Dorje Shugden Miracles
As I began this article in tribute to the loving kindness of our Protector, Dorje Shugden, a thought ran through my mind. Is this the same everyday story, as there have been many miracles performed by the Great Protector Dorje Shugden and many people narrating their accounts of the miracles? Is my story one of the many stories that had been told?
Certainly, most of Dorje Shugden’s miracles are related to a personal experience of His mercy and kindness to devotees. In recounting the miracles I am sharing now, they are rather different in the sense that the receivers of these miracles are not within the Kechara space nor are they devotees nor do they have knowledge of our Great Protector. But they certainly were in dire straits and had turned to my daughter and I for help.
The first instance happened while we were both managing a cafe franchise in Shanghai. We had the pleasure to have employed many Chinese nationals within our work force and we developed a very good relationship with them. Being foreigners in China, there were a lot of rules and regulations unknown to us and our Chinese staff became great assets to our business.
One day in 2009, we noticed that our assistant bakery chef was crying and it is not a common thing for a Chinese man to cry publicly. He had just become a father a couple of days ago and was informed that due to an abnormal massive blood clot in the brain, his baby girl would not live and all doctors had given up hope on her.
On a natural impulse, my daughter and I advised him to seek a second opinion and to see whether the diagnosis could be different. He answered that he had and all three doctors shared the same opinion.
Immediately we consulted our Guru, H.E. the 25th Tsem Rinpoche for advice. Rinpoche told the father to make offerings to Dorje Shugden and with complete trust, to recite 10,000 mantras of OM BENZA WIKI BITANA SOHA. Rinpoche also mentioned that we should also recite for him and his daughter.
Upon completion of the mantras to be recited, within a period of three days, the father took his daughter to see the doctors again.
This is where the MIRACLE is – the blood clot had subsided! The doctors were amazed and began to have hope that the baby girl could be healed. Treatment began and while being on treatment and medication, the father continued to recite the mantra and especially so when administering medication to his daughter.
Today this little girl born with a huge blood clot problem is alive, going to school and in perfectly good health.
Although neither the father nor the girl had ever visited Kechara due to financial constraints, they will always be grateful for this miracle.

On another occasion in 2016, my daughter told us the wonderful news that one of her friends in Europe was pregnant with a pair of twins. However, the joy was short lived as with the advancement of the pregnancy and examination of the unborn babies, it was noticed that one of them had a very unusual development. Through the scanning process, it was observed that one of the babies had all his abdominal organs growing outside his stomach cavity and out of the physical form of his tiny body.
This was terrifying and the friend asked what could be done as she was seeking divine assistance. Tests would be done as to whether this phenomenon was due to a genetic deficiency or just a mere physical defect. If it was the latter, the pregnancy could continue and if not, then the baby with the problem would need to be aborted. This was of course not a good prognosis as it is almost impossible to extract a twin from the uterus and not endanger the other twin and the mother as well.
The Kechara puja team did pujas for the tests to be favourable so that the pregnancy could continue. Such was the success of the prayers that the phenomenon was confirmed to be not of genetic deficiency but physical.
Throughout the pregnancy, pujas continued to be conducted for all to be fine and for the birth to be fine too.
After birth, operations were done twice to place the abdominal organs back into the stomach cavity and during all that time, pujas were constantly requested by the mother. I am happy to conclude that all is well now although there were moments of great anxiety as infection developed during the operations. Throughout this time, pujas were once again constantly performed to remove obstacles and danger.
May Dorje Shugden continue to bless this baby boy to grow well and without further complications which are medically rectified.
Since the occurrences of these miracles, I have marvelled at how Dorje Shugden has so spontaneously helped “strangers” and the impact is very strong and powerful in my mind.
On reflecting on these miracles, it is also without a doubt that Dorje Shugden is the Protector and Guardian of all sentient beings whether or not they propitiate him. When called upon for help, He will be there.
How fortunate we are to be able to practice Dorje Shugden and to be able to help friends and people in need.

