Celebrity Ghost Stories-Must watch video!!!

Dear Everyone,

Since I was very young I’ve had a huge interest in the paranormal, Tibet, magic, mysteries, bigfoot, lochness, Findhorn, Ufo’s, Nazca lines, spirits, Salem, Easter Island, dowsing, Greek Gods, Hindu Gods, Yogis, Himalayas, Shambala, Aura, divinations, Delphic Oracle, Tibetan Oracles, Nature Spirits, Pan, Shamans and similar. I use to love that show called ‘IN SEARCH OF’ hosted by Leonard Nimoy. It is on youtube and I have the whole video collection. Pastor Loh Seng Piow ordered for me. I watch it from time to time. I loved ‘Chariot of the Gods’  Erich Von Daniken and have watched it 20 times maybe. I can really relate to these subjects. Even now I am very interested and find these subjects very fascinating. I always watch shows related to the above. Especially documentaries.

Yes, I do believe 100% in UfO’s, lochness, bigfoot, Shambala, Nature Spirits all the way. There are so many realms and planes of existence that Lord Buddha has described and mentioned many times. I trust Lord Buddha. Buddha talked about other existences over 2,600 years ago before cultural prejudices said it can or cannot exist.

The other day I watched Ghost Stories by Celebrities. It was very interesting. So I thought I’d share with you. Do enjoy please.

I have always like to listen to ghost stories maybe it sounds very mysterious. Many people don’t believe the existence of ghost because they have not seen one. To me, I have not seen one either but somehow I believe their existence.

Before learning about Buddhism, I am worried if I will see a ghost because I don’t know what I should do and whether the ghost will harm me. In Buddhism belief, ghosts are also one of the sentient beings, they are like human, they have feelings and emotions too. However, they can be quite pitiful, they take rebirth as a ghost because of their attachment and they are stuck. Most of them are very lonely.

If we ever see a ghost, we should remain calm and with compassion chant mantra for them, tell them to let go. Don’t ever try to communicate with the ghost because we don’t have the power to help them. We can always go and seek advice from a master if needed.

I have always enjoyed supernatural movies and I do enjoy the show Celebrity Ghost Stories and it is interesting how so many types of hauntings had been experienced by them. We are so fortunate now that we are able to watch these shows online without having to wait for the next episode. It really teaches us to be grateful for our lives as human and not having to live in such sufferings as ghosts, especially those who have to repeat their sufferings over and over again, like those who committed suicide. We need to learn to overcome our attachment now and not wait until its too late. Learning day by day until we are free and not bothered by possessions, material and emotional. Thank you for sharing with us, Rinpoche.

I think this teaches us that she should never ever make fun of paranormal stuffs. Spirits do exist it’s just that the scientists/researchers still can’t find a way to proof that they do exist because spirits are formless that why. And nobody knows what are the spirits are capable doing to you. It’s not like because you are a buff and strong guy, you can fight off the spirit. Remember, the spirits are formless so therefore, you have no chance of fighting them. If you ever have any disturbances, please remember to pray to your own religion. For me, I would prefer to chant Setrap’s mantra.

  4. Edward Ooi on Feb 3, 2013 at 5:11 pm

Wow! This video of ghost story is so interesting and scary. This video taught us that spirits are just like humans. After we die some of us may be reborn as spirits, animals, hell beings, humans, gods or Buddhas. Never say that spirits are evil, they are just like us except that they are no longer in a human body. Never make fun of them, they have feelings too. Please think in this way, if you are one of the spirits and someone is living in your house and they make fun of you, ask yourself: how does that feel? So please be nice to all sentient beings.

    Hi Rinpoche,

I can relate to Lisa Rinna’s story.. My mum experienced something very similar, and I was the kid. I didn’t remember the incident, but my mum told me about it. Haha.
It seemed that when I was younger (I forgot how old exactly, but old enough that I could talk), my mum was going through an old photo album with me, and when a photo of my great grandmother (my mum’s grandmother, who she had been VERY close to), I happily pointed at it and told my mum, “She’s my friend. She comes to play with me every night.”
And my mum was VERY creeped out about it. Hahaha. She told my grandparents about it and they agreed that it could have been that my great grandmother came as a spirit to play with her first great grandchild. (My mum was the eldest of three and no one else had kids, so yeah, maybe she came to see me. lol )
But I think after that one incident, I don’t think it happened anymore though because my mother said I no longer mentioned anything about the ‘visits’.

