20 Pounds of Poison

Aug 6, 2015 | Views: 1,175

I found this illuminating article explaining how much ‘poison’ we actually store in our bodies because we don’t consume the right foods or drinks to cleanse it! If you have never had a detox session before, then it is highly likely that your body contains a lot of ‘poison’ which is bad for your health.

This article tells you how having these toxins in your body can affect your health. It also offers simple solutions for you to eliminate them from your body.

Do put in some time and effort to take good care of your body – it is the vehicle that your mind inhabits in this life, and when one has good health, one is able to do more to benefit others.

You Have About 20 Pounds Of Poison In Your Colon – Here is What You Can Do!

The colon has one of the most important roles in the human body. It maintains the water balance in the organism, regulates your immune system and helps in the digestive process. For a functioning and healthy body, the colon is a vital part. The toxic waste will not be removed from the body – it will be absorbed by the wall of the colon, if the colon is not working properly.

24 hours are needed for food to transit through your body. Processed foods that lack nutrients, fibers and enzymes slow down the process to 70 hours. The final result of this unpleasant situation is 30 pounds of accumulated waste.

The condition called constipation is the most common sign of waste in your body. You will have painful or infrequent elimination of the waste material during constipation.

Symptoms of a toxic colon:

  • Immune system: Skin rashes, bladder or recurrent vaginal infections, weak immune system
  • Behavioral symptoms: Poor memory, mood swings, grain fog, anxiety, fatigue, depression
  • General health: Muscle pain, joint pain
  • Digestive symptoms: Stomach pain, indigestion, gas, diarrhea, bloating, constipation.

The master cleanse program was developed in 1940 by Stanley Burroughs – alternative health practitioner. The process takes 10-16 days for total cleansing of organism.

Ingredients:

  • Ten ounces of filtered water
  • 1/10 tsp cayenne pepper powder
  • 2 tbsp of organic maple syrup – Grade B
  • ½ freshly squeezed lemon

Instructions:

The preparation of this powerful remedy is really easy. You only have to mix all the ingredients and to consume the mixture for at least 10 days – 5-8 times a day.

Essential oils are the best support in the detoxification process of the body. The nutrients presented in the oils are readily assimilated on a cellular level.

Ingredients:

  • 10 drops each peppermint and lemon essential oils
  • 1 freshly squeezed organic lemon

Instructions:

You should combine the mixture with 8 ounces of water and consume it for two weeks. Remove the toxic waste and feel the difference in your body.

I’m not sure if this really works? Perhaps someone can share more from their own experiences. Recently, I read a few articles talking about colorectal cancer and the cases are on the rise, especially in men.

Speaking about colon, it reminds me of the Mahayana vows that I’ve taken before, whereby we can only take one meal daily. I think it’s absolutely great to integrate fasting or perhaps one meal per day programme from time to time. I felt lighter in that sense and more energized with less sleep too.

Surprise to know our colon contain of poison due to unbalance diet of food intake. It really true, our body is often conceded toxins as a result of an unhealthy food consumed. However i think it is best to keep a food journal correctly to maintain and track our food intake.

It is really important to eliminate waste from your body every day to maintain a good lifestyle and stay healthy. Hoping to keep the simple ingredients in mind and help many to keep their colon healthy.

Thank you very much for the article sharing a great fact that we need to take it
    seriously to save life.

Shocking, 20 pounds of poison ! I shall try the recipe above. I agree that when our body carries so much toxin, we will never get healthy and cannot absorb the nutrients. So eat well, drink more water and maintain a healthy and balance life style.

  7. Navina on Jul 21, 2016 at 5:13 pm

That is the reason why it is better to cook at home instead of going to a restaurant every day. You know what’s in your food and you can eat healthy.

This is an interesting video of different conditions of the colon based on the person’s diet and lifestyle. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=han3AfjevOc

According to Dr Shinya, what we eat is what we become. Knowing what to eat is important. The video shows how high animal protein and dairy diets have an adverse effect on our colon. Some who are suffering from cancer have very clogged up colon.