It moves me a lot when I read “It is not a common thing for a Chinese man to cry publicly.” That person must be heartbroken at a point. It is painful to know doctors had given up hope on his baby girl.
Rinpoche advices the father to connect with Dorje Shugden, after that miracles happened. The father made offerings with complete trust, he also recites 10,000 mantras of OM BENZA WIKI BITANA SOHA. In general Tibet has produced many powerful methods for the growth of our spiritual evolution. Dorje Shugden is an angel, a saint, a powerful spiritual protector-warrior who originated 350 years ago when a highly awakened Tibetan Lama fulfilled his vows to become a special being to grant protection, wisdom, material needs, safety when travelling (normal and astral travel) and spiritual awakening. Both the Great 5th Dalai Lama and the current His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama composed short yet effective prayers to invoke upon the power and blessings of this special saint and protector. One can recite either one of the prayers that you feel suits you, anytime or even daily. When you feel a special need for help, you can recite either prayer anytime. When you are feeling down, afraid or just need a blessing, you can recite them. After reciting either invocation, it is good to chant the mantra of Dorje Shugden: Om Benza Wiki Bitana Soha.
You do not have to be a Buddhist or practitioner of any religion to invoke upon the blessings and protection of this special enlightened and awakened angel Dorje Shugden. He helps all without discrimination or bias as he is filled with compassion and love. Divinity has no boundaries, they help all who call upon them.

His Holiness the 10th Panchen Lama
Tibetans commonly refer to His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama and His Holiness 10th Panchen Lama as the “sun and moon” of Tibetan Buddhism. They are the center of Tibetan Buddhist civilization, which draws to its sphere of influence millions of non-Tibetan practitioners. The Panchen Lama’s incarnation line began with the 16th abbot of Tashi Lhunpo Monastery, Lobsang Chokyi Gyeltsen (1570 – 1662). He was bestowed the title of Panchen Lama by His Holiness the 5th Dalai Lama after being declared as an emanation of Amitabha.
After being given the title, his three previous incarnations were posthumously also bestowed the title, making Lobsang Chokyi Gyeltsen the 4th Panchen Lama. He became a teacher to many Tibetans, Bhutanese and Mongolian religious figures, including His Holiness the 4th and 5th Dalai Lamas, and the 1st Jetsun Dampa of Mongolia. A prolific author, Chokyi Gyeltsen is credited with over a hundred compositions, including a number of commentaries and ritual texts that remain central in the Gelukpa tradition today. Along with his role as a teacher of the Dharma, the Panchen Lamas are usually responsible for the recognition of the rebirths of the Dalai Lamas, and vice versa.
The 10th Panchen Lama, Lobsang Trinley Lhundrub Chokyi Gyeltsen (19 February 1938 – 28 January 1989) continued both the spiritual and political roles of his predecessors. His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, his contemporary, was even heard to say and echo the Panchen Lama’s own words that the Dalai Lama would safeguard Tibet from the outside while the Panchen Lama would safeguard Tibet from the inside, as he never left Tibet after the political troubles of 1959. He was truly loved by the Tibetans, all the way until his passing. When he taught, thousands of people would attend, not only from his own Gelug lineage, but masters and practitioners from all traditions of Tibetan Buddhism.
At his sprawling monastery of Tashi Lhunpo, he has a special chapel specifically dedicated to Dorje Shugden, where prayers and rituals are performed on a daily basis. In his great omniscience the Panchen Lama held Dorje Shugden as the principal Dharma protector of the monastery. He also personally propitiated Dorje Shugden among other Dharma protectors, and even wrote extensive prayers and rituals to Dorje Shugden. These rituals and prayers are contained within his ‘sung bum’ or collected works, which are provided here. As such a great lama, with an erudite and clear understanding of the Buddhist scriptures, a teacher to millions in both Tibet and China, from an established incarnation line and an emanation of the Buddha Amitabha, he could not be mistaken about his practice of Dorje Shugden.
His Holiness 10th Panchen Lama is known for his composition of commentaries and practice texts that are still in use by contemporary Buddhist practitioners both in Tibet and across the world. One of these is a powerful ritual composition propitiating the compassionate Dorje Shugden.
Upon the request by Acharya Lobsang Jangchub to compose a shorter version of the prayer (sadhana) for the exhortation of activities of Dorje Shugden, Panchen Lama immediately composed an abbreviate form of Dorje Shugden’s Kangsol. This text is entitled “Manjunatha’s (Tsongkapa) Lineage protector Dorje Shugden and five forms wrathful propitiations and confessional prayers and fulfilment of activities rites” or “Melodious sound of Accomplishment of the Four Activities” for short. Once the prayers were completed, he had signs and strong feelings that Dorje Shugden has been working hard to protect the Buddhadharma in general and the lineage of Lama Tsongkhapa specifically.
Mirroring the abilities of one of his earlier incarnations, Khedrub Je, a disciple of Lama Tsongkhapa and master of both sutra and tantra, the Panchen Lama used his compositional skill and poetic prowess to create a masterful sadhana. Worthy of note is a praise in which the first letter of each verse is a Tibetan vowel. Such compositions are rarely seen, and have historically only been used when propitiating senior Dharma protectors such as Palden Lhamo and Kalarupa.
The Panchen Lama also stated that while composing the Dorje Shugden sadhana (prayers) he was filled with a sense of happiness and bliss. He ends the composition with not only his official title but his ordination name, Tenzin Trinley Jigme Choje Wangchuk, endorsing the validity of his work. He composed the sadhana in his own Tashi Lhunpo monastery while in the Hall of Clear Light and Bliss.

