Dear friends,

I came across this by accident. I had to just share. From time to time we come across some very special people who have many huge challenges in life. I’ve not met him or had the pleasure to inquire further, but the documentary is touching. Whatever they wish to do, their surroundings are not easy or conducive. But they don’t give up. They don’t just say it’s too hard. They continue and persevere and then they succeed under the most trying circumstances.

These people are just like you and me. When they get cut, their blood is red like our’s, yet they are different. They choose to be different. They are not afraid fail and get up and keep trying. They are not afraid of hardship because the sufferings of others mean a lot more than their own hardships. They focus out and not inwards only. Please watch this incredibly short and powerful documentary of what Mr. Visma Raj Paudel is doing for his community. How he is cheerful, smiling and can feel his compassion. Amazing.

ps. Please take note of a lady in red who lives in a grass hovel and was hurt by her husband. Yet she still smiles, is friendly and beams with great pride about her son. She touched me deeply.

UPDATE: 5th April 2015

Inspired by the great work done by Mr Visma after reading this blog post, one of H.E. Tsem Rinpoche’s close student, KB – decided to visit Mr Visma and his organisation in Pokhara during his visit back to Nepal recently.

Mr Visma is a very busy man, but he made some time to have a short chat with KB. At the moment, there’s about 50 children living in Namaste Community Foundation. The Foundation is also a place where 30 staff members and volunteers work from, to care for the children as well as various other community works that they plan and are carrying out. KB have also requested Mr Visma to provide some background information about his Foundation, which he happily accepted, so do revisit this post for future updates on Namaste Community Foundation.

Below are some pictures of the Foundation which were taken during KB’s recent visit.

I watched the Documentary video of NAMASTE CHILDREN’S FOUNDATION.
Its really really Touching you know. I don’t have much words to say because i can’t explain in words but its really touch me and i couldn’t came to stop myself from crying while watching it. My eyes drop tears many times whether its on one young boy said he wants to go to the school but can’t go because of financial problem. And when the lady Parvati tells her story its was so heart moving ones. After seeing this that she suffered alot and also her son, now i also want to meet her and her son sujan. I am very very sad to come to know that this kind of abuse and child labours happen and still happening in Nepal. Not only in Pokhara but many different places of Nepal. But i am also very happy because we have a person like Visma Raj Poudel. Who do everything to help others. He is very inspiring person on himself and whatever he did so far, its inspiration to others. I am really Rejoice on his hardworks and hardships for others.
    Thank you

It is so sad to see the conditions of the people in Nepal. The condition is so bad that all the basic necessity are not available. And to make things worse, government is not taking care of all their people and making the gap of the rich and poor bigger.

What Visma has done is really inspiring and set a good example for all of us. He goes all the way in helping the poor and abused children. I am sure his journey is not easy but he is so persistent and persevere with even bigger mission.

May his mission be blessed and achieve very soon. Thank you Rinpoche for sharing this story.

So cool to see KB with Mr Visma, thank you again Rinpoche for highlighting another unsung hero! I am sure Mr Visma with all his education and reputation can make a lot of money and live comfortably but he chose to nurture young children in Nepal. Rejoice.

It is a bit strange to for us to see that these people although being so poor are happier than us.
As the video shows, the people there rarely have a place to stay, and in some cases sleeping in hallways or in dirt huts. Yet they can still smile, not a fake smile but a real one.
We have so much things yet we are not satisfied.
These people who can hardly survive are still so happy even thought they face many hardship.
The people who live in more civilized countries tend to be better at complaining, as they want anything and everything in the whole world. But they will soon find out that they can’t have both bread and butter so that’s when their anger and depression start. You should not compare yourself to the rich but instead to the poor.
It makes me feel quite embarrassed as i am so pampered but yet i still demand more. Which of course isn’t right.
Even though Visma gets threats from local gangs and other bad people he still stands firm in the ground refusing to give up.
What he does is like mountains compared to what i had done, yet he says he did not do enough.
This video teaches me a valuable lesson that i have to appreciate what i have.

after watching the video, i see the condition of Nepal and its people who having lack of support from the government and the basic neccessities needed for the family, and the gap between poor and rich are too far apart. But yet in this situation, Visma Paudel stans out do what he believes is need to do to change the situation and providing the need support that is lacking for the poverty stricken family. It need alot of effort, encouragement persistency to serve the community, couple with right motivation to benefit others brings hope to not only the poor, but also an inspiration as well

Thank you Rinpoche for sharing this touching and very good story for us! I think Vismal is very compassion and selflessness man. Because he is very kind to helping the poverty or the needed around him and he is doing work tirelessly and fearlessly.

He is a hero to everyone!
    Thank you Vismal!

  8. stella on Apr 1, 2015 at 11:54 pm

This story is very inspiring because Visma Raj worked against the adverse condition that enveloped Nepal to provide for 70 children. This is truly an achievement. What we can learn from him is his belief that Nepalis are no difference from the rest of the world, and that education is the way out of poverty and corruption for the nation.

He demonstrated that if we truly put others above us, then coming out of our comfort zone is not an issue.

On the other hand, it pains me to see the innocent children being exploited or having to grow up not equipped with the skill nor knowledge to survive, leave alone compete with other nation or change the environment. Is there a way out for them? Even if there is, not everyone will has the chance.

This is a strong reminder of how blessed I am to have the luxury of this life. If I am not careful (do not practice dharma), this beautiful life can disappear like bubble in turbulence water.

Thank you very much, Rinpoche for sharing this touching message with us.

    Humbly and sincerely,
    Stella

  9. Lucas Roth on Apr 1, 2015 at 12:39 am

This is so touching, he is living life the correct way and he is so inspiring. He is just like us, yet he does so much more, people don’t have something that he has. That is the ability to look out and when he looks out he sees people he can help. Then he helps them and it is so inspiring to know and see how much he is doing and how many smiles he can put on peoples faces.

If only more people were like Visma, then the world would truly be at peace because everyone is not consumed by their own needs and they look out and they don’t ruin the world for their selfish needs. That is a world that cannot be achievable sadly, because it is sad to say but people just cannot put aside their needs permanently. But inch by inch with examples like Visma hopefully we can get that perfect world.

I feel that he is just amazing because he is just so kind and he smiles when others smile, that is the way to go by and make your mark on this world. He is for others, amazing, he is just so kind and totally amazing because he doesn’t only help but he goes out of his way to build a whole chain of children’s houses for them to live in.

