GFWP colouring contest
This morning at the Kechara Grand Festival of Wealth and Protection (GFWP), we had a colouring contest which started at 9.30 am. 30 people participated… both children and adults!
There were 3 categories for the colouring contest:
1. Category A – Age 4-8
2. Catogory B – Age 9-14
3. Category C – Age 15 & above
Lew’s daughter, Wen Yue won for category A… Lucas Tan won for category B… and Matthieu Morisset won for category C.
The judges were Eric Choong (Fashion Designer), Margaret Lee & Roth Lai (Men’s UNO Chief & Publisher). I am so happy young people can be involved in a positive way. A contest to paint Buddha images is wonderful. Wonderful imprints. Wonderful way to create awareness of enlightened beings through art.

The winners of this contest truly deserve to win. The pictures done by them look very professional and with more practice and refining, they could look like that of a thangka! Nice.
i remember that day, it was really fun and nice to see my dharma brothers and sisters. i can’t wait for the next one. 😀
Sometimes we don’t know what we are good at until we try. Matthieu’s mum Margaret didn’t know she had a talent for painting thangka until Rinpoche made her do it and wow what she produced is really stunning I must say. Who knows perhaps Matthieu inherited it from Margaret.
Congratulations to all! Matt is so blessed to have a mother who can teach him about arts!
Each painting is very special and beautiful. The contestants have painted Lama Tsongkhapa and Green Tara beautifully with their own unique take. 🙂
Congratulation to all the young creative & talented winners and also to all other participants.
They really enjoy themselves and most importantly they blend in their interest with the dharma which create the interest for them to learn more.
Wonderful!!!