Just thought I’d share with you that little piece of story. ^^ Oh, and I love your paranormal section! ^^

I got really scared even at the start of the video. I think this video scared me because it told me that ghosts do not only appear in movies or television, they appear everywhere. I thought that just the pop ups in the beginning where the most scary as they popped up unsuspectingly and it gives of an ear piercing scream.

  9. Lily on Jul 10, 2010 at 7:49 pm

There is a rise and rebirth of horror films in recent times in the cinema and on television. These genre of movies are not particularly thrilling for me. We are not talking about violent horror shows but a modern take with a bit twist of romantic influence, Twilight, The Vampire Diaries and Supernatural. I do not like the dark because of the ‘unknowns’ that are lurking around. I remembered the first time Rinpoche asked me why I would like a VY statue and my stand (a holy one!!) was to get rid of my attachments and desires! But my main reason was to ward of spirits! Rinpoche saw through that, of course and gave me a teaching on compassion. Compassion not only to living beings but also to the spirits. Through Rinpoche’s kindness, I would now chant mantras when I am in the dark, not for defence but to bless the spirits around! I still watch horror shows with fingers covering my eyes but the gaps are getting bigger!

I ‘saw’ my first ghost when I was at my tender age of 7 and it was on telly. It was a Malay movie on POCONG. Pocong is a ghost that is said to be the soul of dead person trapped in their suit. The pocong suit is used by Muslims to cover the body of the dead person. They cover the dead body with white fabric called mori (kain kafan) and tie the clothing over the head and under the feet. According to the native beliefs, the soul of a dead person will stay on the earth for 40 days after the death. When the ties aren’t released after 40 days, the body is said to jump out from the grave to warn people that the soul need the bonds to be released. After the ties are released, the soul will leave the earth and never appear again. Because of the tie under the feet, the ghost can’t walk. This causes the pocong to hop. The thing I realise is, as a kid I actually found the strangely wrapped up ‘ghost’ clumsy and funny. There was no sign of fear at all. Something happened between that 7-year-old me and who I am now… where in between did fear creep into my sub-conscience? Is it when I started to understand and recognise what ‘threat’ is and what it could do? It is said that fear is am emotional response to a perceived threat. It is a basic survival mechanism occurring in response to a specific stimulus, such as pain or the threat of danger. Children being pure, innocent and free of fear… are these a few of the many reasons why younger children are more open to having any sort of connections to the spirit world? It does make me wonder.

  11. David Lai on Jul 9, 2010 at 6:18 pm

Ghosts don’t just exist on TV and in the movies as even the Buddha mentioned that there were six realms and amongst them is the hungry ghost realm. It is a state of existence of total emotional and physical poverty. It is very sad because people continually create the conditions to be reborn there by being emotionally stingy and uncaring. On the other hand, many people that die and are unable to let go of tremendous attachment takes rebirth as a spirit.
Spirits are just like people, where there are diferent personalities like those that are nice, not nice, friendly, malevolent and angry spirits. However, they suffer much more than humans and so we should have compassion for their sufferings. There is a variety of methods in Buddhism to benefit the spirit world and generally one can dedicate prayers and mantras to the Buddha for these beings. As for interfering spirits, Rinpoche taught me to recite White Umbrella’s mantra – Om Sita Ta Pa Trey Hum Phet consistently and the interferences will stop.

  12. Peter on Jul 7, 2010 at 7:13 pm

    Terima Kasih Rinpoche!
‘“The ghosts here are real,” says Aziz.’
I wonder what are people’s definition of ‘real’ these days? LOL
When things are good? When things are bad? When one is high on something? When one is moody? When one closes both eyes, hoping it will go away? When things go bump at night?
Denial or otherwise are perhaps just basic tools of survival, of getting around things but never as how the Buddha taught us as how Rinpoche always reminds us: to see them as they really are, not how we want them to be …imprints…imputations… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxhk4VwrJlc
    Just a thought..

