New Bigfoot Cafe in Bentong!
Dear friends around the world,
I’m very happy to share the latest addition to the Bentong vegetarian dining scene – our very own Bigfoot Café. My long-time student and friend, Pastor Yek Yee has led a group of dedicated people to establish a Bigfoot themed café in Bentong town, less than five kilometres from Kechara Forest Retreat, to spread an alternative diet of loving kindness.
Vegetarianism is a diet of compassion, primarily because animal lives need not be sacrificed to provide us with sustenance and to please our tastebuds. In addition, we are kinder to ourselves by eating better and healthier.
The Bigfoot Café core team includes another of my long-time students, Mr Hee, who is a talented cook with years of experience in the vegetarian dining scene. There is also Ms Wang Jo who is very committed to this venture. Both Mr Hee and Ms Wang Jo do not see this as a job but as Dharma work and a way for them to contribute to Kechara in appreciation for all the help and kindness they have received.
I rejoice at the opening of Bigfoot Café in Bentong town and I wish the team the greatest success. I also hope that more of my students will pursue various beneficial ventures in and around Bentong town and that they too will go all the way for a cause they believe in.

WOW!!!
This café definitely catchy and unique in Bentong town! Providing delicious vegetarian food giving the folks a scratch of Bigfoot is vegetarian?…. hahahaha..something to think about but it’s a nice place to hang out and to catch up with friends and family with healthy food. Looking at the location which is in the center of the town, must be easy to find. People who come to these place can also learn about Bigfoot and check out what type of smart creature it is and even in Tibetan scripture had mentioned the existent of this big creature. So it’s not something new but just mystery as until today still no one able to locate them and learn much more about them.
Come and enjoy your day with Bigfoot Café here in Bentong town!
Congratulation having opened a New Bigfoot Cafe in Bentong. It’s a wonderful idea to interact and promoting Kechara Forest Retreat to many more people. Wow…..simply fabulous serving all multi varieties of vegetarian foods as well, such as Mung bean soup, Cold wood ear mushrooms, nasi lemak and many more. At times , my friends and myself do not know where to go for vegetarian foods . Now with this New Bigfoot Café , we could have more choice. I hope to visit the café in my next trip to Bentong. Not only serve drinks and foods , it also do have Dorje Shugden freebies to be invited home. With this café around in Bentong town , it will motivate the Bentong or outsiders folks to go on vegetarian. A good start.
Thank you Rinpoche for this wonderful news of the opening of a café.

All the food look so delicious. Can’t wait to try Bigfoot Cafe. Located at a very strategic place. I am sure this cafe will attract lots of local people and also visitors to Bentong to stop by and hang out there. Congrats to the team in setting up this nice cafe.
Finally! A vegetarian cafe that is eco-friendly too! Visited Bigfoot Cafe and was happy to see the use of metal straws and paper towels made from recycled paper. The food is delicious and my fav is their ice blended pineapple, the perfect thirst quencher on a hot day. My boys love the Bigfoot Burgers.
Best part of all is that we get to eat minus the guilt of killing animals. Compassionate dining is definitely the way to go!
