63 Tara statues offered by Datuk May

Datuk May, the president of Kechara House invited 63 Taras. One Tara was dedicated for one year in her life. Each Tara will be slowly given away to people to bless their homes and be a jewel in their shrines.
Doing such practices purifies body karma that can hamper you from doing dharma work. Collects great amount of merit to attain the Enlightened qualities of Mother Tara. Also it creates a great affinity to Tara to assist you to accomplish your dharma practice and your goals.
One of the preliminary practices before Tantric practice is to engage in the retreats of creating 100,000 Tsatsa images of your yidam. This is similar to that practice.
We should do our best to create images of Buddhas for our shrines and to gift them to people as much as possible throughout our lives. There’s no limit to this practice until we become a Buddha.
When the King of Sri Lanka invited the Buddha Shakyamuni to visit and give dharma to his kingdom, the Buddha did not make it. Instead, Buddha Shakyamuni sent a line drawing of his own form as a gift to the King.
To see the blessed form of the Buddha is tremendous blessings. Buddha said after he passes, worshiping a image of the Buddha collects the same merits as worshiping the Buddha in the flesh. Hence the tradition of Buddha images arose from Lord Buddha Shakyamuni Himself.
We do not worship the statue or painting as that is just metal or canvas, but the symbol it represents. Buddhists do not worship statues. The statues symbolize the essence of the Buddha and our own potential within us. The images hold a powerful symbolism to the qualities of a Buddha we wish to achieve. It us a blessed reminder to the sacred form of the Tathagata Buddha.

I’m from Singapore n pray to lord Buddha for many years but recently l started to pray to green Tara a few months but l do the chanting for the green Tara but it’s just a mere coincidence that with ur green Tara for many years that the merits that accrue from Tara that benefit u n wish that ur generosity to give the Tara to the respected home as a gift so l really appreciate ur kindness n sincerely wish u healthy life n wish u a blissful life to u and ur family

Wow! Never see so many Tara before. They look so grand and stunning. Datuk May is one of the most generous people in Kechara. Although she is 64 this year but her energy and passion to spread Rinpoche’s teaching still going strong and over flow. Datuk May has two daughters, Li Kim who in charge of Kechara Media & Publications and Li Kheng who in charge of Ladrang (Rinpoche’s head office & residence) now. Hence Datuk May must leave long and healthy to help Rinpoche to spread Lama Tsongkapa teachings to the world. What a meritorious spiritual journey! I rejoice!
It is really amazing to me that Datuk May has this great merit to have so many statues of Lord Tara in her own house. Cannot really imagine the amount of great merits that Datuk May will continue to accumulate through owing and giving these statues of Lord Tara away.
Datuk May has certainly contributed a lot towards the growth of Kechara and the spreading of Dharma.
Whoever will become the lucky recipients of these Lord Tara, I wish very much that they can open their hearts to learn and practice dharma throughout their lives.
I really love this teaching of the King and Buddha’s line drawing, this also remind me of King Udrayana and the Wheel of Life.

This is the good virtual action Datuk May able to donated 63 statues mother tara statues purchase from the outlets to give away to others for her preliminary practices to purify body karma.
No doubt Datuk May did her best to practice dharma in her age, dedicate her time and devote to Tsem Rinpoche the rest of her life. Datuk May also brought in her beloved 2 daughter li kim and li kheng to promote our lama and protector practice to the China.
Under mother tara blessing, Datuk May will have the good health and swift power to assist rinpoche build KWPC and Menara Kechara at the future.
Datuk May is very fiercely motivated, grounded, passionate, focused, but she is also; kind, caring, compassionate, loving. She has been living Dharma but just didn’t know it. I love that she has found Rinpoche and feels the connection. She is true devotion, and she just wants to do more and more to make kwpc a realilty.
I love being around Datuk, she just rubs off on you, she is totally real. She voluntarily aligns herself towards the vision of Rinpoche to be of benefit to Malaysians and the world. When you work with her you can feel her energy, even if she’s tired she still has that slow burn which can be ignited into an inferno.
May these Tara statues give her the support to continue her Dharma work now and into the future, may Tara rain her blessing down on her.
Tara is probably the second most famous deity in Tibet behind Chenrezig. Tara practice can help us remove a lot of obstacles related to dharma work. She emanates in 21 forms, I know of a couple in Kechara who own all the 21 forms of Tara. May Datuk May purify many of her body karma and be healthy and fit for the work that she must undertake to build KWPC. Tara is also known as wish fulfilling and grants a wish especially the Green Tara form. Tibetan pray to her for removal of obstacles, to get spouse and even a child. Tara has vowed that she will emanate in female form to liberate sentient beings, as not many Buddhas emanate in a female form to liberate beings.
When we work at Kechara Saraswati Arts(KSA), we get to clean, paint and adorn the Buddha statues, it is work that can also help us purify the negativity of our bodies. If one is concerned about body karma collected in this life or previous existences then it is good for us to volunteer at KSA.
Tara is THE mother of all Buddha. How auspicious is it for Datuk May and her family for offering such GREAT BUDDHA to Rinpoche. I sincerely wish from the very BOTTOM OF MY HEART . I wish long life and good health to DATUK MAY. She is a very experienced and successful business woman yet she is so humble and caring that i felt so humble and happy to get to know Datuk May. ‘
I had the opportunity to carry the 63 Tara together with a few volunteers when it arrive in Ladrang to be offer to Rinpoche , ALL the Tara is really beautiful , really peaceful and serene looking. I am sure MOTHER TARA has blessed on DATUK MAY. I am confident.

