Sewaktu Pemerintahan Jajahan British

Be Patient

Give the room a chance to answer you. Patience is a virtue. And if after awhile, people don't respond, perhaps they don't know the answer or they did not see your question. Do ask again or address someone directly. Do not be offended if people do not or are unable to respond to you.

Be Relevant

Be polite

Avoid the use of language or attitudes which may be offensive to others. If someone is disrespectful to you, ignore them instead of arguing with them.

Should anyone wish to make an appeal or complaint about the behaviour of someone in the chatroom, please copy paste the relevant chat in an email to us at care@kechara.com and state the date and time of the respective conversation.

I have great interest in collecting recipes, thanks for the sharing. Sometimes it takes a lot to think what to cook and what vegetables to buy. To me life make it easier with recipes. It helps us to achieve our goals with simple advice to do and to follow and getting a delicious, tasty meal for a day.

Your choice of fruits and vegetables are very healthy, I loved them as well. A balanced diet is important to us because our body, organs and tissues need proper nutrition to work effectively and keeps us healthy.

Thank you once again for your thoughtful sharing, soon will be looking for asparagus, brussels sprouts, alfalfa sprouts, butternut squash and to try your recipe on lentil stew.

Sometimes it takes only a simple string of words to move our hearts. An act of kindness is so powerful that it can reach the hearts of those who really need help even ,the hearts of the blind as well as the deaf could feel it. And when we do something out of the goodness of our heart without asking for anything in return, we will be rewarded with that kindness as well. Never assume that any deed of kindness is futile. Rinpoche will not waste his chance to showcase or practice an act of kindness whenever Rinpoche see another human being, be it family, friends, acquaintance or even a strangers. That’s an example we should follow and always bare in mind. Even when we know that other people whom we don’t know won’t acknowledge our generosity, don’t let it stop us from being generous to them anyway. Well being kind to others can make the world a much brighter and peaceful place to live , even change the lives of others.
    Thank you for this sharing.

All religions share a fundamental goal. All religions teach moral precepts for perfecting the functions of mind, body, and speech. To respect each other and promote compassion and loving-kindness toward others .It does not matter of what religion we are, it all the same to have our mind transform to be better.
Wow …. Beautiful painting of Saraswati , looking at these two Indian depictions that Rinpoche particularly liked is a blessing. Truly stunning. And of the 2 Indian devotional songs is nice to hear even though do not understand the meaning of it.
Thank you Pastor Niral for sharing.

I not a fan of the Japanese Kaiju movie at all, first time coming across of this name…..Daimajin. Anyway glad to have knowledge of this Giant Demon God a stone warrior who protects the people against any harm. Interesting the local villagers, worshiped this mountain deity which was half-buried inside a mountain.
The story of Daimajin movies reminds us not to engage in actions that will cause suffering in future, for ourselves and others.
Thank you Pastor Niral for this wonderful sharing.

In Buddhism, female deities are quite popular and powerful. Apart from Palden Lhamo, there are also other female deities who are as powerful, for examples, Saraswati, Ekajati, Vajrayogini, etc. In terms of spirituality and the potential to become a Buddha, there is no difference between men and women. If we practise the Dharma diligently, we will become a better human being.

It is still a mystery how the Coral Castle was built. It is amazing how one man could single-handedly build a castle without using heavy machinery. There are many things science still cannot explain. Therefore, even if something has no scientific basis, it can be real, for examples, aliens, ufos, ghosts, gods, Buddhas, etc. We should always be open-minded so we can learn more.

The Fourth Panchen Lama, Lobzang Chokyi Gyeltsen

Soon after taking the abbacy of Tashilhunpo, Yonten Gyatso (yon tan rgya mtsho, 1589-1616), the Fourth Dalai Lama, visited there, arriving in Tibet from Mongolia for the first time. It would seem that Chokyi Gyeltsen played a role in the Tibetan acceptance of the Mongolian boy as the legitimate incarnation of Sonam Gyatso (bsod nams rgya mtsho, 1543-1588). The Fourth Dalai Lama requested Chokyi Gyeltsen accompanied him to Drepung, where he taught for some time, and then as he traveled to various Kadampa and Gelukpa monasteries in the region, including Reting (rwa sgreng) and various sites connected to Tsongkhapa’s activities in Lhoka.

We are so fortunate to have a guru who can lead us in our spiritual path by giving us the right method and teaching. Guru is indeed like our Spiritual Doctor, giving us the treatment to our sickness and prescribing the medicine to us. Unfortunately, we students do not follow the instructions and neglect the kindness of our guru. Hence, when our negative karma ripen, we should not blame anyone but us, why didn’t we take the ‘medicine’ prescribed ? No point complaining if we are the one who do not want to change.

Thank you Pastor David for sharing this article and explanation.

It is simply amazing how Edward Leedskalnin can move coral stones of up to 30 tonnes by himself with simple tools. Something which I think science can’t explained like how pyramid is built during that period without machines.

