human being has access to psychic abilities and spiritual gifts… These are also things that can be developed.

With children today though, things are a bit different and the new kids are coming into the physical with new operating systems compared to previous generations.

It’s not that the new kids are any better or worse than anyone else, they just have a new kind of intelligence, and they have new ways to understanding and processing their lives. For many, this new way of processing is perceived by others as psychic ability.

Ultimately, how each child receives psychic information is unique… Each will have certain strengths, and ways in which their abilities work…

The most common psychic senses are clairvoyance, or psychic seeing, claircognizance or psychic knowing, clairsentience or psychic feeling, and clairaudience, which is the ability to psychically hear beyond the physical.

  12. Pastor Henry Ooi on Feb 8, 2017 at 12:00 am

This educational documentary would help other people who have the psychic ability to understand more of what they are going through, and that they are not seeing things and not crazy. Many such people may have been scoffed at when they tell of their encounter with spiritual energies. For Hannah to believe that Jordan was her past life’s father means that the researchers, producers and people involved in this documentary believe in past lives.

  13. Andrea Lai on Feb 7, 2017 at 11:44 pm

This is an interesting video.I like the way Chip Coffey and Edy Nathan’s ideas of helping these kids with “specialties” power.

There are once I have 2 friends with an abilities to see ghost. One of them are born with this ability. She would tell me that she see funny figure here and there and sometimes she will spontaneously stops and could see her face turn pale. Most of the time, she acted normal but for those closed to her will noticed.People with this ability tent to be pessimist from society due to their vulnerable.Care, concern and understanding should take place to nurture their comfort and confident.

Where else my other friend, is typical. She created it herself.Due to lack of knowledge of the horror of seeing ghost, she took challenged from her other friends by dropping tears of black dog(folktales).Indeed she sees it.She told me she regretted doing so because it ruin her life tremendously. To solute her problem, she went to mediums for help and the medium required her to have baptism under Kuan Yin(Avalokiteshvara) and brow tattoo!Since then she never see any of those spirit, her life back to normal and it’s also her great lesson, the cause and effect of her karma.

  14. pammie yap on Feb 7, 2017 at 11:31 pm

When I watched the video, it made me think, its not a gift. The karma they have to go through is really not good. For the children to go through those experiences, it’s scary. And the part where they have to go through it alone, is scarier. They are ‘lucky’ to have someone ‘guide’ them and try to learn rather than being scared all the time.
My mum told me, when I was younger, I could see things and I would always scare her. Like telling her someone is at the ceiling staring at me, someone is standing behind her, etc. freaked her out so much coz it was always just both of us at home. Even my aunts were terrified when I tell them the same things.
I don’t recall any of those sightings. Perhaps I was just plain mischievous and naughty. Hehe…

  15. nicholas on Feb 7, 2017 at 11:24 pm

People that having the ability to see dead people often live in terror and what happen here are the kids that having this ability which even more horrified for them. I can’t imagine if I have those ability but what the kids gone through here is to help them to face their fear with their ability is so helpful. It gave the kids a new start in life with their ability.

Spiritually I believe this is a karma that why these kids having such ability and instead of feeling terror it has change to a positive way to control in a good way. This also make me think that karma happen for a reason but we can always choose to change it for our future as long as we want to work it out with a right motivation and right way.

What is this video also mentioned is about previous live where one of the girl mentioned about Jordon which is her previous live dad. This is a great finding from a kids with such ability to be able to sense it which I believe she has not learn it from anywhere but truly from her clairvoyance. Nothing religious or spirituality in this video but the sense about previous lives.

  16. Datuk May on Feb 7, 2017 at 11:19 pm

I believe that kids have purer minds and as such their ability to see the unseen is highly possible. There had been many stories of such psychic kids have suffered so much due to disbelief in what they are experiencing and they end up being called insane or possessed by spirits.

Understanding and knowing that such phenomena exists, it is good that these kids are given support to be beneficial to the spirits or helped to understand or even spiritually help them out of their so called gifts if they are unable to handle them.