Another fast method to cleanse the colon is by colon hydrotherapy. A friend of mine owns a wellness centre that does this treatment. She and her husband tell me that the 5 day program is very effective. One can feel the result immediately after the 5 day program. All the body aches and pains, lethargy, headaches and skin problems disappear. This is their website http://www.purehealth.com.my/

It is true processed food is really unhealthy for us in the long run. One of the kind of food I have eaten that is very good for the body, mind is macrobiotic food.

I felt so much energy when ate macrobiotic food.

I have read many other articles about the importance of detox and they all make sense. We consume so much toxins from chemicals used in our food that our health is greatly affected in the long run. Without good health and a clear mind, it will be very difficult to live our life to our fullest potential. I believe a detox once a year to clear our system of toxins would be very beneficial. Below is an overview of detoxifying from a health website which is very helpful for beginners.

    —————————————————-

Feeling sluggish or out of sync? Struggling with skin problems, aches and pains, or digestive problems? Can’t seem to lose weight? It might be time for a body detox.

Practiced for centuries by cultures around the world — including ayurvedic and Chinese medicine systems — detoxification is about resting, cleaning and nourishing the body from the inside out. By removing and eliminating toxins, then feeding your body with healthy nutrients, detoxifying can help protect you from disease and renew your ability to maintain optimum health.

    How does detoxification work?

Basically, detoxification means cleaning the blood. This is done by removing impurities from the blood in the liver, where toxins are processed for elimination. The body also eliminates toxins through the kidneys, intestines, lungs, lymph and skin. However, when this system is compromised, impurities aren’t properly filtered and every cell in the body is adversely affected.

A detox program can help the body’s natural cleansing process by:

    1. Resting the organs through fasting;
    2. Stimulating the liver to drive toxins from the body;
    3. Promoting elimination through the intestines, kidneys and skin;
    4. Improving circulation of the blood; and
    5. Refueling the body with healthy nutrients.

“Detoxification works because it addresses the needs of individual cells, the smallest units of human life,” says Peter Bennett, N.D., co-author of 7-Day Detox Miracle with Stephen Barrie, N.D., and Sara Faye.

How do you know if you need to detoxify?

Bennett suggests that everyone should detox at least once a year. However, Bennett cautions against detoxing for nursing mothers, children, and patients with chronic degenerative diseases, cancer or tuberculosis. Consult your health care practitioner if you have questions about whether detoxing is right for you.

Today, with more toxins in the environment than ever, “it’s critical to detox,” says Linda Page, N.D., Ph.D., the author of Detoxification. Page recommends detoxing for symptoms such as:

    Unexplained fatigue
    Sluggish elimination
    Irritated skin
    Allergies
    Low-grade infections
Puffy eye or bags under the eyes
    Bloating
    Menstrual problems
    Mental confusion

How do you start a detox?

First, lighten up your toxin load. Eliminate alcohol, coffee, cigarettes, refined sugars and saturated fats, all of which act as toxins in the body and are obstacles to your healing process. Also, minimize use of chemical-based household cleaners and personal health care products (cleansers, shampoos, deodorants and toothpastes), and substitute natural alternatives.

Another deterrent to good health is stress, which triggers your body to release stress hormones into your system. While these hormones can provide the “adrenaline rush” to win a race or meet a deadline, in large amounts they create toxins and slow down detoxification enzymes in the liver. Yoga, Qigong and meditation are simple and effective ways to relieve stress by resetting your physical and mental reactions to the inevitable stress life will bring.

Which detox program is right for you?

There are many detoxification programs and detox recipes, depending on your individual needs. Many programs follow a 7-day schedule because, as Bennett explains, “it takes the body time to clean the blood.” His program involves fasting on liquids for two days, followed by a carefully-planned five-day detox diet to allow the digestive system to rest. Page recommends a 3-7 day juice fast (drinking only fresh fruit and vegetable juices and water) as an effective way to release toxins.

Here are our five favorite detox diets:
    1. Simple Fruit and Veggie Detox
    2. Smoothie cleanse
    3. Juice Cleanse
    4. Sugar Detox
    5. Hypoallergenic Detox

Top 10 ways to help your body detoxify

After a detoxification program, you can cleanse your body daily with these diet, supplements and lifestyle practices:

    1. Eat plenty of fiber, including brown rice and organically-grown fresh fruits and vegetables. Beets, radishes, artichokes, cabbage, broccoli, spirulina, chlorella, and seaweed are excellent detoxifying foods.

