Jun 16, 2010 | Views: 179,100

Which Lunar Animal sign best suits the Tiger, when it comes to relationships?

Relationship compatibility within the Chinese Zodiac mostly takes into account the general characteristics for each animal. However, every individual will place their own unique twist on the basic characteristics. That being said, it’s always fun to read about how well (or not well) you match with your partner!

Read on to learn the compatibility of the Tiger with other Animal Lunar Signs.

.

TIGER PARTNER + RAT PARTNER: 65%

The Rat loves the family and can be very considerate when shown appreciation. The Tiger is sentimental while self-indulgent; is bossy and has a quick temper. The Rat often cannot stand the Tiger’s demands and feels that the Tiger can be quite narrow-minded. This kind of relationship usually does not have a happy ending.

Superficially, this couple is very similar as they are both sociable, active and are interested in a variety of things. The achievement-oriented Rat seeks fortune and power and the Tiger loves prestige. However, as they get to know each other better, the homely Rat might not find Tiger’s unpredictable manner pleasant, while the generous Tiger might complain that the Rat is miserly.

However, both have a very positive outlook in life and will either work towards sorting out their differences or ending the relationship. It is not an easy journey though so both should think twice before jumping into a relationship.

.

TIGER PARTNER + OX PARTNER: 33%

The Ox is well-organised and practical, which the Tiger sees as predictable. The Tiger is unrestrained and emotional while the Ox doesn’t appreciate moodiness. The Tiger might think that the Ox is simply being apathetic and insensitive. The Tiger is a passionate creature and enjoys attention. The Ox might feel insecure in the fear that the flirtatious Tiger may step over the line.

It is difficult to find similarities in this couple whose characters are almost diametrically opposite each other in character, but if both are willing to work on it, nothing is impossible! To improve this relationship, the Ox could be more understanding of the Tiger’s emotional swings and the Tiger should not test the Ox’s patience too much and stay faithful to the Ox.

.

TIGER PARTNER + TIGER PARTNER: 52%

This is a charming and vivacious couple. They lead a passionate relationship, both being beautiful and intelligent, with the love for adventure; their magnetic personalities tend to attract others that may be a temptation. Although both are strong-headed and equally dominant in the relationship, they are easily vulnerable to ego bruising. They can be very affectionate with each other, especially in the beginning, however, their need for time and space make them stray if either feels controlled.

The romance will be extreme, but so will the fights. When both partners are dominating and argumentative, the relationship tends to hold a lot of arguments, debates and fights. Too much of such rivalry can make this partnership brittle. Their sense of humor helps them to look over their differences and also if they find this relationship exciting enough.  This couple also like to spend a lot and cannot keep to a budget, however, financial strain is not the only issue which these two will face. These two are too much alike in the wrong ways to make this union a fruitful one, and it may have a short shelf life because it is too exhausting for both parties. However, to make this relationship work, both will need to give a lot of space to each other, and do not pressure each other.

.

TIGER PARTNER + RABBIT PARTNER: 46%

The Rabbit is sensitive and bashful while the Tiger is loud and daring. The Rabbit may not appreciate spontaneity while the Tiger can’t stand emotional character. It takes a lot of effort if the couple want to make the relationship work. The Rabbit usually lets the Tiger be the dominant partner, which is initially pleasing for the Tiger.

The Tiger’s love for life and self-indulgent nature may prove to be too strong and colorful for the docile and quiet Rabbit, whose inclination is towards mental and creative achievements. The Rabbit feels that the Tiger lacks the zest in life, and while the Tiger is able to help solve the Rabbit’s problems, the Rabbit may not take the advice graciously. For the Tiger, a Rabbit partner could help build confidence and resoluteness, but the Tiger may not be too keen on learning it. This relationship revolves around many disadvantages, particularly in the quarrels and tensions that stem from the Tiger’s tendency to dominate over the Rabbit. Despite these differences, the pair somehow manage to weld them together and make them better people. If they can overcome their differences, both will develop deep respect for each other, however, the combination will make better friends than as lovers.