Actually if you think about it, it is quite scary about how people cannot be about others like Visma and they only focus inwards and to themselves. That is why we need more Vismas and people like him, then the world can be a good peaceful place without people that just only care about themselves and even if they are rich they need more but if they are poor like some of the people in that video they can be so easily brought to joy for smaller things to the people with money see as small. Isn’t that sad? How we can only focus in? We need to focus out like Visma and we can be better.147

    Visma Raj就是人间的菩萨非常有慈悲心和爱心,用所有的方法只是为了帮助这些穷人的小孩,希望他们有书读生活过的好一些。
    Visma Raj

Children is our hope and our future. Providing the needs for the children is to guarantee a better future for them and for our many generations to come.

What Visma Rai Paudel has done and continue doing is sending us a very strong message that we have to do what is right regardless, accepting life and make the best out of it.

Nothing can change by complaining and when we are determined, we can do anything! Most of us are very lucky and have our basic needs very well taken care of, yet we always look for what we do not have and felt depressed, not to mention to benefit others.

Mr. Paudel has taught us to focus out, to live our life helping others and seeing the needs of those who are less fortunate than us. This is the best way to obtain the happiness that we all longed for.

Materials can never fulfill our needs and they are definitely not our source of happiness. By chasing after them, we will end up to be the poorest and most unhappy people in the world. We can see in the video that although those people are poor, are being denied their basic needs, possess limited or no material, yet they have the most sincere, beautiful and happiest smile!

Thank you Mr. Paudel for being such a good example. I am taking your words and example to heart and continue to practice to focus out and to bring meaning to humanity.

Pokhara and Jomsom are popular tourists destinations in Nepal mostly due to their beautiful landscapes. Yet amongst this beauty there is so much hardship in the people who have very little means to lead a normal life.
I have been to Nepal but not to these 2 places. During my trips it was obvious that many people in Nepal lives below the poverty line, but what resonates in my mind were the friendly and happy faces I saw.
Most of the people when on holiday do not “see” this part of the country, mainly because we are taken up by the scenic landscapes or amazing historical sites or shopping or the yummy food.Even if we did take notice of some who are suffering or in need, we may just spare them some loose change or give them some food or other gifts and we don’t ever see them again for the rest of our lives.

Even back in our home country we go about busy with our daily challenging mundane lives and hardly notice those who are deemed “strangers” to us. How many of us can take it upon ourselves as a career, to help those in need or in this case support their children with education in hope that this will be an express ticket out of poverty. Mr Visma and his volunteers are definitely doing a great job. They are very special ordinary people. Their work brings them to areas which are difficult to access and in some locations dirty and smelly. Living conditions during these travels must be bare minimum and most likely no proper toilet facilities too. But their focus is on others, focused on how to help them.
I am sure all of us had a big smile on our faces when we watched how happy Pavarti(lady in red) was when she was showing us her son’s school work. She was so happy that her child was able to attend school and learn. For Mr Visma, moments like this must be the “rewards” that keeps him going and make him more determined to continue his cause in life.
This sharing and teaching is very humbling and inspiring. As Rinpoche has always told us “happiness comes from making others happy”. Mr Visma is a perfect example.I rejoice for him that he has taken on this path so naturally. Thank you dear Rinpoche for this teaching.

  19. Candice Loke on Mar 29, 2015 at 8:07 pm

A very touching story! Thank you Rinpoche for sharing!
There’s always a lot of discontentment in life that we or rather I always bitch about, things that not satisfied with people that have done me wrong situation that I find uncomfortable with etc etc Some issues that i have been placing much of my attention in Which I must say put side by side with the hardships either Mr. Visma or the children in Nepal are enduring is really peanuts, nothing at all to shout about.
I as a sophisticated adult really hv much to learn from a child. Which is why I always envy those that sacrifice so much for the wellbeing of children. For them they know and are committed to the cause and they would endure the hardships eventhough it’s a long and tough journey to its fruition.
Mr. Visma is yet another inspiring role model for me to learn from. His compassion towards children/ mankind, his passion towards what he’s doing and his commitment in pursuing his cause. I once yearn to build school for orphans in Nepal, and it’s heartwarming to see more and more dedicated individuals are joining the cause. For that I rejoice and that I hope one day I’ll join in the list _/\_

Thank you again Rinpoche for sharing this beautiful story that needed to catch everyone’s attention 🙂

Yes, DR is so right to regard Visma Raj Pauder a shinning star bringing new hope for a better future! He is a real inspiration. Nothing can guarantee that anyone can live forever. Death is dreaded as at the end of life! Nothing that we work for in this life; power, fame, wealth, family or friends can help at this time. When we leave this world, our wealth stays behind, we cannot take a single cent with us. Our dearest friend or family people cannot accompany us. We have to face the next world alone as said. Only our experience of spiritual practice can help us. The only thing that can help us face the unknown is the virtue we have planted on to the stream of our consciouness and that is, only our Spiritual practice can help to make our life meaningful at this point of time. Cultivating in our spiritual practice a virtuous state of mind before we die, is said to cause virtuous action to ripen and ensure a good rebirth. As from the point of view of a Buddhist practicioner, living a meaningful daily life means making ourselves familar with a virtuous state of mind, which eventually help us to face death. To ensure a positive or negative next life is very much dependent on how we have practiced during our present life. The important thing is that our day-to-day life should be meaningful to ensure a positive, happy and warm attitude to create our next life to come! After our death as said, nothing is certain, therefore what Visma Raj Pauder has done or will be doing, is a totally right move. Thank you so much Rinpoche for the brillant sharing of this intelligent teaching.

I respect Mr. Visma Raj Paudel. I admired and respect his courage for helping the poor children of Nepal to get better lives through education. I have been running Student Sponsorship program in Yayasan Kechara Indonesia for almost 4 years. I know first hand that it is not all rosy. The amount of effort that we need to do to fund-raise, students bailing out of school, sponsors not paying up on time, few the students disappeared before final exam due to slight headache causing us big worry that something happened to them.

Doing charity consistently is training up our mind to get rid of our projections of how things should be and attachment to the results. After going through so many ups and downs in the past 4 years, I come to the conclusion if I sponsor 50 children and 5 of them did not make it for their personal reason, I will not focus on the 5 children, but instead focus on the 45 children whose lives take a different turn because we help pay their tuition for several years – which will not make us starve anyway although we may need to forgo some little luxuries that we are enjoying.

Thank you Rinpoche for sharing some interesting insight into the slum area of Nepal. We are certainly glad that are people like Visma who show concern for his community more than just his own needs.
He is truly sincere in his community social works and shows great compassion in developing the needed education for the children .In order to help them in the long run to pull them out of the poverty community. He understand that education is the most important tool to rebuilt a poverty stricken country.
Visma is truly a hero in the eyes of parents of the extreme poor. When he could offer a future to their children in order to change their faith through education.
May others like Visma have the same compassion to develop the slump area in Nepal in order to build a better future for the coming generation .

