Incredible intelligence!

Dear friends,

I am so impressed with this touching video. Start your day with this wonderful event. I wanted to share this with you so much. It is wonderful to see this creature ask for help and receive it. So much intelligence. Dolphins have been friendly towards humans for thousands of years. Sad to know we have so much fishing nets out there that entrap animals and they suffocate to death or trapped to death. I wish there were no more nets and harm to animals.

Tsem Rinpoche

Injured wild dolphin swims to nearby divers for help

The poor creature had got entangled in a fishing line and its hook was caught in its fin.

A group of divers had an experience to remember when an injured dolphin swam up to them in desperate need of assistance.

The poor creature had become entangled in a fishing line and a hook was caught in its fin, preventing it from swimming properly.

A diver with a camera managed to capture the incredible moment when the dolphin seemed to solicit their help.

Whilst the divers watched manta rays near Kona, Hawaii, the wild bottlenose dolphin swam up close lingered nearby.

It was not long before one of the professional divers was able to spot the dolphin was in distress.

In an unexpected move, the dolphin presented itself to the diver, Keller Laros, positioning itself in a way that would help his human helper remove the fishing line.

The dolphin patiently waited for Mr Laros to cut the line, rolling onto its back and adjusting its position to give the diver better access.

After quickly surfacing for a breath of air, the clever animal returned and his diving companions completed the job of disintangling him.

Once the dolphin was freed of the fishing line it calmly and happily swam away.

Dolphins are highly intelligent mammals of the sea. There had been so many cases of dolphins saving human lives and they are so sweet. What I can’t stomach is the killing of them for meat, especially the Japanese. So heartless! Dolphins don’t leave behind family member in distress which shows their love and care for each other. So what actually gives humans the rights to take advantage of this fact to corral them in a murder spree? Watch here and wake up to human cruelties : https://www.tsemrinpoche.com/tsem-tulku-rinpoche/animals-vegetarianism/earthlings.html

Thank you Rinpoche for sharing this beautiful story of such trust.

  2. Lin Mun on Dec 24, 2018 at 8:32 pm

Wow, dolphins are intelligent fish. They know how to seek help from the divers to free themselves. Many times we heard story of dolphin saving human too. They are indeed very kind animals. But we human on the hand like to kill them. There is no good reason if it brings harm and pain to animals.

This is a good story to share that animal has feelings too and not like some said they have no souls. If so, why would they help human.

  3. Jacinta on May 7, 2018 at 6:28 am

Dolphins are highly intelligent sea creatures. Known to be friendly creature but this is the first time seeing dolphin willingly to get closer to human, just to entangled itself from the fishing net. Memorable time for both Mr. Laros and the dolphin.

  4. Alice Tay on Aug 11, 2017 at 10:51 pm

It is not a surprise that the highest numbers of dolphin killings are in Asia especially Japan. Many dolphins die every year due to the people hunt for their meat.
So, what can we do to stop killing these innocent creatures? There are 2 ways we can do now i.e. become a vegetarian and don’t buy a ticket to a dolphin show. If everyone can do these, many dolphins will be saved and same as the human because of the dolphin meat is exceeded safe mercury limits.

Thank you Mr Laros. Because of his kind action, the dolphin was saved from the suffered of the hook that was caught in its fin.

  5. Samfoonheei on Jul 18, 2017 at 7:13 am

Amazing what the dolphin did with his intelligence, he aproached a group of divers for help. The poor dophin was entangled in a fishing line and a hook was caught in its fin. These group of divers were watching manta rays near Kona, Hawaii were there at the right time.Saw this dolphin in distress and discovered a hook. They distangled it and the dolphin happily swam away. What a moment to remember for those divers..It seem that dolphins are some of the most playful and intelligent animals. Dolphins are truly lovable, friendly and fun creatures of the sea.
Fishing nets are killing over thousands whales, dolphins, and many more marine life every year. The dolphins got caught in fishings nets died struggling in nets.
Do hope marine life authority can do more to stop and help those poor dolpins.
Thank you Rinpoche for sharing these wonderful post.

Primates are often used in studies on animals when comparing to human but among the top 10 animals that exhibit human behavioral traits are some species of birds and dolphin.