  17. Pastor Moh Mei on May 10, 2016 at 1:55 pm

There is the general assumption and acceptance that children are innocent and do not lie. We tend to be more skeptical of adults who share of the experiences. I do think that we get a mixture of true stories and fake ones as well. I don’t think the fake ones nullify the truth of the genuine stories either. One bad practitioner cannot nullify the entire religion, just as one criminal cannot represent an entire nation.

Personally I do believe children has greater capacity to “see” and experience the other realm. Perhaps it is due the so called “innocence” of children. A mind that has yet been as corrupted by this life.

I remembered another story I watched on TV documentary a long while ago about how two children created one of the world most elaborate hoax on fairies. In the story of the Cottingley Faries, the girls manage to fool even writer Sir Arthur Conan Doyle himself or is the confession a lie and the fairies genuine?

I’ve never seen that show ‘Psychic Kids’. I am aware of such natural powers. One theory about the confusion about reincarnation involves not being able to distinguish it from young children being psychically so open they just tune in and pick up real information in other locations. I guess maybe you know way more about stuff like that than I do. Anyway, nice to be able to communicate with you. I read some of the other peoples’ comments.

  19. Edward ooi on Jan 20, 2014 at 6:17 pm

Dear Rinpoche, I think it is quite cool and scary at the same if I have this kind of power. I know I would be scared if I just started seeing spirits everywhere but I want to communicate with humble spirit. Because I have heard of many stories, I think I’ve got some images of them in my mind whenever someone talks about spirits. I think everyone would prefer to communicate with the human looking spirits than the scary looking once. But I prefer that they only approach to me in a normal way instead of flying towards me. Thank You Rinpoche for sharing

  20. Edward ooi on Jul 1, 2013 at 5:57 pm

Dear Rinpoche, I’m really happy that the 3girls learned to control their emotions. The braver ones are Savannah and Hannah. I would say that the luckiest girl in three of them is Hannah because she has a spirit guard named Jordan, so when she wants to ask know some information then Jordan will help her. I think it will be great if the three girls work together to face the spirits.

  21. Andrew Boon on Mar 9, 2013 at 9:14 pm

I often wonder where these so called “gifts” or “powers” come from? Supposing we innately do possess these abilities but it is a question of how we cultivate or harness it.

After all, if we have the Buddha nature, what are such insignificant abilities in comparison!

These physic abilities reaffirms the existence of something beyond or limited human comprehension or ignorance. It shows us how little of our mind and capacity as an existence we have!

Why do we waste it on superficiality and a mundane existence when we can shine bright through the cultivation of our incredible mind!

  22. Wei Theng on Jun 20, 2012 at 6:20 pm

This is a very interesting video. It shows the real story of psychic kids and how they accepted the existence of the ghost and able to faced it positively. This is a great lesson for me too.
From here, I learned that we should not be afraid of them as most of them are not harming us. We should make peace with them and be compassion with them.
Lastly, I better improve on my practice now so that i would not go into the ghost realm.

Hi tsem, I don’t know if your aware of the Academy for Future Science but there is a rich and note worthy source of information available on their web site KeysofEnoch.org. which covers pretty much everything, UFO’s, the different levels of intellegence in the multiverse, the Eastern and Western Ascended Masters and there purpose, the new children etc. There are very advanced commentaries of the western scriptures and 64 areas of future Science which were given to James Hurtak who was taken off the planet physically, I mean he went missing for three days and was given this information by very advanced Masters – Enoch and Metatron in the higher heavens directly. Love your talks and teaching style.
    Love Mark

Dear Rinpoche, this is a very nice sharing of you..i do believes 100% in UFOs, lochness, bigfoot, Shambala, Nature Spirits all the way as i was always told by my late mother when she was still alive,i was always having a good time hearing stories frm her but it is because i never seen in my own eyes so i thought it never really exist until i experience it.
I always think it will be cool if we have a Psychic school for the psychic kids, so they can learn from each other and they don’t feel they are weird and different, so that they can grow up in a healthier way.
This video is great, it was a great retreat for the kids to encounter their fear and put it in their daily practice.

