The Mysterious Monsters – narrated by Peter Graves

May 22, 2012 | Views: 2,201

Dear Everyone,

Another favorite video of mine narrated by Peter Graves. He does a good job as he seems convinced in what he is narrating. I wish I can find a group of people genuinely interested in these creatures here where I am…nice to have a discussion group and share videos/information.

In this film, Lochness, Bigfoot and Yeti are explored. I have watched it numerous times and still enjoy it. I have it on my computer to watch again and again. Now you can access it anytime also.

This video has many interesting parts to it. You must go to a quiet space to watch. Put on the earphones so you miss no details.

In this video, do notice:

  1. They have captured on sonar a flipper of the lochness monster. Very excellent. Very convincing. Video footages of something (Nessie) swimming very fast in the Loch Ness. Excellent photographs of Nessie being out of the water partially near well known landmarks giving a good perspective to size.
  2. Peter Hurkos, a world reknowned psychic who gives a dazzling display of his abilities when he describes a plaster cast of Bigfoot’s foot without seeing anything.
  3. Many interesting encounters are re-enacted between normal everyday people and bigfoot. Some of the encounters are downright frightening but irresistable to watch. You will enjoy. You must watch!!!
  4. Interesting footprints of the yeti in the Himalayas captured on still film.

There are many more things to watch out for in this video. Do watch carefully and share with friends.

As I said in my previous posts, Mysteries if this nature are some of my favorite subjects since very young.

National Geographic American Paranormal – Bigfoot

This documentary contains an excellent explanation on the Patterson-Gimlin footage of Bigfoot dubbed Patty. It goes through scientific methods to prove the image on the film is authentic. Please watch and be convinced finally. I’ve always believed the footage was genuine. Mr. Gimlin in all the interviews I’ve watched seemed very genuine and suffered tremendously as a result of the footage.

Curious about the legendary Yeti? Not sure what to believe? Here is an article that explores a range of sources, from folktales to newspaper reports, detailing sightings and encounters with the elusive creature, who has been a part of the very fabric of various Himalayan communities for thousands of years. Read about religious beliefs, myths, fables and stories by scholars and travellers alike, and realise that there is more to the Yeti than you previously thought.

In 1967, Bob Gimlin and Roger Patterson stumbled across an incredible sight whilst out in Bluff Creek, in the California wilderness. At a creek which had been freshly washed-out by recent floods, they witnessed a female Bigfoot swiftly traverse the rugged landscape. Since their filmed encounter with the Bigfoot, who has since been nicknamed Patty, many have disputed the authenticity of their recording but no one has been able to successfully prove that it is a fake.

Credits for this video goes to entirely to windvale for the original footage. 👍

Dear friends, This is a very good documentary on bigfoot. It is very scientific and examines a new footage of a bigfoot running very fast. Examines and gives you reasons why this cannot be a man or a person in a suit..very nice. I’ve not seen this one before. – https://video.tsemtulku.com/videos/BigfootStabilised.mp4

Thanks for the video link, Rinpoche. It is a very well researched and made documentary on Big Foot. It is great that science is giving importance to this legend through in-depth studies and experiments. Let’s hope there will be more evidence that proves its existence.

I’ve got news for anyone who isn’t already aware, there WAS AND IS a real Sasquatch body that was found dead, witnessed & photographed by dozens of people back in the 60’s right after the Columbus Day wind storm in Oregon. Crews were sent out in various areas to clear the mountain roads of all the fallen trees due to the storm. One crew found the body, crushed by a downed Spruce, killing the being. It was face down under the tree & already dead. MANY people witnessed this. It was loaded onto a flatbed truck & hauled off by authorities. There is/was a case number and strong evidence that the bones & complete autopsy & any other lab work, are in the possession of the Smithsonian Institution, secretly of course. There are just too many witnesses to dispute this event. The government seized all the photo’s they could from various people, but not all were recovered. It was described as a female, 7′ 6″ tall and weighed over 600 lbs. I hope that the few people still alive, with possession of these photo’s, will somehow get them onto the internet. Time will tell. This incident truly happened. Crews had to cut the section of the huge Spruce tree away, and block & tackle or some type of hoist had to be used to load the body onto the flatbed truck. Authorities ran everyone off rather quickly. I’ve read several eyewitness testimonies. Back then, the story was covered by local media, but the powers that be, killed the story, therefore never making it to mainstream media. If you don’t believe me, google it. It can also be found on a couple youtube channels. Use the words: “1960’s Columbus Day wind storm in Oregon, results in recovered Sasquatch body killed by tree”, or something along those lines.