I think it is a quite well known fact that dolphin is a very intelligent animal but to watch how this dolphin solicit help and work with the diver is still quite amazing.

First the dolphin recognizes the divers as beings that can help him, then it respond accordingly to the divers to aid the process. In the case of some people, this may supersede human intelligence.

  7. Edward Ooi on Nov 19, 2013 at 2:46 am

Dear Rinpoche, I really hope that one day the whole wide world will stop making animals into food, fur coat, supplements, bags and etc. But no only because of that the animals who lives in the sea are dying there are also many reasons like boat’s oil are spreading across the sea and the oil is preventing sea animals to breath and because of that many sea animals died. And I’m really glad that the dolphin was saved from the fish net.

  8. Wan Wai Meng on Feb 6, 2013 at 8:34 pm

If the dolphins can think like that to that kind of level, it must mean that they can operate at that level. Just because they do not speak does not mean they unintelligent or unaware of what is going on with them. So harming animals who can think like these dolphins is a cowardly act but people who would not recognise dolphins and other animals for what they are, sentient beings who are capable of feeling.

  9. uncle eddie on Feb 3, 2013 at 5:53 pm

Dolphins are sea mamals that arguably have the closest spiritual, intellectual and social link to humans of all sea creatures! Dolphins are regarded as one of the world’s most intelligent and fun loving animals. It is said that only Dolphin’s brain has the same layers of a humain brain has – and 50 percent more cortex cells than human brain. Dolphin is also said to have a memory capacity equal to humans and they can follow complicated directions and remember long strings of random numbers. Dolphins are also regarded as the most vocal amongst animals. Members of a group can hear and communicate with each other over a large expanse of opened ocean of at least half a mile. Dolphins like bats and many whales can locate objects from a distance of a 120 meters. Studies have shown too that dolphins are almost as good at picking out right object of different shapes and sizes even when blidfolded.

  10. Henry Ooi on Feb 3, 2013 at 3:14 pm

Dolphins being highly intelligent in the animal kingdom are also social animals unlike porpoises who are shy, yet they are of the similar group, marine animals. It’s the intelligence and not being afraid of humans that saved the dolphin’s own life. Credit to the kind diver who cut the fish line and the cameraman who shot the footage.

  11. grace (KHJB) on Jan 31, 2013 at 6:26 pm

Poor dolphin but luckily able to meet diver to remove the fishing line.Hopefully more and more people will show kindness & respect to animals and such things won’t happen again .

  12. Girlie Ooi on Jan 29, 2013 at 5:00 pm

Dolphins are reputed to be intelligent mammals and generally interact well with humans and some are used in animal-assisted therapy.

This particular dolphin could sense no danger when he approached for help.

  13. Albert Ratchaga on Jan 28, 2013 at 6:04 pm

It is always so warm hearted to see the harmonious between human and animal, we help each other and we live together in this piece of land harmoniously. Never ever hurt other being whether they are human or animal. Everyone deserve to live.

Dolphin has been known as the closest to human, regardless of intelligence or behavior, they have feeling too.. Stop hurting animal and let them have freedom of life.

  14. So Kin Hoe on Jan 28, 2013 at 5:47 pm

Thank you Rinpoche for sharing the video. It is really a great relief to see the dolphin was free from the fishing line. In this life, there are many animals waiting to receive help from us. We are lucky enough to get rebirth in human form and we should help those who are less fortunate and suffer more such as animals.

  15. Pastor Yek Yee on Jan 28, 2013 at 4:40 am

Honestly, this kind of video I seldom watch. When I watched twice this video, because I really like the clever, friendly and smart dolphin how to rescue himself. Incredible smart!!!

On other hands, I really hope this kind case never happened again. Human, please don’t harm them again! They are all sentient beings in the earth, we should be respect each other, living together, love and support each other.

    Not fishing!!!

May be all of us must start be vegetarian for one day, two day, three day, one month, two months, three month and then a year, two…three…ten years until end of our day. Not harm for others included all sentient being in the earth!!!

  16. nicholas on Jan 28, 2013 at 2:35 am

It’s always heart breaking to see animals being hurt for selfish purposes. Most animals unable to tell their feelings whether they are hurt. If we can’t help to lessen their suffering at least do not hurt them.