There are people that see the sufferings of others and decide that they’re also suffering, thus they choose to focus on themselves… and then there are extraordinary people like Mr Paudel, that from a young age, have seen the difficulties that his countrymen have to go through just to get simple things that people like us would take for granted – education – and decided to do something about it.

People like us, who did nothing are inspired by people like Visma, but to Visma, he feels he is not doing anything extraordinary, but just something that anyone with a little humanity would do. I like how his mind works.

Looking at this video, it is undeniable that many of these people, though they live in such difficult circumstances and financial poverty… some not even having a proper home to live in – but they are all smiling and happy… while on the other hand, I know some people that have everything in life, yet they are not as happy as the people that have nothing.

I am not saying that the route to happiness is being poor! or the route to unhappiness is being rich… but the main thing is – Attitude.

And this attitude is something that many wise men have said previously but we never took it seriously… it is not what we have, but what we are contented with that makes us happy.

Thank you Rinpoche for sharing this wonderful video. I hope that Mr Paudel will be able to benefit more people in the future. He is genuinely caring to the children and people in the slums of Nepal

  24. Vinnie Tan on Mar 28, 2015 at 4:15 pm

    Dear Rinpoche,

Thank you for the valuable documentary. Indeed through the video it truly shows that only when we have nothing, we can find joy and happiness more easily. Reason being that only at that point in life, we will understand the true meaning of things that are given to us.

In developing or developed countries, our perception of everything is very different. Our lives are very comfortable, and when things fall short of our expectations , we go into depression or even start complaining about the things. We have never once thought about the less fortunate ones that are in the third world countries or even the less fortunate around us. We never took a moment to even care or look at them because of our selfish minds only focusing on ourselves. When we do not get what we want, we throw our tantrums around like a little kid, expecting those around us to give in and give us what we want.

The contentments that is being seen in the faces of these beautiful people in the video when they have water or even able to go to school, the smiles that they have is just so heart warming. It truly means a thousand words from the smile that they have on their faces.

People may argue that they have nothing to be stressed about. But is it really true that they have nothing to stress over about? The things that they are going through and the things that we go through may be different due to the different situation that we are in. But how different are they with us? The kind of pain and torture that they have to go through is so much worst then what we have to go through. Yet, they have never once give up or run away. They face it head strong, making them a even stronger person.

I just think these people that are being featured in video may not have material wealth like what we do, but the emotional wealth that they have is priceless. There is so much of it that we should look up to them and learn from them. It is just admirable of their behaviour.

Thank you Rinpoche for sharing the story of a rare young man in today’s world – one whose dream from young has been to help and benefit the poor children of Nepal. What Visma says is his purpose in life is what kind and caring spiritual people like, Tsem Rinpoche and Tenzin Palm have said. – Life has only meaning for us when we use it to help and benefit others.

Visma inspires with his genuine warm heart . Even the incident of his gathering the children together and taking them to get Coke because they wished to have a Coke(a dream come true for them) shows up his sincere love and care for these children.

Yes, Visma is like a ray of light in a world of darkness, but that light will shine unwaveringly ; and it gives hope to many. Yes, Visma, children are the future. Without them, there will be no future. You are a lovely person for being so motivated to help them.

Visma , you are correct- white, brown or yellow, we are the same: we are humans with a heart. When you show this caring heart, you walk taller than others. People say they go the mile to help friends. You go a thousand and more miles to help these poor children. I salute you.

    Dear Rinpoche,

Thank you for taking the time to blog about this documentary, and also giving more Dharma teachings that arose from this documentary to a lucky group of us.

What Rinpoche shared with us is so true. Why are people in developed countries much more depressed than someone who has absolutely nothing and living in the slums? It is because what we want is never enough, so we continually want more and more, and even if we know it’s going to make us suffer we want more, because we allow our minds to trick us that somehow the comfort and feel-good factor will make all our other perceived problems go away. When is it enough? For most people who have everything, it is NEVER enough, and that is why we continually get unhappy because that one small factor of not having, illogically supersedes all the other aspects of what we have. And it is sad because the cycle keeps going and keeps getting vicious.

Seeing the genuine smiles on the faces of these people, and of Visma, affirms something – that happiness, pride, respect, dignity cannot be bought, it cannot come from external sources, but from within through our works in doing something fulfilling and worthwhile which only arises through doing things that does not focus on the self.

As I watched this video I had tears, seeing the simplicity that could make a woman happy just by having the son know how to read and write. Though she had to go through so much, she needed so little. I thought to myself how selfish I am, though I never imagined myself to be, because of how easily I allow my own negative emotions to replay in my mind, like it is the end of the world, when there are people who are suffering so much more than I am. In my mind, I perceive myself as “suffering”, but I still have a roof over my head, my full faculties, food, running water, electricity, money, a car etc, while there are people who suffer, endure abuse, go through trauma, and on top of that have environmental circumstances that are far less ideal than myself. How much more do I need, or want? How come my perception and tolerance toward suffering is so little, as compared to them? I questioned myself why are my sufferings which are so vastly different (and insignificant) perceived so differently in our minds – and realised it is because I am not used anything below what I’ve experienced and things are taken for granted. Emotions control me, my sense and my mind.

Mr Visma has so much compassion, to go against all odds, stand up and really do something about a devastating situation which he sees. He wants change, and he works for the change. When anyone is in the capacity to help, they should. Amazing kindness.

Stories like this are inspiring, and the Dharma teachings that Rinpoche tirelessly spends hundreds of thousands of hours giving are so penetrative to quell the ignorance within my silly little mind.

Mr Paudel is inspiring in many ways. He lives his life for the people in his village to alleviate the pain, struggles and suffering of the people. And you can see how happy he is doing so. He makes the lives of the unfortunate worth living again and they have a future to look forward to. He started small but now he has the support of the United Nations and he is opening his second orphanage. This is truly the meaning of what one man can do is to change to world.

This documentary ale makes me feel how lucky I am to be living this life I have in comfort but always trying to look for happiness out there. They on the other hand have so much lesser than I but they are happy with the smallest of things. It is truly humbling to watch this documentary and to feel how grateful to my parents who have given me so much.

It is when we give to others that we experience the true sense of happiness.

After watching this documentary on how Mr. Visma Raj Paudel has been helping the children of harcore poor families turn over a new life by putting them under the care of his orphanage which in turn ensures that the kinds have good food, clean water, clean clothes and a education.