It is nice to see these warm stories of how human helped marine animals out from their life-threatening situation. There are a lot of attention given to prevent animal abuse in cases of dogs and cats. However, there are only a handful of attention given to marine animals.

Fishes aren’t given the attention that they deserve because their cries normally went unheard. However, fishes are animals too and they do feel what a human being will feel. We should treat all animals the same and stop creating more suffering for them.

The 14th Dalai Lama’s prayer to Dorje Shugden

If Dalai Lama has been worshipping Dorje Shugden for decades, consulted his oracles, composed prayers for Dorje Shugden, then how can he finally and suddenly see Dorje Shugden as negative? How could Dorje Shugden have ‘fooled’ or ‘misled’ such a high being as the Dalai Lama for so many years? That does not make sense. Since Dalai Lama is a highly realized being, he should be able to see Dorje Shugden as a superior being or a negative being from the very first time they ‘met’. This ability is inherent in highly attained beings such as H.H. the Dalai Lama. If we are to hypothetically say His Holiness the Dalai Lama can make mistakes, then this puts us all in a quandary because he saw Shugden as superior in earlier years but later as malevolent. Does this make sense? Because if he can make a mistake once, he can hypothetically make another one. So the ban and his current negative views about Dorje Shugden perhaps can be wrong? I am just presenting some hypothetics.

Thank you Rinpoche for sharing with us the mysterious part on Buddhism. I didn’t know divination is also practised in Buddhism, I have always thought divination is only practised by non-Buddhist. This shows how compassionate Buddha is, Buddha will use different ways to help people.

Since most of us don’t have the karma or merit to connect with Buddha directly, divination is the best way to seek advice from an enlightened being. Taking refuge and asking for advice from an enlightened being is safe because Buddha is omniscient and Buddha will give us guidance that will truly benefit us.

    Dromton Gyelwa Jungne

Dromtonpa has come down in history as both an enforcer of Second Propagation ethical standards and a holder of Atisa’s tantric lineage. According to the Blue Annals, Dromton was charged with expelling tantric practitioners from Atisa’s audience, this despite the fact that at Samye Chimpu (bsam yas ‘chims phu) Atisa gave Dromton initiation into tantric systems, including the Doha tradition of Bengal. The Blue Annals credits him with revising the translations of both sutra and tantras, including the Astasahastrika Prajnaparamita, and the Jnanasiddhi Tantra.

The Fifth Dalai Lama, Ngawang Lobzang Gyatso

In 1622 he was identified as the rebirth of the Fourth Dalai Lama, Yonten Gyatso (ta la’i bla ma 04, yon tan rgya mtsho, 1589-1616) by Lobzang Chokyi Gyeltsen (blo bzang chos kyi rgyal mtshan, 1570-1662), who had been the tutor to the Fourth Dalai Lama. Lobzang Chokyi Gyeltsen gave him the name Lobzang Gyatso (blo bzang rgya mtsho) and enthroned him at Drepung Monastery (’bras spungs dgon). Much later the Fifth Dalai Lama gave Lobzang Chokyi Gyeltsen the title of Panchen Lama.

Thank you for the sharing, I do agree in the article say man are responsible for everything in their life. In simply way man are born free and equal in dignity and rights. Only man use the reason and conscience with which they are endowed to act with humanity toward human, animal and planet.

I truly agree with this article. Every single action that man has to do and done has to connect to one another for perfection in this world.

The Unknown

The Known and unknown are both feared,
Known is being comfortable and stagnant,
The unknown may be growth and opportunities,
One shall never know if one fears the unknown more than the known.
Who says the unknown would be worse than the known?
But then again, the unknown is sometimes worse than the known. In the end nothing is known unless we endeavour,
So go pursue all the way with the unknown,
because all unknown with familiarity becomes the known.

Find one of the most beautiful temples in the world in Nara, Japan. It is the 1,267 year old Todai-ji temple that houses a 15 meter Buddha Vairocana statue who is a cosmic and timeless Buddha. Emperor Shomu who sponsored this beautiful temple eventually abdicated and ordained as a Buddhist monk. Very interesting history and story. One of the places everyone should visit- https://bit.ly/2VgsHhK

Silver Manjusri figure from Ngemplak Semongan (Indonesia). Apparently during the Shailendra Dynasty, Mahayana Buddhism was very strong in Indonesia. This Dynasty promoted Mahayana Buddhism and Manjushri was a principal Buddha of worship.

What the meat industry figured out is that you don't need healthy animals to make a profit.
Sick animals are more profitable... farms calculate how close to death they can keep animals without killing them. That's the business model. How quickly they can be made to grow, how tightly they can be packed, how much or how little can they eat, how sick they can get without dying... We live in a world in which it's conventional to treat an animal like a block of wood. ~ Jonathan Safran Foer