    2. Cleanse and protect the liver by taking herbs such as dandelion root, burdock and milk thistle, and drinking green tea.

    3. Take vitamin C, which helps the body produce glutathione, a liver compound that drives away toxins.

    4. Drink at least two quarts of water a day.

    5. Breathe deeply to allow oxygen to circulate more completely through your system.

    6. Transform stress by emphasizing positive emotions.

    7. Practice hydrotherapy by taking a very hot shower for five minutes, allowing the water to run on your back. Follow with cold water for 30 seconds. Do this three times, and then get into bed for 30 minutes.

    8. Sweat in a sauna so your body can eliminate wastes through perspiration.

    9. Dry-brush your skin or try detox foot spas/foot baths to remove toxins through your pores. Special brushes are available at natural products stores.

    10. What is the most important way to detoxify? “Exercise,” says Bennett. “Yoga or jump-roping are good. One hour every day.” Also try Qigong, a martial-arts based exercise system that includes exercises specifically for detoxifying or cleansing, as well as many other exercises with specific health benefits

Thank you for this post. I went on this detox program and it was one of the most rewarding and empowering experience because it reveals how productive our body is (our body needs very little to function well) and how learning to manage our minds, we are able to uphold discipline to embrace the detox program by training our mind to direct its focus and concentration power.

From this post, I also learn that we are what we eat and when we look at the shopping cart, we are fundamentally looking at a summary of our health in the form of tangible products. So, what should we eat?

I think a good guideline is to eat naturally instead of eating processed. Food that grow from our earth naturally are products that we should be consuming at that point in time/season.

This is why it is so important for us to ReConnect with nature as she will guide us to keep our body, mind and soul well.

Found some other methods and remedies for colon cleansing that we can choose to suit our lifestyle… Hope they’ll help 🙂

Here are the top 10 home remedies for colon cleansing. Before starting any colon cleansing program, consult your doctor for proper guidance, especially if you are taking any medications or suffering from any health condition.

    1. Water
For colon cleansing, the best thing you can do is drink plenty of water. It is essential to drink at least 10 to 12 glasses of water in a day. Regular consumption of water will give your body the liquid and lubrication required to flush out the harmful toxins and waste from the body in a natural manner.

Drinking plenty of water will also stimulate the natural peristaltic action, helping the food to move through the digestive system. Also, water is essential to keep your body well hydrated. Along with water, you can also drink fresh fruit and vegetable juices.

    2. Apple Juice
Fresh apple juice is one of the best home remedies for colon cleansing. Drinking apple juice regularly encourages bowel movements, breaks down toxins and improves the health of liver as well as the digestive system. Freshly squeezed apple juice provides the best results, but if it is not available, you can use packaged organic apple juice.

Start your day with one glass of unfiltered apple juice.
After 30 minutes, drink one glass of water.
Repeat this routine several times throughout the day and continue for three days. In between, you can also drink one glass of prune juice. When following this remedy, it is advisable to avoid solid foods.
    3. Lemon Juice
Lemon has antioxidant properties and its high vitamin C content is good for the digestive system. Hence, lemon juice can be used for colon cleansing.

Mix the juice of one lemon, a pinch of sea salt and a little honey in a glass of lukewarm water. Drink this solution on an empty stomach in the morning. This will help you to enjoy more energy, better bowel movement and better skin condition.
Add two tablespoons of fresh-squeezed lemon juice to a glass of apple juice. Drink it three or four times a day. This will thin out the mucous in the bowel.
Follow either of these remedies for a few days.

    4. Raw Vegetable Juice
For colon cleansing, it is essential to keep away from processed and cooked food for one or two days. Instead of solid food, drink fresh vegetable juice several times a day. Green vegetables, in particular contain chlorophyll that helps remove toxins. Also, the vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and enzymes present in it will keep your body healthy and well energized. You can also drink herbal teas.

