A surprising gift!

Mar 12, 2014 | Views: 464

I have varied interests that differ from each other greatly. Many of my blog readers know that one of my interest is in Bigfoot, Sasquatches and Yetis. For Christmas 2013, the team that is here with me in the States, surprised me with a gift of a Bigfoot foot cast! A genuine one!

Apart from working very hard alongside me here, they all took the time out to find a gift that they know I would love! I was pleasantly surprised to receive the gift, but was even more touched by their care. Now it’s been framed in my room always.

Thank you Pastor Jean Ai, Dato’ Ruby, JP Thong, Patsy Gooi, and Pastor Loh Seng Piow!

Tsem Rinpoche

The cast is from a footprint found in the Olympic Rainforest, in Washington state. The footprint is 16-inches long! Compare that to the size of an average shoe, and you can see how much bigger a Bigfoot’s foot really is!

A close-up of his feet.

You can see from this image the quality of the cast. It is made out of dental stone, and is quite fragile. It also has some dirt embedded in it and looks just like the casts the bigfoot hunters have!

This is the brochure that came with the gift. It explains where the footprint was casted, some of the background and also when the cast was made. The gift also came with six documentaries about Bigfoot which I am looking forward to watch.

VIDEO #1: Operation Discovery

Join the BRC as they take you on 3 different research expeditions which include:

  • British Columbia Canada’s Cariboo Mountains (Expedition Notes)
  • Washington States Northern Cascade Mountains
  • Washington States Olympic Queets River Rainforest

The BRC organization has developed the research industries most advanced remote video and audio monitoring system. A system that was designed to be installed and operated anywhere using stealth and all weather mode capabilities. The Cellular Field Surveillance System provides both HD video and 5.1 Dolby audio recorded data day or night via cellular technology. The system involves multiple camera sites that also have the ability to broadcast both vocalizations and fragrance attractants instantly and remotely with the push of a button from the team’s base camp miles away. Once in place this incredible system is capable of operating without human presence and contamination.

VIDEO #2: Sasquatch of Canada

For the first time ever, the Bigfoot Research Center travel to the secluded mountains of British Columbia Canada in search for Sasquatch. This incredible video documentary chronicles the one week expedition into several isolated locations bringing back startling new evidence. Several eye witness reports are investigated bringing investigators and trackers closer than ever before.

Observe the setup and operation of the teams latest video and audio monitoring system, a system that utilizes cellular technology for live recording. Witness the collection of authentic field evidence, and observe the results of the analysis.

This rare documentary will convince the disbelievers and astound the skeptics that a real and living unknown primate still inhabits North America.

Documentary also contains:

  • Nightime vocalizations caught on the teams monitoring system
  • Over 90 minutes of compelling research during the most intense expedition in the teams history
  • Trackers pursuing creatures several miles through the rugged old growth forests of British Columbia
  • Observe researchers casting Sasquatch footprints for analysis
  • Much more…

VIDEO #3: Operation: In Depth High Elevation Bigfoot Research

The Bigfoot Research Center go far into the interior of the Olympic Mountains bringing back incredible research footage. Filmed in High Definition this RARE video documentary chronicles the search for Bigfoot / Sasquatch in the rugged Olympic Mountains of the Pacific Northwest. Witness the incredible footage the Bigfoot Research Center recorded as they hiked deeper and higher into the Olympics during the early fall of 2008. Several expeditions prove the theory of a “Sasquatch migration route” that leads trackers from the high elevations to the rainforest lowlands.

Witness incredible footage of the team tracking an unknown primate and eventually catching up and getting amazing footage never before seen. Witness skilled wildlife trackers close in on, and film their progress in a move to prove the existance of Bigfoot.

VIDEO #4: SASQUATCH of the Olympic Mountains: Evidence Revealed

The Bigfoot Research Center present their third documentary. Three distinct study sites are the teams focus in the Olympic Mountains; they include the Quinault, Queets, and the Hoh Rainforest Valleys. Witness the incredible footage recorded in High Definition of the Pacific Northwest Rainforest.

