Animals are capable of showing affection, kindness and amazement in their own unique ways. Their candid display of emotions is endearing and spirit lifting. They see the world as a place full of love and fun and everyone is kind and loving through their innocent lenses. The least we can do for the harmless animals is not to hurt them in any way, this, includes not turning them into a pile of meat that ends up on our dinner plate just to satisfy misguided taste bud. Thank you Rinpoche for sharing this post.

  3. Vinnie Tan on Oct 19, 2014 at 3:02 am

The expression of these animals are just priceless. The kind if emotions that they show to all that are around them. Be it happy, sad, anger, etc., it all shows on the animals’ side ride.

The expression that they have are just so pure. Unlike human beings, we tend to hide things up. Showing a totally different face to others and just lie to those around them. However, animals will never be able to do things like that as their expression shows everything.

These pictures are super cute! LOVE all of them! Thank You for sharing Rinpoche, the last picture is actually a very good shot, the photographer must have used up a lot of time to have that moment captured, but I think that it was all worth it. Friendship knows no barrier, no matter who we are and what we are, we are capable of building a relationship with friends, if we just put in our heart and our real self.

  5. Beatrix Ooi on Feb 2, 2014 at 2:54 am

These pictures are truly very adorable and heartwarming. My favourite one would be the puppy onesie, the puppy looks so cute! These pictures will really warm your hear when you’re angry.

  6. Beatrix Ooi on Nov 15, 2013 at 11:19 am

These pictures are so heartwarming. It’s amazing how animals can make friends with the others of their different kind. Animals are just like humans who need companionship and friendship, and that proves that they DO have feelings. So please stop hurting them, they deserve to be loved and treated respectfully. Animals feel what we feel: sad, happy, love, angry etc.

  13. Albert Ratchaga on Aug 4, 2013 at 11:28 am

This is one of the warmest post I’ve seen, I believe many people after reading this post will also feel the same: Just like everyone of us, Animal has feelings too.

Many people are searching for happiness, but happiness will not be found under abusing, killing, etc.. Feeding our own desire is the worse method to find happiness.

To put a smile onto a human face is not difficult, but it is even easier to put on animal’s face. Please care and love them as they are Human’s best friends and no one else can be so loyal to human as they do.

  14. Lucas Roth on Jul 31, 2013 at 11:18 am

Thank you Rinpoche for brightening my day with these cute pictures! I’ve learn more also on how to write better captions. Anyway, animals are no difference from us, they feel love, care, laughter etc too! They show love and affections genuinely without being pretentious. They are straightforward and direct with their feelings and most importantly they do not destroy our environment and do not hurt others for their own agenda. In this way, we human should learn from them.

  26. sarahyap on Jul 8, 2013 at 5:03 am

Awww..these pictures are really very cute! One of my favourite pictures would be the one about 5 baby pandas who are feeding on giant bottles! They are super cuddly and cute! To me, the funniest one would be the gif of a red panda jumping, trying to open a door. He just seems to can’t open the door forever as he has to turn the handle in order to open the door, but he couldn’t do that..hehe..
    Thank You for sharing Rinpoche.

The pictures of these animals looked so cute and adorable! They can be friends and played with other animals of different species happily. If we human beings can do the same the world will be a better place to live in.

  36. tenzinkhenchen on Jul 6, 2013 at 4:53 pm

Oh my gosh! The cuteness in this blog post literally brightened up my whole day. It is cuteness like these that all animals possess and the main reason why people should not eat them. They can’t say thank you from our care but they ‘repay’ us in the form of cuteness. Thank you for sharing this 😀

  37. Edward ooi on Jul 6, 2013 at 1:49 pm

Dear Rinpoche, all of them are super adorable. I love all of the pictures especially number 3,7,11,28,33,34,38 and 50. The girl is so lucky that she is being surrounded by a bunch of golden retriever puppies. And 5 baby pandas drinking milk from milk bottles at the same time.

  38. Leu Chong Hin -kH (JB) on Jul 6, 2013 at 11:59 am

  39. HelenaC on Jul 6, 2013 at 10:18 am

Ohhhhhh sooooo !! Imagine life without them, it’s so boring hehehe. Beside they can’t talk in human language but they all all the same just like us. They need love, care, attention, friendship… Their feeling is just like human. They will get upset, sad, depress, happy and joy too.
We must love them without any agenda as they can’t repay us much, but what about the love and happiness they bring to us?! Just like a baby, they can’t repay too but we still love them! So do the same to the animals and stop hurting them!
Thank you for the lovely post Rinpoche, the pictures really made my day!