    Dear Venerable Rinpoche ,
Wishing you a good day. An interesting story on The Star today. For your reading.
    Sunday June 27, 2010
Close encounter with spirits and a headless woman
THE older the structure, the more likely it is to be haunted. Given the chequered history of Pudu Prison – which dates back to 1895 – you can be sure it has more than its fair share of ghostly tales.
Abu Bakar Juah says it was common to hear things at night – footsteps where no one was supposed to be, chains rattling, and even hearing someone or something taking a bath when everyone is locked in.
“We normally shout out loud that we are merely trying to make a living and tell whatever that’s out there to leave us alone,” he says.
Haji Aziz Haji Idris tells of an encounter while on duty at one of the guard towers when he was still a young officer.
“It was shortly after midnight and I was on night duty with another person when I saw an officer approaching. As we had been trained, I banged my rifle on the floor and shouted out ‘Everything all right, sir!”
Aziz says the figure said nothing but raised his hand, and then suddenly disappeared.
He also remembers one particular bunk in the warder’s dormitory which everyone tried to avoid.
“Anyone who slept there would be sure to feel an unseen force pressing down on his chest. They may try to shout or move but will be helpless to do anything,” he says, adding that some would rather sleep on the floor than use the bunk.
Abu Bakar also recalls a weird phenomenon – a ball of fire the size of a football that suddenly appeared and rolled out of sight.
“It happened every once in a while, and in cycles. Everyone would be talking about it for a while,” he says.
But the scariest tale is that of a recurring apparition of a woman. Aziz believes it was the ghost of a woman who was hanged there.
“She had tried to kill herself previously by slitting her throat. She survived but before she was fully recovered, the execution order came,” he says.
“She was brought to the execution chamber and hanged – but because of the injury, her head was literally torn off. It was a gruesome death and that is the ghost that many people have seen.”
He recalls an encounter with this apparition.
“I was on duty at Block D, where death row is located, and directly above the execution chamber is a huge anchor stone.
“Out of the corner of my eye I saw a figure sitting on this stone. Malays believe ghosts’ feet do not touch the ground, and when I bent over to look, the figure disappeared,” he says.
But a fellow officer’s encounter was even more shocking.
“Once, a police officer was interviewing prisoners and it was getting late. However, he said that he could interview one more, and I went down to bring another one.
“As he was filling in some forms he saw a figure sitting down. Thinking it was another prisoner he looked up, only to see a headless woman with blood flowing down her chest. The officer ran down the stairs as fast as he could,” he says.
Aziz believes Pudu Prison is a very “dirty” place and in some places is a giant graveyard.
“During World War II, the British buried Japanese soldiers there, and when the Japanese took over, they buried the British there.
“The ghosts here are real,” says Aziz.
    Yours Sincerely ,
    Liew Chee Khoi.
(the above was emailed to me, I thought I’d share it)

Thank you for sharing this article.Training is a way to break us from our comfort zone. If we do not open up our mind to be trained, how would we see and understand deeper. Of course, training does not usually come easy.

With hard work and consistency, we will surely see results. If we fail, we must examine what went wrong and why.If we are not committed in our training, it is very hard for us to get the result

Thank you so much for this article. Based on the story it is a bizarre tale of supernatural phenomena that occurred after the historic battle of Dan-no-ura which took place in 1185. It is said that Hoichi the Earless One is a well known Japanese folktale character who lived during the feudal era.

What terrified me is Hoichi alone playing his biwa in the pouring rain in front of the memorial tomb of Antoku Tenno while loudly chanting the song about the Battle of Dan-no-ura. Thank you.

Thailand’s ‘Renegade’ Yet Powerful Buddhist Nuns

According to the Buddha, women are just as capable as men in the practice of the Dharma and have the potential to achieve enlightenment. Records of sayings and deeds of pre-eminent Buddhist nuns can be found in the early Buddhist schools, such as the collection of famous poems composed by the elder nuns about enlightenment that are preserved in the Pali Canon.

If they were recognised as equal by Buddha, find out why are the female nuns considered renegades now: http://bit.ly/RenegadeNuns1

Miyolangsangma, the Goddess of Inexhaustible Giving

Tengboche Rinpoche, the Abbot of Tengboche Monastery, tells of how the Sherpas fleeing Tibet brought books that described the mountain and valley that would provide them with a place of refuge. In particular, the Sherpas believe that the south side of Mount Everest is a beyul, one of several hidden valleys designated by Guru Rinpoche.