It makes me feel embarrassed and at the same time incredibly lucky to have a all the above plus so much more that these kids don’t have.

In a country that most of it’s population is poverty stricken and struggling to make ends meet coupled with a government who can’t really do much about it, Mr Visma is a perfect example to those who always say that they can’t help charities in need because they are not rich enough.

As long as we have that little bit of resources no matter how much or how little, we should each do our part in helping those in need such as the slum house children and families.

From this video, It has taught me to appreciate what I have and be happy with it because the thousands of of poor people in Nepal are living their lives with much less than I have and still be able to live their life happily and with a smile.

Another point I learnt from this video is that we should never take our utility resources sparingly and refrain from wasting it no matter what little difference it’ll be to our daily life.

Take water and electricity for example, living in a country that is developed and prosperous like Malaysia, we often overlook and take the simple yet essential things in life for granted and tend to use it carelessly while the poor in Nepal have to line up for hours on end every other day to collect water and after filling up their pails and containers having to lug it back to their homes.

As if that may seem to be the worst, these slum houses have no access to electricity which to me is quite a bad situation as at the hot and dry season will make the already stuffy rooms seem even more stuffer and the risks of heatstroke is higher.

This documentary has been a true eye opener for me and has taught me to be grateful of what I have because many out there don’t even have a proper place to call home.

The sole fact that Mr. Paudel does charity work for a living in Nepal is worhty of applause. Mass poverty is the norm in the Nepalese kingdom. The living standard overall is poor. They dream of a better life as so many all over the world. But what is better – better education to fuel better materialism which ends up with student in debts? I suppose you win some you lose some. There is another section of wealthy too though. The problem as someone clever said in underdeveloped nations , ” the wealthy get wealthier and the poor get poorer.” Anyway at least he is breaking the norm of just fending for himself and his family. Kudos Mr. Paudel.

This video gave me a good reason to never give in life. The average Nepali earns about 330$ dollars per year. How is it even possible for them to make it through? Though their lives are extremely tough but you don’t see them getting depressed. The kids that Visma bought coke and snacks for them as shown in the video, don’t you think how easy it is to make them happy compared to how hard it is to make us satisfied? Visma is such a generous, compassionate and kind-hearted person. He sacrificed most of his life to the kids hoping that one day they are able to do the same to more people. May Buddha bless him. I know I am not the one here that should be saying this thing but, please take a good at them and then take a look at ourselves too, don’t you agree that we are really really lucky and we should start doing things that will actually contribute to nature and the society?

    Dear Rinpoche,

Previously, I have habits of wasting food, especially food that i may have overcooked and have dislikes of the particular taste in the food. However, this video has remind me how little others have on their plates, while we are comfortably living under air conditioned rooftops, comparing brands or items that we possess.

Now, I would have second thoughts of doing wasteful actions, realizing we have much more than what is call as “enough”. This video actually tells us that there will never be enough to give others if only few of us act, therefore each of us should play our role, even if its small, as a tiny as just a kind word or a compassion gesture. Sometimes, without you knowing, it may have just impact and change the life of the other person permanently.

Visma have indeed make so many changes in others lives, not only to the person directly but also to their future generation hence also set as a role model for realization of many living habits of other people, such as mine. I am really grateful to be able to view other parts of the world through telescope of Rinpoche’s blog.

    Dear Rinpoche,

I watched this show with my girls last night and I sincerely hope this will benefit them as well.Thank you Rinpoche for highlighting this issue. Actually I have a thought where, what seemingly difficult situation that happened to them perhaps it could served as the greatest lesson for them and for us too. You see, many of those who made it, actually came from an unfavorable background. I believe in each life we have lessons to be learnt and I believe this is also how we can perfect our paramitas. I do have my lessons that I have learnt from my past experiences but of course it was a lot better than them comparatively. Having said that, not that I will support all these but rather take it as our lessons as well. Then again, I also know that not many can actually make it *sigh.

I saw a comment from Su Ming that they are trying to contact Visma and I do hope it will be a successful search with successful outcome. What do we have to loose if we practice Dharma? Hence, all that I can do is to take a step at a time. It might be small but it is better than not starting at all. I am very thankful to Rinpoche that I have found a purpose in my life, to benefit others through kindness even with just a smile!

  33. antoinette on Mar 26, 2015 at 2:24 am

    Dear Rinpoche,

Visma Raj Paudel is truly inspiring and the situation in Nepal is heartbreaking. The hard work only to sustain a minimal kind of living, without ever having enough to feed the family. Children can not attend school or have to leave school early because their family cannot affort the costs. Children are sold as slaves, beaten and abused, with no hope for a better tomorrow. To find a person like Visma in this place, is a light in the dark and gives hope for many.

Visma Raj Paudel is a very caring person. He has helped many and creates a different tomorrow for others. For me, being born in a safe country, not having to worry for food or my home, easy access to education or health care, what is the outcome? Visma doesn’t simply turns away and lives a “normal” life.

Focus out not in! The suffering of others is more important than the hardship he has to overcome. There are many opportunities to make a difference for others.

Thank You for sharing this video.

Mr. Visma mentioned in the video that he cannot understand why there are people who are hurting other people. People with great compassion like Mr. Visma treats everyone as equal and thus every human no matter from which country are the same human. However there are still many people out there who will label others based on their race, social status, income level or even religion for their own benefits. These people will think that they are more superior than others and will use others to fulfill their own benefits just like those broker who cheated the poor to sell their kids. In Buddhism we should always remember to practice treating all sentient being as equal and no real Buddhist will should labeled others in the name of Buddhism, that is totally wrong.

Thank you Rinpoche for sharing this great video of Mr. Visma

    Dear Rinpoche,

The documentary left me in tears. To see that there are children younger than me going through such difficulty…. that there are children starving right now while I can eat at any time and enjoy everything I have at this moment. It really makes me truly grateful towards my family and all that they have worked for to give me a comfortable and sheltered life.

So, with my education, both academically and spiritually, I really hope and pray that I will be able to help and make a massive difference for the betterment of all sentient beings. I hope that I will be able to help in the way Mr. Visma Raj Paudel helped all these children. I really hope that will be my future. And I hope that I will have enough wisdom and integrity to prevail through the challenges and struggles that come in tow.

    Your humble student,

Thank you Rinpoche for posting this inspiring and heartwarming documentary. It goes to show that there are wonderful people doing so much for others around the world, and how inspiring that Visma never gives up his efforts to better the lives of others, with such compassion.
It was also wonderful to see that despite their situation and severe poverty, many of the kids smile and are happy with the very little that they have, which reminds me to be ever grateful for what I have and to endeavour to help those less fortunate and anyone that needs help.

