Abby Foo’s Dharma Sharing | 符芳盈中文佛法视频分享
After graduating as a journalist major from New Era University College in November 2010, Abby Foo had plans to leave for Taiwan in September 2011 to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in speech communication. During her gap year however, she met H.E. Tsem Rinpoche and moved by his insightful teachings, she decided to join Kechara full-time. Her life-changing decision was inspired by the realisation that she was really after a teacher who possesses complete wisdom and a mastery of the Dharma, which has the incontrovertible answers to life’s questions. In His Eminence, she had found such a quality.
In August 2011, Abby began working as a full-time Chinese translator in Kechara Media & Publications. Two years later, she joined Tsem Ladrang as a writer and translator. Her responsibilities lie mainly in translating H.E. Tsem Rinpoche’s teachings into Chinese, as well as social media management in the Chinese-speaking world.
Now, having followed His Eminence’s teachings for eight years, Abby sees transformation within herself due to her teacher’s kindness, and has full conviction that the pursuit of spirituality should start when we are young, especially when people have the opportunity to meet the Guru and the Buddhadharma. Abby has also witnessed how His Eminence’s teachings change people’s lives for the better; her experiences have thus deepened her faith even further. A believer in ‘sharing is caring’, it is this proverb which compels Abby to share His Eminence’s teachings to as many as she can, so that words of the Buddha will give relief to the suffering of their mind.
2010年11月，符芳盈毕从马来西亚新纪元大学学院毕业。按照原定计划，她将在隔年的九月份前往台湾世新大学攻读口语传播学士学位。但在毕业直到去台湾升学的那段时间，她遇见尊贵的詹杜固仁波切，发觉仁波切的法教非常触动人心，也为她对人生的疑问和不安给了坚不可摧的答案。于是，她决定全职加入克切拉。她清楚知道，自己所追随的“老师”——尊贵的詹杜固仁波切，是一个极具智慧的佛教大师。
2011年8月，芳盈开始在克切拉媒体出版社担任全职翻译；两年后，她加入詹拉章，负责撰稿和翻译。其主要职务，是将尊贵的詹杜固仁波切的开示翻译成中文，以及管理上师的中文社交媒体平台的内容。
如今追随上师八年之久后，芳盈看到自己因为上师的慈悲教导而出现的转变。因此，她深信人应该趁年轻修行，尤其当人们有机会遇见上师及佛法。这些年来，芳盈见证上师仁波切如何以一己之力改变无数人的生命， 使得她对上师的信心倍增。由于坚信“好东西一定要分享”的道理，于是她尽其所能，广为分享上师的开示，好让更多人能获得心灵的解脱。

《事师五十颂》第九颂
在这段视频中，我跟大家讲解《事师五十颂》中的第九颂。第九颂的前半部清楚说明，传授无上部密续的上师，即是金刚上师应该具备哪二十个特征/能力，而传授下部密的上师又应该具备哪十个特征/能力。相同的，一位具格的弟子，又应该具备哪些条件呢？对学密的弟子，以及对学道次第的弟子又有哪些要求呢？

《事师五十颂》简介与第十、十一、十二颂
金刚弟子向金刚上师所做的哪怕是一丁点善行，都足以累积为数不可思议的功德；相同的，若金刚弟子轻毁多年以慈悲和善巧循循善诱教导即身成佛之道的金刚上师，其后果也是不堪设想的。以上内容，也是释迦摩尼佛对金刚手菩萨的开示。

《事师五十颂》第十三、十四、十五颂
第十三、十四和十五颂解释到为什么弟子不会做令上师烦恼之事，若做令上师烦恼之事，必会投生地狱。多部密续经典，如《胜乐根本续》、《密集根本续》、《吉祥月密明点·密续之王》中就有说明没有上师依止心，即使再如何精进修行，亦不会获得高成就。其中还会说到常啼菩萨因如理承事上师法上菩萨而在七年内修得七地菩萨的果位，这在显宗的修行里头是做不到的，但因为常啼菩萨对上师有巨大的虔敬心，他把不可能化作可能。

