Excellent travelogue of holy places in Tibet
Dear friends around the world,
I have been interested in travelogues but this one I came across accidentally is really interesting and I was glued to it. I’ve seen so many programs on Tibet, but this is really nice. He starts his journey just outside of Tibet and enter and show you so many holy and pristine places. At one point the young host was even moved to tears in Yating when he caught sight for the first time of Avalokitesvara Mountain.
I really enjoyed it as it is from CCTV in China and the host is lively, quick and speaks very good English. They have wonderful programs in Chinese language too which I don’t speak but I am sure many will enjoy too.
You must take your time and go through these videos and it’s in High Definition for your viewing pleasure. Very enjoyable. Please take a look and enjoy, enjoy and enjoy and feel spiritually uplifted at the end. I know you will enjoy this very much!!
Some of the places I would like to visit too and I am not a traveler type! 🙂

P.S. The whole wonderful video is 2.5 hours but it is broken down into 10 videos at about 15 mins each. I chose these 10 to embed instead of another one that contained five videos at 26 minutes each because these were much more clearer. Also in between you can take breaks and get snacks!!!
This is a picture of Meili Mountain in Tibet that 8 Goddesses reside. You will see in the travelogue. I would like to live in this type of environment very much.

Jampalyang (Manjushri) Mountain in Tibet in the area of Yating, Kham, Tibet. I have never heard of this place till this travelogue. You will see these three mountains clustered near eachother in the travelogue. It is stunning and I would very much like to visit. In fact this area contains Avalokitesvara Mountain whom people upon viewing feel very spiritually emotional upon approaching as they feel the powerful energy emanating from this mountain. Jampalyang Mountain of Manjushri and Channa Dorje Mountain which is Vajrapani. Stunning, holy and enticing to say the least. The three Bodhisattvas are said to have manifested here in these three mountains. Thousands come for pilgrimage monthly till present day. They connect with Avalokitesvara, Manjushri and Vajrapani here at this holy place.
Chenrezig (Avalokitesvara) Mountain in Yating, Kham, Tibet. You can see this place in the Travelogue. Fantastic to say the least. It is believed if you circumambulate once this mountain, the spiritual merits is equivalent to reciting 100 million Om Mani Peme Hungs! Most Tibetans will go around this mountain three times during their pilgrimage. Now many foreigners are visiting and feeling the powerful energy and blessings emitting from these three peaks.
Another angle of the holy Manjushri mountain. Imagine, this is one of the places where Manjushri the Buddha of Wisdom’s energy abides. Being here will be a tremendous blessing. I would very much like to have a hut here to engage in Manjushri retreat. Simply stunning as well as very holy. I make prayers to visit this place. May many of you visit also I pray and hope.
This is the holy mountain of Channa Dorje or Vajrapani. The snows on these mountains never melt and is said to have been here for thousands of years already.
This temple is at the start of the circumambulation circuit of the three holy mountains in Yating. The central image in this old and holy temple is Long Life form of LordTsongkapa ( Je Tse Zingma).

Able to travel there seeing the beauty and sacred place is a life time experience for me. After watching these videos again and reading all the information regarding Tibet , reminds me of my pilgrimage there with my friends. Its amazing seeing those Holy places.

Amazing worth travelling there to see for myself such a holy place. Being there will be a tremendous blessing as it is one of the places where Manjushri the Buddha of Wisdom’s energy abides.Wow ….As a natural reserve it is the home of China’s three holy mountains, which are Jampelyang, Chenresig and Chana Dorje.Looks very beautiful and the scenic views were just amazing to be there.

Thank you for taking the time and effort to find and share with us these clips and knowledge. It is amazing that we live in this time and age that a lot of us are busy worrying about chasing dreams, ambitions, money, status, and power – yet, in another part of the world, those above does not matter. What matters is visiting these holy sites, with clear and visible aim just to be in a place where Enlightened Beings manifested and left energies there. I am truly amazed that we always get hooked up on unnecessary worries, but forgot how beautiful the world truly is. Thank you again.
Dear Rinpoche, when Pastor Seng Piow and I were visiting Tsem Monastery in Yara, Tibet, which is just 260 km away from the town Shangri-la, we passed by these beautiful scenic views of Meili Mountain. Gedun Nyedrak (Rinpoche’s previous incarnation) the 72nd Abbot of Gaden Shartse Monastery in Tibet came from the household of Selsha who lived in Yara, Kham. He was affectionately known as Selsha Rinpoche. The descendants of the Selsha household are still living in Yara when we visited. Hence it is no wonder Rinpoche’s imprint is so immensely strong to wanting to return to these beautiful snow-capped mountains for retreats.
I look forward to go again to these places with Rinpoche real soon. But Rinpoche need to be well and fit to travel to these lovely sacred places.
Dear Rinpoche, wishing you to visit the 3 sacred mountains, it is unbelievable beautiful, even from the video itself, estatic and breathtakings.
This documentary is informative and the presenter speaks really well bilingual. They covered almost all of the worth visiting sites in Shangri-La and Tibet. I’ve visited some of the sites like Gaden Sumtseling Monastery & “Tiger leaping” gorge in Shangri-La. The holy energy in the whole Shangri-La makes you wanna stay there long term. It’s so calm and peaceful. Imagine doing retreats in Yating village at the foot of Manjushri mountain (Yang ma yong)..Would really love to visit the 3 holy mountains with Rinpoche one day 🙂
I like this series of Travelogue very much. Good host speaking good English and passionate of his work and travel, amazing and excellent video filming of the wondrous natural beauty of the holy lands. A must see for nature lovers who may not have the opportunity to be there physically.

