3 DAY BLOG QUIZ!

Sep 30, 2013 | Views: 883

Dear friends!!!

Exciting news!! Exciting new items! Exciting Shopping! Shopping that is inexpensive and sacred. Read up and don’t miss this.

Not too long ago, when my Gift Team (aka The Super Team) moved into their new gift room at Kechara Forest Retreat, I gave them a lot of goodies for the team to raise funds. Su Ming is a wonderful person and a great leader, and with her she has 4 amazing young, talented and hardworking students that I like working with very much. They are very good people and I really adore them.

I was recently told that the Gift Team have decided to use my blog as a platform to allow people to invite these holy items!! Items including statues, hand painted thangka, framed pictures and ritual items can be invited by participants on the blog chat with a small donation that does not exceed RM 50! When the team proposed this idea to me, I thought it was wonderful! They told me that the gift team is all about GIVING, and this is one of the ways they can give Dharma in a fun way. They are kind people too. Look at their smiling faces!

I thought that I’d write a blog post about their wonderful activity which will run for 3 days starting from TODAY! Do give your support to these wonderful team of young people and perhaps… you’ll be able to invite a beautiful Dharma item you’ve always wanted. They work hard to bring dharma to many. I treasure them and thank them.

The competition may be three days but the Flea Market will be continuous at Kechara Forest Retreat!! To visit the Flea Market you can contact: kecharagiftsection@gmail.com. Attention the email to Karen or Sock Wan.

Tsem Rinpoche

P.S. Did you know Kechara has 5 beautiful Dharma outlets located in Malaysia. Take a look. If you don’t live nearby, then visit our online store www.vajrasecrets.com.

Happy shopping and happy fun!! Shopping is good therapy!!!

Dear Super Team (Carmen, Sock Wan, William, Karen and Su Ming),

You did a great job with the blog quiz tonight. I was so excited watching the happenings just now. So many people participated and watched. Over 119 viewers from around the world.. Very good. I congratulate all of you for such an outstanding way of promoting dharma using blog chat/flea market and fun!! By doing this and having the flea market at KFR, you promoted dharma, my blog chat and our items. You are able to create awareness of KFR because your permanent flea market section is at KFR. Very good idea indeed. It really will bring more attention to KFR and our hardworking projects. So many ppl have put so much into KFR and our dharma works and we must promote. The more bigger Kechara grows, the more people want to learn dharma, be associated with us and also want to join for sure. Many will come in near future. It’s smart to be friends with Kechara. Thank you for always thinking of Kechara and how we can reach out more.

These beautiful people are the ones who took care of Tsem Rinpoche’s Gift Section which is one of the important section in Kechara. Rinpoche’s generousity is well known, be in to a total stranger or close ones. All are equal to Rinpoche. Recently, Rinpoche has kindly donated all the items in the pictures so that many can be benefited from them, especially those who has limited access in sacred items in wherever they are. Thanks to these people that many get to go onto Rinpoche’s blog chat for the past few days to get a chance to obtain those priceless items! Thank you all for your hardwork and for making the Flea Market a reality and an educational one!

The super team placed so much effort to promote Rinpoche’s blog and the Dharma… and they made it in such a fun way that so many people happily participated. This is all made possible because of their dedication to their Guru as well as their sincerity in practicing Dharma. If you are new to Tibetan Buddhism and not sure which deity to practice, the easiest and most accessible will be Buddha Tsongkapa. To recite any prayer to Tsongkapa in earnest daily combined with 21x or more mantra chanting will invoke powerful blessings. You don’t need a guru, centre, initiation, commitments or lengthy explanations for this. It’s just good for you. If you recite over a long period time consistently you feel much better and depressions lift.

Thank you so much for this article. After joining Kechara full-time, Her life-changing decision started when she realize that she was really after a teacher who possesses complete wisdom and a mastery of the Dharma, which has the incontrovertible answers to life’s questions. In His Eminence, she had found such a quality.

She has also witnessed how His Eminence’s teachings changes people’s lives for the better and her experiences have thus deepened her faith even further. A believer in ‘sharing is caring’, it is this proverb which compels Abby to share His Eminence’s teachings to as many as she can, so that words of the Buddha will give relief to the suffering of their mind. Thank you.

Thank you for this article. It is true that Kechara Forest Retreat (KFR) primarily serves as a Tibetan Buddhist Retreat and Wellness centre that heals, nourishes and enlightens life naturally and spiritually.

Kechara Forest Retreat is also a heaven for rescued animals. Animals have a very special place in Rinpoche’s heart and every effort is made to care and provide for our furry and feathered friends wherever Rinpoche lives.

Thank you so much for this article. Its really refreshing to see a Tibetan MP speaking confidently about the realities faced by them in exile, with the intention of moving forward to a better future instead of being stuck in myriad divisive policies that have really harmed the Tibetan polity and harmony.

Tibetans have also been particularly divided over spiritual delineations such as the issue of the two Karmapas and the very damaging Dorje Shugden conflict. All these serve to place the Tibetan leadership in a bad light, something which Tenpa Yarphel clearly does not wish to see happen. Thank you.

Over the years many people of various informal settlements have been persecuted. Persecution is serious, targeted mistreatment of an individual because of who they are, or what they do, what they believe, or what people think they are, do, or believe. The Jewish were often criticized and persecuted throughout in Europe. They were subjected to progressively harsher persecution due to their race and religion. Reading the comparison to the discrimination against Dorje Shugden practitioners are quite similar traits to the Jewish even though they are world a parts. May everyone have religious freedom to choose and be respected by others. No one has the right to discriminate others due to their beliefs and faith.
May all forms of religious persecution and discrimination which include the Dorje Shugden ban against practitioners be lifted soon.
Thank you Pastor David and Pastor Niral for this article.