On second thought, I think that these monsters are very clear evidence that there are strange beings that have not been scientifically categorized by scientists yet, perhaps in part, they run around stealthily and avoid all human contact. This goes to show that science does not know everything yet and there are many creatures and existences that Buddha talked about that has not been proven by science.

  8. Sean Wang on Jun 30, 2012 at 9:31 pm

This is a very interesting video. I believe that all these monsters do exist. I also believe that they come in peace. When they describe these creatures harming humans, actually, it is because the humans foolishly provoked the creature or infiltrated/destroyed the creature’s homes.

I think that Nessie is in a plesiosaurus that was able to evolve to adapt to our current surroundings, and yet remained in the same external form.

Malaysia also has a ‘bigfoot’ type cryptid called Orang Mawas. It is described as being about 10 ft (2.4–3 m) tall, bipedal and covered in black fur, and has been reported feeding on fish and raiding orchards. I hope I get to see an Orang Mawas one day.

I wonder if those monsters in the videos are the real monsters or we are if we check carefully in the mirror. Rinpoche said before in a talk monsters are wrongly afflicted. Even monsters have a soft spot for their young and protect their young and loved ones against other creatures or harmful elements. So we can’t generalize that all monsters are totally evil, monsters have their soft spot for certain things. I am using monsters and people who are very deluded in this context, that no one is totally 100% negative. If people are never 100% negative or they do not have friends or companions, then it is our projection that makes them monsters to us.

  13. Shirley Tan on Jul 9, 2010 at 1:56 am

I am convinced that we are not the only ones. So many different types of beings may and can exist in different realms or even in the same realm as us. I have always loved stories on UFOs, Big Foot, Loch Ness, etc. It seems really limiting if we are the only ones.
I was also a great fan of mystical beings such as mermaids and fairies, etc. It seems to me that life can appear in many forms and that the human form is probably the most ‘boring’ form. There is nothing physically outstanding about our species, except our minds. Hence, it is important that we nurture our minds most of all.
Rinpoche is always finding ways to feed our minds and train our minds. More than anything else, to break its habituational mind sets. I think it is great that Rinpoche shares all these stories and videos on monsters, gods, ghosts and etc. It helps us think more.
    Thank you, Rinpoche.

Yeti, Big Foot, Sasquatch the Missing Link, all these are the mysteries of mankind where contradictory comments or hypothesis arises whenever it is brought up in the scientific debate. To me, I do think they exist but perhaps these beings are over live the time continuum that laps to our current world (eg: Rip Van Winkle Syndrome). These are sentient beings and in previous life might happen to be one of our mothers. To me it doesn’t really matter as long as Yeti/Big Foot is alive/exist, we should pray for their safety from poacher or hunters or scientists. May they remain as a mystery, and continue to live on until the end of time.

  15. David Lai on Jul 7, 2010 at 4:19 am

Monster is a term of endearment Rinpoche uses for his students and sometimes said with a sarcastic tone to insinuate what wayward students that we are. I had always found it very endearing and I sometimes use that on my dear friends especially the closer ones. There is another variant that Rinpoche use to use for a female student…He used to call her Monstera and it usually enunciated with a Germanic accent.
I believe Bigfoots, yetis and sasquash and commonplace in Tibet and apparently, Monlam, Rinpoche’s Tibetan attendant have seen one. To Tibetans, they are not mythical creatures but are very much a part of their world. It was said that Yetis would offer thier rarest or rare milk to Dromo Geshe Rinpoche (a very famous and attained Lama) and he would make highly sought after medicinal pills out of it. Just thought I share this with you guys.

  16. Peter on Jul 6, 2010 at 12:30 pm

    Terima Kasih Rinpoche!
LOL! I guess we don’t need to go to the Himalayas or Scotland to sight these fabulous monsters but just a look at my own mirror and that would have suffice!
These kind of videos remind me of what my own father used to follow on back in the 70’s and he was so into these stuff and I recall how he used to fondly share with me about these similar strange creatures and phenomena which is one indication that just when modern man thought he knew it, every now and then, new species and creatures are being discovered all over this planet which even scientists are oft left baffled.
But as Buddhists, we have always been made aware of how infinite are sentient beings as karma is and yet when both are extinguished, our great vows to benefit all ever remains, as shown in the leadership and guidance of Rinpoche!

  17. margaretlee on Jul 5, 2010 at 9:06 am

When I was young, I remember that I was very inclined to always find out more about the existence of monsters, ghosts, and UFOs. At a very young age, I have already formulated the believe that humans are not the only form of species of existence in the world. Story lines of sighting some kind of dragons swimming in the sea or foot prints left by Big Foot always fansinated me. In particular, Big Foot created a big wave of mysterious controversy in the 70’s. The two videos showing Scientists were trying all sorts of means like polygraphs or hynosis to verify the sighting of big foots were reportedly genuine cases. I see them as giant apes, they could very well be the missing links in the evolutionary process that still exist in this 21st century.