In one part of the Excellent Traveloque programe, one can’t miss the three spiritual mountainous peaks of bodhisattva Chenresig (known as Avalokitesvara or Kwan Yin Pusa), Manjushri and Vajrapani, clustered near each other at Yating, Tibet. It is incredibly stunning, and all who set eyes on them will be spiritually attracted to want to visit and see them. Many from experiences, said that powerful energy and inner spiritual emotions were felt upon the approaching to these three holy mountains. The three Bodhisattvas were said to have manifested in these three spiritual peaks. Thousands from all walks of life, including foreigners, practioners and tibetans too, are visiting and feeling the blessings emitted from these three holy peaks. But, most Tibetans as said, will go around the mountainous peaks of Chenresig three times during the pilgrimage, as it is believed if anyone circumbulate once this mountain, the spiritual merits is equivalent to reciting 100million times of Om mani padme hung!
It is truly Heaven. Now I know how’s the real Shangrila looks like. Thank you Rinpoche for sharing such a beautiful and educational video. Other than all the beautiful scenery of Tibet, the host shared lots of Buddhism facts and history with the audience. He also showed us the culture of the people who live there and the best thing was he showed how to get to the mountains so that we can get the best scenery and experience.
Like Pastor JJ said, by watching these videos will plant imprints for us to gain realizations in the future which is so true. Feel like I just came back from a mini pilgrimage trip. I make prayers and wishes to be there very soon.

I just want to say that the mere sight of the Jampalyang Mountain in the area of Yating, Kham, Tibet, the Avalokitesvara Mountain and the Channa Dorje (Vajrapani) Mountain which is simply amazing and stunning! I can not imagine how powerful to be there physical and won’t mind staying at the bottom for retreat! I wish very much to be there one day, during summer, hehe! Thank you Rinpoche for sharing!

Amazing documentary, really an eye opener! Very well presented by CCTV and the host was very good in explaining and keeping it lively. Really made me want to go on a pilgrimage to these 3 sacred mountains of Manjushri, Vajrapani and Chenrezig. Perhaps one day. It is spectacular! There definitely lies some kind of spiritual energy, as even the host could feel a sense of cleansing, healing and purity amongst the gigantic glacier mountains.
It’s really good to know that China is now looking at preserving as much as Tibet culture and heritage due to tourism and nice to know that there are reliable food and lodging in such remote places. However, kind of sad to see the empty monasteries with no Lamas and real teachings. Also don’t really like the meaty types of food that seems to be the main speciality. Never the less it is an amazing journey I think one has to personally experience to really appreciate the beauty on this planet, looks like paradise can be found on earth in these mystical mountains. Never had China on my list of places to visit, but after watching this documentary, I’m sold. Must also visit the panda sanctuary!

I spent over two hours to finish above videos, it is amazing!!!The nature view of the three mountains are sooooo beautiful. Through the video I can saw how beautiful the three mountain are. It’s really touched me the host Tianran He teared when he saw the first view of the holy mountain.
I think believed of the holy energy made him moved and cried. I can see how emotional he is. This is pure holy Buddha energy. The holy energy will touch all the people who visit here, and move their inner emotional. The holy energy like an enlighten being who have unlimited love and compassion, when they come close to you, you will feel emotion and moved without any reason. This called compassion conquer all!!! The three holy mountains and the enlighten beings can touch all sentient beings heart, I truly believed that the logic behidn is same.

I got my eyes glued onto the screen the entire time watching this Travelogue and not only is it informative and packed with breath-taking sites in the entire documentary, it brings out the spiritual essence of what these places are supposed to represent.
The three mountains which represents the Rigsum Gonpo who are Chenresig, Manjushri and Vajraprani respectively are considered to be the protectors of Buddhism and the entire humankind. Without Compassion, Wisdom and Spiritual Strength, the wheel of Dharma would not be able to turn and benefit countless beings. Just as Manjushri said he would emanate in many world systems in animate and inanimate forms. In this case, the three protectors decided to manifest in breath taking mountain peaks. Some might say that this is just folk lore but a good example that these are real manifestations of an enlightened mind is the fact that the Travelogue host was very emotional when he first caught glimpse of Mount Chenresig. Though it may just be a snow capped peak, due to the vows and prayers of these Buddhas, it can open up imprints in us to come closer to realizing the Buddha nature in us~!
Chenresig, Manjushri and Vajrapani also manifests in countless human forms. Another example is Lama Tsongkhapa and sons. Lama Tsongkhapa is Manjushri, Gyaltsabje is Chenresig and Khedrupje is Vajrapani. Their emanations fills the extent of space but these three brothers always work together hand in hand to bring benefit to people.
Thank you for sharing with us this amazing video. Just by watching these videos plants imprints in our minds to gain realizations of extraordinary. May i be able to visit this place some day with Rinpoche and be able to bear witness to this almighty emanation!

Thank you for sharing this wonderful CCTV documentary. i found the host to be lively and kinda reminds me of Pastor SP. I am actually quite impressed with his simple Dharmic explanations because they are accurate and he seems well-informed. I love the many places he went to and I liked how he was moved to tears when he saw the sacred peaks. I believe he was referring to the 3 Bodhisattvas as ‘Rigsum Gompo’. I love the Lithang monastery and also Sampheling in Chatreng. Somewhere in between, the host stayed in a beautiful old Tibetan mansion with modern facilities. Love that too. Ohh… this video has made me wanna go to Tibet! I guess, I will go one day real soon…

I’ve enjoyed watching the videos and it made me want to visit Tibet even more. The holy 3 sacred peaks, the monasteries and the Tibetan culture, so beautiful. Words cannot expressed how amazing the places are. I wish dearly I can visit these holy sites soon.