  38. Pastor Henry Ooi on Mar 25, 2015 at 9:45 pm

Some of the people’s facial expressions and body languages do not show anger and greed of their pain and suffering, or being jealous and envious of what they did not have. They accept their impoverished situation having to eke a meagre living, and making the best of what they have. It’s a good reminder for me to know that I have so much more compared to them (I’m not being condescending but merely comparing). That what I have and where I am provide me the great opportunity to learn and practice dharma.

Thank you Rinpoche for such a beautiful story. It’s a must watch! Such an inspiration and it brought tears to my eyes knowing how much we have in life yet we still complain. How ignorant of me!
As I watched, I feel so so so small compared to what they are going through everyday just to survive. Yes, survive. Working so hard, with so little pay, no proper home and not enough to eat. Just thinking of how to pass the day.
And the lady in red who suffered so much is still smiling and proud her son, that smile that is so beautiful and sincere.
But the most painful to watch was knowing that the child was abused and sold for money. They are so young yet they go through so much. Nobody can help them as everyone else is also suffering their own ways.
Visma may not be able to help all of them, but he does his best in any way he can and I am really happy to see that. He inspired me to do the same.

This video is really very touching and inspiring the video remind us about how we should live our life, Mr Visma really a hero he has a lot of realisation like he know the true happiness is to look out is not to look within ourselves by helping others in this case all these children who live in poverty this men help them to give hope in life this is very touching. A lot of us our dream is to become beneficial to ourselves to enquire more wealth, to get famous but look at this man his dream is to help the poor children very different from others, so lesson of this video is to teach us if we want happiness we should look out help others not continue feeding our wants and desire. Thank you Rinpoche for continue teaching us and remind us about all these precious teaching.

“We should help people, that’s why I’m here” says Visma Paudel… How powerful and true, something we often forget as we get caught up with our self-cherishing mindset.

After watching this video I realise that there is really no point in putting hope and expectations on someone else to give you anything especially a better life. It’s really sad seeing poverty stricken countries like Nepal, India, Africa, Asia, etc. where governments have failed to provide for their own people. Reminds me of the truth which is what Visma also quoted from the great Ghandhi “If you want to see change, peace and prosperity in the world better start by yourself!” This is exactly like what Rinpoche’s been telling us… we need to be our own light, be the example, the change that we want and expect to see in others. We change ourselves first instead of expecting others to change and from there we may begin to perhaps inspire or help someone.

This video reminded me how lucky I am and how we have taken even the basic comforts in life like clean water, electricity, internet that we have all for granted. All these poor kids are dying to go to school and if given a chance they even have dreams and goals, like the kid who wants to be a teacher one day. After watching this video, you really tell yourself to “shut up” don’t ever complain no more. How very very very lucky we are.

It’s inspiring to see someone kind and courageous enough like Vismal who despite all the difficulties he faces, he chooses to focus out and care and is doing something to help these children. Makes one feel like being another Vismal… because the world needs more of them. After all that is why we’re here… to help people… Vismal reminds us. Thank you Rinpoche for shedding light once again on us to see the reality.

Thank you Rinpoche for sharing this video. This is very touching and remind me that the difficulty in my life is nothing compare to many people in the world. Move on without worrying, appreciate life and helping others is what I found from Mr Visma in this video, I must learn from his attitude and thanks him for giving the children love and care.

  46. Sock Wan on Mar 24, 2015 at 10:56 pm

    Dear Rinpoche,
Thank you for spending time to watch this video with us. There are many people who are living in a very bad condition, no basic necessity, no education but yet they are happy and no complain. Mr Visma’s dream is not becoming the richest man in the world or getting the biggest car or the biggest house, but his dream is to help the less privileged children in Nepal, to give them education so they can have better lives. From the video, I can see from Mr VIsma’s face, he is very happy and contented.

Mr Visma is not a rich man nor is his family rich. But this does not stop him from helping other people. He did not let ‘money’ become an excuse for him not to help others. He goes out to look for funds, to look for resources, as a results, he established his own home for the less privileged children.

I am glad I have chosen to work in Kechara where I get the real job satisfaction. While working to benefitting others, I am also improving myself. I know when I look back many years later, there will be no regrets for me.

  47. DR on Mar 24, 2015 at 10:16 pm

It is heart-wrenching so many Nepalese live in abject poverty. Various factors contribute to chronic poverty in the rural areas. One of which is the rugged terrain that makes it difficult to promote economic activity and deliver services. These regions are also physically isolated, with poor communications and infrastructure. Hence poor families are often obliged to send their children to work rather than to school. Some had been beaten and forced to endure slave-like conditions; the majority had been trafficked. Many suffer harrowing conditions.

In a world where majority of the population is engulfed in their own attachments, Visma is like a shining star bringing new hope for a better future. He has dedicated himself to helping orphans despite the challenging conditions. Because genuine compassion is about empowering others, hopefully that poverty cycle will end with this generation of children.

I like what Visma quoted from Gandhi: If you really want to see the change in peace and prosperity in the world, better start by yourself. It is also the bedrock of a firm optimism upon which all people can base their actions to bring about positive change in our world. And if we are not as selfless and courageous as Visma, we can begin the first step of our journey in igniting our compassion by starting to help a friend in need or our neighbour. Compassion, arising from a wish for mutual happiness and growth for others, is the heart of Buddhism.

  48. Beatrix Ooi on Mar 24, 2015 at 9:34 pm

Look at these poor families and children, then contemplate. We have nice clothes, nice food, comfortable houses, loving parents etc. What is left for us to complain and not be happy about?

I think that we should often check ourselves, and ask why are we always depressed, sad, grumpy? It’s not that we can’t do that, but it directly reflects what kind of people we are. When we are always sad and complaining, it’s because we are not focusing out, we are not kind enough to look at other people’s problems and realise the fact that we are not the only ones who are “suffering”.

These people are suffering because they are provided and born with that kind of environment and they didn’t have a choice, but you never see them falling into depression or complain; As for us, we have everything that we have ever needed, the reason why we are always depressed is not because the people around us that are creating the “problems”, it’s our minds that are tricking us and making ourselves believe that our problems are such a big deal and therefore we will always be depressed and grumpy.

  49. Karen Chong on Mar 24, 2015 at 9:26 pm

The genuine smile on the kids’ face is truly touching. Literally they have nothing, not even a proper home and meal, but from their smile, you feel sincerity not hatred or complaints. In Buddhism we were taught renunciation, renouncing our clinging to any form of possessions, physically or mentally. When we’re freed of attachments, we feel lighter, as there is nothing much to desire and crave for. When we have lesser, we feel happier.