These monsters are classified under the animal realm.
I like them too and I see them almost everyday. There’s alot of monsters in kh..hehheeh
And if one lives in Bangsar in a house in Lorong Maarof near BSC!! The monster is around 13 years old and loves buffets, and at times sounds like a frog.

    Dear Rinpoche,
I think that all the mysterious monsters do exist. I just wonder what realm are they from in samsara as they are different from other animals as bigfoot is half-human and half-ape?
I really wish I could see these extrordinary creatures one day. Thank you for the wonderful information as I am quite a fan of these fascinating things.
An Ocean of Prayers and with folded hands,

This is a very nice teaching on karma, cause and effect. When we are kind and loving, we will naturally attract people who are the same. Sometimes we only treat people who are nice to us nicely. For people who we don’t like, we don’t show them the same kindness. If we really want to practice what Buddha Shakyamuni has taught, we have to change this attitude. We should always be nice to people regardless how they treat us.

When we are kind to people, it should be without an agenda. Being kind is our nature, it should not be with conditions. If we always talk about world peace, this is how we can contribute towards it. Be kind and be nice.

In the morning of 17 November 2013, Joanna suddenly experienced sharp pains and her water broke, alarmingly with traces of blood. She was immediately admitted into the hospital for emergency checkup and delivery. Joanna was in pain throughout the night and continuously recited Dharmapala Setrap’s mantra and prayed to Rinpoche for a smooth and safe delivery for both mother and child. Outside the delivery room, Joanna’s family members also recited Setrap’s mantra non-stop, seeking his blessings and protection while Kechara’s Puja House Team performed an emergency Setrap Puja for both Joanna and her baby.

Finally at 11.50pm, Joanna collapsed with an asthma attack and the doctors decided to perform an emergency cesarean. As the doctor prepared to make the first incision, the baby’s head miraculously started to emerge and shortly after, baby Jamyang was born. Worryingly, his body was turned purplish due to the long labour but thanks to the blessings of the Guru and Three Jewels, he recovered very quickly.

We were at Whole Foods Market buying items for offerings. Rinpoche likes Whole Foods because it sells organic groceries which are kind to the earth and help people to lead a more compassionate lifestyle. With a wide range of vegetarian and vegan items, the store also provides Rinpoche with the opportunity to get interesting items for making offerings. Rinpoche always encourages us to make abundant offerings, especially of things we ourselves enjoy, because we need to generate a great amount of merit to support our spiritual practice. This is a topic Rinpoche has spoken frequently about in the past, for example in this teaching: https://www.tsemrinpoche.com/tsem-tulku-rinpoche/buddhas-dharma/floating-market-dharma-sharing-on-offerings.html

As we were having lunch, Rinpoche spotted an elderly gentleman out in the cold soliciting donations for homeless veterans. Rinpoche watched him for a while, and saw he was greeting every single person with a smile and a very pleasant manner. Touched by his dedication to the less fortunate, Rinpoche immediately asked us to buy a hot coffee and pastry for him. We went outside and Rinpoche gave him the drink and pastry, and had a nice conversation with him. That is when we found out he is in his early 70s! The man said he had been fundraising for 2.5 years now, ever since his younger brother (who was a veteran) passed away in the hospital. After speaking for a little while, Rinpoche made a donation to the charity and bought some Christmas items from him. The man thanked him profusely and said Rinpoche was the nicest person he has ever met.

Tsem Rinpoche was travelling in Willow Creek, Northern California a few weeks ago. We were there to take in the various sights and areas that Rinpoche had been reading about since he was a child. It was a very exciting trip for everyone, especially for Rinpoche, because for many years now Rinpoche had spoken about Bigfoot and now there he was, in the epicenter of the Bigfoot world!

One of the places we had to visit whilst in Willow Creek was the birthplace of the famous Bigfoot burger. Rinpoche was pretty insistent that we visit the Early Bird restaurant before we left the Willow Creek area. As soon as we entered, we realised why the insistence. Rinpoche walked in and immediately connected with the owner. Rinpoche then explained Green Tara and her practice to Ms. LeeAnn who was open, accepting and listened intently to everything Rinpoche said. Rinpoche ended the conversation by gifting LeeAnn with the Green Tara tsa tsa that you see in Rinpoche’s hands in this picture.

