KP monthly quiz… who won??
Dear Friends,
Under the leadership of Liaison Henry Ooi and Liaison Dato’ Ruby, Kechara Paradise (KP) has expanded many folds. From a small outlet in SS2 many years back, KP now has 5 outlets… 4 in the Klang Valley and 1 in Penang.
Henry, Dato’ Ruby and the outlet managers and staff have been working hard to bring the Dharma to many people through the outlets. To ensure that they can better answer any queries customers may have, Henry initiated a monthly quiz to enhance their knowledge!
This year, their first quiz was held in February at Kechara Care Lounge. All managers and staff gathered at 10.30PM to accommodate those who work at the outlets that closes at 10PM. Everyone was excited yet tense! Henry kindly added incentives for winners using prizes! The top four staff and top 3 managers will win a 3 days 2 nights trip to Haadyai, Thailand while the next four high scorers wins a 3 days 2 night trip to Cameron Highlands!
I was told everyone studied up on the topics given by Henry very well. The topics were based on my blog post: “My Short Bio in pictures” and “If I had the financial support I needed“. Henry took the initiative to set over 100 questions for this quiz! Henry is willing to do anything for the Dharma… I am very happy for him.
Staff from Kechara Discovery and Kechara Care also joined in the quiz as they wanted to gain more knowledge too. Both departments also reach out to many people on a daily basis. I am glad they joined in!!
The winners for the quiz were Darren, Mitra, Davin and Henry Junior won for the staff category… Albert, Wan and James and Pastor Chia scored the highest for the manager’s category. Congratulations!
I am very happy everyone in KP joined in the quiz. Not only did they obtain more knowledge but it was a good bonding session between their Dharma brothers and sisters!

Quizzing is definitely a great way to test our knowledge. Impromptu thinking too!
Great effort by all.
In the age of the internet and Kaliyuga people can become very distracted by all manners of distractions. Methods to teach and convey has to change and has to reach people. Nowadays the dharma has to fit inside small mobile device as people are on the go all the time. The quiz is indeed a cool as an innovative way to allow people to learn and absorb new knowledge and information. May Lama Tsongkhapa lineage spread far and wide through the use of technology and technical know how.
That was the largest attendance in the history of Outlets Quiz night and also all participants were required to write their answers which were later marked for accuracy.
Previously, we used to form groups and take turns to answer.
There are many ways to learn Dharma, you can do it through reading books, including e-books, blog; attending class or having blog quiz or quiz such as this.
Learning Dharma can be fun and is fun.
Its so nice to have such things like this. It gives everyone a chance to learn the dharma and they even get rewarded for learning what is good for them. It is a fun and interactive way for people to get together and learn! Thank you for sharing Rinpoche, i hope that many people in the future participate in such competitions.
Thanks Rinpoche for the sharing.
It is fun to do quiz together! Not only can gain knowledge, and can get the reward too!!