During astral go, it is possible to arrive at never-before-seen places or astral air carriers, and even to satisfy friends, family members, and relatives that have long been dead. while in astral projection, people are capable of doing things that are normally unachievable in the physical earth, such as walking by way of doors and walls. it is said that even those with disabilities will have a normal, complete body on that astral plane.

My favorite TV show as a child was “In Search Of” too!

  27. Peter on Jul 7, 2010 at 7:02 pm

    Terima Kasih Rinpoche!
I find it saddening when some of these such gifted children do not have supportive parents. They do not necessarily have to accept or believe what their child is going through but neither do they have a right like some who run down their children emotionally and even physically and harm their child’s psyche in order to satisfy their own fear or lack of action to seek more understanding.
It’s sad that when one’s own parent who is supposed to be the source of love and support becomes otherwise.
I know of some people whose homes are not allowed to discuss such subjects and most of the time this culture of fear is linked to wilful ignorance and even not surprisingly are found in some homes where a religion is adopted but where they live by a coded ‘rationality’. When those boundaries are challenged, often the results are unpleasant.

  28. May Ong on Jul 7, 2010 at 1:37 pm

Most children do not know normally how to lie especially below the age of 5. Their minds are as pure as it comes before they start going to school, mixing with other kids as they learn about the big wide world outside and its problems. These children shared openly what they dreamt. They may not know what their dreams are about but these dreams keep on repeating itself, it is only logical that something else is going on here. We cannot ignore that fact.
In ancient times, people interpret dreams as tell tale signs of some kind of warning or something good. Sometimes we get the feeling that we have been at a certain place before. Like we have met with this person and they seemed to be very familiar and we feel so comfortable with. Strange to feel it but it does happen so do we ignore these signs?

  29. Carmen Koo on Jul 7, 2010 at 1:25 pm

The subject pertaining to paranormal activities and one’s supernatural powers in being able to perceive or do things way beyond one’s natural ability has always been an interest to me. I admit, when I was younger, I have always been skeptical to matters relating to one’s power in communicating with spirits or other realms. Mum would go to the medium and relate stories back to me and I have been doubtful as to whether its all in the mind or whether such abilities/powers do exist in one. However, I have always been afraid of ghosts and spirits so I guess that I do believe in their existence but may have just been in denial as I have not yet encountered such incidences. I have heard many stories on other people being able to sense a spirit’s presence and their encounters with these spirits. Being afraid, I try to always avoid the topic and almost never watch horror films.
I met a boy late last year who had the ability to travel to other realms and communicate with deities during meditation. He explained to me on the existence of spirits and I have since opened up a little in accepting that their presence is unavoidable. Watching this video that Rinpoche posted and talking to people who has had first-hand experience has definitely made it more certain to me that some people do indeed possess supernatural powers and my fear has subsided a little (considering the fact that I would never have voluntarily watched documentaries relating to this). However, once in a while, I can’t help but ponder whether documentaries like these have been scripted. Though I know deep down that I am more inclined to believing that such powers unexplainable by science do exist, it is generally hard to believe in something that has been related by other people.

  30. Likheng on Jul 6, 2010 at 1:56 am

Confession: I am a real scary cat when it comes to these paranormal phenomena. However, from the video teachings of Tsem Rinpoche, I learnt to accept that spirits exist. More importantly, I learn from Rinpoche to not fear them but treat them with compassion.
Off course this is easier said than done. Once, while I was praying alone, I remembered a recent teaching where Rinpoche talked about spirits’ inclination to “visit” places of Dharma worship because they too seek liberation from the hungry ghost realm through Dharma. That recollection brought immediate panic and fear (very silly, I know)…I started imagining spirits standing behind me etc. The only help I could offer myself was to bring to mind Rinpoche’s advise that we should be kind to the spirits and dedicate the merits to them so that they can leave the ghost realm sooner. Although I managed to prevent an unnecessary freak out, I did not feel completely at ease. Since then, I work on being more at ease with the knowledge that spirits exist in our world. So far, I made slight progress as I have not had a fear as intense and I thank the Dharma for it.