It is advisable not to use ready-made vegetable juices as they do not contain the effective enzymes that help your body break down and remove waste products. You can easily make fresh vegetable juice from carrots, beets, corn, squash, spinach, kale, etc. at home using a juicer or blender.

    5. Fiber-rich Foods
Eating foods rich in fiber will help cleanse the colon of the harmful toxins. Fiber helps keep the stools soft and improve the bowel movement, which ultimately encourages the body to expel waste products. At the same time, fiber-rich foods will also help get rid of any kind of intestinal problem.

You can add a lot of fiber into your diet by eating fresh fruits like raspberries, pears and apples, as well as fresh vegetables like artichokes, peas and broccoli. Cereals, whole grains, nuts, beans and seeds also contain a good amount of fiber.

    6. Yogurt
Eating fresh yogurt on a regular basis is a good way to keep the colon healthy. Being a probiotic food, yogurt, especially the one with live and active cultures, will introduce “good” bacteria into the gut that promote digestion. It will also combat inflammatory bowel diseases.

Plus, it contains a good amount of calcium that discourages the growth of cells lining the colon. The intestine-friendly yogurt also solves various stomach problems such as indigestion, flatulence, irregular bowel movements and lots more.

You can eat yogurt as it is or add some fresh fruit such as apples, limes, bananas and berries.

    7. Flaxseed
Flaxseed is a good source of omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidants and natural fibers, thus adding flaxseed to your diet is a great way to cleanse your colon. Flaxseed will absorb water and expand in the colon, and will assist in removing toxins and mucus as the waste matter passes through. In addition, flaxseed will help prevent cancer, heart disease and diabetes.

You can add ground flaxseeds to cereal, yogurt, fruit and other healthy foods. For faster results, add one tablespoon of ground flaxseed to a glass of water and drink it 30 minutes before eating your breakfast and before going to bed.

    8. Sea Salt
Another effective ingredient for colon cleansing is sea salt, thanks to its detoxifying properties.

Mix one tablespoon of sea salt in a glass of drinking water and boil it. Drink this solution warm or cold, first thing in the morning.
Wait for a few minutes, and then lie down and massage your stomach down to your colon area in a gentle manner. This will stimulate your bowel movement and help remove harmful toxins, accumulated fecal matter, regular feces, parasites and bacteria from the digestive tract.
Do this up to five times a month.
As this solution can cause diarrhea, it is essential to drink plenty of water and frsh juices throughout the day. Avoid taking this remedy if your suffer from high blood pressure or have a heart condition.

    9. Aloe Vera
Aloe vera is known for its detoxification abilities and acts as a laxative, hence it is regarded as an effective colon cleanser. The medicinal properties present in aloe vera gel will not only improve your colon health, but it will also treat other health problems like headaches, skin infections, diarrhea, gastric pain and constipation.

Add the juice of one lemon to fresh aloe vera gel and put the mixture in a blender to make a few ounces of smooth juice.
Keep this juice in the refrigerator for two to three hours.
Drink it several times a day for a few days.

    10. Ginger
Ginger is a readily available ingredient that can help reduce bloating and stimulate colon functioning and keep it free from waste and harmful toxins. It aids digestion by stimulating the secretion of digestive juices.

You can take ginger in any form such as grated, juice or cut pieces for colon cleansing.
One good option is to mix one teaspoon of ginger juice juice and one-quarter cup of lemon juice to twp cups of hot water. You can also a little honey for taste. Divide the solution into two or three parts and drink throughout the day.
You can also add ginger to herbal tea.
Note: Ginger is not recommended for women who are pregnant.

To conclude, these effective colon cleansing home remedies will help you enjoy a healthy digestive system. Keeping your colon healthy is an important part of maintaining overall good health.