Dorje Shugden is a powerful protector deity who is also an emanation of Manjushri, a wisdom bestowing Buddha. Therefore, he has great ability to help us to progress further on the spiritual path. He does this by helping us to overcome obstacles and problems for the modern individual.
Due to his enlightened nature, Dorje Shugden is able to manifest 32 deities and within the same abode resides Setrap and Kache Marpo:-
1. 5 Dorje Shugden families or emanations. They consists of the following:-
– Dulzin Dorje Shugden, which performs activities to eliminate inner and outer obstacles.
– Shize, which performs activities to pacify all illnesses and disease.
– Gyenze, which performs activities to increase all desirable material and spiritual wealth.
– Wangze, which performs activities to control difficult people and circumstances.
– Trakze, which performs activities to wrathfully eliminate all insurmountable obstacles and life-threatening situations.
2. 9 Mothers. They represent protection of the five senses and developing control of the four elements. These are all attributes that signify their ability to assist tantric practitioners with their higher meditations.
3. 8 Guiding Monks. They represent the Eight Great Bodhisattvas (Avalokiteshvara, Manjushri, Vajrapani, Samantabhadra, Maitreya, Kshitigarbha, Akashagarbha, Sarva-nivarana-viskambini) and they bring about the growth of the Dharma, through the Sangha, Dharma practitioners and Dharma establishments.
4. 10 Youthful & Wrathful Attendants. They represent the ten wrathful attendants to avert inner and outer obstacles. They are beings who are from Mongolia, China, Kashmir, India, Bengali, etc.
5. Setrap. He is a senior Dharma Protector from India and an emanation of Amitabha Buddha. He had enthroned Dorje Shugden as an authentic Dharma Protector. Therefore, he also resides within the same mandala of Dorje Shugden.
6. Kache Marpo. He is not an emanation of Dorje Shugden but he is still an enlightened Dharma Protector in his own right. He was originally known as Tsiu Marpo of Samye Monastery. However, he has placed himself under the service of Dorje Shugden as his chief minister, performing many activities in order to protect and benefit practitioners. Therefore, he stands guard at the main entrance of Dorje Shugden’s mandala. He often takes trance of qualified mediums to speak.
7. Namkar Barzin. He is the reincarnation of an old Mongolian monk and when he passed away in Phari area of Tibet, his spirit was placed as a powerful assistant of Dorje Shugden. He guards and protects buildings and great institutions especially those that benefit others. He rides on a mythical Gyaling animal that resembles a goat but with scales.
These sacred images are available on *Vajrasecrets. They are made of high quality alloy and are one of a kind. They are based on the lineage of His Holiness Panchen Rinpoche’s monastery, Tashilhunpo in Shigatse, Tibet. In fact, the iconography of these statues are based on detailed photographs taken by H. E. Tsem Rinpoche during a trip to Tashilhunpo’s protector chapel. These are based exactly as the 10th Panchen Lama’s personal collection.