For dolphin, this beautiful and intelligence mammals are always alert. When they sleep only half of their brain shuts down and only one eye closes. One eye stay one with half the brain functioning so it’s very difficult to surprise them.

They have a language that communicate using a complicated combination of clicks and sound. They use their language to co-ordinate hunting parties which are beautifully executed with every dolphin knowing exactly what to do and when to do it.

If most animals could take care of themselves it would be great but human will always find ways to capture them for their self interest.

Treat animals a our friend and protect them because they have the right to live like us too.

  17. Low ksjb on Jan 27, 2013 at 10:58 pm

Thank you Rinpoche for the sharing.Dolphin are indeed intelligent creatures. For that injured creature to give so much trust in a human when it was most vulnerable is truly amazing. That beautiful dolphin might have observed the diver for some time ,in those area and it knew that he meant no harm to those it that area. That dolphin could analyse the intent of the diver before approaching him with confidence.May those professional documentary divers gives us more educational documentaries to give us more understandings of the wild in the ocean and not merely viewing them as just food. But food for thoughts.

  18. beatrix ooi on Jan 27, 2013 at 1:28 am

The dolphin is so intelligent! So glad to see Mr Laros helping the poor dolphin. The injured dolphin must have sensed that Mr Laros will not hurt him, and so he decided to trust Mr Laros and swam to him for help. Dolphins are very intelligent mammals. I love them!
Thank You Rinpoche, for sharing such a lovely video.

Wow! Thank you for such a touching video Rinpoche! Dolphins are such intelligent animals. They know how to ask for help! I am always amazed with dolphin’s intelligence and friendliness. And they are so beautiful! I believe most animals are also intelligent and that is why we must always be kind and compassionate to them.

  20. Lucas Roth on Jan 26, 2013 at 8:41 pm

dolphins have been so inteligent for thousands of years and they have been friendly to humans and other animals. i am so happy that this dolphin is safe now and i hope the dolphin has a log happy life from then.

  21. Sean Wang on Jan 26, 2013 at 8:33 pm

I wish that doplhins and whales were not captured for their meat. It is so unfair for them. It is extremely kind for the divers to help the poor little dolphin. More people should be like this. If everyone was like this, there would be less wars in the world.

  22. David Lai on Jan 26, 2013 at 4:39 pm

Dolphins are so amazing for their intelligence and endearing nature. I think it is nice that we are looking at dolphins which is an animal and it is not just for food or as something to exploit. I know we humans do use dolphins for entertainment but I think that most people look at dolphins for their incredible humanity and for their playful nature that they embody.

They are kind creatures that seem to reflect our human qualities and that’s most ideal. When more and more people see that in animals, there would be less abuse and exploitation. The problem today is the fact that people are so removed from the fact that animals can feel pain and fear just like any human being. And that is why people just take for granted where the source of the meat that they partake every day. We just don’t realize yet how much suffering we have inflicted on innocent animals. Just a visit to any slaughterhouse would be enough to scar almost about anybody. Hence, I like this post a lot because it shows that dolphins are just like us, they can feel pain, they can get scared and they want freedom from suffering.

  23. Paris on Jan 26, 2013 at 4:24 pm

What warmed my heart most in this is to know that the humans helped the dolphin and didn’t just cut him up for tuna. Pardon the cynicism but the world has sadly come to that, where every occasion becomes an opportunistic one for a human’s gain – almost always at the expense of another being. It was nice to know too that the dolphin knew who to go to for help. I do believe that animals have a heightened sensitivity and intuition for who is good and who would be harmful.

I am reminded of a story a few years ago of a dog that had been injured very badly in a car accident and was bleeding everywhere, suffering very terrible scaring that would stay for life. This happened in SS2, one of the craziest, busiest, most chaotic suburbs in PJ. And yet, in spite of all the traffic and the potential HUNDREDS of buildings he could have gone to for help, this dog walked up two flights of stairs to our then KP outlet which was up the top most floor of a shoplot (one of MANY in the neighbourhood).

Our Kechara people there helped him of course – brought him to a vet and got immediate help and he has now been adopted out to a good home (my mother’s place!) where he is safe and well taken care of for the rest of his life. Uncanny how he knew exactly which staircase to climb up and to know how to get all the way up to the top floor….! Well, he certainly picked the right place, out of all those shoplots!

