Blessed upon sight of these masters
Left-His Holiness Kyabje Ling Rinpoche of Drepung Loseling Monastery. Right-His Holiness Kyabje Trijang Rinpoche of Gaden Shartse Monastery. Two great tutors of His Holiness the current Dalai Lama. They fully educated His Holiness the Dalai Lama and tens of thousands of others disciples. They were the most sought after great masters in Tibet and in exile.
Ling Rinpoche was considered an emanation of Yamantaka. Trijang Rinpoche was considered an emanation of Heruka/Vajra Yogini.

These great masters were very close and worked together very closely to make sure the vast corpus of teachings of Lord Buddha in both Sutra/Tantra were passed down to His Holiness the current Dalai Lama. His Holiness the Dalai Lama expressed his deep appreciation for his two gurus here very much on hundreds of occasions. The two tutors worked hand in hand to educate H.H. Dalai Lama as well as the tens of thousands of disciples they both nurtured. Masters of this caliber are rare but definitely exists among us. We are fortunate to even gaze upon their presence in this picture.

H.H. Kyabje Ling Rinpoche, H.H. Dalai Lama and H.H. Kyabje Trijang Rinpoche. The two gurus of His Holiness Dalai Lama travelled with him everywhere. They were with him for over 30 years. The great magnificent knowledge of Dalai Lama today derived from these two masters. These two masters were disciples of His Holiness Kyabje Pabongka Rinpoche. Kyabje Pabongka Rinpoche passed many lineages both sought after and rare to Kyabje Ling and Kyabje Trijang Rinpoches. Both Kyabje Ling and Trijang Rinpoches always expressed their great faith and how much they owed to Kyabje Pabongka Rinpoche.
They truly are the GREATS in Tibetan Buddhism.
It is through Kyabje Trijang Rinpoche’s tireless work that 90% of the great lamas in the world today who are disseminating Dharma are either disciples of Trijang Rinpoche or of one of his illustrious students. This includes His Holiness the Dalai Lama and my root guru Kyabje Zong Rinpoche.
The relationship that Kyabje Trijang Rinpoche and Kyabje Ling Rinpoche has is somewhat unique yet extraordinary. Trijang Rinpoche would give certain teachings and empowerments to Ling Rinpoche, and Ling Rinpoche would receive certain teachings and empowerments from Trijang Rinpoche. So accomplished were these lamas that teacher was the student, and the student was also the teacher.
In 1969 Trijang Rinpoche taught Ling Rinpoche the Lamrim Chenmo, and in 1970 Ling Rinpoche granted Trijang Rinpoche Yamantaka empowerment. In return, in 1970 Trijang Rinpoche received from Ling Rinpoche the Action Tantra empowerment of Vairochana and also teachings on Lamrim Chenmo. In 1972 Trijang Rinpoche gave Ling Rinpoche teachings on the Guru Puja and Yamantaka, and in return received a teaching on tormas (ritual offerings) to Yamantaka from Trijang Rinpoche. This short excerpt illustrates how close the two tutors were to each other and very dedicated to their dharma works.

Merely looking at these rare precious pictures of great masters is a blessing. Two great tutors HH Kyabje Trijang Rinpoche and HH Kyabje Ling Rinpoche of H H Dalai Lama as seen in these pictures tells us a thousands words. Ling Rinpoche was considered an emanation of Yamantaka while Trijang Rinpoche was considered an emanation of Heruka/Vajra Yogini.

Merely by looking at these rare and precious pictures of the two great masters H.H. Kyabje Trijang Rinpoche and H.H. Kyabje Ling Rinpoche who was tutors of H.H. Dalai Lama is indeed a blessing. Both great masters had educated thousands of disciples with their erudite knowledge and great spiritual attainments. They shared a very close bond and were very dedicated to their dharma works. Their precious teachings had benefited many. They truly are the GREATS in Tibetan Buddhism……thats for sure.

We are truly fortunate able to view these rare pictures. Looking at the pictures tells us a thousand words and it’s a blessing merely by seeing it. The two great masters were tutors of His Holiness Dalai Lama and been travelling with Dalai Lama everywhere.

Thank you Rinpoche for sharing the pictures of 2 great and highly attained lama i.e Trijang Rinpoche and Ling Rinpoche. We are so blessed to be able to learn dharma from the great lama lineage.
Although Trijang Rinpoche and Ling Rinpoche are so highly attained but they showed us the meaning of being humble, compassion and care by exchanging knowledge and teaching to each other.

I love Trijang Rinpoche and Ling Rinpoche, they are now maturing to be teachers who will once again turn the wheel of the buddha dharma and bring across the world the teachings of Manjunatha!
These are really such wonderful photos of H.H. Kyabje Trijang Rinpoche and H.H. Kyabje Ling Rinpoche. It shows how close they both were together and how much they loved each other. It is so beautiful to see two incredibly attained monks sharing their thoughts, teachings, life and stories with each other. It’s also amazing that H.H. Kyabje Trijang Rinpoche and H.H. Thank You for sharing Rinpoche. I’m very surprised that H.H Kyabje Ling Rinpoche and H.H Kyabje Trijang Rinpoche were with H.H Dalai Lama for 30 years!! It was a very long period H.H Dalai Lama got to spend with His two amazing gurus, the pictures touch me the most.
We are truly blessed to have seen the pictures of Kyabje Trijang Rinpoche and Kyabje Ling Rinpoche. Thank you Rinpoche for sharing the important details about these two great masters that dessiminated the Dharma to people around the world. The two great masters are indeed wise and generous.They truly understand that there is no barrier in sharing Dharma knowledge.In the sharing ,they only show the interest to learn and to benefit others.There was no ranks or ego involved as it clearly indicated that the student became the teacher and later the teacher became the student.
We are very fortunate that these great lamas reincarnate in such a short period to further accomplish their task to spread the holy Dharma as we are so in need of it in this degenerate times.

Thank you for sharing this wonderful and sacred pictures of these two great lamas. I remember Rinpoche mentioned that Ling Rinpoche is Yamantaka incarnate and Trijang Rinpoche is Vajrayogini/Heruka incarnate. It’s amazing to have such pure beings within our midst. Their presence is a source of great merit for our world and for the Buddhadharma in general. It’s great the current incarnation of Trijang Rinpoche is coming of age and showing great and promising signs that his previous lives aspirations would fruition in this life. I hope the same would be for Ling Rinpoche who is recuperating from a terrible road accident I hear. I pray they would manifest their great deeds as what Rinpoche is doing to prepare for their coming of age, especially Trijang Rinpoche.
It is said that to be able to see a Buddha image in this day and age, it is already a blessing. But to be able to be near or even see Masters like H.H. Kyabje Ling Rinpoche, H.H. Dalai Lama and H.H. Kyabje Trijang Rinpoche together is rare. Furthermore, they have been with each other for 30 years. That accounts for loads of merit, karma, Guru Devotion and spiritual connection to each other.

Indeed the teachers are ever so kind and compassionate to teach and pass on their knowledge so that many more people can have access to Dharma knowledge.