Hey everyone, I hope you’re all doing great! I wanted to share a truly incredible journey that I’ve been on recently. You see, few months ago, my marriage hit a really rough patch. It was a time filled with confusion, heartbreak, and a lot of searching for answers. I looked into so many different places for help, hoping to find someone who could guide me through this difficult time. I reached out to friends, family, and even sought advice from professionals, but unfortunately, nothing seemed to be working. It felt like I was hitting dead ends at every turn. But then, one day, while I was surfing the internet, feeling a bit lost and unsure of what to do next, I stumbled upon something truly remarkable. It was the good work of a spell caster called Priest AZ. His effective love spell stories and positive impact he had made in the lives of others with his powerful love spell caught my attention. Intrigued and hopeful, I decided to reach out to Priest AZ for help. And let me tell you, that decision changed everything. Priest AZ’s Love-Spell were like a beacon of light during my darkest days. He helped me navigate the complexities of my situation. He helped me solved the underlying issues in my marriage with his effective and powerful love spell. In just a short time the results were surprising, my husband called me in less than 24hrs after the love-spell and he was apologizing for me to accept him back and definitely I accepted him back. . It wasn’t an easy journey, I’ll admit. There were moments of doubt and uncertainty along the way. But with the unwavering help of Priest AZ, Through the love spell, my husband and I were able to reignite the love that brought us together, and ultimately restore our marriage. My name is Max Kai, and I’m from the USA. I was deeply in love with a woman, and even after I found out she was cheating on me, I still wanted to make things work. Unfortunately, she chose to stay with the person she cheated with, and that broke me. About six weeks later, I came across a post on a relationship forum about a spell caster named Dr. Masako who helps people reconnect with lost love through love spells. With nothing left to lose, I decided to reach out to him via WhatsApp and shared my story. To my surprise, within just 24 hours, Dr. Masako helped bring my ex back into my life and now, we’re engaged and planning our wedding. I honestly didn’t expect this to work, but it did. If you’re going through something similar and need help getting your ex back, I highly recommend contacting Dr. Masako. You can reach him on WhatsApp at +2349047144277, email him at doctormasako@gmail.com, or visit his website: doctormasako2.wixsite.com/drmasakospelltemple

Well thought out article where Rinpoche gave a precious teaching. Encourage us to go vegetarian showing compassion to all sentient beings by not causing suffering or death. To make a conscious effort to avoid contributing to the suffering and death of animals is the best choice. Going vegetarian in Buddhism is a choice motivated by compassion. I do agree with Rinpoche that we should not be too attached to meat. Very true there is nothing to lose by going vegetarian. What enlightened and attained beings do we can’t , we follow the conventional way .
Thank you Rinpoche for all these precious teaching

Miyolangsangma is the Tibetan Buddhist goddess who lives at the top of Chomolungma . She is the goddess of inexhaustible giving and of Everest and the Khumbu area in general. She rides a golden tigress and hands out the jewels of wishes to those deserving.
Mount Everest, at 8,848.86 meters , is the highest mountain on Earth and presents one of the ultimate challenges for climbers. Climbers scaling Mount Everst involves navigating extreme altitude, severe weather conditions will stop by at Tengboche Monastery . They will seek blessing from Lama Geshe a Buddhist monk, known for blessing climbers by reciting a mantra to Miyolangsangma. Climbers will be given a talisman containing Miyolangsangma’s mantra, to be worn around the neck for protection while scaling Mount Everest. That’s awesome.
    Thank you Rinpoche for sharing.

The Faroe Islands a volcanic are a self-governing archipelago, located between Iceland and Norway and part of the Kingdom of Denmark. As part of a tradition dolphins were slaughtered mercilessly. The killing of dolphins in Denmark refers to the traditional Grindadráp hunts which has been going on for hundred years. Each year, locals in the North Atlantic’s Faeroe Islands drive herds of sea mammals into shallow waters, where they are stabbed to death. In keeping with the annual, barbaric tradition of killing dolphins, thousands of these mammals were killed. Whales and several dolphin species are herded by boats into shallow bays or onto beaches. According to the animal rights activist, back then, this hunt was necessary for the survival of the villages. Looking at those pictures shows dolphins thrashing around in waters turned red with blood as hundreds of people watch on from the beach.
The practice of dolphin hunting in the Faroe Islands has come under scrutiny recently. Its really cruel , hopefully more people are aware of this cruel practice and abandoned . Moreover soon or later dolphins will be extinct.
Thank you Rinpoche for this sharing.

