Stop Koreans/Chinese from BOILING DOGS AND CATS ALIVE – Fulfill the UN Millennium promise!

Author: ali dolloso
Target: World Summit, UN SG Ban Ki-moon, UN EP, ISO, UNCivSoc, UN FAO, UN SDGs, Globe Legislators, Chinese Gov, SKorean Gov

SIGN THE PETITION HERE: http://www.thepetitionsite.com/862/504/041/your-millenium-declaration-for-a-better-world-your-a-korean-sowhat-about-korean-dog-torture/?taf_id=9342680&cid=fb_na

In S.E Asia, they are still boiling alive, cats and dogs. UN Secretary – General Ban Ki Moon states “We must not fail the billions who look to the international community to fulfill the promise of the Millennium Declaration for a better world.”

A better world? – To create this, stop Chinese and Koreans from deliberatly torturing animals for Dog Torture Soup! The torture for satisfaction, food and money. It is all on the black market. That is very very very bad.

The Koreans love Dog Torture Soup. Dog torture soup does not belong in a world that recognizes the UN Millennium Goals. Dog torture soup was developed 2,000 years ago by a sick society based in fear, bitterness, anger and resentment. The old resentment is so ingrained now, and projected onto the dogs. We have all seen the photos of dogs boiling alive.

Dogs and cats DO NOT DESERVE the heinous crime of such a painful death. I have burnt myself with boiling water and it REALLY HURTS. Imagine being being boiled alive!!

I have spoken to young Koreans who say, that “yes, the dogs should be killed with EXTRA PAIN because it makes the meat taste better.” These people need education. There is a sickness, in your society. Until you fix it, you will fail in the UN Millennium goals of real education.

Please work with UNESCO to educate young Koreans and young Chinese, that torturing animals for tasty and tender flesh, is barbaric and does not belong in the Millennium Development goals of an educated society.

These people are still blaming dogs, projecting their hate and anger, onto dogs. This is a mindset from 2,000 years ago when someone said dogs were sinners and deserved to be punished. Get real. Please.

Koreans and Chinese are still boiling alive 20 million cats and dogs a year. If we are in the era of the United Nations UNESCO Education, Science, Culture then, education and science will tell you that animals feel pain like we feel, therefore the culture of torture, is wrong.

If the UN still allows this torture to and under the “Culture” Banner of UNESCO, it is as to say that culture=torture=culture=torture, just as bullfighting is legal and part of culture in some countries in Europe. We can’t let this go on for the next 2,000 years?

Another billion dogs (and cats, pigs, and chickens too) could be boiled alive.

Hundreds of thousands of people around the world are horrified at the boiling alive culture of China and Korea.

Yet the UN has not even considered humane welfare and slaughter, for animals of trade, as part of its Millennium Education. Well, torture does not belong in an educated society.

UNESCO needs to do the right thing and start to educate the people, that the culture of torture does not belong in the New Millennium.

It’s really painful to see how people boil boiling alive, cats and dogs to make food. These painful acts really should stop and how can they stand seeing the animals in pain in the boiling pot?

Imagine if someone boils us alive and can we stand it? If we can’t so to the animals. It is no different in terms of pain. We feel the pain and animals have the feeling of pain too. Stop this act to stop hurting more animals. They have their right to live just like us. We do not own this earth and we should share with the rest. If we don’t want someone to hurt us then we should not do the same to others.

  2. Stella Cheang on Oct 13, 2016 at 4:59 pm

The animals can be seen and heard squealing in pain as they are tortured and prepared to be slaughtered by people. It is out of pure ignorance that such actions against animals are happening. If only people know what is the outcome of their action, they will not dare to do it. It is therefore important to impart Buddha Dharma on these most difficult people so that many beings are be relieved of suffering immediately. Thank you Rinpoche for this article to remind us once again, that animals need us to be their voice. Animals can feel pain too, we must not harm them.

  3. Chris Chong on May 17, 2016 at 6:54 pm

This boiling alive makes the meat tastier is just a sick and barbaric theory. It makes me pondor how karma manifested for them to have such deluded mind which will create more and more negative karma. This is so scary because it is like a sinkhole where u can only sink dragged down by negative karma.

    • Adrian on Jun 28, 2016 at 5:57 pm

Perhaps these animals that are been boiled alive was in fact previous lives of people who did these cruel things as well as those who ate the torture soup. If karma is true, this should be the result.

  8. Pavara Lam on Jun 1, 2015 at 9:56 pm

It is really sad to see that people enjoy torturing animals so much. They really don’t know how much it actually hurts. In fact the more they do that the more they are likely to suffer a horrible fate later in their life.
Of course they won’t realize that it is totally not comfortable.
These kind of cases are really common as nowadays people already have the seed planted in them that tells them to kill and do stuff that are totally unorthodox to animals.
People should enforce laws that protect such things from happening, since we can get protection from these kind of things under the law, so why can’t animals?? They are similar to us in many ways so there isn’t any reason to allow people to kill them.
I hope that these kind of things will stop soon, as it is really revolting and cruel to do such an act.