Documentary also includes:

  • Mysterious rock pilings
  • Tree twist offs
  • Fresh foot prints tracked of a creature along a deep creek bottom
  • Interesting photos caught on our remote night vision cameras
  • Located nest sites
  • Creatures tracked through the rugged old growth forests
  • Much more…

VIDEO #5: In Pursuit of the Olympic Rainforest Sasquatch

Does Washington state’s Olympic Rainforest conceal an unknown primate? Our team, the Bigfoot Research Center, after much field research concluded, “yes.” After three years of research, the Bigfoot Research Center presented “In Pursuit of the Olympic Rainforest Sasquatch”.

This documentary was first filmed/produced in 2004 and finalized in 2006; a fascinating 3 year study. The study sites are located in three distinct rainforest valleys in the Olympic Mountains of Washington State. Come along as this Sasquatch/Bigfoot research group chronicle the expeditions from the Hoh, Queets and Quinault Rainforest valleys.

Watch members of the BRC attempt to track down and observe these incredible creatures within a unique and pristine rainforest environment. At one point in the documentary, members believe they get within 25 feet of a Sasquatch feeding in the lush vegetation of a creek bed. Excitement builds as mysterious wood knocking begins and later unknown whooping-type screams are heard from a second nearby creature. This documentary is filled with visual graphics, topographic maps, beautiful scenes and informative data.

Documentary also includes:

  • Foot Print Photos
  • Hand Print Photos
  • Audio/Video of Unknown Screams
  • Wood Knocking
  • Sasquatch Feeding Site
  • The entire “Wedekind Creek Footage”
  • Much more…

100% Digital video cameras recorded everything and they bring it all home to you in 5.1 dolby digital sound. This compelling documentary is a must have to anyone interested in the Sasquatch/Bigfoot phenomenon. Order Today and become a believer.

VIDEO #6: On the Track of the Pacific Northwest Sasquatch

Join the Bigfoot Research Center as they conduct extensive field research within Washington State’s Olympic Mountains! Experience the beauty and mystery surrounding Washington State’s Olympic Peninsula and a Rainforest as unique as the creature that inhabits it.

Documentary includes:

  • Sasquatch Tracks
  • Sasquatch Hand and Fist Impressions
  • Hair Sample (Authenticated by Dr. Henner Ferenbach Oregon State Primate Research Center)
  • Possible Sasquatch Droppings

Great gift for Xmas 🙂 very thoughtful of the team.

Just reading the descriptions of the videos already made the video irresistible. It is really amazing how BRC can spend so many years to research on Big Foot and prove its existence. I will very much love to see 1 up close 1 of these days…

    Thank you Rinpoche.

  3. Wan Wai Meng on Jun 1, 2014 at 2:55 am

Thank you very much to the US team for getting this lovely present. As always thank your Rinpoche for the yeti and bigfoot stories does make that much more interesting to know about such creatures living in the forests and jungles.

  4. Sean Wang on Apr 18, 2014 at 12:01 am

This cast seems to be very interesting. I am sure that bigfoot exists out there, somewhere. He is most probably as sentient as we are and pure so he does not want to come out and be corrupted by us. Also, humans would definitely exploit him when given the chance. I think that we should leave Bigfoot to his own devices and find him in a way that wouldn’t be intruding.

What a wonderful and amazing gift that Rinpoche’s team offered to Rinpoche!waw realy nice gift.

  6. Edward ooi on Mar 16, 2014 at 2:32 am

Dear Rinpoche, Pastor Jean Ai, Dato’ Ruby, JP Thong, Patsy Gooi, and Seng Piow are so thoughtful. I really want to see bigfoot with my own eyes and study them properly without hurting. And for some reasons there is a guy says that he wants to be the best bigfoot hunter in the world. Why should bigfoots die just because this guy wants to have fame?

  7. Beatrix Ooi on Mar 16, 2014 at 1:10 am

OMB! This is awesome! Rinpoche’s hardworking team in the US is really caring and thoughtful enough to present Rinpoche with this Bigfoot cast, I think it means a lot because it shows that they are not only hardworking people but also very kind people.

    • Ruby Khong on Mar 18, 2014 at 3:37 pm

It was hard to contain our excitement as we waited for the footprint to arrive. We ordered way before Christmas but it only arrived after that. Well, better late than never. It was actually Pastor Jean Ai’s idea.