In a Tiger wife and Rabbit husband relationship, initially they see much of each other’s weaknesses which can lead to conflict.

In a Tiger husband and Rabbit wife relationship, he appreciates to have someone sweet to come home to, while she loves his glamour. She appreciates the romance and poetry of the relationship; however it is wise for him to take things slow and gentle. In return, she will do all she can to make the relationship enticing and interesting.

.

TIGER PARTNER + DRAGON PARTNER: 76%

This is definitely a couple who are well-known for being courageous and ambitious. However, both might want to dominate the other. The good news is the Dragon will compromise if the other does the same. The perseverance to work out the relationship might fade after the initial period.  There has to be a lot of give and take to make this relationship work. However, their characteristic and nature makes this combination to have more potential for a long lasting friendship, love and marriage.

The union of a Dragon and Tiger will not be a dull and regular one, as both partners are active and open-minded. They would find each other’s company to be very exciting as long as their individual freedom is preserved. The Tiger has high respect for the Dragon but will never give in, and should the Dragon try, trouble will arise. Both have explosive tempers and do not like being dominated by the other partner. If they can respect each others need for personal freedom and can maintain a balance, they will have an adventurous marriage. Keeping a separate group of friends and remembering to spend time apart will help. The matchmaking of this pair is recommended, both in business and romance.

In a Dragon husband and Tiger wife relationship, the initial attraction takes place instantly. Due to their rash behavior, they tend to find conflict in the relationship, a type of disagreement which may fuel their relationship since both love sparring with a good opponent.

In a Dragon wife and Tiger husband relationship, they will find perfect harmony.

.

TIGER PARTNER + SNAKE PARTNER: 69%

The Tiger doesn’t appreciate the Snake’s jealousy and possessiveness. The Snake doesn’t understand the Tiger’s prodigal attitude as Snakes are careful with money. The Tiger sometimes may not want to accept the Snake’s proposed methods no matter how sensible they may be. This relationship has many differences to be sorted out; the totally different outlook, lifestyle and objective in life, makes the outcome of this union not so favorable.

This is a very difficult relationship as both signs can neither understand nor overlook the other’s shortcomings, and on top of that, they are both passionate and deeply suspicious making them unable to trust each other. The Tiger is very lively and resents the Snake’s secretive behavior and intense ambition. On the other hand, the Snake is intelligent and refined, and finds the Tiger to be outspoken. The two are unable to communicate with each other effectively which makes it difficult to maintain this relationship. This relationship is much more successful if the pair begins as friends, as it will help them to overlook any negative qualities that may prove irritating later.

In a Tiger husband and Snake wife relationship, the wife is more reliable in money management and finds her husband’s adventurous nature as immature or even irresponsible. She will always long for a more established and productive partner, while he will wish for a partner who can let loose a little bit.

In a Snake husband and Tiger wife relationship on the other hand, both have zero tolerance for each other, as they are both totally self sufficient and always aware of their partner’s shortcomings. The wife finds her husband to be unapproachable, while the husband finds her too blunt.

.

TIGER PARTNER + HORSE PARTNER: 86%

This is a couple that will enjoy a happy relationship. The Tiger partner is the stronger of the two and serves as the fuel to their relationship. Both are also equally sociable and enthusiastic. The Tiger appreciates the Horse’s spirit and the Horse enjoys the Tiger’s unpredictable and independent nature.

Both signs have similar characters and the animated, lively and passionate way they relate to life. The Tiger is attracted by his partner’s lively personality and the Horse is attracted to the Tiger’s vibrant and confident personality. They are active, sociable, and lovable. The Horse is capable of managing finances. Since they share the same view in life, they tend to be drawn to the same goals. They share a terrific sense of humor, and have much respect for each other and their way of life. Much closeness can be achieved in this marriage. The pairing of these two zodiac insures an exciting life together.

A Horse husband and Tiger wife are an ideal companionship, they behave in synchronization. The husband gives her a great sense of security. Together, they have an unbreakable tie that binds them together, everlasting.