Buddhism has a long history in Indonesia, and is recognized as one of six official religions. Numerous stupa, statues , inscriptions from the earlier history of Indonesian has suggested c Buddhism came to Indonesia a few hundred years after Hinduism. Buddhism is the second oldest religion in Indonesia, after Hinduism recording to history. Temples been built since then which still exist and came under the world heritage site. Borobudur,is one of them which is a 9th-century Mahayana Buddhist temple, in Central Java, Indonesia. The magnificent Borobudur temple is the world’s biggest Buddhist monument, an ancient site widely considered to be one of the world’s seven wonders and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Amazing just in the Borobudur itself there were over 500 Buddha statues . I have been to there yet , wish I could. Heard from friends the beauty of it, a peaceful place good for meditation and do prayers . Buddhism in Indonesia has an interesting history behind it. The Srivijaya Kingdom and its kings were influential factors in the spreading of Buddhism then. Interesting read.

Gratitude is a powerful catalyst for happiness when we put into action. It’s the spark that lights a fire of joy in our soul. Gratitude is the healthiest of all human emotions. Learn to be thankful for what we already have. Once we begin to take note of the things we are grateful for, we begin to lose sight of the things that we lack. Once expressed, it changes our attitude, brightens outlook, and broadens our perspective. When we express gratitude it improves our self-esteem and enhances empathy.
Thank you Rinpoche with folded hands for this great teachings which I deeply appreciate.

Great teachers are rare. It is a privilege and special opportunity when we have a great one. They are able to take a variety of styles and mold them into their own unique style to meet the needs of the students.

The purpose of a teaching is to teach us to put into practice and learning from there to improve by keeping the end in mind. The spirit of the instructions is meant to benefit and nurture the student along the spiritual path. Thank you for the sharing

It is very touching when organizations are set up solely for the benefit of animals. I salute the World Federation for the Protection of Animals (WFPA) for creating a movement on a global scale to protect and care for animals whilst educating humans on human.

This organization is around the globe and their mission is to build a global animal welfare movement. They are really doing a fantastic work.Thank you very much for sharing this article with us.

Great sharing of a great master Tulku Drakpa Gyeltsen , who has reincarnated lifetime after lifetime so as to benefit all beings . A beautiful praise of Tulku Drakpa Gyeltsen. We are fortunate to have H.E. the 25th Tsem Rinpoche here in Malaysia , guiding, giving all the teachings and powerful practice such as Dorje Shugden’s practice sharing with us. Dorje Shugden reincarnated as a Dharma Protector in order to benefit all. He arose from a long line of incarnations.

“Way of Compassion” by Tsongkhapa and “Meditations of a Tantric Abbot” by Kensur Lekden , both of these books I have not catch hold of it.“ Reading from those summaries by Freon and Swee Keong ,tells all. I did google to know more. “Kensur Lekden was one of the bright stars of the firmament of Tibetan Buddhism. In this book represent clear and compelling instructions from an accomplished master on how to set out on the bodhisattva path.” It details the attitudes cultivated in meditation—ranging from turning away from cyclic existence to developing love and compassion for all beings, to understanding the profound view of emptiness.
Buddha Je Tsongkhapa is regarded as the manifestation of Buddha’s compassion, wisdom, and spiritual power. The book “Way of Compassion” by Tsongkhapa is all about the powerful practice helps bring compassion and happiness.
Good read on both Freon and Swee keong summaries. From there I could understand more and learn from there. Will read it from time to time.
Thank you Rinpoche for this sharing.

Beautiful poem of reality and at the moment of death by Kyabje Pabongka Rinpoche. Cherished the wonderful moments , meaningful hours working towards Dharma and for others. Life is short and impermanent, we only live once and nothing is permanent. But fortunately, life is nothing but a continuing of birth and death. Everything is changeable, everything appears and disappears. There is no blissful peace until one passes beyond the agony of life and death. Sometimes later becomes never, start now its never been late if we put in much effort. Good things never come from comfort zones we have to work it up. Always think what is not done and not what was done, working to benefit other will be great joy.

Inspiring story of a monk Tsawa Pulthok Rinpoche student of H H Kyabje Pabongka Rinpoche . In fact being jailed, badly tortured by the soldiers for 19 years, he hold no grudge against any of them. He forgave them, not because they deserve forgiveness, but he deserve peace. Being angry at them only hurt himself. He was well respected in prison, as he never showed anger, always meditated ,consoled others, giving them great strength and motivated them.