I am happy to share that I was also a paranormal and ‘sci-fi’enthusiast.
My favourite programs were Twilight Zone,One step Beyond ( which was really creepy and scary),Star Trek( with all its diverse aliens), X-files ,and all stories and books related to unsolved mysteries.
I was especially fascinated with the author Lobsang Rampa who produced a series of books ( The Third Eye,Saffron Robe etc ) which introduced subjects like astral travelling, clairvoyance and revealing secrets of ancient Tibet.During the 70’s,Tibetan culture and beliefs were shrouded in mystery.
I have so far not encountered any ghosts or spirits except once in an office building of my former employer.
It was a 3 storey building that was in the market for quite a while. We rented the whole block as it was going below market price.
Shortly after moving in ,the accounting dept head which occupied the 3rd floor reported that his staff felt uneasy up there and can’t wait to leave early after work.I dismissed it as superstition.
When some of them resigned, I decided to check myself. When I reached the office door I suddenly felt the temperature drop and my hair stood on end.It wasn’t something I had ever experienced before .Once inside,I noticed a small shrine set up by the staff. What followed was most errie – the small red light on the shrine start to flicker and there was a gust of wind blowing around although all the windows and doors were closed. My accountant told me this wasn’t the first time!
I decided there and then to relocate as I felt the unmistaken negative energy there. As far as I know, no other people rented it after us. It was later demolished to make way for a bigger building.
My contribution to the unexplained !

    Dear Venerable Rinpoche ,
Wishing you a good day. An interesting story on The Star today. For your reading.
    Sunday June 27, 2010
Close encounter with spirits and a headless woman
THE older the structure, the more likely it is to be haunted. Given the chequered history of Pudu Prison – which dates back to 1895 – you can be sure it has more than its fair share of ghostly tales.
Abu Bakar Juah says it was common to hear things at night – footsteps where no one was supposed to be, chains rattling, and even hearing someone or something taking a bath when everyone is locked in.
“We normally shout out loud that we are merely trying to make a living and tell whatever that’s out there to leave us alone,” he says.
Haji Aziz Haji Idris tells of an encounter while on duty at one of the guard towers when he was still a young officer.
“It was shortly after midnight and I was on night duty with another person when I saw an officer approaching. As we had been trained, I banged my rifle on the floor and shouted out ‘Everything all right, sir!”
Aziz says the figure said nothing but raised his hand, and then suddenly disappeared.
He also remembers one particular bunk in the warder’s dormitory which everyone tried to avoid.
“Anyone who slept there would be sure to feel an unseen force pressing down on his chest. They may try to shout or move but will be helpless to do anything,” he says, adding that some would rather sleep on the floor than use the bunk.
Abu Bakar also recalls a weird phenomenon – a ball of fire the size of a football that suddenly appeared and rolled out of sight.
“It happened every once in a while, and in cycles. Everyone would be talking about it for a while,” he says.
But the scariest tale is that of a recurring apparition of a woman. Aziz believes it was the ghost of a woman who was hanged there.
“She had tried to kill herself previously by slitting her throat. She survived but before she was fully recovered, the execution order came,” he says.
“She was brought to the execution chamber and hanged – but because of the injury, her head was literally torn off. It was a gruesome death and that is the ghost that many people have seen.”
He recalls an encounter with this apparition.
“I was on duty at Block D, where death row is located, and directly above the execution chamber is a huge anchor stone.
“Out of the corner of my eye I saw a figure sitting on this stone. Malays believe ghosts’ feet do not touch the ground, and when I bent over to look, the figure disappeared,” he says.
But a fellow officer’s encounter was even more shocking.
“Once, a police officer was interviewing prisoners and it was getting late. However, he said that he could interview one more, and I went down to bring another one.
“As he was filling in some forms he saw a figure sitting down. Thinking it was another prisoner he looked up, only to see a headless woman with blood flowing down her chest. The officer ran down the stairs as fast as he could,” he says.
Aziz believes Pudu Prison is a very “dirty” place and in some places is a giant graveyard.
“During World War II, the British buried Japanese soldiers there, and when the Japanese took over, they buried the British there.
“The ghosts here are real,” says Aziz.
    Yours Sincerely ,
    Liew Chee Khoi.

