Ascendants of the Snake
The ascendants below are related to the Chinese Lunar Sign of the Snake. Each period of time during the day corresponds to a different Chinese horoscope. So, although it is the Snake’s individual choice on which path he will take in life, there may perhaps be other “inner voices” which will influence him. These “inner voices”, “other self” or “inner struggle” comes from their conflicting ascendants.
11PM – 1AM: The Rat Hours
You are a Snake who knows how to harness the influence of powerful friends who can help you rise to power. You have a formidable network of friends and a storehouse of information. Although you are sentimental and possessive about almost anything, you are generous to your family because you love them.
1AM – 3AM: The Ox Hours
The Ox influence is good for you to learn to be more duty bound and responsible where there is no gain, be more patient, less selfish and less superior to others. However, with your elusiveness, you could be more difficult to deal with if you have the Ox’s will power and stamina.
3AM – 5AM: The Tiger Hours
The Tiger’s outgoing influence makes you a warm and versatile Snake that can move the crowd. However, since both are the suspicious type, you are prone to emotional upheaval and can be temperamental and distrustful especially when you are in a negative mood. You are the generous and giving type and people who have any association with you will benefit greatly.
5AM – 7AM: The Rabbit Hours
The Rabbit influence makes you a tranquil, collected and self confident Snake. You give the appearance of being non-combative and are adept at political manoeuvring and intelligent negotiation. You have good judgment. However, you could be equally deadly if you are betrayed or someone gets in your way.
7AM – 9AM: The Dragon Hours
With the Dragon’s touch of philanthropy, egalitarianism and power coupled with the Snake’s wisdom, you can bring about lasting reforms especially those that can benefit humanity. You are an inspiring leader, a good speaker and have droves of followers. You are always committed to whatever you set your mind on.
9AM-11AM: The Snake Hours
A Snake ascendant influence causes a double dose of all good and bad characteristics in a Snake. Mysterious, possessive and deep, you will only show others what you want them to see. Your thoughts are very private and it is very difficult to figure you out. Whatever your goals are, you will hold on to it tightly once you get hold of it.
11AM-1PM: The Horse Hours
The carefree and love of freedom characteristics of the Horse make you a happier Snake that would opt for a more ordinary existence rather that the pursuit of wealth and power. The extremely sensual nature of both signs makes you very attractive to the opposite sex.
1PM-3PM: The Sheep Hours
The Sheep injects a dose of humanity and kindness in you and makes you a very powerful Snake with a dynamic vision. The Snake in you will know how to support the Sheep’s inclination for fine things and luxury but you must be careful not to overspend.
3PM-5PM: The Monkey Hours
A Monkey charisma is hard to ignore. Together with the Snake’s hypnotic charm, wisdom, glamour and wit, you will break many hearts and disarm many business opponents. You will only play a game that you are sure to win and you don’t handle failure very well.
5PM-7PM: The Rooster Hours
With the Rooster’s characteristics of persistence, competitiveness and strong views coupled with all the characteristic of a Snake, you will be an overachiever and a perfectionist in whatever you do.
7PM-9PM: The Dog Hours
The Dog brings a self-sacrificial nature into a Snake making you more altruistic, less selfish and less ambitious. You are more likely to have a stronger moral sense and noble conviction. Although both signs are thinkers and tend to be very private, the Dog influence makes you popular and more involved with people.
9PM-11PM: The Pig Hours
The Pig’s natural honesty and generosity and the Snake’s instinct and ambition can turn you into a popular leader who is inclined to share your good fortune with others. You will be loved by your followers.