    • Sharon Saw on Jan 28, 2013 at 7:32 pm

Yes, animals seem to have an uncanny ability to know where to seek help. It’s like all the cats who unerringly come to your house, Paris!!! And those who come to mine too… and the squirrels.. and rats…

Anyway i just wish people would stop fishing already so that dolphins don’t have to suffer. Sad that it’s all because of human greed. What karma we create. And the worst thing is most people don’t even know they are creating it!!!

  24. Andrew Boon on Jan 26, 2013 at 4:22 pm

How utterly incredible… These intelligent and gentle creatures know precisely when to know if someone is trying to help. The way it just swims gently towards the diver and “surrenders”, literally hovers around while the diver meticulously unties the line from the fin… magnificent footage!

Even amongst humans there is sometimes not that much trust… if only we can learn from such intelligent and trusting creatures!

  25. Frederick Law on Jan 26, 2013 at 11:35 am

Dolphin has mesmerize me since when i was young, watching documentary of dolphin makes me feel they are the angels of the sea, besides being a very high intelligent mamal living in the sea, we always hear how dolphin help ships that are lost by leading them to the right directions.

Besides they are very gentle and beautiful creature that is very close to human every time divers dives into the sea, we will see dolphins swam and play around them. It is just that ignorant human being which is only focus on getting profit by fishing, disregards the safety and wellbeing of other sea creatures, such here is the dolphin.

watching the video touches me, to see an gentle dolphin swims to a diver and asking for help, such a great intellligence and trust the dolphin had to the person.

Thank you for sharing such a beautiful video Rinpoche.

    Regards,

Thanks Rinpoche for sharing the article.

Dolphins are highly intelligence. I think the dolphin can feel that these people can help them so he swam there to seek for help.

It’s so contradicting that the one who hurt them also from human. Different motivation will leads to different action. The selfish motivation always hurts others and ourselves; the selfless motivation always benefits others and ourselves.

The selfishness might bring happiness in short term, in order to have this short term happiness again and again, we create more sufferings for others, in the end, we suffer too.

I hope more people can realize this and break this circle of suffering by focusing out to benefit others.

Dolphins are highly intelligent creatures, they are tame and friendly towards human beings. They can be trained to perform tricks to entertain tourists like those in Ocean Park in Hong Kong. They are very lovable creatures! Thank you for this wonderful video and i am glad to see that dolphin is finally freed by the kind diver!

  29. edward ooi on Jan 25, 2013 at 11:35 pm

Wow, this dolphin is so smart. The dolphin is so lucky when it got injured by the fish hook, it found Mr Laros to help it cut the line. I said this dolphin is smart because when it sees Mr Laros, it uses body language to tell Mr Laros what happened to it because animals cannot talk. I hope the dolphin is happily swimming in the ocean. Thank you for reading

I too wish that there were no more nets to trap and kill animals. I loves watching this video. Its amazing how kind this man is towards the dolphin, i wish that more humans would act the same way towards all animals. This is how animals should be treated, no like pieces of meat ready to be killed and eaten. This is what it is about, helping animals. And treating them with love and compassion. Thank you so much for sharing this video with us Rinpoche, it has indeed made me happy. I am so happy to know that there are still people out there which care and give love to animals.

  31. Erickksiow on Jan 25, 2013 at 11:26 pm

Glad to watched this video, and it’s so touching, we should be kind to animals, animals do not ask for any Material wants, Fortune, or Fame. All they ask for is our Love and Understanding. And the Dignity to live out their Karma and die Naturally.

  32. Jean Mei on Jan 25, 2013 at 9:11 pm

What a great video and article! I find it really interesting how a dolphin will know that a human is capable of removing the hook and hence approached the diver. This is a great example of how animal intelligence is much higher than what most people believe.

You compare a video like this one to those on this post: http://blog.tsemtulku.com/tsem-tulku-rinpoche/current-affairs/dolphin-killing-in-denmark.html, and you suddenly realize that any form of discrimination between human and animals is wrong.