Just wondering if i can ask a question here…
How can we deal with psychic attacks, like if some people try to steal your energy or positive vibes…. it seems that it also harms our dharma practice when these people steal our energies cos reciting mantras collects energy and these energy is being siphoned off, so we can’t gain attainments because of these thefts…

    Dear Rinpoche,
Thank you for freaking us out further with this video. This is really good and I really like it.I thought I will be freaked out by now but surprisingly I didn’t.It has help me a little to overcome my own fear of ghost n spirits too with the helpful explaination of how much more they actually suffer.Another lesson learned is confronting head-on n overcoming whatever fears we have and not denying it just like those girls did before they got help and you never know it may be turned around into something positive after being in control.Thank you again for sharing.

    My Dear Patricia,
Your questions require complex answers, but I will be brief and sincerely hope it helps you.
    1. Generally there are many types of hungry ghosts or just ghosts. They travel at the speed of thought and also can live hundreds of years almost like some sort of mini titan. So it is possible for people of many generations to see the same being after many generations. Even seven or eight generations and so on.
    2. The amount of beings existing in the realm of spirits/ghost far far far exceeds that of humans. Their population is huge.
    3. Spirits have various personalities just like animals and humans. You can generalize them. Like people from the North will be generally taller than of the South. That is very general with many exceptions of course.
You have the bitter, nasty, harmless, weak, powerful, quiet, noisy, dysfunctional, sneaky, kind, helpful ghosts and with many more personalities. Because ghosts have the ability to travel superfast they have a sort of clairvoyance. They can reak havoc with their clairvoyance because it is limited and hence can give advice that turns out wrong in the long run. But seemingly the advice is ok in the short run with or without knowing it from their side.
The ghosts can change shapes and forms to appear to you in the form you find comfortable to communicate with you or to frighten you. They wish to communicate for many reasons such as lonliness, anger, expressing their sorrows, or some wish to assist in their own way for something in return.
Some spirits can even appear to the untrained as Tara!!! Zong Rinpoche told us, some appear as Tara to people!!! So we have to be extremely careful when dealing with them. Better not to deal with them but be aware of their presence.
    4. To elicit favours from them like asking for lottery number, eliminating an enemy, or getting information from them could be dangerous in the long run depending on their characters. Should be avoided. Being careful to not simply do binding rituals or order them here or there. They can get you back in a way you least suspect. Better to leave them alone.
    5. Basically if they are in this form, it does not arise from positive karma. So the results cannot be generally positive.
    6. If they are in the ghost realm, something definitely went wrong. To take rebirth in that realm generally requires one’s mind to have extreme great attachment to a place, person, thing, idea or the such. That attachment is what binds them to their situation until karma is ‘finished’. When they go into the light, it could be another realm, or rebirth. It is not going into a ‘heaven’ as we know it.
    7. If there are psychics or people who can perceive these beings it is important to do protection and blessing prayers daily if we have to contact or see them. If seeing them is beyond our control, then daily protection would be good. It would bless the person seeing them and bless the ghosts also. Ghosts are moved by altruism or great compassion emanating from a being. Some Practices good to do daily are any of the below:
    a. Tsongkapa
    b. Singdongma
    c. Protectors such as Setrap, Four Faced Mahakala, Pelden Hlamo
    d. Ekazati
    e. Vajrapani
    f. Black Manjushri
These practices would bless the person, bless the environment and bless the spirits contacted/seen.
I hope the above helps you.
For further questions re the practices you may contact Bengkooi.
    I wish you well,
    Tsem Tulku

    Tashi delek dear Tsem Tulku!
Thank you very much for posting this!
I have a question to you: As it is said that the bardo takes in general around 49 days and after that comes the new rebirth. What is it than that is left of the person who have died? I mean for instance: a psychic women`s husband died 5 years ago, but still she can have contact to him; he is still around her.
I`ve heard once even some people perceive a ghost, let´s say their own relative who have died, it is actually not anymore their relative but just “la-energy” of the dead person which remained and in truth the relative actually already got a new rebirth. This la energy can stay for 7 generation. This is even more scary to me, because it is just energy, actually not the dead person`s mind anymore, but who can still communicate and help the living people. Sorry but I do not really understand that, how this can be possible. Can you please tell us something about this?
Or did I got a wrong information and it is more like this: that a person who died but can be perceived by humans as a ghost, actually had a rebirth in the realm of spirits?Or did there something go wrong, like their rebirth did not happen because they are trapped within the bardo /cannot go into “the light” because of a trauma or whatever?
How many types of spirits are existing according buddhism, do they all belong to the class of hungry ghosts?
    Best wishes
    Patricia

