New Full-Time Staff in Kechara!
Dear friends,
I would like to share some joyful news with everyone. One of my students has decided to pursue a full-time Dharma career in Kechara! Like many Kecharians who do very well in their secular job, Freon Tee found a sense purpose in Kechara and decided to join full-time to serve others. Wonderful!
I wish her all the best in her spiritual journey with Kechara. Many people have the desire to do Dharma full-time but have countless obstacles prohibiting them… Freon and all our full-time Kecharians are very fortunate to be in a condition where they are able to pursue a Dharma career. I rejoice from my heart for her good fortune.
Do Dharma with the sincere wish to benefit others. Maintain harmonious relationships with your Dharma brothers and sisters. Be a team player because we all work better together than alone. When we do our work better together, we can bring the Dharma to more people. If we have a good motivation and work hard, then we will be successful.

Freon Tee Hui Hoon
Freon graduated from one of Malaysia’s best government university, University of Malaya, with a Bachelors Degree in Social Medical. Armed with a 9 year experience from various fields, including a 1.5-year job placement in China, Freon is ready to implement her valued experience in Kechara Oasis (KO).
Ironically, Kechara’s vegetarian restaurant was Freon’s first encounter with Kechara! Being part-time vegetarian at that time, Freon enjoyed dining at Kechara Oasis with her friends. Whenever she came to dine, she would ask more questions about Kechara as the Buddhist organization.
In March 2011, Freon’s sister miraculously regained her mobility due to Rinpoche’s help. Ever since then she has taken a keen interest in the Dharma, voraciously watching Rinpoche’s You Tube videos.
She started regularly volunteering in several departments, and it was from that experience that she began to feel more connected to spirituality and began rethinking about the purpose of life. Being a sociable person, Freon got to know many Kecharians and she felt very inspired seeing many young and capable people joining Kechara.
After experiencing so much and overwhelmed by gratitude, Freon decided to join full-time to bring Dharma to many others as well as to share Kechara’s vision of Kechara Forest Retreat and Kechara World Peace Center.
Freon will be joining Kechara as Kechara Oasis’ Marketing & Sales Executive. Do drop by the restaurant for a meal, and a chance to say Hi!

Freon is still in Kechara and helping out at KFR, manages Puja and etc. This is inspiring!
She is definitely a great Dharma sister to have. The first impression that I have for her is responsibility and efficient! She manages our order for Pujas well. She even took her time and effort to msg us privately so that we are kept informed of Kechara latest news. Thanks Freon and hope all the best for you. May you reach the other shore soonest.
Glad to see so many younger generation to join full time in dharma work especially Kechara. That mean the dharma is growing in this region.

I joined Kechara Oasis since July 2012. Now is month of December , 5 months since in Kechara Oasis. Today, i re-read this post , i was amazed by the advised of my dearest Guru, In Kechara Oasis, i have learned and still learning to work as team member , to have different point of views. To push myself to work not to satisfy my desire, but to really work to benefit others. I truly appreciate the chances that Rinpoche gave for me to be in Kechara. The message from Rinpoche:-

I always see Jack helping out at Gompa especially during puja & the last prostration retreat. Very helpful and sincere young man.
Freon is a very intelligent lady and has kind heart. Knew her from Lamrim class but we get closer during the Manjushri debate and then under the pastor in trainee program. She is sincere, always share with people and very helpful to all around her. She always just give and does not ask for return. When I do not have transport to go back home, she will even come all the way from her office to fetch me home!
I rejoice for both of them joining Kechara and we can work for Dharma together. Let’s work together to make KFR & KWPC a reality. May you advance in your spiritual journey and touch more people’s hearts with Dharma.

Congratulations, Jack & Freon. Consider yourselves very lucky indeed that the way is clear for you to pursue a dharma career full-time. It’s way better to start young, when you have more energy and time on your hands.
Two more young, intelligent people joining Kechara!
These are the minority in our society. It takes courage, determination, faith, passion, drive for something more than what all their peers are pursuing. They are the minority because they see life is more meaningful when they use it for the many others instead of just for themselves.
I respect such people very much.

Welcome Jack and Freon! You choose to pursue Dharma in your life because there is more to life than just work, family, friends and entertainment. This will become an inspiration for other young peoples to make decisions in their life, decisions which could lead to long term happiness instead of short term happiness. The journey is the goal, you have see the goal, now is the time to pursue it with all your might.

More and more young people are joining Kechara full time. They are very fortunate that Rinpoche has worked so hard for so many years here in Malaysia to set up the platform for these younger generation to be able to continue their spiritual journey before they get tainted with society’s expectations.

Congratulations to Jack and Freon. Jack is a kind,friendly young man, even though I don’t know much about him, but I think that he is a sincere person. And Freon, I got to know her more during last year. She is very smart and very talented. I rejoice for both of them.
From what Rinpoche has said here, “do Dharma with the sincere wish to benefit others” is equal to ALTRUISM, while “maintain harmonious relationships” and “be a team player because we all work better together than alone” are equal to HARMONY. Eventually, these are the 2 key points for us/a Dharma centre to grow. Thank you Rinpoche for reminding us. I have put this in my mind always.