上年9月，我的至親心臟出現問題，心跳跌至30，雖然第一時間趕到醫院，但情況很危急，當時立刻致電pastor yek yee，她立刻進行了一場多杰雄登法會，以及點燈，醫生也在手術室，立刻裝上起博器，之後第二天，心跳慢慢回復正常，安然無恙。雖然過了大半年，身體還是撐不住，在彌留之時，再次做多次法會，甚至pastor親自前往，在病床前加持，當念經時，病者立刻變得平靜，忘記了所有痛楚似的，在最後的日子，因為病者實在太辛苦了，我只有祈求DS，不要再折磨她，要在沒有痛苦，沒有掙扎下，安祥離去，就在我在病房外祈求時，至親的心跳由90 ，在一分鐘內停止，面容好像睡著一樣，醫生也覺得很突然，說很少會有這情況出現。

The stories show that Dorje Shugden is a real Dharma Protector that is capable of protecting people. Sadly the CTA and the Dalai Lama do not recognize that fact, what’s more people who practice Dorje Shugden are abused in many ways. Even though the people practicing Dorje Shugden are abused,they still keep praying to him. Why? Because they know that practicing Dorje Shugden will benefit them.
I really hope that the Dorje Shugden ban will be lifted soon without any further ado, and once again thank you Datuk May for writing this informative post.
Although very brief, these interesting miracle stories of Dorje Shugden certainly shows how swift and powerful Dorje Shugden is towards granting quick protection. I think in this day and age, such stories are what people like to hear and gives credence to the practice and establishes that the deity does exist and one’s practice can bear results.
In light of how people have been misguided about Dorje Shugden, such stories does weaken wrong impressions and notions. People must understand that it takes a bit of effort to erase wrong notions that have been strongly suggested over time. Therefore, when we talk about Dorje Shugden in a positive light, we are correcting wrong views about Dorje Shugden. In the end, more people practice Dorje Shugden and more would eventually enter the Dharma because of Dorje Shugden.

It again proved that Dorje Shugden is Buddha, out of compassion, he will help anyone around the world. We are very lucky in this life to meet Rinpoche, so that we are able to practice Dorje Shugden in Kechara. We must have faith in Dorje Shugden, and surrender fully to Dorje Shugden, as he is the protector of our time, and he will come to us swiftly. Thank you Datuk May. Please continue to share your stories as they inspire. I’m not a believer in miracles per-sey as I believe firmly in interdependence, and see miracles as such. That said, it is clear you have a strong connection to the protector. It is heartwarming to read stories such as these. It helps one develop complete trust in the Guru, the Practice & protector. Dorje Shugden can benefit many in so many ways. He helps, and all we need to do is let go of our egos, ask, propitiate and trust him. The protector will always give us what we need. I do hope more people will get to know Dorje Shugden and receive his help and blessings, because with him around, we are in good hands. Lastly, I’d like to thank H.E. Tsem Rinpoche for giving us this treasure trove of teachings, especially on the practice, history, nature, etc of Dorje Shugden and allowing his students to share their stories and experiences.

Thank you Datuk May for narrating these accounts on how Lord Dorje Shugden helped these people although they have little to no knowledge on Rinpoche. This shows that Buddha’s compassion is present and all-pervading. Besides, it shows that the nature of Lord Dorje Shugden as an Enlightened being, that helps no matter one knows Him or not and never ask for favour.