Buddhism is one of the most ancient belief systems and is practiced today by nearly 350 million people around the world.
Bettany Mary Hughes is an English historian, author, and broadcaster, specialising in classical history. Bettany Hughes travelled to the seven wonders of the Buddhist world. Where she documented a unique insight into the seven wonders that explained the long and rich history of Buddhism 2500 years ago . Truly fascinating documentary that’s one should watch. Started off her journey with Bodh Gaya in India, the Bodanath Stupa in Nepal, the Temple of The Tooth in Sri Lanka, Wat Pho Temple in Thailand, Angkor Wat in Cambodia, the Giant Buddha in Hong Kong and the Hsi Lai Temple in the United States. At each location, she meets with Buddhist scholars who explain the different concepts that form the core of Buddhist philosophy, giving insight into the long and rich history of Buddhism. Interesting sharing.
    Thank you Rinpoche.

Religious discrimination remains a significant issue globally, impacting various aspects of life. The Dorje Shugden controversy in Tibetan Buddhism involves accusations of religious discrimination against devotees of the Poweful Dharma Protector Dorje Shugden. Dorje Shugden was a powerful Protector associated with the Gelug school of Tibetan Buddhism. H H the Dalai Lama previously practice Dorje Shugden’s practice but somehow later discouraged the practice, citing concerns about sectarianism ,its perceived role as a spirit. Dorje Shugden’s practitioners have reported feeling ostracized and discriminated against by the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) and those supporting the Dalai Lama. The controversy has divided the Tibetan community and has been a source of contention and tension. CTA had breached the rights of every Dorje Shugden practitioners to what they pray . Many families are torn apart by this. Dorje Shugden people had to break away from their monasteries .Religious freedom and human rights are interconnected. Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion regardless of race and faith. Religious freedom is one of the most fundamental of human rights. The discrimination that Dorje Shugden practitioners are experiencing today has similarities to other historic bigotry and prejudices such example was the African American Civil Rights Movement in the 1960s,and the Women’s Suffrage Movement. Racism affects virtually every country in the world. It denies people their full human rights just because of their colour, race, ethnicity, descent or national origin. The most prevalent discrimination that we see today are national origin and race discrimination. May there be peace, unity, harmony and based on compassion, acceptance and universal freedom of religious choice without discrimination or recriminations of any kind.
Thank you Rinpoche for this sharing.

The Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Kerala, India is said to be thousands of years old, built in the Dravidian style, and houses more secrets than most people can ever dream of. That’s interesting. This temple is a legendary secret chamber that has remained unopened for centuries. Legends and local beliefs it is protected by powerful deities and a curse. The door is said to be sealed with a mystical spell, and it is believed that anyone attempting to open it without proper rituals will face grave consequences, having met with mysterious deaths or terrible misfortune. Locals had warns that attempting to open Vault B without proper rituals and respect for the deities could unleash untold calamities and misfortune. Stories abound of previous attempts to open the vault had failed that resulted in terrifying visions and other supernatural occurrences, and tragic fates for those involved. Some believe that the vault contained ancient treasures , wealth and divine relics . Previously temple workers reportedly tried to force open the door, resulting in the terrifying experiences described in legends. It’s not just a place of worship but also a vault of mysteries. Modern attempts using technology have also failed to open the door, as if some force is protecting it. Every attempt to open Vault B has failed. The door remains closed, and no one know of the contents within, whether wealth, divine relics, or something else entirely, are unknown to the world . No one dare to try opening it since at least the 1880s recording to reports. Interesting article .