Wherever Rinpoche goes, he always aims to give out at least one Buddha image during his outing, so that people can connect with the Three Jewels, whether it is through a tsa tsa, statue or pendant. For this reason, Rinpoche’s car always has a box of gifts on standby, full of books and other Dharma items, ready to be given away.

As more people are aware of how animals are cruelly killed, how much resources are wasted to keep the animals, more people have made a choice to change to a vegan diet. Another reason is that people are also more aware of how meat is harmful to our health.

It is nice to know a supermarket that specialises in vegan products has opened its door to give people a healthier choice. Not only more supermarkets like this are opening, but more companies are also investing in producing plant-based products to replace meat. Some of the plant-based products have a texture and even a taste of meat. This will entice people to change their diet.

Having a Dharma centre anywhere will surely benefit many sentient beings and the teachings of Buddha will spread then. To have such a centre, is where we can learn the whole path to liberation. Dharma centre is where Dharma will be preserved for the benefit of future generations. A powerful place for everyone to practice, develop, grow and contribute to the society.
Kechara Forest Retreat has come a long way to where it is now. We have to thank Rinpoche and those involved. With Rinpoche compassion, guidance, inspiration of our guru, Tsem Rinpoche Kechara had seen grown from a small place to a retreat centre now.
May Kechara continue to flourish and expand further with the second phase and third phase projects.

A few years ago, I think in 2005, His Eminence Tsem Rinpoche and a few of us went to Kathmandu, Nepal to buy Buddha statues for our outlets in Malaysia, it was around July and it was a rainy season in Nepal, so it rained almost daily during the daytime and it made the shopping trip somewhat troublesome, because the statue shops in Nepal are mostly in Boudanath and it was not a covered shopping mall, you have to go from shop to shop in the rain. We were staying in Hyatt Regency Kathmandu then and it was raining quite heavily as we were waiting at the lobby for the taxis to bring us to Boudanath, Rinpoche commented that it was another tiresome rainy day, and he said to us “You guys wait here, I am going to talk to my friends”, then Rinpoche left the seat, walked towards the hotel entrance, and start staring at the gloomy sky while mumbling something. The few of us who looked at each other, and all turned to stared at Rinpoche, this lasted for about 5 minutes, then Rinpoche walked back to us and said “It’s ok now, I just talked to them and they are OK with it, we can leave soon.” True enough, in about 5 minutes, the downpour turned into drizzle, and we hopped into the taxis, by the time the taxis were speeding along the bustling streets of Kathmandu, the rain stopped completely.

This is a warehouse full of Buddhist and non-Buddhist items, it is huge, but it is not the merchandise for any online shop, these are GIFTS, to be given out for free, these are His Eminence Tsem Rinpoche’s gifts to the world.

Tsem Rinpoche first came to Malaysia 23 years ago, with only two suitcases of his monk robes, toiletries, Dharma books, and some protection chakras and talisman to give away to people, that’s all, no sponsor, no friends, no …students, no nothing. But Rinpoche has Dharma knowledge, kindness and compassion, and generosity, and he always gives, in the beginning he could only afford to give away Dharma books, protection talisman, “cheap” plastic Buddha statues to people that he met, but he continued to give, as much as he could, no matter how little he had.

Rinpoche has been consistently assisting the underprivileged even at a time when he himself did not have very much. In Gaden Monastery, Rinpoche was well known to visit elderly Tibetan laypeople who were without families, to bring them food, gifts and spend some time with them. Rinpoche also raised funds for various social welfare initiatives, for example the Gaden Shartse Clinic as well as this community hall and nursery school in the local Tibetan refugee settlement who erected a sign as a token of appreciation for Rinpoche’s assistance.

I must thank my dharma blog team who are great assets to me, Kechara and growth of dharma in this wonderful region. I am honoured and thrilled to work with them. I really am. Maybe I don't say it enough to them, but I am saying it now. I APPRECIATE THESE GUYS VERY MUCH!

The Unknown

The Known and unknown are both feared,
Known is being comfortable and stagnant,
The unknown may be growth and opportunities,
One shall never know if one fears the unknown more than the known.
Who says the unknown would be worse than the known?
But then again, the unknown is sometimes worse than the known. In the end nothing is known unless we endeavour,
So go pursue all the way with the unknown,
because all unknown with familiarity becomes the known.
~Tsem Rinpoche

What the meat industry figured out is that you don't need healthy animals to make a profit.
Sick animals are more profitable... farms calculate how close to death they can keep animals without killing them. That's the business model. How quickly they can be made to grow, how tightly they can be packed, how much or how little can they eat, how sick they can get without dying... We live in a world in which it's conventional to treat an animal like a block of wood. ~ Jonathan Safran Foer