These stories join the growing number of stories of miracles performed by the compassionate Dorje Shugden for friends and people in dire need of Shugden’s help , who had never heard of Shugden before this. This is clear evidence that Dorje Shugden is a Buddha and a very compassionate Buddha.
The two stories record amazing miracles! In the first miracle story, pure faith, offerings to Dorje Shugden and the chanting of Shugden’s mantra resulted in the subsiding of the blood clot in the brain that threatened a newly born baby’s life, and in her complete healing!
In the second miracle story, the twin baby who had an unusual development of abdominal organ being outside the stomach cavity and outside his tiny body, experienced a miracle when,after a continuous series of pujas by Puja House throughout the mother’s pregnancy, the baby’s abnormal condition was determined as physical and operable and the operations were done and the organ was successfully transfered into the stomach, after his birth. A miracle again , owing to the faith of the mother , and of the friends who had helped the mother connect with our Guru,Tsem Rinpoche, and Dorje Shugden.!
Two lives were miraculous saved, thanks to Shugden’s compassionate intervention!
Thank you Datuk May for sharing the experience of how Dorje Shugden helping and protecting those who were in danger and harm. Dorje Shugden is a fully enlightened Dharma Protector and if one sincerely requests and pray to Dorje Shugden, one will be protected and guided to the positive side, out of the dangerous situation.
During my previous Nepal pilgrimage in December 2016, the airport in Lumbini was covered with thick fog and not possible to allow any plane to take off or land on the runway. Our pilgrimage team and I immediately recited Dorje Shugden Trakze’s mantra and offered Serkym to request for Trakze’s help to clear the fog away from the airport and the surrounding area. Eventually after few hours, the sun started to be seen and the fog slowly disappeared, which allowed the plane to bring us back to Kathmandu safely on that very afternoon.
Trakze is also known as Karma Shugden, which is the most wrathful emanation of Dorje Shugden. Trakze’s practice can eliminate unnatural disasters, problems, difficulties, overcoming powerful delusions and very negative or harmful energies.
I sincerely thank Tsem Rinpoche for guiding us with Dorje Shugden’s practice as Dorje Shugden’s practice can help us to clear obstacles and provide conducive conditions for us to continue staying on to the Dharma practice everyday.

Thank you Datuk May for sharing yet more amazing miracles of Dorje Shugden. They are too good to not be shared. I’ve heard nothing of any harm upon anyone propitiating Dorje Shugden who is Manjushri himself. Only an enlightened being can be depended on consistently. So many wonderful accounts abound. All encompassing and compassionate, he helps not only Buddhists or people who “believe” in him. This is a day and age when we need Dorje Shugden the most. May the many people whom Dorje Shugden has helped by removing their most immediate obstacles have the realisation that this positive experience should pave the way for dharma practice because it is the study and application of the dharma that would bring true and lasting healing.
Amazing miracles……….its show that the practice of Dorje Shugden is so powerful and will help whoever needs help regardless of race and religon, far or near as long we have faith and trust. Dorje Shugden is an emanation of Manjushri , arose to protect the teachings of Lama Tsongkhapa. Dorje Shugden helps us to purify our own negative karma and clearing o bstacles .It is a very beneficial practice and we can inturn to help our friends and people in need.

Dorje Shugden( DS)is World Peace Dharma Protector and he is emanation of Manjushri (Buddha of Wisdom). DS always help anyone to clear inner or outer obstacles in order for us to have a conducive environment to practice Dharma.
From above miracles cases, we can see that DS really compassion to help layman in samsara to overcome problems or difficulties.
In return to DS, we must practice Dharma to nurture or cultivate wisdom and compassion to benefits more people.

Dorje Shugden is a fully enlightened Dharma Protector that helps everyone. The bakery chef did not know who DS is initially, but with the faith and just mantra recitation, his daughter is saved.

With the kindness of Rinpoche, we are very fortunate to be able to learn Dorje Shugden practise here in Kechara with the right guidance. Dorje Shugden is an enlightened dharma protector and an emanation of Buddha Manjushri. During this degenerate time (Kaliyuga) it is even more important for us to do dharma protector practise in order to help us clear our various obstacles. Everyday we face with different types of challenges, be it health, mentally, career, financial, relationship and etc. Dorje Shugden practise is very powerful to remove our obstacles if we practise it diligently and with full trust.

Thank you for sharing. I knew of a close friend who after being influenced by Rinpoche to practise Shugden, experienced tremendous improvement in his career and financial prospect. From an ordinary employee, he rose to become a leader swiftly. His family fortunes too underwent beneficial changes. Strangely, he said, he remained unattached and has deepened his Lam Rim realisations simultaneously. I hope more anecdotes will surface to prove the veracity of DS worship.