  9. Edward Ooi on May 24, 2015 at 11:31 pm

The 3 things that I have learnt from this blog post are:

No.1 Dogs and Cats are not meant for us to eat, actually no animal should. Most people in the world would have this kind of mindset where some animals are more superior than the rest and that I would called species-ism. It is not right to think some animals to have feelings and other do not have. Why do we find some animals acceptable to be eaten? For example, it is very not acceptance for Hindus to eat beef because cows are very sacred to Hindus. It is common in America for people to eat horse meat but it is not in Asia. It is acceptable in France to eat Foie gras or goose liver, but it is not eaten commonly in Asia. What I am saying is that, we should not judge other people’s perspectives because all of us are born and raised in different cultures. Even though if we are vegetarian, we still should not judge other people. If we really want to do something about these kinds of cruel acts towards animals, we should really start by convincing our close ones and friends.

No.2 We must always remember that every single being has feelings and emotions. It is very cruel to ignore the animals’ suffering while we use them for transportation, sports, food. Animals should not be treated in that way, they should be treated just like how we treat other people. A lots of people think that animals have no feelings and we humans are the only being with feelings and is the smartest creature of all but in reality, animals do have feelings and there are some animals that are even smarter some humans such as dolphins.

No.3 I am happy that more people are becoming aware of these cruel activities and speaking up and taking actions to stop the cruelty. I wish that the whole world will eventually know about this. Also, may everyone in the world eventually becomes vegetarians and no more animals will be killed as sports and for their fur and meat.

Thank you Rinpoche for sharing to us such cruel and inhumane practice on animals. To keep them in such a touchering condition in order to keep them fresh for consumption is totally unthinkable.

I have sign up for the partition against such practice.I certainly hope the support from others would ban such barbaric form of delicacy of induce pain and suffering.

It’s been going on in Vietnam for quite some time as well. It is unthinkably ignorant and repulsive to believe that the more an animal suffer before it dies, the tastier it’s meat. Be it dog, cat, pig or cow, no life should be taken away this way.

I am not sure whether i have commented on this post or not but if so, i wish to do to it again to simply raise awareness of the situation.

I cannot believe that people actually thought of doing such a torturous activity to such loving animals. I mean, i already cannot bear the thought of this happening to chickens, and now it is happening to dogs! It makes me sick. really.

Dogs are such kind and loving animals. I can’t imagine eating them or having them as SOUP! That is insane. I have signed the petition and i hope that many others have as well. I have watched so many videos and pictures of animals getting tortured and slaughtered but I have never seen one so cruel as this. I am not taking about the people eating dogs, I am talking about people boiling them. How can anyone even do such things? To me, it doesn’t matter what type of animals you kill, a life is a life. But the one thing that matters to me is that the way how you kill them. I can accept people eating dogs and cats (does not mean that I don’t care) because we live in such a world but I never thought that so many people would do this kind of things. They boil them alive, eat them and then recommend that doing that will make their meat taste better. How inhuman can they be? Why would people do such things just for a few more “tasty bites”? I think this is the worst thing a person can do to animals. Do anyone even know what I am talking about? The feeling of having your skin getting boil, maybe you don’t think that these problems are important but please think about their feelings. Animals have feelings just like us, they are not objects, food, toys, clothing and accessories. They are living beings. Please help to stop such cruel acts.

It is really sad to know of that dogs and cats are being boiled alive by Koreans and Chinese just for the sake of releasing stress, anger, food and money.

It is really hard to believe that just because they are not happy, stressed and need to eat that they have to vent it all out to innocent dogs and cats.

I guess the reason why they put it out on to these poor animals is because it is not a punishable crime in Korea for torturing and killing animals on purpose which makes them think that it is ok to do so.

Signing this petition may not be of any life saving benefit to us human beings but we should all sign this petition for the sake of the hundreds of thousands of dogs and cats lives who face the fear of being boiled alive if we don’t do our part to stop it.

  41. Emma on May 5, 2015 at 9:55 pm

As a Chinese, I have to admit the truth of this news with my regret.

My country developed hardly under a tough environment. During that time, despite we have a vast territory, the wars and harsh natural environment caused a large amount of citizens starved to death. They were poor, they were hungry, they were uneducated, they were hopeless. I am a lucky girl who is living in the new age of China with dignity. I can’t image the feeling of being hungry or the fear that be separated from the one I love by death. But, I know, in that time, they had no conception of pets. They ate whatever that can make them to survive. Not only dogs, but anything. Yap, I mean ANYTHING,mice, tree bark even the dead human body. Like I said, I am the lucky one who is benefited from the sacrifices borne by our ancestors. So I have no right to blame what they done.

Well, all the words above seem like an excuse because we are living in better conditions but the killing is going on. Yes, again, I apologise for those inhumane actions although I never hurt any animals; as a Chinese, I have to apologise; and apologise to a lot of things.