Most people who eat animals believe that animals are not capable of higher intelligence – what if they are? Would you stop eating them? x

  33. Hecelus Tan Yong Chean on Jan 25, 2013 at 7:50 pm

As a human beings,we should always have compassion for every living beings in this world.Like dolphin,it does always saved us from dangerous.Dolphins are our best friend,we should not like those
merciless japanese that killed dolphins just because for themself to have a delicious meal.

  34. Joy on Jan 25, 2013 at 6:31 pm

Beautiful beautiful creatures and humans together helping one another. How fortunate for us to be able to be human and protect these animals who are so gentle, sensitive and warm, and just like us deserves happiness.

It really is high time we stop demanding to eat meat so that such activities like the fishing industry and slaughter houses will be forced to slow down their work and gradually over a period of years they will close down. We can go back to the basics…co-existing in harmony, eating veggies and lead healthier lifestyle actually! So why would we object and reject to being better humans, have better health and life? Is it only because we are ignorant or we choose to be ignorant? If people say they love animals… they really should start thinking about the 3 meals a day they put in their mouths… are these not animals? Some reflections that can change the world eventually.

    Dear Rinpoche,

This story on a dolphin turning to those divers for help was very touching and heart-warming. It was very touching to know that instead
of the dolphin being scared of those divers it actually came close to them so that they could help him untangle the fishing net.

It shows that we should never harm any animals but give them the love we can give them so that they too do not have to worry about being hurt.

If only all humans loved animals they too would not have to worry about being hurt and the world would be so much a better place.

If only there was peace between both animals and humans it would so much be a better place and environment for both animals and humans.

Thank you Rinpoche for sharing this touching video and article.

Its a touching video clip. Dolphins are very smart and have good memory too. This dolphin places its trust on the divers and even can adjust its body for them to remove the fishing line. Such sensitivity animals have just like human.

I have always loved Dolphins! They are one of the most intelligent marine species in the sea.

When I wasn’t a vegetarian before… this was like 8 years ago, I have always ensured I consume products that label “Dolphin Safe”. Now, obviously I do not have to worry about that any more since I’m a full time vegetarian!

Dolphins are highly sociable species, they develop a very strong bond with their pod members and even go as far as to take care sick members within the group. There are also many occasions where dolphins help stranded people at sea, and even protecting them from sharks!

I’m glad that at least someone get to return the favor by taking off the net from this dolphin.

If only there are no longer any death traps at sea, these animals will not suffer.

  38. patsy on Jan 25, 2013 at 3:13 pm

Dolphins are among the most intelligent animals and they are also well loved by humans due to their friendly appearance and they form strong bonds with humans. They have been known to help humans in a variety of circumstances including rescues. This dolphin is smart enough to trust the divers and I am so glad that the divers helped him. Thank you, Rinpoche, for sharing this well captured heartwarming video.

Thank you Rinpoche for sharing this lovely heart warming video on the rescue of the dolphin.

Dolphins are known to have the closest intelligence to man , in fact there are many many stories of dolphins who have come to the rescue of divers, surfers, swimmers and shipwreck survivors. There are also beautiful stories of dolphins who suddenly appear to ‘guide’ ships to safety in times of storms. These beautiful creatures also have a lot of compassion and wisdom – at times i think much more than us.

I am so glad that the divers rescued the dolphin and i truly pray more and more people have this same compassion and stop setting down nets and hooks !

It was amazing and the dolphin are so intelligence. The injured dolphin swam up to a group of divers seeking help from them. The dolphin presented itself to the diver and adjusting its position for the diver to cut the fishing line. The dolphin seek help and trust his life to the human beings to save itself. Thank you Rinpoche for sharing this heart warming video.

  41. adeline woon on Jan 25, 2013 at 1:23 pm

Ric O’Barry and a group of amazing human beings have been workingly tiressly for dolphins, especially those at the cove in Taiji, Japan, where the massacre of dolphins has happened for centuries to supply meat to the consumers (http://www.savejapandolphins.org/). I admire Mr. O’Barry very much for his persistency and kindness in fighting for this good and important cause.

Dolphins are indeed very beautiful, intelligent and I would even say have wisdom. Dolphins communicate and they know what is going on around them, they will know when one of them are being captured. They know what and who did so. The fact that they will still go to a human for help clearly shown that they have a broader mind than most of us human might have. They will not assume all humans are the same, they know that not all human will hurt them, they do not lose hope on human. Hence the beautiful scene captured in the video above. How can we continue to deny the fact that dolphins are the same as human, animals are not different from us?