Revisit this interesting truth where not many people knew the actual story behind . With great effort and research finally the story unfolded. In Tibet, Oracles play, an important part in principal roles assisting governmental decision-making and providing intelligence revelation, religion, doctrine, and prophecy. To this day the Tibetan government still believe and rely in Nechung Oracle. When Nechung oracle took trance, it is actually spirit Nyatrul who has causes problems and misprophecies. Nechung is bound by oath to protect the Dharma. Nechung prophecies are unreliable, most probably given by Nyatrul spirit to the Tibetan government. Such as wrong medication given to the 13 th Dalai Lama as prescribed by the Nechung Oracle. Another misprophecies was during the British invasion. If it was really Nechung who took trance of the Oracle, these types of misprophecies would not have happen. As mentioned in the 6th Dalai Lama biography, we cannot trust or rely on Nechung’s prophecies. It was said that Nyatrul not Nechung who created the problems and harm to Dorje Shugden . It must have told HH the Dalai Lama to ban Dorje Shugden .
Thank you Rinpoche and Pastor Jean Ai for this interesting article.

In Tibetan Buddhism, water offerings, particularly the seven or eight bowls offering, are a common practice used to express gratitude, cultivate merit, and purify the mind. The seven bowls represent essential aspects of offerings and can be offered daily, along with other items like flowers, incense, and lamps. Water offerings are probably the most common offering made in Tibetan Buddhism. Offering any item of value to the three jewels is the antidote to greed and attachment and helps to cultivate generosity. It is a powerful practice that can help us develop positive qualities such as generosity, devotion, and selflessness. By making water offering, we are creating good karma for ourselves and all sentient beings in the future. Great explanations and teachings all about water offerings.

H.H. Kyabje Pabongka Rinpoche (1878–1941), also known as Dechen Nyingpo Jampa Tenzin Trinlay Gyatso, was one of the great lamas of the twentieth century. was a highly influential teacher in Tibet and a prominent lama in the 20th century. He was the root guru of the present Dalai Lama’s tutors and many other Tibetan lamas who brought the Dharma to the West. His teachings, particularly his book “Liberation in the Palm of Your Hand,” are significant in the Gelugpa tradition until this days.He was the root guru of the present Dalai Lama’s tutors, Kyabje Ling Rinpoche and Kyabje Trijang Rinpoche, and a teacher to many other Gelug lamas who fled Tibet. He had brought the Dharma to the West after 1959. His teachings covered various aspects of the Tibetan Buddhist path, including the seven-point mind training and the stages of the path to enlightenment. Rinpoche’s teachings are so famous that thousands of people would come from far and wide to attend. He was an extraordinary master for the Heruka Body Mandala and the Vajrayogini practice. Wow ……one of the many famous stories been told of how Heruka actually appeared to Pabongka when he visited Cimburi in Tibet and how Heruka image spoke to him. Interesting biography of a great master of all times.

The practice of Sangha in Buddhism involves building and cultivating a supportive community of practitioners who engage in shared spiritual practice, often focusing on mindfulness and concentration. This community provides mutual support, guidance, and encouragement on the path of self-discovery. The Sangha is not just a gathering of people; it’s a collective energy of mindfulness and compassion that benefits all members. It provides a supportive environment for individuals on their spiritual journey, offering guidance, encouragement, and a sense of belonging. Sharing experiences and insights within the Sangha can accelerate the learning process.

Wat Rong Khun better known as the White Temple, is a Buddhist temple in Chiang Rai province, Thailand. The gold symbolizes how people focus on worldly desires and money. The white building represents the idea to make merit and to focus on the mind. It is owned by a succesful Thai businessman who opened it to visitors in 1997. Awesome….This temple stands out through the white colour and use of pieces of glass that sparkle in the sun. The white colour signifies the purity of Buddha while the glass symbolizes Buddha’s wisdom. Located 3 hour drive from Chiang Mai built to honour and pay tribute to sacred Buddhist figures. Over time, temples grew in prominence and is one of the famous temples to visit in Thailand. I have visited years back its simple stunning temple which truly love the design and architecture .

