Billions of Holy Texts

Mar 11, 2014 | Views: 959

(By Tsem Rinpoche)

A few years ago, I came up with the idea of scanning Dharma texts into soft copy and duplicating them into thumb-drives. We were already filling up statues with holy mantras that are rolled and sealed individually… I thought why not duplicate these mantras into thumb drives and insert those into statues as well. What I didn’t expect was that we could duplicate books of Dharma texts into the millions, let alone billions!

Using the same idea, I selected a few Dharma texts, mantras and prayers and had them duplicated into a thumb drive and embedded into a designed acrylic casing.

On a traditional altar, we have a statue of a Buddha in the middle (representing the Buddha’s body), a stupa on the right (representing the Buddha’s mind) and a Dharma text on the left (representing the Buddha’s speech). Instead of heavy, bulky books or texts, this casing can be used on your altar to represent the Buddha’s speech.

You can even place it in on the dashboard of your car, above the entrance of doors, in a factory, inside your barns etc etc. I created this so that it’s convenient for people. As it is empowered with billions of holy Dharma texts, it also a form of protection.

Do take a look at the pictures and further explanation below!

Billions of holy Dharma texts right in the palm of your hand!

An altar with a Lama Tsongkhapa tsa-tsa, stupa and billions of holy Dharma texts!

Body, speech and mind, with sensory and pearl offerings.

A beautiful altar with Tara in the middle representing a Buddha’s body, a stupa on the right representing the Buddha’s mind, and the acrylic casing on the left representing the Buddha’s speech. A complete altar!

A modern altar!

Sacred Dharma Texts and Holy Mantras

The Sutras are written texts of the Buddha’s teachings recorded from the time of the Buddha and preserved in its purity until today. These texts offer us precious insights into the Buddha’s Mind and when we contemplate on and apply these holy thoughts, we stand to reap great positive results both in the short and long term.

Such is the importance of the Buddha’s immaculate speech that it is a necessary item to be placed on our altars. By doing so we create the causes for us to achieve the speech of a Buddha complete with its sixty qualities. More importantly they also create the causes for us to realize the inner and subtle meanings of the holy Sutras, which then become the foundation of our attainments.

Mantras are representations of the Buddha’s speech in the form of sound and when we have them in written form, we tap into their enlightened energies and access the protection we can gain from them. Having a sacred Mantra in written or any form will help calm the environment and the people living therein. This was stated by the Buddha himself that wherever there’s a holy text of the Buddha Dharma, protective deities will be present to protect the scripture and its surroundings.

With the application of technology, Kechara, with the blessings of His Eminence Tsem Tulku Rinpoche, brings you a modern representation of the Buddha’s Speech in this beautiful acrylic casing that contains the holiest of words the Buddha:

  • Liberation in the Palm of your Hand (Lamrim) – 108 Billion
  • Vajrayogini Commentary by Kyabje Pabongkha Rinpoche – 108 Billion
  • Manjushri’s Names (Namasangiti) – 108 Million
  • Heart Sutra – 1 Trillion
  • Great Compassion Mantra – 108 Million
  • Yamantaka Solitary Hero Sadhana – 108 Million

These Sutras and Mantras have been recorded into a thumb drive and embedded into a beautiful casing so that you may have the spectrum of these sacred words and thoughts on your altar with limited space requirement. They are replicated in billions of repetitions in order to multiply the merits and holy energies which is generated from having these Dharma texts. Therefore when we make prayers, offerings and prostrations to our altar with this sacred object we gain the merits of making offerings to billions of these Sutras and Mantras.

These sacred Dharma texts and Mantras are available at RM150 per piece in all of our Kechara Paradise outlets and also on www.vajrasecrets.com.

    Thanks Rinpoche for the sharing.

I love this idea very much, a small but contains billions of mantra and sutra inside, and can represent the Buddha’s body as well.

It is really good for those who always travel.

    Thanks

Rinpoche has such great innovation and creativity in this modern technological age! Just by reading it makes me have the urge to buy it… I will be getting one for my home altar and office altar 🙂

Thank you Rinpoche for placing so many holy books and mantras in 1 single, easy to carry case.