A Tiger husband and a Horse wife are always eager to spend quality time together. He admires her creative wit, and his impulsive character does not bother her. They make good partners.

.

TIGER PARTNER + SHEEP PARTNER: 24%

The Sheep loves the Tiger’s magnetism and beauty, and the Tiger loves the Sheep’s creativity and sensitivity. However, the Tiger doesn’t like his partner’s dependency and possessiveness. The Sheep might complain that the Tiger is indifferent to feelings and rude. The ambitious Tiger may find the Sheep to be lazy. One loves to socialize and the other loves to stay home.  The relationship can only work out after a great deal of adjustment on both sides.

The Sheep is a gentle person, while the Tiger is temperamental, which often hurts the gentle Sheep’s feelings due to sudden anger outbursts. The Sheep prefers a quiet and comfortable home, but the Tiger likes a fast paced life and cannot tolerate his worry-free ways. The Tiger often supports the Sheep’s need for their pursuits, however if the Sheep becomes too needy, the Tiger will feel trapped and look elsewhere. The Tiger too willful for the Sheep’s liking and the Sheep is too weak to dominate the relationship. Both may end up being dissatisfied in this combination.

In a Sheep husband and Tiger wife relationship, communication will be very difficult between them. Challenges are present in every aspect in this relationship. This makes the pairing between this two very difficult.

In a Sheep wife and Tiger husband relationship, life will be difficult or even, impossible. Although they are attracted to each other, they don’t usually make it. Initially, he believes she can be molded, which he soon learns otherwise. He gets frustrated over her change of moods, while she is unaffected by his criticism or begging. She often laughs at his attempts in male superiority and seriousness.

.

TIGER PARTNER + MONKEY PARTNER: 81%

This relationship might not compliment any party although they share some similarities. They are big spenders, outgoing, and vivacious. Equally intelligent and self-confident, the Tiger might not be impressed with the Monkey and might even fight for dominance or being equal partners in a relationship. The Monkey is quite emotional at times and could feel unappreciated. The differences stem from their view on life. The Tiger loves freedom and ambitious, while the Monkey also enjoys freedom but also likes to spend time playing. Due to this, the Tiger partner tends to feel like they are the only one putting any effort forth.

This pair is not a very pleasant combination and they both may not find much relief in this relationship. Both the Monkey and Tiger are very similar in the sense that they both are very ambitious and have high self-esteem, the element “I” is always present in their thoughts. Hence it is not easy for them to get along as the Tiger can be egotistical when the Monkey does not give way while the Monkey himself is cunning in his actions. Both might always be in doubt and are secretive with each other. For this relationship to succeed, one has to be more powerful to pose control on the other. If not properly executed, a struggle may occur between this pair. These two will have great time together, but they need to be careful about arguments.

In a Monkey husband and Tiger wife relationship, the rivalry between them may cause many problems in their relationship.

In  a Monkey wife and Tiger husband relationship, her humor tends to overcome many tense situations that arise between them. She likes a lot of friends, while he prefers for her to spend more time with him. Things make work out if they both cooperate and make compromises.

.

TIGER PARTNER + ROOSTER PARTNER: 55%

This couple may be too self-absorbed to enjoy each other’s company. Both have signs of strong character and prefer to control the situation. They seldom want the same thing. The Tiger dislikes the Rooster’s nagging and critical nature and the Rooster doesn’t like the Tiger to panic unnecessarily. The Rooster is careful with money while the other is generous.  The Tiger is outspoken while all the other partner cares about is being productive and following the rules. The Tiger follows instinct and gut feel while the Rooster follows logic. They could end up irritating than complimenting each other.

The Rooster and the Tiger are both driven by the passion and desire that they both possess individually and for one another. When married, they will be looking at a stormy but enthusiastic and spontaneously eventful life together. The Tiger knows how to cheer up the Rooster as long as they are free. With a little bit of diplomacy, the relationship can avoid trouble.