Visma is another ordinary man but his perseverance in helping others is extraordinary. His integrity and bravery in changing other’s life has shown us it’s not impossible to free others from suffering. I like the part he said there’s no distinction in mankind, whatever we can do for others we have to do..simple yet powerful. We are all the same, even animals is our friends.

I have watched the entire documentary, and i have to say, i am amazed. I did not expect this documentary to be about the poor people in Nepal, but i am glad it was. I have learnt a lot from this documentary.

I have learnt that there are many people around the world, in LEDC countries, who are not living in good living conditions and are in desperate need for help. We must do as much as we can to help such people. Just like what Visma said in the documentary, when we can help others, we must help others. I found this message very strong for me, and i will remember it forever. Visma has really inspired me, and has changed the way i look at countries like Nepal. He has made me think of how lucky my life is. How i am lucky to be in such a nice family, have everything i need and especially a good education. Many other children would do anything to have what i have.

One more thing however, while i was watching the documentary, and while Visma was helping all those people and children, i realised that they were all happy. They all had smile on their faces even though they face so many difficulties in life. That is something which really stood out for me. They have so many problems, and yet they can be so happy. Whereas we have everything we could ever want, and we are unhappy.

  51. Su Ming on Mar 24, 2015 at 7:07 pm

After watching this documentary with my dearest guru Tsem Tulku Rinpoche, I felt really embarrassed. Rinpoche gave a teaching on this documentary about how when you have nothing, literally, in whatever situation you put yourself in, you don’t complain and do not let anything stop you from pushing forward.

The families which Visma Raj Paudel saved were beaten, kidnapped into child slavery and yet they are not bitter / angry and most importantly, they do not let their past govern their future.

I have everything and yet sometimes, I allow my past and comfort zone to control my future.
Rinpoche once told me that we are always in control of one’s action. Therefore, I look forward to this new realisation with new accomplishment, of course.

    – Life begins at the end of your comfort zone –

I am also looking forward to good news from Ba-Qin Loo, Wan San & Michelle Chua as they have been working hard to contact Visma as Rinpoche would like more information to enable us to help.

  52. Pastor David Lai on Mar 24, 2015 at 6:56 pm

Watching this video, I am just struck by how karma plays out in all of our lives and thus leaving such a huge disparity between the haves and haves-nots. This disparity leaves me thinking of the times I take things for granted that everything would be easy and handed over to me like it has always been. Like some of the stories played in this docu, bad situations can turn into good and my great situation can certainly shift into something bad.

I am ashamed for seldom not thinking how my situation can always take a nosedive anytime soon. Permanence is just an illusion and that would have the frame of mind to take it. Knowing karma, what can I do to make the most of the opportunities that I have right now? I guess, the underlying message besides helping the poverty-stricken kids is seizing the great opportunities that we all have to be better individuals.

I guess, the most powerful message of the video is the different perspective of living our lives of benefitting others instead of focussing our lives on a paycheck and acquisitions. This alternative message is refreshing and should be shared around more as such inspirational stories are seldom shared.

  53. Datuk May on Mar 24, 2015 at 4:51 pm

Watching this video made me realised how little I am prepared to get out of my comfort zone to help others. Sufferings due to scarcity (in whatever form inclusive of incompleteness of normal human faculties) has always upset me and I have avoided facing such views.

What is imprinted on me is how Visma amplified that when others need help, we must give help. This is what I will keep in mind and be more approachable and have mindfulness as to who needs help and be of help.

I also realised how much I take things for granted and always wanting more. The motivation for more can be changed and wanting more for itself is not wrong as long as wanting more is for the benefit of others and not for self indulgence and greed.

I shall be mindful when using amenities like water and electricity and no waste as such wastage can never be recovered. Not to take such amenities for granted as all the kids in Nepal even have to worked so hard to have them.

With so much physical sufferings, the people in the video showed not hatred nor stuck in their misery but continue to strive to make something better for themselves. In the process they smile all the time and very appreciative to small niceties.

I be content with what I have and focus out to more people to assist both physical and mental healing.

As Rinpoche mentioned Kechara takes care of the minds as a spiritual organisation and with KSK taking care of hunger.

  54. Julia Tan on Mar 24, 2015 at 2:16 pm

Visma has a very kind heart and he practices compassion in action. He went all out and do something for the children in his country. Give them shelter, education, nurtured them and give them hope. He knew that only by giving them education and teach them well, they can come out from the poor circle. These children when they grown up they will follow Visma foot steps to help more children.

So many people are poor for generations in Nepal, they have nothing but what they want is just so simple and they are happy. They never depressed because they have to sleep at the hurt or walk way. They get happy and grateful so easily with just a meal.

Parvati, the lady in red, by knowing what she has gone through, some people may feel depress just by listening to her story. Being poor, beaten up is not her choice. She suffered due to her karma. She doesn’t know how to get out from there because she never have a chance. She used all her time working hard for her whole life but still very poor. Now Visma gave her hope. She has hope. Her son can read, he has the chance to change his life and he will take care of her in the future. She’s just one of the more fortunate one i must say because they have the karma to meet Visma.

Even they live their life in such a bad situation but we can still see their smile on their face all the time. How come people like us, blessed with house, car, job, parents, friends and the list can go on and on but still we always depress with small little problems or feeling stress in our lives because we can’t get what we want. That’s because we have a good karma to be born in a good family good condition. We have everything we need. We don’t have to make any effort for what we need since we were born hence when there’s our turn to take care of the problems, we run away, we quit, we give up, we depress, we blame others.

Visma is changing others’ lives. He’s always happy because he never focus on himself but other people’s problems. The key for happiness is to focus out.

Thank you Rinpoche for sharing the video with us. We are so blessed to watch this video. It reminded me that how fortunate and blessed I am to be born near the Dharma and have a Guru like Rinpoche hence i can be a better person and use my life meaningfully.

    Love, Julia

    Dear Rinpoche,

From this video, it seems that people stricken with poverty are happier laughing and smiling than those who have everything provided for them. In fact, people in advanced countries like America has the highest rate of Depression.

Thank you Rinpoche for taking the time to share and pointing out the important essence of this video.
Through the different life stories, some lessons which stood out to me:-
    1. Many of these people have suffered in many different ways. A person’s situation need not be like that forever. Rinpoche has personally given me this advice in 2010 and when I looked back, it is true. Our life changes from good to bad and bad to good. So, NO NEED TO HOLD ON TO THE PAST. Let go of hurt by others. For these people, they are fortunate to have a new lease in life because of Visma Paudel.