Since I studied overseas, no matter where I am, people ask me “Is this true that Chinese eat dogs?” We did, but we won’t do it anymore. There are several areas still eating dogs but the things are changing, we are making positive process. The baby boomer regards dogs like other food material, like turkey but the new generation treats dog like real friend and they are persuading their parents to think in the same way.

Chinese are changing but I am wondering, when will the rest of world modify the image of China? I know the power of media, I know there will be more and more attentions focus on “eating dogs”. But, can we have the opportunity to show how other groups are protecting the endangered items? Can the world see the people work in desert and try to find a way for solving the scarcity?

We are the new generation of Chinese, we are the one will represent the future of China. We are appreciated the amazing graces from natural and we are devoting our knowledge to benefit the next generation.

    ❤️No more killings but love❤️
The comment is only my personal view with no offensive, thanks.

      Dear Emma,

Thank you for supporting this cause. I am very happy that you support this cause just after you know about this. There are many like you that have things like that going on in their countries but they choose to turn a blind eye on the situation.

I rejoice that you have spoke up on this and is aware about the situation. I agree that we are in the modern age today and behaviours like this should change. However, many people do not want to change that because they deem it as a “culture” and that they feel it is only right to be doing so since their ancestors are doing so. What they have forgotten is that in the past we are not as educated and we are forced to that because of the ignorance of ours. Today with all the advancements and knowledge that we have gathered, it is not right for us to be turning a blind eye to the situation already.

We know what our actions are doing to Mother Earth. Why harm these beings when they can easily be our mothers or even someone close to us in our previous lives.

Once again Emma, I would like to thank you for supporting this cause. More people should be made aware of these inhumane acts. Not only to dogs and cats, but to all walks of life.

  48. Lucas Roth on May 5, 2015 at 1:10 am

Wow, this is why I am vegetarian, to help reduce the number of animals killed in terrible ways. This is so much pain and it reminds me why I became vegetarian. How can people do this? If they were boiling for a long time while they are alive and conscious while this was happening they would cry and truly understand the meaning of cruelty, it is a mix of so much pain, ignorance and selfishness.

I have signed the petition already and you should too. To stop the pain. This is just one form of cruelty and there are many more too. We should all join hands to stop cruelty and show people what is happening and they are not seeing. We must stop all this pain. Is this what it means to be human? To kill and be merciless and to be selfish?

This is long pain, burning until your whole body is steamed and you are still alive. That is so cruel. There is so much more, you just need to open up your eyes and see all the abuse and we all can do this, then we can all help.

  49. Uncle Eddie on May 4, 2015 at 5:52 pm

There must be a way to stop such “atrocities” being created by such heartless, horrified, torturous and demonic killing by so called human beings. Such heinous crimes caused 20 million of cats and dogs lives to be boiled alive every year, under the so-called madness camouflage of “trade”. Why then, do these barbaric creatures not boil their own children, brothers, relatives, fathers and mothers? Yes, a torturous killing of such cruelty is certainly abominable and inhumane to the highest degree, and how come the World compassionate authority like the “UNESCO” allows it? This certainly is madness and mindless for any country to allow it! Yes, I have certainly signed the petition, and do not want any part of such mad culture! Om Mani Padme Hung.

Unacceptable . They just kill for fun. Imagine u just get boiling water pour on ur hand. How pain is that. Those human will deserves what they deserved after their life.

    • Carmen Koo on May 4, 2015 at 5:50 am

It’s sad that humans (not all, some) have to show their “dominance” by ill-treating powerless animals, having total control over them and rejoice in the fun that they have in torturing other living beings. It’s sick and digusting that some of the human race can do such things.

Someone spilled boiling hot soup on me before and I was in alot of pain. The hot soup was in contact with my skin for I guess, 5 seconds? So imagine how much pain these dogs, cats and live animals will have being dumped into a cauldron of boiling hot liquid for minutes till they die!

Thank you for signing the petition, please help spread the word to bring awareness on this. Together, we can save so many lives.

  79. JP on May 2, 2015 at 4:44 pm

I have signed the petition. Many animals go through tremendous amount of suffering in the farms waiting to be slaughtered. If only more of us make a choice to stop eating meat, then less animals will suffer as a result.

There are many cuisines out there that are inhumane as well such as:

    1) Eating raw fish (sashimi) when it’s still alive
    2) Goose liver pate. Force feeding geese until their liver swells.
    3) Kobe beef. Not letting the cows move in the cages.
    4) Eating raw monkey brain from the monkey head when it’s still alive.
    5) Scrapping off scales when the fish is still alive.

    And the list goes on.

The only way to stop them is to stop the demand. Be vegetarian!

Thank you Rinpoche for bringing this up. It is really heart broken seeing the dogs got tortured like that. I have signed the petition. Really hope more and more people are aware of this and hope China and Korea and other countries who eat dogs and cats can stop this immediately.