Buddhism started as a Hindu influenced religion in India. Buddhism has had a long history in China and has been instrumental in shaping Chinese culture and tradition. Over time Buddhism became a popular force in the lives of the Chinese and many others. Buddhists believe in a combination of Taoism and Mahayana Buddhism, the latter of which teaches that enlightenment can be achieved in a single lifetime. It was able to gain acceptance among the Chinese as it emphasis on non-violence and the sanctity of animal life. China hosts the world’s largest Buddhist population. Interesting read . At the time of commenting , I still have plenty to understand.
Thank you Pastor Adeline for this sharing.

nspiring story of Kyabje H E Tsem Rinpoche’s life story. Despite all the up and down to earth difficulties, Rinpoche had gone through, it did not deter Rinpoche to give up what Rinpoche want to be a monk for the benefit of others. We are fortunate and blessed to have Rinpoche here in Malaysia and having the opportunity to learn, practice Dharma . It has since change the lives of many of us. Rinpoche is a gift to the world , who solely just on giving to benefit others and inspiration to many.
Rinpoche ‘s biography tells us all, reading it will let us all know and understand better of a truly great lama. Glad that Tsem Rinpoche had taken Kyabje H E Gangchen Rinpoche’s advice to write his biography to benefit all.
Thank you Rinpoche, writers team and the bio-team for the Biography book for Tsem Rinpoche – “The Promise”. A beautiful book to have . I am fortunate to receive a copy from Rinpoche as a gift which I truly treasure, reading it over and over again.

Julian Beever is an English chalk artist, who is one of the most famous 3D street artists. He is also known as the “Pavement Picasso” for his enormous 3D pavement sketchings that bring his art well and truly to the streets. He mostly receives a positive reaction and people enjoy seeing his art. Amazingly he has produced hundreds of pieces of ‘pavement art’ at venues all over Europe. Looking at those pictures in this post tell us a thousand words. It is indeed beautiful and realistic.
Thank you Rinpoche for this sharing.

Reading this article it gave a clear pictures of how many animals been slaughtered for human’s menu. The simple act of becoming a vegetarian will make a difference in the health of our environment. When we become more mindful of what we have on our menu every day, that mindfulness will seep into everything we do. Many people choose a vegetarian diet out of concern, to stay healthy, saving animals and environment as well.
What is important , give the animals a chance, respect them and to do harm them. May more people realized how many thousands or millions of animals be saved if they go on being a vegetarian.
Thank you Rinpoche for bringing awareness with this article..

Our Lama Tsem Rinpoche was a gift to us and the Tibetan Buddhism world who just keeps on giving , teaching Dharma and cares more than himself. Rinpoche was definitely one Lama that gives much more than another one else. Well known for his compassion, Rinpoche had guild rather train his students from day one where they are today. Rinpoche had observed , on the lookout to assist and encourage anyone of us and friends. Rinpoche had used the ‘new news’ an exercise to develop greater awareness of people and situations around. Wonderful way , to instill the positive qualities of compassion and awareness in us. Reading this post , I learn something new.
Thank you Rinpoche and Pastor David .

The Unknown

The Known and unknown are both feared,
Known is being comfortable and stagnant,
The unknown may be growth and opportunities,
One shall never know if one fears the unknown more than the known.
Who says the unknown would be worse than the known?
But then again, the unknown is sometimes worse than the known. In the end nothing is known unless we endeavour,
So go pursue all the way with the unknown,
because all unknown with familiarity becomes the known.
~Tsem Rinpoche

What the meat industry figured out is that you don't need healthy animals to make a profit.
Sick animals are more profitable... farms calculate how close to death they can keep animals without killing them. That's the business model. How quickly they can be made to grow, how tightly they can be packed, how much or how little can they eat, how sick they can get without dying... We live in a world in which it's conventional to treat an animal like a block of wood. ~ Jonathan Safran Foer

More photos taken from our "Hari Raya Hampers" distribution this week. Making sure everyone of our clients have something to be cheerful about. Apart from food, daily used items such as hygiene products, kitchen utensils, assorted fabric items, stationary items and toys were also included into our hamper bags making it extra heavier this month! Food items alone were about 35kg per family! Taking this opportunity to wish everyone of our Muslim volunteers, friends, supporters and clients a Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri and Maaf Zahir Batin. No doubt this year's celebration will be very different but appreciate everyone is safe and protected from the pandemic. We are in this together and let's work to fight this pandemic together! Thanking all sponsors and donors for the generous support enabling us to continue serve the needy with food, love and care.