  42. abby f on Jan 25, 2013 at 12:49 pm

It is said that dolphin has a large midbrain used to interpret echolocation signals. Dolphin are smart. Happy to hear that the dolphin has trust in human beings to save itself from danger.

To me, for human beings to help animals is like fire fighter put off the fire, save the people and more. It is a kind of responsible or mission. This is simply because when animals get hurt or they need help, they can’t really express themselves, they can’t talk, they can’t go to see vet themselves, they don’t drive. This is not the perfect world for them after the human development. It is not fair for them so we have to help with no agenda. This is what we should do when we have more and others have less. Thank you Rinpoche for the sharing.

  43. Lim Han Nee on Jan 25, 2013 at 9:56 am

Truly amazing intelligence indeed displayed by this dolphin. Thank you Rinpoche for sharing this video of the dolphin catching the very moments when it appealed for help and so intelligently positioned itself to be helped!

This video shows how caring people can capture moments that send out such strong messages of help from beings who, like us, have anxious death-threatening moments and need to be helped. Only they don’t have a voice to speak out. It’s sad that their problems and threats to their lives are created by man.

  44. Sharon on Jan 25, 2013 at 8:34 am

Thank you for posting such a heart warming video. The dolphin has the intelligence and trust to seek help from the diver. When in distress, one sometimes have to trust and surrender to the unknown.

For traditional Tibetan Buddhists, acceptance of and relationship with unseen beings is essential to living a full and successful human life.Relating to unseen beings, whether divine, or spiritual, is considered important across many cultures and belief systems for various reasons. Different cultures have their own belief .This connection can foster a more meaningful and fulfilling life by acknowledging the unseen dimensions of reality and their potential influence on our lives. Many believe that unseen beings like a spirit guides, whom might offer guidance, protection, and support in navigating life’s challenges. Connecting with the unseen realm can lead to a deeper understanding of oneself. Some find that engaging with the unseen world provides a sense of meaning and purpose in life depending to how they could accept. Many cultures have rich traditions and stories surrounding unseen beings. They play a significant role in Tibetan Buddhist practice, influencing both personal well-being and the wider world. Practitioners actively engage with these beings through various rituals, prayers, offerings, and visualizations. These interactions aim to establish positive relationships, seek guidance. The concept of unseen beings has practical implications in Tibetan medicine.
Thank you Rinpoche and Professor Reginald Ray for sharing this

Doing Dharma work and Dharma practice actively engaging with Buddhist teachings in daily life helps us to cultivate wisdom and compassion, ultimately aiming for liberation from suffering. The purpose of Dharma practice is to enable us to attain permanent liberation from lower rebirth. Practicing and putting into action helps to purify the mind and one’s conduct should be the conduct of a pure mind. We have to chase and transform those ordinary actions of our day into dharma practice. Well its important applying Buddhist principles to all aspects of life, from work and relationships to thoughts and actions. All depends on our own efforts to learn, practice, our diligence, our deeper knowing, and our correct motivation.
Thank you Rinpoche for this sharing.

The highest purification practice is the meditation on emptiness but for all us, that is pretty impossible at this stage. We instead can engage in prostrations, 35 Confessional Buddha sutra, taking and holding vows, refraining from harm and Vajrasattva practice. Purification practices are essential for our spiritual growth. They remove negative karmic imprints and mental defilements, creating space for positive qualities to flourish .Hence its very important to practice purification in our lives which will help to cleanse our mind of negative karma. These practice inturn also remove mental defilements like anger, jealousy, and attachment. There are four powers in order to purify negative actions, firstly the power of refuge, the power of regret, the power of the antidote, and the power of resolution. By removing negative influences, purification practices create a fertile ground to develop positive qualities such as love, compassion, and wisdom. These practices have the power to purify obscuration and negative karma that prevent us from actualizing the path. With the help of these purification techniques, such as prostration, mantra recitation of the 100-syllable mantra and meditation on the deity Vajrasattva involving visualization, we could transform of heavy energies into the lightness. Vajrasattva practice is a powerful purification practice in Tibetan Buddhism.
Thank you Rinpoche for presenting us the practice of Vajrasattva.