  82. Julien Roth on May 2, 2015 at 11:42 am

I have read about many terrible things that have happened to animals, but by far this is one of the worst. As humans we are so selfish to do this. We put these animals in pain just for our needs. In this case, its food. We are so unaware of the suffering that we put animals into. And not just dogs, all animals that have been put into slaughter houses to be killed for their meat.

I hope that many many people sign the petition like i have. I hope that the petition reaches its goals. And i hope that the world stops this inhumane practice. Thank you for sharing Rinpoche.

    • Lyn Phng on May 2, 2015 at 3:52 pm

      Dear Julien,
I totally agree with you about not killing animals across the board, including fish and farmed animals. Good point there. And thank you Rinpoche for bringing into light this atrocious practice.

  83. Han on May 2, 2015 at 9:52 am

Just imagine these are your pets! Your loyal friends and end up boiled and cooked in the pot? Its sad to see this inhumane torture scene towards animals, may the petition help to stop this cruelty act immediately.
GREATEST REMINDER from the above message “Dogs and cats DO NOT DESERVE the heinous crime of such a painful death. I have burnt myself with boiling water and it REALLY HURTS. Imagine being being boiled alive!!”

  84. Edward Ooi on May 2, 2015 at 3:25 am

I think throughout the whole blog post, the sentence that really annoyed me is “yes, the dogs should be killed with EXTRA PAIN because it makes the meat taste better.” It’s truly scary what a person is capable to do just for a little bit more taste in their food. This case is even worse than Crush (A blog post Rinpoche posted a few years ago). I would say that is because those cats and dogs were boiled to death, imagine yourself being thrown into a pot of hot boiling water and there is no way to get out of the pot. And this kind of death ins’t like jumping to your death or whatever instant deaths, those animals suffered through hell before they die. I don’t think anyone would want to go through hell they die, so if don’t like it the idea then please don’t do it to other sentient beings.

  85. Chee Ks on May 2, 2015 at 1:00 am

    谢谢仁波切,这实在太殘忍了,人类这样烹煮动物,非常不仁道,动物也是有生命的,这样的作法应该被遣责,阻止这种残害动物的行径一再地发生!

  86. Jace Chong on May 1, 2015 at 10:58 pm

Need to reach out as many people as possible to raise awareness and to pressure these people not to do these awful acts. Young people need to be taught so they do not continue these legacy. Thank you Rinpoche for sharing this.

    • Pastor Han Nee on May 1, 2015 at 11:06 am

Yes, Boon, it’s often out of ignorance and having the wrong view, that people go for what they see as “exotic” food( the product of killing a life). We need to create awareness and educate people about how wrong it is to kill another being to satisfy our craving for food.

Human beings should transcend base cravings like these, abandon harming of others and develop kindness and compassion to realize the highest potentials in our nature as humans.

  101. Sapphire on May 1, 2015 at 8:45 am

At the same time where it will be really great if the UN will be able to step on to take action, we ourselves should do what we can within the control of our own hands. Start educating if you know of someone who commits these acts.

  102. Alice Tay on May 1, 2015 at 1:25 am

I feel sad with this article especially the photo showed that the dog is like screaming for help.

Human beings have tortured the animals in order to fulfill their satisfaction in terms of food and money. They are no longer bothering the hurt feeling of the animals.

As we know, the animals are categorized as the 3 lower realms where their intelligence is not high. They are unable to understand the dharma, not even practice the dharma but only wait for the death with karma.

I am wondering that there are many stray dogs or cats everywhere nowadays and the figure is keep on increasing. Also the findings showed that Koreans and Chinese are still boiling alive 20 million cats and dogs a year. With this increased figure, have we ever think that due to our wrong view to hurt the animals in this life or our previous life may cause us to rebirth as an animal ????

Appreciate the hard work and effort from those bodies that urge the people to stop torture or hurt the animals.

Thank you Rinpoche for this sharing. I have signed the petition & shared with my family members and friends.

UN Secretary – General Ban Ki Moon illustrate clearly that people involved in this trade are very sick mentally.

Because of some twisted thinking that had been handed down and innocent dogs/cats had to suffer such painful death is ridiculous.

I really don’t understand why some human still can so brave to kill them and see them in suffering. They breathe same oxygen with us. They living in same world with us. They just don’t speak the same language with us. But it doesn’t mean that human can do cruel action to them.

I have attached a sad photo which i took in Hanoi, Vietnam on last two weeks. The dog has put inside the small cage with some chains. I feel myself very helpless because i cannot help the dog. I really want to release the dog out from the cage but i’m scare. And the people in Hanoi are not really friendly and they also eat dog meat. From my first sight to this dog inside the cage, my heart tells me that this dog will going to be their food.

I hope all the people around the world understand to stop killing animals.

OM MANI PEDME HUM

This is the human hell for those poor animals. The animals are suffering immense physical pain before they die. When an animal is terrified and suffered painful death, the chemicals corresponding to those emotions are present in muscle tissue which people eat. The chemicals released to the muscle tissue are toxic. STOP torturing and killing of the animal and be kind to your own self. We need to stop it, so that we do not create a cause for it to happen to us or others in the future.