Miyolangsangma is the Tibetan Buddhist goddess who lives at the top of Chomolungma . Many climbers of Chomolungma beseech her favour at the traditional stupa in which a Buddhist monk prays for them and they go through certain ceremonies. Sherpas share a rather straightforward motivation: Mountaineering is their livelihood, and they do it to support their families. Miyolangsangma, also known as the “Goddess of Inexhaustible Giving.” The mountain is seem to be her palace and playground, and Sherpas view climbers and themselves as only partially welcome guests, all of them having arrived without invitation. It is this goddess’s power, one Sherpa Buddhist monk said, that has willingness delivered to the Sherpas for their effort guiding expeditions and foreign travellers, to climb to the peak of the world highest mountain.
Thank you Rinpoche and Pastor Elena Khong Jean Ai for this wonderful article of the Tibetan Buddhist goddess which I first time coming across.

How to Bless Buddha Images Yourself

While there are traditional methods of blessing and consecrating statues, known as soongdroop and rabney, not everyone has the merit to live near a Dharma centre or monastery, or has access to these services. For this reason, Tsem Rinpoche has compassionately outlined three methods by which anyone can bless Buddha statues.

The “One God” Theory Comes from Greek Mythology documentary.

This is a very interesting documentary of how the one-god theory arose from ancients times. This theory was not the domain of established modern religions but were already existent in pre-modern or pagan religions. This video shows how the one god theory is not the exclusive rights of anyone but in fact was a gradual process taken from Pagan religions. So what we might pre-suppose as modern (non-paganistic) or exclusive of modern religions may not be the case. EXTREMELY INTERESTING.

Please watch this intriguing documentary. But do concentrate and contemplate. It will be helpful for your religious studies. The one god theory may not be all that it is what we are told.

Carlos Castaneda was an American New Age author and a scholar of anthropology — the study of human behaviour and societies. He wrote a series of popular books that described his training and magical experiences in Toltec Shamanism under the guidance of Don Juan Matus, a native Yaqui shaman who lived in Mexico.

Castaneda’s writings brought him fame as well as controversy. His proponents and critics would debate as to whether his writings were the results of authentic experiences or an overactive imagination. Yet, despite the controversy, his expressive and evocative writing as well as the mysticism that surrounded his persona inspired widespread appreciation for Native American culture and earned him the title of “Godfather of the New Age Movement.”

The Jewish people have been persecuted throughout recorded history, from their beginnings in the Middle East, through Europe during the Middle Ages, the Holocaust of the World Wars and into the modern era due to their race and religion. This persecution of a community has been sustained due to religious discrimination. We wanted to provide all of you with just a quick overview of what the Jewish people have been through. We hope you can learn from this, and understand the atrocities that religious persecution can lead to.

Thanks for the wonderful experience and beautiful sharing of the Dorje Shugden Retreat at Kechara Forest Retreat. I loved the idea of this retreat for choosing Manjushri Guest House, which is a special place perched on a hilltop within the enchanting forest landscape of Kechara Forest Retreat for the Dorje Shugden Retreat. Of course learning anything in a super awesome environment is always amazing.

A good news for those who are planning for mind relaxing in a retreat and choosing a best programmes at the right time. Well, besides exploring the forest retreat the programmes has also strongly connect for all participants to experience their power for overcoming obstacles and bringing peace and fulfillments through the Dharma Protector Dorje Shugden. This wonderful information and a beautiful programmes should not to be missed in life time.

Hope this Dorje Shugden Retreat programme will be frequently held for the benefits of the article readers.

The Unknown

The Known and unknown are both feared,
Known is being comfortable and stagnant,
The unknown may be growth and opportunities,
One shall never know if one fears the unknown more than the known.
Who says the unknown would be worse than the known?
But then again, the unknown is sometimes worse than the known. In the end nothing is known unless we endeavour,
So go pursue all the way with the unknown,
because all unknown with familiarity becomes the known.

Sick animals are more profitable... farms calculate how close to death they can keep animals without killing them. That's the business model. How quickly they can be made to grow, how tightly they can be packed, how much or how little can they eat, how sick they can get without dying... We live in a world in which it's conventional to treat an animal like a block of wood. ~ Jonathan Safran Foer

This happens daily in slaughterhouse so you can get your pork and Bak ku teh. Stop eating meat.

Pastor Gim Lee giving guidance. "Pastor Gim Lee and I assisted the retreatants in setting up the altar and Pastor Gim Lee performed Druchuma Puja (Kalarupa) to start the retreat. Pastor Gim Lee also guided them during the first session to introduce them to retreat procedures. The group completed 7 sessions of retreat and ended each night with circumambulation of the holy sites in Kechara Forest Retreat. Dinner and lunch were catered by the kitchen team in Dukkar Apartments, which were all delicious and beautifully presented. All participants loved the food." by Cynthia Ng

Earlier this month, five members from our Puja House engaged in a Dorje Shugden retreat, spending three days in Kechara Forest Retreat strongly focused on Dorje Shugden whilst reciting 185,000 of his mantra. It was a fantastic opportunity for them to create a closer connection with this enlightened Dharma Protector, as H.E. Tsem Tulku Rinpoche shares. If you would like more information about how you too can engage in retreats at Kechara Forest Retreat, please direct your enquiries to our friendly Front Desk team (care@kechara.com or +603 7803 3908).