I accompanied Datuk May on her ‘shopping’ trip to invite these beautiful Tara statues from our Kechara Paradise outlets. She was so easy, no fuss, what her beagle eyes saw she wanted. No asking of price or discount! And all in a day!
Tip: when we invite statues be it for our own or to give away as a puja, never ask for discount. This applies to dharma books, stupas or any representation of the Buddha’s body, speech and mind. Or it is like we want to collect merit but at a ‘discount.’
May Datuk May live long and continue to serve and practice the dharma in this life and all future lives.
That is a very good idea indeed, to sponsor statues for others during a birthday so that the merits from that would be continuous as whenever someone prays to the statue, the sponsor gets merits. And like what Rinpoche has mentioned in the Vajrayogini talk, “why not do something meaningful about your birth by offering statues!” Datuk May Png actualized the teaching! I really admire May Png’s Guru Devotion. She actually does it immediately without hesitating.
Perhaps i should start sponsoring statues starting with this birthday. After all, my life does need meaning and this is a way to give it some.
The generous and holy offering of Datuk May has 3 fold benefits: i) benefit to Datuk with the purification of her body karma, ii) benefit to the fortunate individuals/families who will receive the Tara images and iii) benefit to the Kechara Team in their progress as a platform for Dharma to spread in all ten directions.
This offering is another example of how, in giving to others, one can receive so much in return. Tsem Rinpoche reinforces this through his teaching on Dalai Lama’s birthday (6 July 2010, which will be uploaded in this blog) that one will become truly happy when one develops the habit of being selfless.
I cannot stop being awed by the skillful means in which Rinpoche helps his student overcome various obstacles while, simultaneously, turn the wheel of Dharma and plant the seeds of Dharma through gifts.

Datuk May is indeed the fearless and passionate crusader for Rinpoche and Kechara and I see in her the role model for the next generation of successive leaders to be groomed and continue the collective vision and mission for the years to come.
An epitome of ‘When the going gets tough, the tough gets going’, she has my respect for the ‘no nonsense’ leadership yet with a heart of Dharma.

Datuk May is the President of KH (http://www.kechara.com/kechara-house/about-us/our-team/). She joined us to do dharma work after she returned from the Nepal pilgrimage in 2008.
To new people , Datuk May may appear loud and uncompromising. However, when you get to know her longer, you’ll discover a soft heart underneath all the reinforced concrete.
Being an experienced and successful business woman , Datuk had done her “checking” before she took refuge from Rinpoche. After which, she practiced guru devotion sincerely.

Mother Tara is a Bodhisattva of compassion who manifests in female form. In Tibetan, Tara is known as “Dölma” (Sgrol-ma), or “She Who Saves.” In particular she represents compassion in action, since she’s in the process of stepping from her lotus throne in order to help sentient beings.. Her mantra is ‘Om Tare Tuttare Ture Svaha’
From my experience, in Kechara Paradise outlets Green tara is one of the most popular buddha statues that people have invited home in different size. Many of lady just like her even in their first time of seeing her. How wonderful that these 63 tara statue will b abided in different houses in Malaysia.

The green, swift and compassionate female Buddha Tara is the manifestation of enlightend activities of all Buddhas of the past, present and future of the ten directions. Her virtues are beyond compare when we are in need to accomplish important wishes in life. So much more when we’re in the Dharma. The Goddess tara will expedite all our Dharma aspirations to see its fruition.
In Tibet, China, Mongolia and other Buddhist countries, the Goddess Tara have benefitted many of the womensfolk by giving status of equality to the male dominant society. This is the spirit of equality of Buddhism as we see everyone as equal.
I rejoice in Datuk May’s generous offering of these 63 Tara statues to the Dharma. May She gain a long, healthy and stable life in order to fulfil her Dharmic needs to benefit many people in the future.

By this offering, may she have good health and long life and may her Dharma work grow to benefit many people. It’s great to know that there is always a method to purify different types of karma, in this case making or offering enlightened images to purify one’s body karma. We know that we have created negative body karma when we experience sickness and poor health which are obstacles to our Dharma practice. Knowing that there is a method to overcome this obstacles gives us hope and increase our conviction in the law of cause and effect that positive actions bring positive results.
I rejoice in Datuk’s virtuous offering of the 63 Taras which will go to the homes and shrines of many who will receive protection and blessings from Tara. This is one wonderful way to help bring people into Dharma through one’s generosity.It is said that giving protection to people is the cause for one to live long and have a healthy, violent free life in future rebirths.
Tara is a swift protector by virtue of her close connection to worldly beings when she manifested from a lotus which springs forth when a tear drop fell to earth from Avalokiteswara’s eye.
In this degenerate times, we all need to rely on Mother Tara’s great compassion to remove obstacles to our spiritual development.