This just goes to show how important education is in the world today. I am not talking about an education in the traditional academic sense but one based on love and compassion – how to live life based not on ourselves but concentrated outward towards others and in this case animals.

Killing is against the Buddhist principle of Ahimsa or non-violence in any case, but the ways these poor animals are tortured to death simply because it is thought that they taste better this way is truly abhorrent.

  132. May Ong on Apr 30, 2015 at 12:59 pm

I deem these cruel acts as senseless, unnecessary and demeaning. This is NOT the way to kill dogs and cats by throwing them into boiling hot water alive, and let them suffer the anguish, pain and anxiety. Imagine if this was the other way round, that human beings were thrown inside boiling water and there was nothing anyone could do to help them. Sorry to say this but for those who believe in karma, this has created group karma to be connected in this way for the dogs, cats and doer and as such, similar karmic actions may be repeated over and over again till this karma runs out.

I pray and wish these doers will STOP these cruel acts and repent by seeking divine help and do animal liberation. I have signed the Petition to stop this. Please also share with families and friends to support the petition to stop this.

Reading this article has made me realised the extend of cruelty we do just to satisfy our desire for our taste sense and those who desire material wealth would do anything to provide for our needs. For that moment of pleasure, we allow the animals to suffer to please our desire. It makes us inhuman. Would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to my Guru Tsem Rinpoche for constantly making us aware of what’s happening and patiently teaching us to care beyond ourselves. It is shocking to the core like Rinpoche said. How can one be living happily with one’s family and torture the poor animals in such an inhumane manner?

I really can’t understand the mentality of such creatures that called themselves human and claimed to have higher intelligence yet capable of inflicting such excruciating pain without thinking. Such ignorant, such arrogant can only arise from wrong education and the wrong accepted social value.

Hence, where the logical thinking and natural kindness had been heavily blinded like this, we can only use forceful laws to alter the behaviour and control it’s influence.

We MUST put a stop to this horrendous act immediately! I have signed the petition, shared on my Facebook and with my friends.

    Thank you Rinpoche.

Thank you Rinpoche for sharing this and creating more awareness to many people out there. This is so sickening and saddening.. How could they do such things to animals? The worst part is they actually said the dogs meat taste better when the dogs are boiled alive??!! It doesn’t make sense to me at all and I’m sure many feel the same way as well. No animals deserved to be treated in such cruel way. This is in fact inhuman. Animals have feelings like us humans do. If we can’t bear the pain of boiling water pouring on us, whar nakes you think that an animal could bear the pain it causes?
We should raise awareness to everyone about such cruel thing happening in Korea. Animals can’t speak but we can. We should make full use of it in a positive way and be their voices. Please help in singing this petition. It only takes you a few minutes.
May there be no sufferings for all sentient beings.

This is very inhumane way to cook animals for food. I did not know that this has been taking place in Korea. It is very sad to see the people of a country that is technologically advance to carry out such acts.

The animals do have feeling just like us. If we don’t want to be hurt, don’t want to be burn alive same to them. Just because they can’t really talk to us to tell us their pain and fear (which actually we can see and feel if we willing to care for them) doesn’t mean we can harm them. These people and more people need to be educated and if it’s due to their culture than it need to stop.

At this age of time harming culture should be stop. Care, love and harmony apply to all beings. That is a healthy society as we are not only species that live in this earth. We can’t harm others (including animals) just for our pleasure which i believe we don’t want others to harm us for theirs. How can we be happy when we contribute to the suffering of others.

Urge everyone to share this post and sign the petition to create more awareness and educate more people to stop all this cruel act to animals.

They don’t have the rights to torture these animals. What if, they are the animals themselves? Would they like it? The answer is so obvious. So what gives them the right to do so to these innocent creatures? These actions just barbaric.

If you read this and can turn a blind eye and walk away from something we as humans should be responsible for, then you are condoning torture, pain, and violence. You are destroying the society, and the true values of mankind. How can anyone see this as a delicacy consciously knowing that the animal underwent so much suffering before ending up on the table! It makes my heart cringe.

Imagine you were the one having to be boiled alive. Or you watch your kid being boiled alive to feed someone else. How would you feel? How much pain is there? And people can still eat it. Incredible.

This is something we can do, to put our name up in the petition, to say we are unhappy and think it is wrong to act this way, it is cruel and very disgusted by this barbaric behaviour.

I didn’t know that the tradition was created 2000 years ago. Does this mean that prior to that people don’t torture the dogs and cats in such a cruel way? The tradition of cooking skinned dogs and cats to make soup must stop. It is tradition not worth holding on to. We can say such and such traditions are old fashion, therefore the tradition of eating the animals soup is an ‘old fashion’ mentality too.