  9. Wan Wai Meng on May 28, 2014 at 3:59 pm

Another innovative design by Tsem Rinpoche, who comes out with non stop ideas and it is also creative to bring dharma and help people practice comfortably. The dharma texts are chosen to give the best possible benefit, blessings and protection to the person having this Buddha Speech. We have the complete stages for enlightenment the Lamrim, and Yamantaka practice text, no harmful being can ever come close or is a worthy adversary against the might of Fierce Manjushri.

  10. beatrix ooi on Mar 27, 2014 at 11:42 pm

This is a very modern and brilliant idea! The acrylic cased holy texts is also very convenient, we can even put on our car’s dashboard, it’s also very light compared to books. Now we do not have any more excuses not to learn dharma, its so simplified to ‘fit’ into our lifestyle now, people in the past had nothing but they willingly practise dharma although their obstacles were huge back then.

  11. mima on Mar 23, 2014 at 1:07 am

I would like to order two Manjushri is it available?

  12. Low KHJB on Mar 16, 2014 at 10:33 am

Thank you Rinpoche for your precious sharing and creative idea to us to gain massive merit at a very affordable price through kechara paradise.I did manage to obtain the version of the Billion of holy text with the image of Manjushri on it.
I plan to consecrate our Tsongkhapa statue with it,together with other holy items.Could not wait for it to arrive.

  13. sarahyap on Mar 15, 2014 at 11:58 pm

Whoever came up with this thumbdrive mantra encased in acrylic idea… is truly genius!

I totally love it! Not only is it a very convenient replacement of a Dharma text on the altar, it have beautiful Buddha images at the front of the acrylic casing! I used to place a Dharma book on my altar, but because my altar is a little small, it gets cramped up. Now, I just need to place this nicely encased thumbdrive, so convenient and visually pleasing.

I have also seen people placing just this thumbdrive on their workstations, which is excellent if our work space is not very huge.

    It’s really a must get.

  14. Grace Leu(KHJB) on Mar 15, 2014 at 8:53 pm

Rinpoche’s idea has since expanded to 2 more designs to suit everyone’s needs – Manjushri and Green Tara. See sample designs here: http://vajrasecrets.com/blessed-items/buddha-s-speech.html.

A lot of sincere effort were put into producing this which include duplicating billions of mantras and text into the thumb drive. Well worth the RM150 for such an innovative product.

Nowadays, people prefers to live in forest, and near the greens as they do not want to have the hustle city life which they grew up in because it is very stressful and very unhealthy for their body and mind. I’m amazed with the idea of forest house, incrediably built in the deep forest, with amazing architecture and innovatively studied landscape. I can feel the peace of mind by just looking at the picture. With the huge amount of trees, bushes and plants, it makes the environment looks calm, cooling and less polluted.

Thank you Rinpoche for sharing this article, this house is extremely unique indeed a beautiful place to stay. It is best to be recommended for people who likes to spend short holiday and for those to love to have a peaeceful meditation.

Ribur Rinpoche great yogi, scholar and teacher, an accomplished practitioner, as well as a writer and who had giving teachings in numerous countries around the world. We are fortunate able to read all the amazing memoir of Ribur Rinpoche’s profound meeting with Kyabje Pabongka Rinpoche. A rare and precious memoir. Woa amazing , during the Chinese invasion Ribur Rinpoche managed to retrieve some of Rinpoche’s relics and is at Sera Mae Monastery .
Loved what Ribur Rinpoche said …….as a scholar, and as a lama I am somebody, but these things are not important. The only thing that matters to me is that I was a disciple of Pabongka Rinpoche.

Duldzin Drakpa Gyeltsen was considered as an emanation of Lama Tsongkhapa. He was one of the principal disciples of Je Tsongkhapa, the founder of the Gelugpa school of Tibetan Buddhism. He was the founder of Tsunmo Tsal and built Ganden Monastery in Tibet. A great holder of the vinaya, well known and respected by many. With his incredible devotion and commitment that he had promise to arise as an Dharma Protector Dorje Shugden to preserve the lineage of Tsongkhapa teachings.

