Dorje Shugden works & archives – a labour of commitment

Most Kecharians are strong, intelligent and educated people, and since day one, I have shared the Dharma with them in a logical and clear way. I have done so in a way that tells both sides of the story and have explained things to them on many levels so that they can think for themselves.
When Kecharians decide to adopt the Dharma or even any aspect or facet of it into their lives to practise, it is based on the fact that they have gone through it, thought about it, weighed the evidence, checked the facts and listened to the information available. Then when they decide to practise, it is really their own decision. I like that about my approach to bringing Dharma to other people. I share it with them and they think about it, and if it makes sense to them, then they make the decision to practise it.
And one of the Dharmas that I have brought to people is the supreme practice of Dorje Shugden, which was passed to me by my teacher over 30 years ago. I have kept it firmly and strongly in my heart and I have passed it to many of my students. The reason I have passed it to my students and many other people is because it is a beneficial practice. It is something that can help people in their lives and this has been proven time and time again. Whenever a powerful and beneficial practice appears in our realm, obstacles always arise. This is the result of people’s karma to not receive something beneficial. So those are obstacles but they will be overcome as is the case with the practice of Dorje Shugden.
Dorje Shugden’s practice is not about just praying to a deity and asking for help, there are many facets to it including: its lineage, its beginnings, history, background, the people who practice it, why they practice it, what was written about it, the literature – both historical and philosophical, and also the actual practice, the various traditions that practice this deity and also the many high and elite lamas as well as normal everyday persons in the last 350 years of its history who have practised it. There is a lot of powerful information on this practice. So, I have taken it upon myself and have spoken to Kecharians, and for the last couple of years, Kecharians and I have done our best to explain the practice, its history and background, philosophy and writings on Tsemrinpoche.com and various other places.
Kecharians have worked very hard with me. In fact, without Kecharians, I don’t think I would have been able to disseminate much of the Dorje Shugden practice all over the world. So, I may have some of the knowledge, but definitely it takes a team to put everything together in a presentable manner, that it becomes easy to read, easy to understand and logical to digest.

Therefore Kecharians have contributed in many ways – with their knowledge, prayers, love, work, and efforts (physically, emotionally and financially) for many years to preserve the lineage of Dorje Shugden, by having a lot of information available on him. We have been working out of a place here in Malaysia called Kechara Forest Retreat (KFR). In KFR we have various buildings and one of these is named Dukkar Apartments, where guests and residents stay, as well as where we have office areas and many other facilities, which you can read more about here.
Recently, I decided to put up a signage to represent that what we do in KFR, at least in Dukkar Apartments, and that is to bring Dorje Shugden’s lineage and works all over the world, as well as to archive all of the information we have researched for future generations. So, I created a signage with our team and it has been installed today. I am very happy and proud with the signage, not so much the sign itself but what it represents. It is the representation of all the hard work, dedication and commitment that a lot of Kecharians put into this. So I hope you enjoy the photos.
Dukkar Apartments has a few entrances. We have put up a sign at the main entrance and another one at one of the side entrances. The signage is dedicated to all the beautiful Dorje Shugden practitioners around the world for over 350 years, who have kept their commitment to their teachers to practice and hold the lineage, and share the lineage with others. And it is dedicated to the Kecharians who have done a tremendous amount of work in preserving the lineage of Dorje Shugden. I am grateful to them.

Thank you so much for this article. I’m feel very grateful that i had an opportunity to serve Rinpoche in all aspects. Yes, I agree that Kecharians are well educated, smart, strong and intelligents.
It is true that there is a lot of Dharma sharing in Kechara in every aspects. Kecharians doesn’t involve prayers but also meditations, beliefs, sayings, practices, Dharma sharing and so on. Thank you Kechara.
When this article was first posted and with great excitement of knowing the truth of the hard work done at Kechara, I wanted to be the first one to respond and comment. However at that early morning of the day, I felt that all I could have written would have been a simple thank you to my Guru and the team who worked so hard to have the literature and archives created for us and future generations.
As such, here I am now commenting on this article a couple of hours later. The practice of Dorje Shugden had been introduced to me more than 20 years ago by a lay man who founded a temple in Tambun, Perak. No information on this great Buddha Protector was taught to me except to just put His picture on my alter and light a joss stick for Him. I know nothing nor able to recite any mantra.
However, Dorje Shugden never gave up on me and my ignorance and years later, I met H.E. the 25th Rinpoche and from then on, Dorje Shugden had been the centre of my spiritual and secular life. Based on facts and knowledge of the lineage and great Masters.
Rinpoche always taught us about the historical facts of this Buddha Protector and how our lives can have a true meaning when we propitiates Him. Not only to be granted miracles of our greed but the well being of our mind.
The benefits granted by Dorje Shugden are huge and depending on where you are in your life, your obstacles will be removed in order for you to have a better meaning to life.