  175. jillyam on Apr 29, 2015 at 10:13 am

    Dear Rinpoche.
I’ve signed and shared. It just break my heart to know that something like this still exist today.
Animals do have feelings too. They don’t have to be tortured in this cruel way. They don’t need to be tortured in any way.

  176. Wah Ying on Apr 29, 2015 at 8:46 am

Some may feel uncomfortable to see pictures of animals being tortured/cooked, and some may even think to highlight this kinds of pictures or video clips is sickening. It’s not. It’s the people who tortured are sicks. Stop the cruelty and these pictures will be less and less being posted or shared to create awareness. When we are not able to see this kinds of pictures (so do I), the more we need to share and create awareness, educate people and get the cruelty acts to stop.

    Thank you.

Yes Rinpoche, I have signed the petition. Thank you Rinpoche for sharing this. I can’t bear to see this picture I can’t imagine how cruel and sick these people can be to do this to the dogs. People alway say that human is the most scary being, scarier than the ghost. They can just ignore the pain that they see again just to feed their one of their attachments. Eating dogs already sick, some more have to boil them alive! I do believe the power of bad karma will only lead these people to have more bad karma. May these dogs’s karma be purified and take a swift and good rebirth.

Animals are living being that can feel pain just like we do. The cruelty of these people is unimaginable & beyond words that I can find to describe it. The mere act of killing or causing harm to others alone is a negative actions that brings with it negative karma, but these is far more worst than just killing because they actually enjoyed doing it for the sake of just satisfying the taste bud…

Have Signed the petition & shared with my friends & families member.

  191. Vinnie Tan on Apr 28, 2015 at 8:40 pm

All living beings have the right to live. We should never take away other beings’ lives for the pure “convenience” or even to satisfy that barbaric ego that we need. These animals do feel the same feelings that we feel as well. It is just not correct to be treating any being like this.

Some people say that dogs and cats are our friends and we have them in our homes. So what is the difference between those that are our pets and those that are “food”? There is no difference. The only difference that they have is their karma.

All animals are like us, they do feel the same emotions and sufferings we feel. Why do we still want them to suffer at their last breath?

It is high time that the society should be educated to know that animals should not be treated in this manner. They have the feelings as well. We should be kind to animals. With this barbaric behaviour, it is only a manner of time before we educate the younger generation that consuming human meat is alright as well. With that in mind, then what would the world be? I am just disgusted with the thought of it.

With the young boy saying that the animal should be suffering like this in order for the meat to be tastier is just twisted and sick. It is because of the lack of education that allows behaviour like that to exist. I pray for these acts to be stopped, and these animals that are harmed would not suffer such a fate in the future anymore.

  204. Ashlee on Apr 28, 2015 at 3:14 pm

This is very heartbreaking. It is so cruel and humans should stop harming the helpless animals as they too can feel pain and fear death like us. Can you imagine being boiled alive and the immense pain and fear of dying? What we do not wish on ourselves do not do to others. That’s why my Guru Tsem rinpoche has inspired many of us to go vegetarian. We cannot be so selfish to please our own desire of eating by sacrificing the life of others. The planet belongs to everyone including the animals too.

    • Pastor Han Nee on May 1, 2015 at 10:56 am

Ashlee, I thoroughly agree with you. if we all give a care for beings who cannot speak up for themselves, if we put ourselves into their shoes,if we can feel their intense pain and suffering, we will not inflict even the slightest pain on them, let alone do the unthinkable – boiling them alive slowly so we can relish their corpse.

Animals do not deserved to be tortured. If we cannot provide them with love and comfort, the least we can do is NOT to harm them. Why create hell for the animals just because we, humans, have the power to do so? If that is the case, we, humans, have the power to stop this too.

Due to the Dorje Shugden controversy many practitioners are still oppressed due to their choice of religion. Yet there are complaisant, and obliging people too who barely understand the situation, poorly informed of the issue and behave in a way they knew what’s going on regarding the ban on Dorje Shugden. There are many good bits of wisdom and worthy words in this article. Well-intentioned people make mistakes, lots of them. Mistakes must be expected and being held accountable for. Oppression will still exist no matter how compassionate sharing with others. If we are willing to risk making mistakes we can still do something. We must constantly try to find out ways to use our privilege to push forward the voice of the oppressed. Do not allow ourselves to be immobilized by lack of knowledge.
Thank you Rinpoche and Sarah for this sharing.