Most Chinese people believe in Buddhism. So there are countless religious sites in this vast land. China has such an incredibly long history that it makes sense that there would be a lot of places of interest where holy relics were kept. It would be wonderful to go spiritually enriching, going on pilgrimage to all these Holy scared places as mentioned. Interesting to read with lots of information making the trip much easier . Its amazing there are so many temples where holy Buddha relics been kept. Looking at it merely tells us all and is a blessing connected with the spiritual qualities of the Buddha. Interesting read and beautiful pictures shared.

A mandala offering in Tibetan Buddhism is a symbolic offering of the entire universe to the Buddha . Its very meritorious to do this practice with the purpose of helping us to transform our ordinary minds and offering away our ego to gain enlightenment. Mandala offering is a powerful method or a preliminary practice for accumulating extensive merit. The mandala offering is more like training us to develop the mind that takes delight and joy in making other people happy. In doing so, we create a vast collection of merits and it’s important that our visualization is clear and well fully concentration. I still plenty to learn from this post and will read again time from time to understand better.
Thank you Rinpoche for this wonderful profound teachings.

Avalokitesvara is one of the most famous bodhisattvas in Buddhism. Of the many bodhisattvas, it is identified specifically as the embodiment of compassion and as such has been worshipped throughout Buddhist Asia. Beautiful statue of of 1000-armed Avalokitesvara been offered to Rinpoche. A beautiful gift indeed. The bodhisattva seeks the full and complete enlightenment of Buddhahood out of compassionate concern for the salvation of all sentient beings. Very auspicious and meritorious to have one in the home .

Well said by Jayadevi that as a Buddhist we need to behave well setting a good example to all. Behaving well to practice the Dharma and will inspire more people to practice. We create beauty with our attitude, our behaviour, our actions, will inspire people. Living in a place where we are the only one who practice Buddhism is far more important with our behaviour to gain respect and trust.
Being a Buddhist is not that hard as long we have a proper teacher guiding us , learning and putting in actions in a correct manner . Following our teacher advice and for most to have our mind transform. We are fortunate to learn, practice Dharma from Rinpoche.
Thank you Rinpoche with folded hands,

Thank you Rinpoche and Wei Tan for this wonderful sharing . Happiness depends upon ourselves how we manage things out. It is not how much we have, but how much we enjoy, that makes happiness and seeing the happy faces of others. But when we expect too much it becomes an obstacle. Everyone chases after happiness, but few understand where it comes from. Well everything starts within ourselves, mind and in our heart. The only thing that will make us happy is being happy with who we are. To me happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace, and gratitude in helping others to be happy. Learning dharma has me change the way I think , it’s a choice .
Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared. — quoted Buddha

I must thank my dharma blog team who are great assets to me, Kechara and growth of dharma in this wonderful region. I am honoured and thrilled to work with them. I really am. Maybe I don't say it enough to them, but I am saying it now. I APPRECIATE THESE GUYS VERY MUCH!

The Unknown

The Known and unknown are both feared,
Known is being comfortable and stagnant,
The unknown may be growth and opportunities,
One shall never know if one fears the unknown more than the known.
Who says the unknown would be worse than the known?
But then again, the unknown is sometimes worse than the known. In the end nothing is known unless we endeavour,
So go pursue all the way with the unknown,
because all unknown with familiarity becomes the known.
~Tsem Rinpoche

    3 yearss ago
What the meat industry figured out is that you don't need healthy animals to make a profit.
Sick animals are more profitable... farms calculate how close to death they can keep animals without killing them. That's the business model. How quickly they can be made to grow, how tightly they can be packed, how much or how little can they eat, how sick they can get without dying... We live in a world in which it's conventional to treat an animal like a block of wood. ~ Jonathan Safran Foer

Thanks to the effort of our outstation team, we were able to mobilise food provisions to 600 families living in Kelantan, Penang, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka and Johor during the Raya period with each of these families receiving RM200 worth of provisions. Adding onto the current 368 families in Klang Valley, a total of 968 families were benefitted from this. Special thanks to the sponsors who have contributed especially Hong Leong Foundation and partially from Tesco Malaysia (where we also ordered the provisions from). ~ Vivian @ Kechara Soup Kitchen

More photos taken from our "Hari Raya Hampers" distribution this week. Making sure everyone of our clients have something to be cheerful about. Apart from food, daily used items such as hygiene products, kitchen utensils, assorted fabric items, stationary items and toys were also included into our hamper bags making it extra heavier this month!