They are both stubborn and may not “sacrifice” or change themselves for the betterment of the relationship. The Rooster being proud and egotistical, conflicts with the fighting nature of the Tiger. The Tiger will not conform to a partner’s criticisms, which are not necessarily constructive, but highly descriptive. The reluctance and unwillingness to change their ways may be a gradual step towards going separate ways.

In a Rooster husband and Tiger wife relationship, he knows that he is not as smart as his mate; however he does have some excellent qualities that should be appreciated. She tends to be overly critical. He is loyal, jealous and controlling, while she needs freedom and will not hesitate to fight for it.

In a Rooster wife and Tiger husband relationship, both will be hotheaded and unwilling to see each other’s point of view. He is often arrogant to her, while she, knowing that she’s not as brilliant may try to be accommodating, which can lead to a horrible cycle of behavior.

.

TIGER PARTNER + DOG PARTNER: 89%

This is the closest to an ideal union, they are generally free of the problems that affect other couples as they both have the ability to overlook negative features in each other. The Tiger admires the Dog’s devotion while the Dog understands its partner’s spontaneity and impatience.  The Dog’s sensible logic makes sense to steer the Tiger and balance the Tiger’s excitable nature and enthusiasm. Both are charming, attractive and responsive hence their relationship is a rewarding one. The Dog is rarely possessive and tends to give security to the Tiger, yet allowing them to have their freedom. The Tiger overlooks the Dog’s pessimism and is an expert in cheering him up.

Both belong to the same Triangle of Affinity, and thus make a good match given their shared idealistic and humanitarian qualities. The hot-headed Tiger will be subdued by the more objective Dog, who will remain loyal and not offended by the Tiger’s emotional outbursts or impulsiveness. Being diplomatic also means the Dog can reason without offending the Tiger – the Tiger will appreciate such a quality in the Dog, and respond with generous shows of affection. The Tiger is also honest and sincere, qualities which the Dog appreciates. With so much mutual respect, this relationship is well-suited to develop the best qualities in both parties.

In a Dog husband and Tiger wife relationship, some may think it’s not a good match, but others say otherwise. They both value their independence and are inherently fair. She loves his humanitarian ways and he, her enthusiasm, strength and vitality.

In a Dog wife and Tiger husband relationship, a very favorable partnership can be established. With his strength, he helps her to achieve her altruistic goals. They have excellent communication with each other and never run out of conversational topics. The only area of disagreement is in his willingness to quit his job without much thought in pursuit of something new, and her worries about making ends meet.

.

TIGER PARTNER + PIG PARTNER: 79%

This couple works best when they are focuses on the needs of others. They will have a life filled with laugher and passion. They enjoy each other’s company and have the ability to overlook their problems and enjoy life as it is. Determined and committed, the Pig believes in the Tiger’s idealistic goals and the Tiger loves the Pig’s perseverance and audacity.

This warm and loving pair will not hesitate to be affectionate to one another, and will be brought closer together by their desire to make the other person happy. Dynamic and progressive in their attitudes, the union will be a gratifying one since the understanding Pig will be able to cope with the Tiger’s unpredictability. In the Tiger, the Pig finds a loyal, generous and brave mate. In the Pig, the Tiger will find a good-humored and compassionate mate who understands her outbursts. To make the relationship work, the Tiger must learn to curb their inclination to roam and provide affection and support for its partner, while the Pig must learn to be more independent and understand the Tiger’s need for  some alone time.

In a Pig husband and Tiger wife relationship, they admire each other tremendously. This helps to smooth the way through many problems. He has a set idea on how women should be, which she never follows, and her direct manner may be challenging for him. He loves children, but she may not desire any. This may be an issue for them.

In a Pig wife and Tiger husband relationship, they value each other’s charm greatly. She may find it difficult to deal with his restlessness, which in the long run may prove too much for her to handle. He on the other hand may find her moody. If they overcome these differences, they can lead a good relationship.

Thank you for this. I found it very interesting. I am curious though how different signs and elements get along and which ones foster and hinder relationships. For example how might a wooden tiger relate to a metal dragon?