DATUK YIP KUM FOOK AND SIMON LOW KOK MENG are scammers because they defrauded IC people in Malaysia, and many people have been victims before. They are scammed everywhere, and they are also gangsters in the Kepong area. Now, many people have found and checked their families, and people are spreading it on the internet.

One of them is Ng Hong Seong, the victim. He suffered because he gave his National Identity Card to Datuk Yip Kum Fook to find a job. Many police officers and some gangsters contacted him about finances to borrow money from various banks. Datuk Yip Kum Fook used the police to harass people.

Now, many people know about this group (Yip Kum Fook & Simon Low) because they were expelled by Buddhist monks from the Buddhist Temple in Taman Desa Jaya, Kepong, and burned down the Hindu Temple in Taman Daya, Kepong.

We hope everyone can share this message fully to stop this evil in this world. They need to know that people are very sad and scared.

    From Ng, Kepong

Mount Wutai is a sacred Buddhist site and is the abode of Manjushri and is a sacred Buddhist mountain with five peaks, and is one of four great sacred mountain in China Located at the headwaters of the Qingshui in Shanxi Province China. Mount Wutai is a World heritage site well known for both its geological and scenic natural landscapes, and cultural heritage. It boasts of over 68 different styles of temples built over 7 dynasties housing numerous Buddhist relics . Temples have been built on this site from the 1st century AD to the early 20th century. The temples are inseparable from their mountain landscape a cultural tradition that is still living. I am fortunate able to go there years back with Kechara a pilgrimage life time experience for me.

Wow….amazing Bao’en Temple an ancient temple in the remote hill located in Pingwu County, in north-western Sichuan Province, China . It’s a well-preserved fifteenth-century Buddhist temple which has such a unique shockproof against earthquake. Not only one earthquake but three with researcher credit to the building’s design and using Phoebe nanmu wood used for its construction. All the architecture reflects the architecture of imperial Palace. A well-preserved 15th-century Buddhist temple considered a national treasure, an architectural gem and a preserved cultural site. Dedicated to the Emperor Yingzong in the Ming Dynasty featuring an exquisite architectural elements and treasures of 1,004-armed Avalokiteshvara statue and a revolving prayer wheel. That’s awesome, looking at those pictures in the post.

As we serve others we are working on ourselves, every act of compassion naturally nourishes our own hearts as well. Beautiful paintings explaining about the life of Lama Tsongkapa. That’s great sharing more readers will get to know and understand Lama Tsongkapa the great Tibetan Buddhist monk, philosopher and tantric yogi. Reading his brief biography and his great life story in 15 beautiful and meaningful paintings. Fortunate to practice the Guru Yoga of Lama Tsongkhapa as it is a short, profound and concise practice which has vast, innumerable benefits. This very powerful, yet accessible practice as it does not require initiation or empowerment. Looking at those beautiful thangka as in this blog is a blessing.

Inspiring teachings from Pabongka Rinpoche. Taking refuge in Tibetan Buddhism is the foundation of all Buddhist practice, marking the entrance to the path by committing to the Three Jewels . It is a profound and active process of seeking protection from suffering by consciously adopting a Buddhist direction in life. The act of going for refuge marks the point where we decides to take the Dharma as the primary guide to the conduct in one’s life. Taking refuge is a form of aspiration, leading us a life with the Triple Gem at its core.
Thank you Rinpoche for this profound teachings.

The Unknown

The Known and unknown are both feared,
Known is being comfortable and stagnant,
The unknown may be growth and opportunities,
One shall never know if one fears the unknown more than the known.
Who says the unknown would be worse than the known?
But then again, the unknown is sometimes worse than the known. In the end nothing is known unless we endeavour,
So go pursue all the way with the unknown,
because all unknown with familiarity becomes the known.
~Tsem Rinpoche

What the meat industry figured out is that you don't need healthy animals to make a profit.
Sick animals are more profitable... farms calculate how close to death they can keep animals without killing them. That's the business model. How quickly they can be made to grow, how tightly they can be packed, how much or how little can they eat, how sick they can get without dying... We live in a world in which it's conventional to treat an animal like a block of wood. ~ Jonathan Safran Foer
