From Cusco, Peru
On the 29th of December 2011, I received a very nice letter along with a beautiful card and unique gifts from Ms Veronika Tupayachi, via my liaison Beng Kooi. I am very happy to receive Veronika’s sincere letter. I had previously given her a gift about 2 years ago, and her appreciation towards a gift from me is still the same: very appreciative.
She sent some gifts that are unique to Cusco, Peru. In her card (below), she explained that she wanted to give something that couldn’t be gotten here in Malaysia… even mentioning that it’d be fine with her if I gave them to someone else! What a sincere person.
Veronika also gave great news about a huge project she’s involved in… the construction of a Stupa in Cusco, Peru! The Stupa will be built on the land that was envisioned by H.H. Chetsang Rinpoche a few years ago. Building a stupa is an excellent way to purify our negative karma and obstacles, and to accumulate vast amounts of merit for our Dharma work to flourish in the region. I am very happy for her and for all who are involved in this beautiful project. It is always wonderful to see Dharma students all over the world who have sincere motivation of benefiting others. I wish them all the luck to complete this holy project.
I wish her and her team to be free of obstacles in acquiring the land envisioned by H.H. Chetsang Rinpoche and for the building of the great stupa to come up smoothly. May the stupa be erected quickly to benefit the many beautiful people in Cusco. Following their teachers advice will sure to have many excellent blessings and benefits. Wonderful.

Letter from Veronika Tupayachi
Dear Beng Kooi,
Now 2 years passed after I received the wonderful gifts of H.E. Tsem Rinpoche. I’m deeply thankful to Rinpoche for His generosity and advices. I was so overwhelmed by the gifts that I was little afraid thinking that I couldn’t replay His generosity, and all the time I was thinking to send Him a present.
I’m sending now some small souvenirs from Cusco in Peru that I hope Rinpoche likes. I think in value are very small but all they are made here in Cusco and I think this, one can’t find in other places. I hope he likes, or at least Rinpoche can give to someone else.
We are doing fine here, and we have a very big project of purchase of a land for the construction of a Stupa here. I hope every thing will go well with the purchase of a land that it’s the vision of H.H Chetsang Rinpoche some years ago. We are working on it, and we are doing Tara prayers. I wear the pendant that H.E Tsem Rinpoche gave me and I’m deeply thankful for Him and all you.
I wish a long life for H.E and I hope all His activities will be smooth and will flourish for the benefit of all beings,
Many greetings,
Veronika Tupayachi

Traditionally, the Stupa is a representation of the enlightened mind of the Buddha and, as such, is a method for harmonizing, purifying, and balancing the elements of the environment. Stupas are structures that have been built for thousands of years, representing the highest potential of the mind, and bringing peace, harmony, health, and happiness to the surroundings areas. By participating in the building of a stupa, it is an extremely great merits ,to purifying our negative Karma and obstacles and it will enriches one’s own body and mind. Rejoice to Ms Veronika Tupayachi, been involved in the construction of a Stupa in Cusco, Peru. The very first stupa been built in Peru with the effort of Buddhist practitioners of various traditions and supporters. This project finally constructed after a few years and glad to hear from Ms Veronika who has not forgotten Rinpoche’s generosity and advices . May more people in Peru get to receive the blessing .
Thank you for this sharing.
I just came across to this post. I just wanted to tell RInpoche that we built a beautiful and the first and only one (by now Stupa) in Cusco- Perú on 2016. Our Stupa was initiated and blessed by HH Drikung Kyabgon and other teachers. Process was very hard and very joyful. We were very fortunate to have such a task to accomplish the wishes of our teachers and to benefit other beings. Please take care and many greetings to Rinpoche, hope He is healthy and activities going very well

It is quite exciting to hear that more Buddhist temples is building up all over the world. Rejoice !
Veronika is a kind and mindful person, even after 2years she is still appreciating, practicing and be mindful.
Generosity is not based on the commercial value of gifts, but the motivation from the giver with a sincere heart! Incidentally, we greatly rejoice in your stupa construction project in Cusco, Peru, Veronica. We believe this will generate a vast amountof merits and an excellent way to purify any negative Karma and obstacles, as Rinpoche has mentioned. May you continue to collect many more similar blessings and benefits in all your future dharma works and activities. All the best to you Veronica.
Only much recently that I know of building a stupa generates tremendous amount of merit in the region, the bigger the better. Stupa represents the enlightened mind of a Buddha. I am happy that the Rinpoche’s gifts to Veronika motivates her in her spiritual practice. Now she has the opportunity to involve in building the stupa. 🙂
Sometimes due to tremendous obstacles when we are doing dharma activities we feel very tired, but thinking that the vision of the Great masters are pure and just for the benefit of all beings we try to work efforless. We pray that the true feeling and motivation to really benefit all the beings, may born in our hearts very soon, so our motivation would be not only to serve with all our heart to our masters but to bring benefit to all beings!!!, thanks for your words skyong!
How thoughtful of her to send gifts that can’t be bought in other places except Cusco and that it is from her own initiative! May their project be successful so that many can receive the blessings!