Venerable Ajahn Chah was a Thai Buddhist teacher of the Buddhadhamma and a founder of two major monasteries in the Thai Forest Tradition. Well respected and loved as a man of great wisdom, he was also instrumental in establishing Theravada Buddhism in the West. Interesting life story, how he chose to leave the settled monastic life and became a wandering ascetic. Walking across Thailand, lived in forests, caves and cremation grounds while learning from the meditation monks of the Forest of various monasteries. He wandered through the countryside in quest of quiet and secluded places for developing meditation. He even lived in tiger and cobra infested jungles, using reflections on death to penetrate to the true meaning of life. After years of wandering, Venerable Ajahn Chah established a monastery where he taught simple, practice-based form of meditation, and attracted a numerous of students including western foreigners. He was one of the greatest Dhamma teachers of the modern era. His wise teachings have continued to guide thousands of people along the path of Dharma. Venerable Ajahn Chah’s teachings of the Thai Forest Tradition gradually spread across all over the world. Several of Ajahn Chah’s Western students have since established monasteries throughout the world. Just in Thailand itself, there are more than 300 branch monasteries in Ajahn Chah’s tradition. Ven erable Ajahn Chah used his ill health as a teaching point, emphasizing that it was a living example of the impermanence of all things and reminded people to endeavour to find a true refuge within themselves. The legacy of Venerable Ajahn Chah’s teachings and legacy continues into the modern age.

Wonderful blog written on the practice of Kalarupa for us to understand better. As an emanation of Manjushri, Kalarupa’s practice helps us to destroy ignorance and to develop wisdom overcoming our anger and suffering . Awesome Kalarupa manifested in multiple forms to help sentient beings who personifies enlightenment by the conquest of anger. Kalarupa also regard as one of the three main Dharma protectors of the Gelugpa is extremely fierce and ugly, and tames all kinds of spiritual ugliness. The fierceness of his iconography teaches us to remind ourselves that all the causes and effects of anger arising from ignorance are dreadful and distorted.
Thank you Rinpoche and Pastor Antionette for this detailed sharing,

Nepal is a very spiritual country, having a huge Dorje Shugden mural in Kathmandu, is indeed a big achievement for Kechara. Located on Charkhal Road in Dilli Bazaar, the mural can be found midway between our two Dorje Shugden chapels which are in Putalisadak and Chabahil. It is also very close to one of Kathmandu’s largest shopping malls. Many locals , tourist will be able to connect them to a powerful deity that is so closely associated with their culture. Well the mural not only beautiful but also full of symbolism and everyone merely by seeing it is blessed. Thanks to those talented artists and generous sponsors making it a success.
Thank you Rinpoche for this sharing.

All the art of living lies in a fine mingling of letting go and holding on. Letting go helps us to live in a more peaceful state of mind and helps restore our balance. A reminder for us all to go of attachment and meditating on impermanence and emptiness. We are to relinquish the domination of our ego and its habits to transform ourselves. A great reminder not to waste our previous life.

We are members of the Buddhist Temple in Taman Desa Jaya, Kepong, Kuala Lumpur and we have been issued membership by the president (DATUK YIP KUM FOOK), we are very sad because we are the foundation of this Temple

Now we can know who is always messing with people, and he always cheats money and women, he even uses Buddhism to find money.

Also, need to be careful with his brother-in-law (Simon Low Kok Meng) because he is a spy (CID) for DATUK YIP KUM FOOK and we will write some letters to AGONG SULTAN IBRAHIM IBN ALMARHUM SULTAN ISKANDAR as soon as possible.

The matriarchal cultures of the grandmothers have specific symbolism of animism shamanism, such as the horse, especially the blue horse, and the deer. These are two main symbols of a shaman woman and you can find them in many cultural folk lore, especially the Russian, Slavic, Siberian, Nordic, Finland, and Norway. It’s nice to see the Matriarchal Shaman Animism diety represented in Chinese.

An inspiring act of a selfless Lama feeding strays whether its night or day. Truly an example for us all to feed those lonely strays . Yes I do agree compassion starts with feeding strays. Reading this blog again to refresh myself to do more. Strays animals generally lead a life of poor welfare on the street. Feeding strays is a compassionate act.
Thank you Rinpoche and Anila for this sharing.

