LOOK OUT FOR NINA!
The picture above is of a 7 month old pitbull named Nina. Prior to 21 July 2013, she was safe and sound, in the loving home of J.R. Reynolds in Petal, Mississipi. She was kidnapped from her outdoor playpen within her owner’s yard…
This picture was sent to Mr Reynolds just a few days ago by the culprit who stole Nina from her playpen… how cruel to torment the owner and put such huge heavy chains on a puppy.
Please share this story with everyone you know… We never know if there may be people who will recognize this place and be able to save Nina from a terrible fate of being left out there all alone, or worst, kidnapped to be used in a puppy mill or in illegal dog fighting activities.

UPDATE
On 9 September 2013, a fellow blogger updated on doggirlpitbull.com that the Sheriff’s department still doesn’t have any information relating to Nina:
Sheriff’s department has no update on Nina the chained pit bull in the woods
The country sheriff’s department promised to contact the original owner, J. R. Reynolds July 26, but no word has been received regarding contact. No word has been received about Nina’s welfare, although Dogs Deserve Better posted a notice on their Facebook page that Nina was in the care of some third party.
In light of the horrible abuse sweeping the nation, care by some third party is not comforting.
I placed another call today with Purvis County Sheriff’s Department at 601-544-7800 only to get the same story, that Nina is in the care of some third party. If this third party is responsible for the chain around Nina’s neck, then something certainly must be done.
I asked the sheriff’s department to call J. R. Reynolds again and left my phone number so that we can attempt to trace Nina’s whereabouts.

Nina is safe with some third party. If this is fact, where are photos of Nina off the chain and in her safe new whereabouts?

It is sheer cruelty for the person/people to have robbed Nina of her happy family and tormented her owners by sending Reynolds photo of Nina tied in the woods after being kidnapped. Hope the authorities are able to find the culprits and bring Nina home.
This is so horrible, how can this happen and who would do such a cruel thing? If this person is asking for ransom that is so horrible I mean what did the dog do? Also if the person is just taunting that is so horrible too. The owner could be so sad and worried but this horrible person doesn’t care. If this owner is the right kind of dog owner then he is devastated because he just lost one of his family members and that is the correct bond you should have with animals.
I hope Nina is returned and no harm comes to her because she is innocent and I am sure that the owner misses her and t is just so cruel how people can do this, with the animal and taunting. It is just horrible because people can be so cruel and they think it is less bad if they do horrible things to a animal than to a human because the animal is the one enduring physical pain probably so that shows how people see animals as weaker. That statement might be unclear but just think about it.
Crazy people are all around the world now, Nina’s owner must be really sad, its like her baby got stolen, the thief is really brainless, why do you steal someone’s dog and make her life miserable? Isn’t your life pathetic enough? I really hope that Nina is found and that she is safe now, away from the hands of the sick people.
Nina look so sad and fear, awaiting someone come and rescue her… may Nina free from suffering and have a great future. Don’t hurt animals, they have feeling too, we just don’t understand their language…
Poor Nina, may she be safe and free of torture and all kind of suffering.

The psycho thief or whoever that person is, he’s out of his mind. Who would steal someone else’s dog, put a heavy chain on it’s neck(or do something even more inhumane), then send it’s owner this kind of sick update? I mean, if you kidnap the dog, why would you still send messages that would worry the owner? The dog is just a dog, if there was something happening between the culprit and the owner, he really should not take it on the dog, the dog is innocent.
Animals should not be an object for human to release their anger, frustration or any bad feelings and emotion. The puppy is really innocent as she does not even understand why she is being treated in such a hard, cruel way. May the puppy gain more happiness in this life and all her future lifetimes. Let the puppy be free from all sufferings and pain.

Dear Rinpoche, I think the person who kidnapped Nina must have hated the owner. But it is also not fair to do that, I mean if the person hates the owner that badly then why don’t he do it to him? It’s totally not fair for the dog to be treated that way because Nina couldn’t have done anything that would made the person that angry. I hope Nina would be rescued safely.
This is terrible. I hope that they have found her and returned her to their owner. I am always sad when things like this happen, i would sometimes think to myself “why would people do this, why are people so mean to animals?”. This has to change now. I hope that Nina is found soon.
Stealing someone’s pet dog and chaining him outdoor is the kind doing from person who find happiness in tormenting others and animals. This is equivalent to kidnapping your loves and sending a photo of him or her being tormented.

Yes, it will be a pity if Nina is not found before something happens to her.It’s only a person with a sick mind that will remove a well-loved being from the comforts of its home and ‘throw’ it to the wilderness.I hope there are alert people around who will trace her to where she is. I lit a candle for her and offered it up to Lord Tsongkhapa for her safety.
Taking pleasure in another person’s suffering, this is plain HATRED!
Truly sad to have read about it. My only concern now is hopefully she didn’t end up in the dog fight arena that they will subject to more pain and mental abuse!

Poor little dogie… pray that Nina will be rescued and be reunited with her owner soonest possible and the kidnapper will be caught and punished.
This is really a sad new that Nina is kidnapped.

Why torture poor Nina? why used such cruelty method and even torture the owner? ,sincerely wishing that Nina can be found and rescue .
This is so sickening! Must be the work of some sick person who is insane and heartless! Poor Nina traumatized with such bad experience. I pray that she is rescued soon and returned to her owner.
Kidnapping the dog is already devastating news for the owner but this person here even sent a photo of the dog being chained in the woods to the owner. How much more harm will this person do to the cute little dog? Sincerely hope the dog can be united with its owner.

The person who kidnap Nina is really sick. What was the intention of sending the picture to its owner?Is it to torment the owner or is there another agenda to his action. What ever the reason was, they should not vent their frustration of sick pleasure on another living being.
Please return Nina to it rightful owner.
The person who did this is a very sick and sadistic person. It is so sad to see that there are people like this. WHY? I hope that the culprit will be caught.

我自己也是爱狗之人，我也感同身受。自己心爱的宠物被偷了，而且还有可能被虐待或是被不法之徒利用为生财工具。。。。真的很难过，希望 Nina 可以早日回到主人身边。
It is just upsetting that people can just capture this small little puppy like that. I guess cannot imagine what must be going through little Nina’s mind, the kind of fear she must have. It is just upsetting that people do this for their “fun”.
What a sick thing to do! Why torture the dog when it is really the owner that they are targeting? This is just typical of people who already use the vulnerability of animals as scapegoats for their anger and revenge. Animals may not be able to defend themselves and exact revenge but karma is not blind or forgiving of our sins. Perhaps, the abused animals were once the abusers in a previous life. The karma returns full circle. However, the ability to perceive the harm from abusing and exploiting animals requires a special wisdom not many have.
I echo what you say here. Except I have one word to add; Sadist! Only a sick person would take it out on another being who is incapable of defending himself let alone express in words and seek help.
I would add another 2 words… “low life”!!! How low can a human being be… well this low to take it out on the innocent and torture another being out of vengeance! These are times, i know I’m not suppose to think like that, but you would wish the karma of these low life people will return swiftly to them.
To abuse another that is weak, that cannot call out for help is the lowest of them all. I hope for some miracle Nina will be found soon and not dead or abused to a point of recovery.

its so sad what someone could resort to just to “have fun”. Taunting the owner wt Nina’s captive picture…probably someone out to emotionally hurt (get back at) Mr. Reynolds. Hope the culprit brave up to return Nina and realize his harmful actions.