  8. sarahyap on Mar 15, 2014 at 11:52 pm

Oh my goodness!!! Is that a genuine Bigfoot foot print mold???? This is amazing! I thought stuff like these are placed in the museum or something like that… The US team is really resourceful for being able to find something like this, it must be really rare and difficult to obtain.

  9. Nancy Loo on Mar 15, 2014 at 9:28 pm

The liaisons are indeed very thoughtful and sensitive to the peoples around them. They know what each individuals liking or what irks them. In this case , they immediately be able to relate to Rinpoche when they encounter this unusual item. By observing the liaisons’ actions, it will reflect on how Rinpoche teaches them to be conscious to others needs. Thank you Rinpoche for showing us the actual practice.

Thank you for sharing. The gift really “big”..the team really show the care and thoughtful.

I am a fan of Myth. i believe Big Foot and many others beings surviving in the same earth with us. Thank you for sharing your joy Rinpoche 🙂

If the Yeti were still around, the Washington state area would certainly be one of the prime places to look for it. Was lucky enough to have visited a friend in Seattle a long time ago and a bunch of us did go hiking in a national park nearby with hoagies tucked in our backpacks.

The rainforest here is extremely rich in flora/fauna and has abundant crystal-clear fresh water. Winter would certainly be mild enough for the Yeti to survive comfortably. Nice place for a Yeti to raise a family.

Now I know why that when I started upping the pace while on that hike (I was really, really enjoying the clean and oxygen-rich air), the group left me alone to venture up the peak. Unfortunately, no Yeti encounters to report, or is it just because I wasn’t looking?

Thank you Rinpoche and blog team for sharing this auspicious post with us. It is amazing that Kechara has the chance to make such offerings to the high lamas and monks in the monastery. This is a clear example of the generosity of Rinpoche that wishes each and every one of us to adopt.

Making offerings to the sangha is very meritorious and we can collect a lot of merit with such actions because we are directly supporting the growth of Dharma and those high lamas are Buddhas. Seeing such pictures warms my heart and I rejoice to see those happy faces of those monks who received those very much needed offerings.

Wow ….. there have been so many UFO sightings in so many different countries. There are altogether eight UFO sightings within 10 days witnessed by people across the globe. They saw shiny unidentified flying objects flying past in the sky as reported. Very interesting….. strange object sparked theories of possible extra terrestrial sightings and they do definitely exist after all. Many UFO sightings have been reported in the last decades yet scientist or researchers yet to confirm the details or evidence to proof it. But the strange sightings in different countries at the same month could not be wrong as we know “they’ have been watching at the earth from some where up there.
Thank you Rinpoche for this sharing …..simple amazing caught on camera by those eye witness.

There may have been a chance for a civilization to start billions of years before life began on Earth as discovered by scientists. Several discoveries and theories from some of the greatest minds in science point to the likelihood that there is something beyond out there in the universe. I do believe that we are not alone in the universe. Well, there many on going research that has taken place to look for signs of extra terrestrial life such as aliens. Scientist have been using telescope and specimen data to radios to detect and send communication signals. Currently, scientist do not have any evidence to support that aliens exist but the research work still going on with the discovery of a varieties of beings in the universal . Stories of the sighting of aliens and other species by eye witnesses yet to proof their existence. Researcher and scientists have not given up hope to research for evidence. Interesting read .
Thank you Rinpoche for this sharing.

Buddha Manjushri is very compassionate. He will manifest in the forms that can benefit us. In this case, he manifested as an enlightened Dharma protector to help us remove our obstacles so we can practise and have realiation on Buddha’s teachings.

I have read many stories about how Dorje Shugden has helped people including Tsem Rinpoche. Kechara is growing and flourishing because of the assistance from Dorje Shugden. As long as our motivation is right, Dorje Shugden will provide a conducive environment to fulfil our wishes.

A Personal Account of Events with My Teacher – Honouring the Potential in All Sentient Beings

Rinpoche’s bond with animals is even more palpable. Abandoned dogs find not only shelter but a loving home wherever Rinpoche is. Injured and unwanted birds find healing and a safe haven created to resemble their natural habitat. Fish are given clean, pure water and plenty of food. Even insects are not forgotten. Most important of all, their surroundings are designed to leave positive Dharma imprints in their mind streams and help them gain good rebirths.