Demons are disembodied spirits, supernatural being or spirit and unseen beings. We know they do exist and I believe they do. They have no physical form to them whatsoever. Demons do definitely exist. They are intelligent beings who are evil malicious spirits and are all dangerous entities. Valak is not to be summoned capriciously by anyone as they are dangerous beings when we invoke them having to face a heavy consequence. There are spiritual practices that we can ask for help a ritual of the wrathful Manjushri in the form of Trakze. Having a doing the practice daily without fail, consistently, as this Trakze practice has been proven to be efficacious to break the hold the Valak and other spirits. Wow ,reading all these powerful quotes had me realised much better of giving even I have little. May H E Tsem Rinpoche’s sincere advice to reach the far shore of liberation to everyone reading this blog. The most truly generous people are those who give silently without asking any in return. There is no exercise better than reaching and lifting people up. A kind gesture can reach a wound that only compassion can heal. Well creating and lighting for others we naturally light our own way. Helping others especially those unfortunate ones, make us feel more positive about our own circumstances.
Thank you Rinpoche for sharing all these powerful quotes.

Lama Tsongkhapa was an influential Tibetan Buddhist monk, philosopher and tantric yogi, whose activities led to the formation of the Gelug school of Tibetan Buddhism . Lama Tsongkhapa was hailed as the second Buddha by contemporary Buddhist masters of his time. Famous for reviving Buddhism in Tibet and revered for elevating the Dharma to all its present glory. Hence having a 12 ft Lama Tsongkhapa Statue at new Kechara Gompa (Prayer Hall) is indeed a blessing. Its truly beautiful. Merely by looking at it is a blessing .
Thank you Rinpoche and team effort making it possible.

The Unknown

The Known and unknown are both feared,
Known is being comfortable and stagnant,
The unknown may be growth and opportunities,
One shall never know if one fears the unknown more than the known.
Who says the unknown would be worse than the known?
But then again, the unknown is sometimes worse than the known. In the end nothing is known unless we endeavour,
So go pursue all the way with the unknown,
because all unknown with familiarity becomes the known.
~Tsem Rinpoche

What the meat industry figured out is that you don't need healthy animals to make a profit.
Sick animals are more profitable... farms calculate how close to death they can keep animals without killing them. That's the business model. How quickly they can be made to grow, how tightly they can be packed, how much or how little can they eat, how sick they can get without dying... We live in a world in which it's conventional to treat an animal like a block of wood. ~ Jonathan Safran Foer

One the day of Losar (new lunar year), it is always beneficial for Buddhist practitioners to get together in making abundant offerings to Buddhas on the altar to usher in goodness, prosperity and well-being of our loved ones. It's more auspicious this year as Losar and the Chinese New Year begin on the same date, 10th Feb, 2024. Back in Penang, our Kechara members came together to decorate the altar with abundance offerings for Dorje Shugden puja @3pm. Kechara Penang Study Group by Jacinta.

Umze for the day was Siew Hong. She's just been with us for slightly more than a year now but she's proven her capability in leading the puja. Our Penang group members are so proud of her and her commitment in attending the weekly puja. Despite being eloquence and smart, she has beautiful chant as well. When she leads, make sure you are there to hear her chant for yourself! Kechara Penang Study Group by Jacinta.

Dharma sharing by Hue before we proceeded with DS puja & Rinpoche Swift Return puja. Hue is one of the long time Kechara Penang members and he comes to puja regularly. He shared that he truly believes that Dorje Shugden and Rinpoche always there guiding him. He shared how sometimes DS will give him hints to avert troubles ahead or to alert him when he 'misbehaved'. Hope many will come to know more about this powerful Dharma Protector, Dorje Shugden aka DS. Having Dorje Shugden is like having a powerful ally that will protect us day and night. Just trust Him and have faith. Kechara Penang Study Group, 25/11/2023 by Jacinta.