    2. Will we be happy when we finally get what we want? Does our attachments end? If it doesn’t, it will be the main cause of unhappiness especially if we want something for ourselves ONLY. Instead, the wanting should be for others. Visma Paudel wants more and more homes for the children. This kind of want is what brings long term happiness.

    3. True Happiness comes from focusing out
Visma Raj Paudel is a person of true compassion. It can be seen clearly in his face. He shrugs off struggles as way of life. Since struggles is part of life which we all have to endure (either physically, environmentally or mentally), why not struggle for others in need? It is worth it because of the happiness it brings to others and ourselves.

Thanks for sharing with us this inspiring and touching documentary. Salute to Visma Raj Paudel, an ordinary beings with a extra ordinary dream and make it happen steps by steps without fear to all the hardship he will face!

I finished the video with teary eyes. Most of us included me always complaints and always feel our life is harder than others and never never satisfied. After watched this video, it make a big punch to me and make me contemplate deeply hence it should be share to our next generation.

Sometimes we feel we want to do something to help others but when we doing alone the energy will easily become weak and we cannot do so consistently and continuously. I am glad i meet my beloved Guru, Tsem Rinpoche and Kechara so i able to contribute a little bit in Dharma to help others a little bit in another ways with a big team in Kechara. May all Rinpoche wishes and projects come true to benefit countless beings (with folded hands).

    Your sincerely,
    Casteven

The video has brought tears to my eyes, especially the part where the lady was showing off his son’s homework and the way she looks at her son, you can tell she is beyond happy, In fact to say she is just happy is an understatement. After all the hardship and sufferings she had gone through, all she wishes for, is a better life for her son, an education. By focusing on her son’s happiness, she leaves aside her own suffering and that’s where she found happiness for herself and her son. This video has made me contemplate more and deeper into my life and my situation and how I live a good life and how I create my own “problems” when they are so little to nothing, if compared to them. I like what Mr Visma says, it’s so simple yet it makes so much sense and I can feel his sincerity and pure motivation in helping the kids in Nepal and a better life for the kids. Thank you Rinpoche for sharing this documentary with us. How lucky I am to be born in my current situation where I can practice the Dharma without having to worry if I have food to fill my stomach or a proper shelter to sleep in.
“By focusing out, we find happiness”
    Thank you Rinpoche. _/\_

    Love,
    wansan

Thank you Rinpoche for sharing this very inspiring documentary.
Looking at the lady Parvati which she is so happy seeing his son able to write in Nepal and English. She’s so proud of his son and she sees hope and great future for his son.

So heart broken see the child trafficking. What they need at this young age is education to groom them to become a better person but not child labour.

Visma Raj Paudel is really a great being that choose to look out and make a different for those children that need education, food, shelters and most important care and love. He’s the heroes that choose to see others suffering instead of his own and reach out to make a change for the children’s faith.

Visma mentioned that ‘One person can’t help all children’ but he shows a great example for many people how we can help if we willing to put others suffering before us and the satisfaction is to see these children get what they need. It’s a great documentary to share with the young one for them to realise what is the real unfortunate and how we can help them.

    Dear Rinpoche

thank you for this powerful post that reminds me to be grateful for what i have and take for granted like clean running water. The post also shakes me into seeing how weak we are as there is so little we can tolerate: too hot, too cold, too hungry, too much work etc.

The point that Ms. Visma made that left an impression is how important it is for us to cherish our children (not to spoil them but to nurture them the develop into beneficial adults) because they literally are our future. “no children, no future”. This propels me to further develop the programs we have in Kechara Forest Retreat so that we become a learning center that can serve many people.

It is also disturbing to realize how cruel we can be as the human race…how uncivilized some of us act. Actually, sitting back and permitting cruelty to continue does not make us any better.

Being humbled, I will immediately complain less and direct this energy to doing more for others. I already feel so lucky because I am in Kechara, a space where we get to serve others with every moment if we so choose.

Understanding that it will never “be enough”, I will conscious direct this habit to we can never help others enough.

Thank you again Rinpoche for this humbling and inspiring post.

  62. Sofi on Mar 24, 2015 at 12:08 am

What an amazing and caring person Visma is. He can see from the video how he is so relax and treats everyone with respect, even small children. Care and concern radiates from his face. Dharma in action. He said he wish he could do expand aid to more children. With this aspiration, he was able to fulfill with help from international organisation. His story shows us how it is possible to start somethin that will grow to be a success if motivated with compassion and care for others. Thank you Rinpoche for this sharing.

  63. lewkwanleng on Mar 23, 2015 at 10:18 pm

This is indeed a very touching and inspiring story, for Visma is just “ordinary” like all of us, yet “extra ordinary” because he put other’s suffering more importantly than his own pleasure.

This wold be a better world if there are more people like Visma, and yes, we don’t need to wait for others to be Visma, we ourselves can start doing something for the benefit of others.

Venerable Ajahn Chah was a Thai Buddhist teacher of the Buddhadhamma and a founder of two major monasteries in the Thai Forest Tradition. Well respected and loved as a man of great wisdom, he was also instrumental in establishing Theravada Buddhism in the West. Interesting life story, how he chose to leave the settled monastic life and became a wandering ascetic. Walking across Thailand, lived in forests, caves and cremation grounds while learning from the meditation monks of the Forest of various monasteries. He wandered through the countryside in quest of quiet and secluded places for developing meditation. He even lived in tiger and cobra infested jungles, using reflections on death to penetrate to the true meaning of life. After years of wandering, Venerable Ajahn Chah established a monastery where he taught simple, practice-based form of meditation, and attracted a numerous of students including western foreigners. He was one of the greatest Dhamma teachers of the modern era. His wise teachings have continued to guide thousands of people along the path of Dharma. Venerable Ajahn Chah’s teachings of the Thai Forest Tradition gradually spread across all over the world. Several of Ajahn Chah’s Western students have since established monasteries throughout the world. Just in Thailand itself, there are more than 300 branch monasteries in Ajahn Chah’s tradition. Ven erable Ajahn Chah used his ill health as a teaching point, emphasizing that it was a living example of the impermanence of all things and reminded people to endeavour to find a true refuge within themselves. The legacy of Venerable Ajahn Chah’s teachings and legacy continues into the modern age.
Thank you Rinpoche for this great sharing.

