Thanks for sharing these mind blowing facts !
Actually, these intersting facts broadens our knowledge and the more things we are exposed to, it benefits us and others. I mean, who would have thought a fun roller coaster ride can actually leads to blood clot .. Also, all these while I really thought money was made from papers but turns out to be cotton.
It is relaxing to read interesting facts. Also interesting to see photos from yesterday-year
of friends . Nice post! Thank you for sharing.
The first thing that I want to check it out is the growing mushroom of Oregon?
Dear Rinpoche,
Thank you for sharing these 21 interesting facts. Didnt know roller coaster cna cost blood clot in the brain. And the facts about knuckles cracking is actually nitrogen gas bubbles bursting 🙂
Since the time when this post was posted until now. A lot has changed. Now money is mostly plastic. But i don’t really agree with the one about the shirts. Indeed mosquitoes cause quite a lot of deaths. Just in 2012 it killed 627000 people!! And not long ago i watched a TV program saying that cracking your knuckles brings no harm( But don’t do it near your spiritual teacher!!) And yes honey is half digested but it is also because it is liquid and not something solid.
Thank you Rinpoche for sharing this post.
Dear Rinpoche, I love to ride roller coasters but I didn’t know that riding roller coaster will give us a higher percentage of blood clot. And I also didn’t know that money is made out of cotton until read about this post. About the honey thingy, does it mean that we have been eating bee vomit or something like that?
This is so cool. I had no idea that money was not made out of paper but out of cloth! Amazing! I also found it interesting that if a scorpion comes faced with alcohol, it would sting itself to death. Sad though i have to say. Thank you for sharing these facts Rinpoche.
These facts are so interesting! Especially the one about us wearing headphones will increase the bacteria in our ears. I really didn’t know about that, and it’s quite scary because I have been wearing headphones for most of the time! Can’t imagine how much bacterias I have in my ears…ewwww..
I think I will stop using that now. Thank You for sharing Rinpoche.
Love, beatrix.
Wow, this article is so interesting. I didn’t know that right-handed peoples actually can live 9 years more than left-handed peoples. USA alone uses 29% of the world’s petrol and 33% of the world’s electricity. And money is made out of cotton, I always thought that money is made of paper.
I like this the most:
“Our nose is our personal air-conditioning system: it warms cold air, cools hot air and filters impurities.”
Didn’t realise we have a natural built in air-conditioning system! hehe. The more we learn, the more we realise there’s so much more to learn. Incredible. I guess the key here is never stop learning.
Very interesting facts, i never thought of The animal responsible for the most human deaths world-wide is the mosquito !
Imagine It cost 7 million dollars to build the Titanic and 200 million to make a film about it, all these facts seldom come into our mind…
I just want to share one more interesting fact from my experience:
“People who want to put you down or see you down always have humongous complexes…” LOL
I am curious about inherent existence and how it relates to reincarnation.Could you please explain a little about both and how they relate to one another????? PS I love your blog and always look forward to reading about Kechara. Bless you.
I will no longer get personal about my nose, as a protruding part of my face and should look better than it is, after all it is only an object functioning as an air conditioner. What a realization!
Very interesting facts and i love some of the accompanying photos!!!! The two most interesting facts to me were the one about headphones and the mosquito!!!
fun!
Wah…it is interesting to know it and feel good to share with friends!!!
Thanks, Rinpoche, for these interesting facts. At least now I know why honey is so easy to digest as it’s already been digested by a bee. But why do men’s and women’s shirts button on different sides?
One reason is that buttoning left over right…the man’s way…is supposedly easiest for right-handed people as most people are right-handed but according to legend, women button right over left because in medieval times they were dressed by their right-handed maids. So I guess we have to change the womens’s shirts button to the men’s side too as nowadays women do not have maids to dress them.
But one of the 21 facts is changing fast – latest generation of banknote money is increasingly made of polymer plastic. And soon it will be a ‘paperless’ world when the microchips take over all commercial transactions. Hehehe – have to make a chicky comment somehow.