Inspiring read of Scott Neeson a most influential person in the movie industry, walked away from Hollywood to start a charity. Left everything he had built, been famous, wealthy and living a life of luxury for the sake of those children living in the slump in Cambodia. He decided to leave Hollywood behind and moved to Cambodia and founded Cambodian Children’s Fund . It was on a trip to Phnom Penh, Scott saw hundreds of children and their families living and working on the Steung Meanchey garbage dump, one of the most toxic environments. It was a moment that changed his life, helping thousands of vulnerable children and their families escape a world of forced labour, child trafficking and desperate poverty into safety and independence. From being a self-serving person, to an extremely giving person truly inspiring. Scott has been living in Phnom Penh where his journey still captivates, inspires and bewilders people from all over the world.
Thank you Rinpoche for this inspiring post

Vairochana Shugden, pacifying form of Dorje Shugden is revered by many for his ability to purify one’s negative karma, pacify natural disasters and calamities. And is especially efficacious for overcoming illness and disease as well. Shize or Vairochana Shugden is the emanation of Dorje Shugden who embodies the enlightened activity of pacification. Shize’s practice is very effective in helping us to receive prophecies or develop clairvoyance. Shize’s practice is excellent for calming ourselves down and increasing our merits. His practice results in our minds becoming much happier and being alleviated from depressions. Wow we can also rely on Shize’s practice to overcome serious illnesses. It can also be engaged where the area, there are a lot of natural disasters. On the whole its practice has many benefits. When we do the practice correctly, with good motivation, Shize will bless and guide us.
Thank you Rinpoche for this great teachings on Shize who is a direct emanation of Dorje Shugden who is none other than the enlightened Manjushri.

Interesting article. I never thought meditation can help oneself quit smoking without consumption of medication or drugs. According to an article in The Buddhist Review, not smoking is a result of developing calm and reducing clinging through authentic Dharma practice. Mindfulness-based interventions can help people learn to pay attention to and work with negative feelings, cravings, and other symptoms of nicotine withdrawal. By focusing on our breathing the mind becomes calm and single-pointed. Many are aware of the health risks and addictive properties of nicotine that are harmful. Buddhism is very effective to inspire transformation in people. Good read of how a Yale psychiatrist bringing together neuroscience and Buddhist practices to help people overcome their addictions. Thank you Dr. Judson for the great research work.

Trode-khangsar a 400 year old Dorje Shugden Temple in Lhasa, had me having great memories. Having a privileged to visit it in May 2019,with my Dharma brothers and sisters. It such a Holy Temple with great stories behind it . Located in Lhasa, that is over 300 years old which is dedicated to the controversial protector deity Dorje Shugden. The Temple is a Gelugpa monastery of Tibetan Buddhism, built in the 17th century by the Fifth Dalai Lama. The Great 5th Dalai Lama composed a praise to Dorje Shugden and created a statue to honour and recognize him as a Dharma protector as apology. Trode Khangsar itself is now registered as a national heritage memorial. That’s awesome as more and more people will get to know about this Holy temple. Merely by looking at those fading murals and Holy statutes is a blessing for all who came to visit this Trode-khangsar. A place worth visiting.
Thank you Rinpoche for this sharing.

The concept of rebirth has a long association with Buddhism. Rebirth in Buddhism refers to the teaching that the actions of a sentient being lead to a new existence after death, in an endless cycle called saṃsāra. One will begins a new life in a new body that may be human, animal or spiritual depending on the moral quality of the previous life’s actions. What they are reborn as depends on their actions in their previous life rather kamma. As a Buddhist we should believe in rebirth but still many people don’t . Buddha taught us that choices of rebirth make a difference and can shape many lifetimes. Buddhists believe that nothing that exists is permanent and everything will ultimately cease to be. There is a belief in rebirth

Against the odds two inspiring nuns fought all the way to become ordained, fighting for their rights to practice Buddhism . Interesting read of how they went through , bringing equality for women in Thailand. Buddhism is the predominant religion in Thailand. Officially, only men can become monks and novices in Thailand under a Buddhist order. The country does not recognize female monks or novices. In recent years, more Thai Buddhist women seeking to become full-fledged female monks, have been defying the tradition getting ordained overseas, in Sri Lanka or India. Buddhist women have been fighting for years for equality and social acceptance in Thailand. They just can’t be ordained by Thai monks. Ven. Dhammananda, 68 year old former university lecturer and activist became Thailand’s first Theravadin bhikkhuni after going the odds. Inspiring read biography on Ven. Dhammananda and Ven. Dr. Lee. They had gone through great hardships, discrimination and against the many odds in bringing equality to women in Buddhism in Thailand.

The unseen things are spiritual realities that are eternal and invisible to our physical eye. There are many forces and phenomena that are not visible to the naked eye. There are many things that humans cannot see yet there are some could see. For what is can be seen is only. Things do exist even we can’t see, believing their existence is our choice. Things that we can’t see in the world opens up a curiosity and exploration by some. Whether through scientific inquiry, or spiritual exploration, the pursuit of knowledge about the unseen can lead to profound insights about ourselves and the universe.
Malacca City is the historic capital of the coastal state of Malacca, in Malaysia serving as a link between east and west for over 500 years. Famous for breath-taking sights with rich heritage, ancient dark culture and history with many old centuries buildings with an interesting past and a colourful ghost story. For that reason alone it is worth visiting as is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site owing to its well-preserved historical center. There’s many historical mansions been passed down generation to generations and with many ghostly sighting by the locals and visitors. There’s the reason many unseen beings loitering and attached to these places. Such an interesting and incredibly creepy watching the video in this blog host by Li Kim. Li Kim had done a great work all along with her team to share with readers about our historic Malacca .