Osiris is a prominent figure in Egyptian mythology, known as the god of the afterlife and his worship involved rituals and festivals. Is also known the underworld, resurrection, and fertility . Osiris is famously depicted as a green-skinned, mummified figure, often described holding a crook and flail, and wearing a distinctive crown. Interesting story behind this Osiris as a king who was murdered by his own brother Seth because of extremely jealousy . Due to the popularity of his story filmmaker made it into American science fiction action film.
Thank you Rinpoche for this interesting sharing of Egyptian mythology.

Antique shops specializing in Buddhist art can be a good source, particularly for rare or antique pieces. But be cautious when buying from less reputable sources. Some statues may be illegally obtained such as stolen from temples or it might comes with something else .
Hecelus Tan received an antique Buddha statue given by a relative. He looked at the statue feeling uneasy and having nightmare since then. Quite a few disturbance and he experienced unforeseen incidence as he related those nightmare to his parents. After consulted a Tibetan Buddhist friend as advice to return back to the shop. Then what happened next the Buddha’s head broken and was returned later.

Revisit this article of how the Dharma Protector Dorje Shugden took trance of the famous Panglung Oracle that had helped the H H 14th Dalai Lama on his historic escape to India. A guerrilla fighting group was formed escorting Dalai Lama through the escape route as advised by the Oracle safely into exile in India, all the way invoking Dorje Shugden to keep them safe and protected . After ensuring that His Holiness was safely in exile, they returned back to Tibet staving off the Chinese incursions. The truth must be known to all its Dorje Shugden who had saved the Dalai Lama’s life.
Thank you Rinpoche for this interesting sharing.

I do believe the paranormal, everything which includes unseen beings, spirits do exist after-all. Kids with special abilities, often referred as gifted or talented. They do demonstrate exceptional abilities in one or more areas, such as academics, arts, or sports. They may show advanced cognitive skills, creative thinking, or physical prowess for their age. Identifying and nurturing these abilities is crucial for their development and well-being. They somehow expressed themselves through art, music, or other creative pursuits. I do believe they have magical powers and especially the ones that are a little bit different. Interesting watching the video.
Thank you Rinpoche for this sharing.

The term Concert of Names of Manjushri is a tantric text within Tibetan Buddhism, describing the various names and qualities of the bodhisattva Manjushri. Its usually recited and often memorized by practitioners in Buddhist ceremonies The text consists of verses that praise and invoke the qualities of Manjushri, the bodhisattva of wisdom and knowledge. By just chanting the names of Manjushri, bring numerous benefits, primarily focused on enhancing wisdom, memory, and clarity of mind. Some traditions associate the practice with protection from negative influences, such as black magic, sickness, and negative karma.
Thank you Rinpoche for introducing this powerful practice to us at Kechara Forest Retreat , Bentong, Pahang.

The Jonang lineage traces its roots back to the 12th century, the profound teachings of Buddha Shakyamuni. Interesting read of the History of Jonang lineage and how it converted to Gelug and how Kalachakra maintain in Gelug until today. The Jonang lineage is a school of Tibetan Buddhism that emphasizes the Kalachakra Tantra. It originated in Tibet, though suppressed in the 17th century, the Jonang tradition persevered in remote regions of Tibet and is now experiencing a revival. The Jonang lineage offers a unique perspective on Buddhist philosophy and practice, influencing other Tibetan Buddhist traditions.
Thank you Rinpoche for sharing about this profound lineage.

The Unknown

The Known and unknown are both feared,
Known is being comfortable and stagnant,
The unknown may be growth and opportunities,
One shall never know if one fears the unknown more than the known.
Who says the unknown would be worse than the known?
But then again, the unknown is sometimes worse than the known. In the end nothing is known unless we endeavour,
So go pursue all the way with the unknown,
because all unknown with familiarity becomes the known.

What the meat industry figured out is that you don't need healthy animals to make a profit.
Sick animals are more profitable... farms calculate how close to death they can keep animals without killing them. That's the business model. How quickly they can be made to grow, how tightly they can be packed, how much or how little can they eat, how sick they can get without dying... We live in a world in which it's conventional to treat an animal like a block of wood. ~ Jonathan Safran Foer