Wonderful blog written on the practice of Kalarupa for us to understand better. As an emanation of Manjushri, Kalarupa’s practice helps us to destroy ignorance and to develop wisdom overcoming our anger and suffering . Awesome Kalarupa manifested in multiple forms to help sentient beings who personifies enlightenment by the conquest of anger. Kalarupa also regard as one of the three main Dharma protectors of the Gelugpa is extremely fierce and ugly, and tames all kinds of spiritual ugliness. The fierceness of his iconography teaches us to remind ourselves that all the causes and effects of anger arising from ignorance are dreadful and distorted.
Thank you Rinpoche and Pastor Antionette for this detailed sharing,

Nepal is a very spiritual country, having a huge Dorje Shugden mural in Kathmandu, is indeed a big achievement for Kechara. Located on Charkhal Road in Dilli Bazaar, the mural can be found midway between our two Dorje Shugden chapels which are in Putalisadak and Chabahil. It is also very close to one of Kathmandu’s largest shopping malls. Many locals , tourist will be able to connect them to a powerful deity that is so closely associated with their culture. Well the mural not only beautiful but also full of symbolism and everyone merely by seeing it is blessed. Thanks to those talented artists and generous sponsors making it a success.
Thank you Rinpoche for this sharing.

All the art of living lies in a fine mingling of letting go and holding on. Letting go helps us to live in a more peaceful state of mind and helps restore our balance. A reminder for us all to go of attachment and meditating on impermanence and emptiness. We are to relinquish the domination of our ego and its habits to transform ourselves. A great reminder not to waste our previous life.

Winning the lottery was part of my dreams, I tried so hard to win big but all to no avail, until I came across Dr Lucas online who made my dreams come through and made me win 10 million dollars. I was a logistics manager who lives in Lancaster, S.C. and works about an hour’s drive away, in Charlotte, N.C., I stopped at a store to buy a scratch-off lottery ticket during my lunch break, because Dr Lucas gave me all the assurance that the numbers are not going to fail after I did all he asked me to do. Dr lucas is a powerful Dr that is on a mission to eradicate poverty from people’s lives and i have confirmed that by winning $10 million with the numbers he provided for me, it is my promise to tell the world about my experience with Dr Lucas and that’s what I’m doing now, you can win the lottery fast with the help of Dr Lucas he is tested and trusted Email: Drlucasspelltemple@gmail. com or WhatsApp +234 904 794 3567 he will help you.

We are members of the Buddhist Temple in Taman Desa Jaya, Kepong, Kuala Lumpur and we have been issued membership by the president (DATUK YIP KUM FOOK), we are very sad because we are the foundation of this Temple

Now we can know who is always messing with people, and he always cheats money and women, he even uses Buddhism to find money.

Also, need to be careful with his brother-in-law (Simon Low Kok Meng) because he is a spy (CID) for DATUK YIP KUM FOOK and we will write some letters to AGONG SULTAN IBRAHIM IBN ALMARHUM SULTAN ISKANDAR as soon as possible.

The matriarchal cultures of the grandmothers have specific symbolism of animism shamanism, such as the horse, especially the blue horse, and the deer. These are two main symbols of a shaman woman and you can find them in many cultural folk lore, especially the Russian, Slavic, Siberian, Nordic, Finland, and Norway. It’s nice to see the Matriarchal Shaman Animism diety represented in Chinese.

An inspiring act of a selfless Lama feeding strays whether its night or day. Truly an example for us all to feed those lonely strays . Yes I do agree compassion starts with feeding strays. Reading this blog again to refresh myself to do more. Strays animals generally lead a life of poor welfare on the street. Feeding strays is a compassionate act.

Demons are disembodied spirits, supernatural being or spirit and unseen beings. We know they do exist and I believe they do. They have no physical form to them whatsoever. Demons do definitely exist. They are intelligent beings who are evil malicious spirits and are all dangerous entities. Valak is not to be summoned capriciously by anyone as they are dangerous beings when we invoke them having to face a heavy consequence. There are spiritual practices that we can ask for help a ritual of the wrathful Manjushri in the form of Trakze. Having a doing the practice daily without fail, consistently, as this Trakze practice has been proven to be efficacious to break the hold the Valak and other spirits. All thanks to our Guru bringing this practice to Kechara Forest Retreat, Bentong Malaysia.

Wow ,reading all these powerful quotes had me realised much better of giving even I have little. May H E Tsem Rinpoche’s sincere advice to reach the far shore of liberation to everyone reading this blog. The most truly generous people are those who give silently without asking any in return. There is no exercise better than reaching and lifting people up. A kind gesture can reach a wound that only compassion can heal. Well creating and lighting for others we naturally light our own way. Helping others especially those unfortunate ones, make us feel more positive about our own circumstances.
Thank you Rinpoche for sharing all these powerful quotes.

Lama Tsongkhapa was an influential Tibetan Buddhist monk, philosopher and tantric yogi, whose activities led to the formation of the Gelug school of Tibetan Buddhism . Lama Tsongkhapa was hailed as the second Buddha by contemporary Buddhist masters of his time. Famous for reviving Buddhism in Tibet and revered for elevating the Dharma to all its present glory. Hence having a 12 ft Lama Tsongkhapa Statue at new Kechara Gompa (Prayer Hall) is indeed a blessing. Its truly beautiful. Merely by looking at it is a blessing .
Thank you Rinpoche and team effort making it possible.

The Unknown

The Known and unknown are both feared,
Known is being comfortable and stagnant,
The unknown may be growth and opportunities,
One shall never know if one fears the unknown more than the known.
Who says the unknown would be worse than the known?
But then again, the unknown is sometimes worse than the known. In the end nothing is known unless we endeavour,
So go pursue all the way with the unknown,
because all unknown with familiarity becomes the known.

What the meat industry figured out is that you don't need healthy animals to make a profit.
Sick animals are more profitable... farms calculate how close to death they can keep animals without killing them. That's the business model. How quickly they can be made to grow, how tightly they can be packed, how much or how little can they eat, how sick they can get without dying... We live in a world in which it's conventional to treat an animal like a block of wood. ~ Jonathan Safran Foer

He shared that he truly believes that Dorje Shugden and Rinpoche always there guiding him. He shared how sometimes DS will give him hints to avert troubles ahead or to alert him when he 'misbehaved'. Hope many will come to know more about this powerful Dharma Protector, Dorje Shugden aka DS. Having Dorje Shugden is like having a powerful ally that will protect us day and night. Hope many will come to know more about this powerful Dharma Protector, Dorje Shugden aka DS. Having Dorje Shugden is like having a powerful ally that will protect us day and night. Just trust Him and have faith. Kechara Penang Study Group, 25/11/2023 by Jacinta.