Vajrayogini symbolizes the wisdom of all enlightened beings and embodies the impulse of inspiration that drives the Buddhas to attain the perfect enlightenment. Vajrayogini is one of the most effective practices for people today. We can make offerings such as gold or jewel offerings and so on. The offering of gold helps us to collect merits, spiritual attainments, gain a deeper connection to Vajrayogini. It also creates the causes to attain a Buddha’s body.
Make Offerings to Vajrayogini in Kechara Forest Retreat at Bentong is such an meritorious way for us to collect merits. All thanks to our Guru having conceptualised the idea of having a statue of Vajrayogini for everyone . Recitation of Vajrayogini mantra can be a powerful tool for self-transformation, healing and liberation from samsara.
Thank you Rinpoche for this sharing with details explanation .

Thank you, Rinpoche for sharing this insightful article. Life is short, and if we enjoy every moment of every day, then we will be happy no matter what happens or what changes along the way. What ever matter to us at the time of death is nothing. In the end, it’s not the years in our life that count it’s what you leave behind that matters. A great soul never dies. It brings us together again and again.Death is the golden key that opens the palace of eternity. A man who lives fully is prepared to die at any time. Learning Dharma and practicing dharma is the our choice that’s matter. Some of the key points to take notes, read, study the Lam Rim and apply it, engage in Sadhana daily and consistently. No one will help us at the moment of death but ourselves. Spiritual practicing is the best choice.

Well the size of Buddha statues in Tibetan Buddhism is important because it represents the Buddha’s immense ability and vast knowledge. Hence the Buddha statues hold the symbol of satisfaction within, peace and happiness. They are a symbol of inspiration for every human being. When we focus on the Buddha statues, it gives us inner peace that our mind, our heart and our soul gets enlightened.
We have are so fortunate seeing and circumambulating where the 9-foot Dorje Shugden statue and with 500 mantra stones engraved with Dorje Shugden’s sacred mantra. As Rinpoche had said before the bigger and more Buddha statues helps in planting seeds of enlightenment in people’s mind-streams. It also help us to generate as much merit and purify as much karma as possible. Merely by seeing all those big statues at Kechara Forest Retreat is a blessing.
    Thank you Rinpoche.

The 4th Tagpu Pemavajra Jampel Tenpai Ngodrub, most commonly known as Tagpu Dorje Chang, was a highly accomplished yogi Highly attained lama who had many authentic visions of the Buddhas and even travel astrally to receive direct teachings from them. His recognised line of incarnations stem all the way back to the 14th Century. He is generally regarded as such amongst Gelug lineage holders. He spent most of his time in a hermitage located above Sera Monastery, gave teachings and transmitted many vital practices and lineages to his foremost student Kyabje Pabongka Rinpoche. Besides receiving the complete instructions of Dorje Shugden’s practice, Tagpu Dorje Chang had many other mystical experiences throughout his lifetime. Interesting read biography of a highly accomplished mahasiddha lama.

n Tibetan culture, it is a popular and customary practice for families to invite monks to perform spiritual ceremonies such as Trusol rituals. The monks have had the opportunity to offer such ceremonies for individuals or their families. Such ceremonies purify the elements of the environment which helps those living or visiting there to experience good health, success and well-being. The sacred ritual of ‘bathing’ the Buddhas and consecration through which negativities, sicknesses and obstacles will be cleared. Where by filling those areas with positive energies and good vibes through this Trusol consecration puja. Water is an essential part of this puja and symbolises the cleansing of all negativities and impurities. Through this puja it also pacifies local deities and other unseen beings in the surrounding areas. We are indeed fortunate that Tsem Rinpoche has taught Kecharians this practice and it has benefited many.
Thank you Rinpoche with folded hands

The Unknown

The Known and unknown are both feared,
Known is being comfortable and stagnant,
The unknown may be growth and opportunities,
One shall never know if one fears the unknown more than the known.
Who says the unknown would be worse than the known?
But then again, the unknown is sometimes worse than the known. In the end nothing is known unless we endeavour,
So go pursue all the way with the unknown,
because all unknown with familiarity becomes the known.
~Tsem Rinpoche

Find one of the most beautiful temples in the world in Nara, Japan. It is the 1,267 year old Todai-ji temple that houses a 15 meter Buddha Vairocana statue who is a cosmic and timeless Buddha. Emperor Shomu who sponsored this beautiful temple eventually abdicated and ordained as a Buddhist monk. Very interesting history and story. One of the places everyone should visit- https://bit.ly/2VgsHhK

What the meat industry figured out is that you don't need healthy animals to make a profit.
Sick animals are more profitable... farms calculate how close to death they can keep animals without killing them. That's the business model. How quickly they can be made to grow, how tightly they can be packed, how much or how little can they eat, how sick they can get without dying... We live in a world in which it's conventional to treat an animal like a block of wood. ~ Jonathan Safran Foer