Both Sherpas and Tibetans also believe that Mount Everest is the abode of the goddess Jomo Miyolangsangma.

Thank you so much for this article. Choyang Kuten Lama who came from humble beginnings, has experienced his first trance when he was seventeen years old. Choyang Kuten Lama’s life story and deeds are an example of someone who had a special relationship with Dorje Shugden where he spent most of his life in doing services to others.

In the world today, there are many, many qualified oracles where they able to take full trance of an entity that can use that person and use that person’s body to do work. Thank you.

We don’t have to be egoistic, we are actually quite small if you look at how big the universe is. We may have seen and experienced many things but there are even more things that we have not seen and experienced before. Different people will have different perceptions of us. Their perception is based on their own experience with us, with life and their brought up as well. Therefore, as long as we know we are doing the right things and conduct ourselves in the right way, we don’t have to argue or justify with others just to prove ourselves right. We can prove to them the real us through or action, which is more important.

Nagarjuna was a famous teacher of the Mahayana and was known as Acharya (instructor in religious matters). His teachings and writings on sunyata (emptiness) and other Buddhist topics are still considered as authoritative guides for many Buddhist practitioners and monasteries.

Thank you Rinpoche for this precise teachings from this book Snakes, Pigs and Rooster. Very detailed book which we could learn and inspired by those teachings. Rinpoche has used Buddhist philosophy and psychology, guiding us to transform our mind to distract us from all those unnecessary attachments. I have not get hold of the book yet but reading through blogs gave me a better view . A good book for our reading and learning from all the teachings to reach that ultimate level of an Enlightened Mind. It will inspired us to live our lives meaningfully.
Thank you again Rinpoche with folded hands and thanks to Pastor Han Nee for this sharing.

Stephen Hawking is a world-renowned British theoretical physicist, known for his contributions to the fields of cosmology, general relativity and quantum gravity. Watching his amazing videos , I concluded the world is a vast of the last centuries and there are things which cannot be seen within our eyes. He was known for his ground breaking work with black holes and was the author of several popular science books. Interesting to watch these videos to understand better of the universe, galaxy, stars, milky ways, gravity , black holes and so forth. All these exists billion of years ago. Some new knowledge to know for many of us.

According to the Tibetan Buddhist belief, Dalai Lama is considered to be the incarnation of Avalokiteśvara, while Panchen Lama is the incarnation of Amitābha. The Panchen Lama is the second most important figure in Tibetan Buddhism. The Panchen Lama’s collection of sadhanas so called Rinjung Lhantab which is a tantric liturgical ‘manual’ of instructions for achieving Enlightenment. Trying to understand more and still reading to get a better view all about this . More suitable for advanced disciples but glad to read a little of it.
Thank you Pastor David for this sharing.

Thank you, Rinpoche and the blog team to share about the history of the Jews and their similarity with Dorje Shugden practitioners at this age. Discrimination and segregation have been used throughout the past as a tool to oppress a smaller group of people whom the larger group of people deemed unworthy or wrong.

It has happened to all societies and all cultural backgrounds just at a different level. However, that does not mean it is okay, and we should accept it. It is not okay for another group of people to cause suffering to another group of people.

On top of that, the people who are discriminating Dorje Shugden practitioners are mostly Buddhist. Lord Buddha’s teaching teaches us to be patient, kind, and tolerant. They are clearly not practising the teachings, and they are destroying the Buddha’s teaching by behaving barbarically and unreasonably.

The Unknown

The Known and unknown are both feared,
Known is being comfortable and stagnant,
The unknown may be growth and opportunities,
One shall never know if one fears the unknown more than the known.
Who says the unknown would be worse than the known?
But then again, the unknown is sometimes worse than the known. In the end nothing is known unless we endeavour,
So go pursue all the way with the unknown,
because all unknown with familiarity becomes the known.

    2 yearss ago
What the meat industry figured out is that you don't need healthy animals to make a profit.
Sick animals are more profitable... farms calculate how close to death they can keep animals without killing them. That's the business model. How quickly they can be made to grow, how tightly they can be packed, how much or how little can they eat, how sick they can get without dying... We live in a world in which it's conventional to treat an animal like a block of wood. ~ Jonathan Safran Foer