Sak Yant, a traditional Thai tattooing practice, involves sacred geometrical and animal designs. Its often accompanied by Pali phrases, and is believed to offer power, protection, charisma, and other benefits to the wearer. Sak Yant tattoos are deeply rooted in Buddhist and spiritual beliefs, with each design and symbol carrying specific meanings and purported powers. Many designs are believed to provide protection against evil spirits, misfortune, and danger. Sak Yant tattoos are traditionally applied by monks or masters using a needle and ink, and the process is often accompanied by chants and blessings. I personally have not seen one yet . Sound interesting.

With her visit hopefully more people will get to know more of our Kechara . She had made a video with and Pastor David Lai all about Buddhist Arts. She openly admitted interested in Buddhist art . Buddhist art pieces have given her home a contemporary edge. Art was important to Buddhist religious life. It was not only part of ritual and worship but also served to transmit religious ideas, and artistic styles between cultures. Do agree with her statement ,…..if you want to change your life, change the way you think, because everything begins with you.”

n their theoretical model, rudeness has this impact on our ability to think because it engenders negative sadness, anger. Researchers have found that common negative behaviours can spread easily and have significant consequences. The best way to avoid rude people is to meet their acts of rudeness with kindness. Exposure to neurotoxins in society is not new. Children today are raised in an environment that is much different from those days. Nowadays they are exposed to behaviours, profane language, hostilities and stress from which we adults, raised a generation ago. Studies have shown that children exposed to serious psychological trauma during childhood are at risk of suffering increased psychiatric disorders. Interesting read.

Revisit this blog again . Reading comments in this blog Rich people have substantial assets and income, providing a sense of security and freedom from financial worries. Owning high-end cars, designer clothing and everything they want with their money. Rich people often have more time for leisure, hobbies, and travel, allowing them to pursue interests and experiences. They may live in large, luxurious homes and have or apartments, often in desirable locations and having personalized services. The fundamental difference in mindset between the rich and the poor is, the rich have understood a very simple principle money makes money. Rich people see money as an opportunity, while poor people see it as something to be earned. Poor people work hard for their money. It is the heart that makes a man rich. He is rich according to what he is, not according to what he has. Not he who has much is rich, but he who gives much. The primary difference between rich people and poor people is how they handle their wealth. My thought been rich in this world it is not what we take up, but what we give up, that makes us rich.

Found this old post …disturbing. Having a name especially a Bar linked to Buddha to be disrespectful towards Buddhism. After much controversy the owner had it removed. The Buddha Bar located in Sabah by a young owner which opened without much thought had many people complaining. Later was forced to have its controversial name changed to ‘Peacock Garden’ and had apologised for the controversial name. As a devout Buddhist, the name ‘Buddha Bar’ which serves alcohol, is disrespectful to the revered Buddha.

Siberia, considered the heartland of shamanism inhabited by many different ethnic groups, and many of its peoples observe shamanistic. Many of the indigenous communities reclaiming their traditional spiritual and healing practices . Interesting. Siberian shamanism is often called Tengerism, involves various rituals, including drumming, chanting, trance states, and offerings to nature spirits and ancestors. This religious practice has deep roots in Siberia and Central Asia in recent years with roots in the Turkic and Mongolic cultures. Many who have been live in a remote part of Russia, have preserved their shamanic traditions due to their isolation. Many customs of Tengrism are still been practiced where they emphasizes a deep respect for nature and its various spirits, including those of the earth, water, and mountains. They do believe in the continued existence of souls and the importance of honouring their ancestors.
Thank you Rinpoche sharing this ancient religion.

The Unknown

The Known and unknown are both feared,
Known is being comfortable and stagnant,
The unknown may be growth and opportunities,
One shall never know if one fears the unknown more than the known.
Who says the unknown would be worse than the known?
But then again, the unknown is sometimes worse than the known. In the end nothing is known unless we endeavour,
So go pursue all the way with the unknown,
because all unknown with familiarity becomes the known.

What the meat industry figured out is that you don't need healthy animals to make a profit.
Sick animals are more profitable... farms calculate how close to death they can keep animals without killing them. That's the business model. How quickly they can be made to grow, how tightly they can be packed, how much or how little can they eat, how sick they can get without dying... We live in a world in which it's conventional to treat an animal like a block of wood. ~ Jonathan Safran Foer