    My mother’s White Tara

The previous Telo Rinpoche had lived in Mongolia and during the Communist upheaval in his country, he was imprisoned along with many other monks and religious figures. Telo Rinpoche prayed to this image of White Tara, which he had with him and in the middle of the night, his cell doors miraculously swung open and he was able to just walk out. Later, with the help of some American scientists, he escaped and travelled to the United States where he connected with the Mongolian-Kalmyk community there, which included my parents.

Stories from a Chela – Real Transformation

“Rinpoche’s drive to create a lasting mental change in a person’s life is nothing but pure compassion. Rinpoche certainly doesn’t get anything out of the person changing to become a better person, in fact, it often takes an emotional and physical toll on Rinpoche himself. Yet, Rinpoche goes out of his way to help his students and others to the best of his ability. Rinpoche does this in a number of ways, I’ll only touch on a few” ~ Pastor Niral Patel

Thank you for sharing this article on Lama Zopa and his view on Dorje Shugden practice. Lama Zopa himself has given up Dorje Shugden practice but he did not say other Lamas who are still practising Dorje Shugden is wrong.

I think Lama Zopa is trying to tell everyone it is important to follow the instruction of one’s guru. When we view our guru as a Buddha, he cannot be wrong. Therefore, whatever practice he gives us cannot be wrong. From our side, we have to follow the instruction diligently.

Wow…..interesting read and watch those videos. It might be scary to some. I always find stories related to ghost , paranormal and mysteries interesting even though at times scary too. In folklore, a ghost is the soul or spirit of a dead person or animal that can appear to the living. All cultures around the world after all do believe in spirits as that those unseen beings survive death to live in another lower realm. Yes I too believed they do exist, do no harm , they will also do harm to us. What we can do to help the unseen being is by doing prayers for them to set them free. Well despite the rise of science, social media and public education many still do believe that the presence of wandering ghosts during ghost month can cause accidents to the living.
Interesting watch , thank you for this sharing.

Wow …beautiful art paintings of Fasting Buddha Shakyamuni, Sujata and Dorje Shugden. Well painted with contrast color in painting. Buddha Shakyamuni founded Buddhism in ancient India more than 2,500 years ago. Attained enlightenment under the Bodhi tree in Bodhgaya where thousands of pilgrims will visit this Holy place year round. Here Buddha Shakyamuni is depicted with Sujata and Dorje Shugden as the fasting Buddha who had fasted for days before becoming enlightened.

Brahmarupa, a benign form of the wrathful deity Mahakala, is shown as a bearded nomadic ascetic. Mahakala Bramanarupa is one of over 70 different deities of the Mahakala type. It is a protector of the Sakya school of Tibetan Buddhism. Brahmarupa is in a form of Four-Faced Mahakala, propitiated by many high lamas, yogis and practitioners. Thanks for the sharing the wonderful experience with a lovely team who helped to achieve and successfully putting up Rinpoche blog. Great work, I have been reading a lot from them.

Childhood is the most innocent phase of an individual’s life. With the passage of time, it fades into adolescence and adulthood. Yet the sweet memories of childhood linger on. Memories get us through the hard days and keep us chipper in the good ones. The past is what makes us who we are. It shapes how we act, how we treat others, and simply just what we do on a day to day basis. Memories are the little things that keep this world running smoothly.

Childhood memories plays a very important role in our life, a lot of concern, a lot love and care. Every movements are wonderful and teaches us a beautiful journey of life.

The Unknown

The Known and unknown are both feared,
Known is being comfortable and stagnant,
The unknown may be growth and opportunities,
One shall never know if one fears the unknown more than the known.
Who says the unknown would be worse than the known?
But then again, the unknown is sometimes worse than the known. In the end nothing is known unless we endeavour,
So go pursue all the way with the unknown,
because all unknown with familiarity becomes the known.

    2 yearss ago
What the meat industry figured out is that you don't need healthy animals to make a profit.
Sick animals are more profitable... farms calculate how close to death they can keep animals without killing them. That's the business model. How quickly they can be made to grow, how tightly they can be packed, how much or how little can they eat, how sick they can get without dying... We live in a world in which it's conventional to treat an animal like a block of wood. ~ Jonathan Safran Foer