《事师五十颂》第十六、十七、十八、十九颂
第十六、十七、十八、十九颂的内容就包括若我们有意或无意间对上师有所不敬，那我们可以透过诚心供养上师，祈求原谅而净化轻毁上师的罪业。再来，我们也应该观察佛教大师是如何承事自己的金刚上师，如何对金刚上师保持虔敬，而不是只顾着观察佛教大师诵经好不好，法器摇得好不好。从观察佛教大师如何如理依止金刚上师，我们也将获益无穷。我的上师，尊贵的詹杜固仁波切也如是说。根据《时轮根本续》如理依止上师，对上师保持圆满的虔敬心将使我们在一世之间获得原本需要历经无量亿劫才能证得的佛果。最后，这几个偈颂也不忘提醒金刚弟子要时时向诸佛如来和上师诚心做供养。

《事师五十颂》第二十、二十一、二十二、二十三颂
第二十、二十一、二十二、二十三颂说到要获得无尽的成就——即佛的法身，那弟子就应该向金刚上师广做供养、累积福德资粮，而且向金刚上师做供养，也就等于向十方诸佛做供养，功德不可思议。透过这种供养所累积的功德，将有助于我们获得金刚不坏的成就——成佛。作为一名具格的金刚弟子，除了要有大悲心，也要持戒清净，并且能视上师与金刚总持无二无别。

《事师五十颂》第二十四、二十五、二十六颂
第二十四、二十五、二十六颂讲到有大智慧的弟子会带着欢喜心聆听上师的教授和指示，因为有大智慧的弟子明了上师的教授和指示都是为教化自己而说，而且听闻之后更应该持着坚韧不拔的态度去完成上师大大小小的指示和教授。其中也讲明在什么样的情况下，弟子可以选择不遵照上师的话行动，其中就引述了佛陀释迦摩尼前世的故事。除此，阿底峡尊者和三位弟子的故事也出现在其中。再者，如理依止上师不但能使我们满足现世之愿，更能使我们来世投生善趣。《喜金刚续》当中就有明言。而且，作为一名具格弟子，我们也应该找看上师的财物、家眷等，并且以虔敬心对待之。

Meeting with the dharma, is like you are given a magnifying glass, and it helps you to see things more clearer than before. Everyone is who sees clearly in life, will be able achieve success in life no matter the form that success manifests as. If one has a choice, it is much better to meet the dharma early on in life than later.
With the dharma, one has much more options and more means to deal with the vicissitudes and the ups and downs life has to offer to us.
I think Abby has come a long way, since she started with Kechara. She is an amazing and energetic part of Kechara and in bringing the dharma to others.

Through her translations and oral presentations, Abby Foo is using her talents to promote H.E. Tsem Rinpoche’s teachings and the Kechara organisation. She may be young but she is very dedicated in her Dharma work, benefiting herself and others. She speaks very well, with confidence and assertiveness, and many people are impressed with her interpretative skills. She also has a kind and caring heart. I’m very happy for young Abby and wish her all the best in her chosen vocation.
Abby is indeed talented in all fields at such a young age. Nowadays there are more youngster chasing their dreams to purchase their career path. But some how Abby choose to be with Rinpoche doing what she loves in translating , writing as well as social media management in the Chinese-speaking world. She forgo her studies in Taiwan to be with Kechara. Abby has also witnessed Rinpoche’s teachings that change people’s lives for the better which then inspired her . Even though I have not known her for long and could not understand her videos in mandarin , I can only say she is friendly, happy go lucky go, helpful and speaks well confidently in her dharma sharing.

The topics on Guru-Disciple Relationship picked by Abby here are vital for new students as well as existing students – because the guru plays the role of the source of inspiration, blessing, transmission, and so on. Tremendous emphasis has been placed on maintaining proper reliance with our guru. Only by developing pure respect and complete devotion to the guru, that one can gain spiritual realisation and attainment.
