12ft Lama Tsongkhapa arrives at Kechara!!!
(By Tsem Rinpoche)
Dear Friends,
Our New Kechara Gompa (Hall) will have three images. Centre and main piece will be Lord Tsongkapa (12ft). The left side Vajra Yogini(8ft) and the right side Setrap (8ft). Our new Gompa finishes in around three weeks time and it will seat 700 people. That will be on the first floor. There will be much office space and new dept space downstairs on the ground floor as well as a Dharma store. Very exciting. As I type this now, the experts are assembling the beautiful image of Lord Tsongkapa.
Remember to hear, recall, think of or even contemplate for a short while on Buddha Tsongkapa will earn one great merit and plant the seeds of enlightenment in your mind. Everyone in Kechara is so excited about the new Gompa and beautiful new images on the shrine. It was the hard work of the Liaisons and each depts staff that makes this happen. I rejoice in their actions. Kechara will get far and benefit many for sure.

I was giving a dharma talk, mentioning about what are the mantra and holy items to be inserted into the three new large statues in Kechara House new gompa. One of the items is thumb drives with millions and millions of Vajrayogini line drawing pictures and her holy mantra in Tibetan. (Imagine we can insert a lot of thumb drive and when people come to make offerings, prostrate, circumambulate, they can collect huge amount of merits for themselves and their love one!) We will of course insert the traditional mantras and wealth vases also, but millions of images of Tsongkapa, Vajra Yogini and Setrap will be inserted inside them were the thumbdrives/hard disks.
H.H. Kyabje Zong Rinpoche also wrote his name mantra and Vajra Yogini mantra with his own handsand gave to me over two and half decades back, I will duplicate those mantras and also insert by the millions. Imagine Vajra Yogini’s mantra written by Zong Rinpoche!!!!!! How powerful and blessed. Those coming to Kechara should always prostrate to these holy images with holy items inside of them. Purify your negative deeds and collect tremendous karma for success.
Then Little Sean suggested getting a hard disk so that it can store even more images and he promised to offer one to be inserted into 8ft Vajrayogini in new gompa. Sean kept his promise and bought a 1 TB hard disk (about 1000 GB) for the statue!
A thoughtful and intelligent young Sean!Sean is the FIRST PERSONto offer a hard disk or thumbdrive to be inserted into the holy statues!! Great for you Sean.

Great! I will prostrate to these 3 statues when I visit Kechara (not sure when, might be a few decades from now, hopefully sooner, but Kechara is on my Pilgrimage list of Sacred Buddhist places to visit).

When the first time i step in to Kechara House Gompa back in December 2012, the 3 main buddha statues are already there. I really appreciate Rinpoche my seniors that make all these things happen. Without their effort and hard work, we wont have chance to do prayer in such a nice gompa, in front of three Great Buddhas!!
I do hope that in the future we will have our own 21 Tara chapel too.
can we also include soft-copy of many Sutra teachings by Buddha, example Heart Sutra, Lotus Sutra, etc. and Lama Tsong Khapa’s teachings, example Lamrim Chenmo and The Great Exposition of Secret Mantra, and many commentaries Tsong Khapa had wrote and taught? Also, can include Tsem Rinpoche’s teachings published in books and in youtube too?
I love the idea of hard-disk and thumb-drive.
Storing all this precious teachings and informations, this remind me of time capsule. ^__^ I love it.
Litte did the workers that transported, unload and assembled the 3 body parts of the 10ft Tsongkapa statue can also gain them merits. They may think it as a work or a job to be done to earn a living. Sean came into Kechara as baby kecharian. I remember he use to ask Rinpoche a lot of intelligent questions during Dharma talks. Sean was only eight years old if I am right at that time. Most children would be afraid and shy. But Sean was not. He is even training to be an umze for pujas now. Who knows he may be one of Kechara’s Dharma teacher in KWPC in the future. He has been very well brought up by his mother the Dharma way.
Teens nowadays are pre occupied with which gadget they should spend their pocket money on. Instead, Sean has put into practice what he has learnt, do it and not just talk about it. Esp like his confession of his previous motivation in life to his new daily commitment. A young mind transformed and benefitted. Thank you Sean for taking the lead. May you always be blessed and your aspirations be achieved.
It’s amazing to see the new statue for our new Gompa. I’ve been looking at old photos of Kechara and I have seen our Kechara House Lama Tsongkhapa statue ‘grow’ over the years! And Lama Tsongkhapa will keep growing…
Sean was quite excited about the hard disk. He kept asking when I could take him shopping for it, and finally I took him after Manjushri class on Sunday. He looked around for quite a long time to see which was the best one, and there were cheaper hard disks but they were bigger in size and he thought that it would be better if it was smaller so we could fit more in. He paid for it with his own money too. So i am very happy for him because he will be blessed with much merit and also because I can see that through Rinpoche’s teachings, he is learning how to prioritise and know what is important.
Thank you Rinpoche for Rinpoche’s blessings always.
Love
Sharon
