Pray for MH370 urgently please
Dear friends,
Our sincere prayers go out to the MH370 passengers, crew members, families and friends. This indeed a mystery and tragedy. Let’s hope for the best.
Brief Overview:
- 14 Nationalities on board.
- 227 passengers.
- Tzu Chi Buddhist organization has dispatched volunteers to Beijing to provide emotional support for families. These volunteers are called Blue Angels.
- 12 crew members.
- From Kuala Lumpur to Beijing.
- March 8, 2014-12:41AM.
- Due to arrive 6:30Am in Beijing.
- Disappeared 2.5 hours into the flight somewhere over the South China Sea .
- No indication of turbulent weather. The weather was fine.
- It was already at cruising altitude (35,000 ft) which is the safest part of the journey.
- China, Vietnam, Singapore, Phillipines and USA have sent rescue/search vessels to assist Malaysian rescue efforts.
- Before the disappearance, the pilot didn’t report anything amiss and no distress messages/signals sent out.
- So far Vietnam’s rescue planes have spotted two large oil slicks about 15km long and a column of smoke off it’s coastline, but not clear if connected to missing plane.
Please recite Dharmapala Setrap’s Mantra and dedicate the merits for the search and rescue mission to be free of obstacles. Offer candles and prayers. Or offer any prayers you can according to your own faith for these people. All prayers and good wishes matter now.

i will be praying for the all affected by the tragedy . I have to ask why do they make plains so they can float on water we could save life’s around the planet . I know I could do it with some helps from some others .it would be a great breakthrough in transpiration if we use the energy from all affected we could do it with ease
As the world focus its limelight on MH370, more aeroplanes or airlines related tragedy begin to surface on world’s news and media.
Lately, MH 17, then the tragic Taiwan incident, and now Air Algeria…
Thoughts and prayers for all those on board and their families…
No one ever thinks such tragedies of such nature and not many people will spend the time to prepare for such tragedies they may learn survival skill but no one can plan to brace themselves for a tragedy. Such is nature of our cyclic existence, one breath and we start our journey as a human, when the breath ends we then end our journey in this life. Which is very in accordance to the nature of lives. Who else but spiritual masters dare to tell us our lives are finite, our enjoyments are finite everything will pass.
How many of us will listen to such things?
It’s sad that till this very day the plane is still not found. But I am happy that people still care about MH370 and that people still put in effort into praying for them. I hope that their families are okay and that they are reunited with their loved ones soon. Thank you Rinpoche for posting this up. I hope many people pray for them
Mother of Perpetual Help, you have been blessed and favored by God. you became not only the Mother of the Redeemer, but Mother of the redeemed as well. We come to you today as your loving children. Watch over us and take care of us. As you held the child Jesus in your loving arms, so take us in your arms. Be a mother ready at every moment to help us. For God who is mighty has done great things for you, and God’s mercy is from age to age on those who love God. Intercede for us, dear Mother, in obtaining pardon for our sins, love for Jesus, final perseverance, and the grace always to call upon you, Mother of Perpetual Help.
You are called by many other holy names and titles particularly as our Lady of loretto whereby You are the patroness of aviators, pilots and safe flights..Mother of perpetual help, we pray and beseech Your divine and powerful assistance upon all the multinationals heroes and heroins in the search of the missing jet MH370 which was mysteriously dissapeared from the radar and missing into the thin air..no one knows what happen to them nor where they are located at..it remains a mystery..But Mother Mary, untier of all knots and mystery..We invoke Your divine and perpetual succour and wisdom upon all those who tirelessly searching MH370 and the whereabouts of the 239 passengers.We earnestly pray and hope that more clues and insights will be born and fruitful from these day and night search and may You open ways where it seems to be impossible making it possible so as speed up the process. Blessed Lady of the world..You assistance and powerful intercession is needed the most. I am very happy to hear that there are a lot of people from different parts of the world who are praying for MH370. I too am wishing for their save arrival back to their loved ones. I can imagine the pain and worry their loved ones must feel right now and i hope those pains and worries go away soon and that the plane is found.
At the time of writing, it has reached its eight depressing days that the MH370 flight has disappeared. Since everyone is feeling perplexed, depressed and disturbed by the missing flight, the longer the whereabout of the flight is unknown, the more bigotry and intolerance the relatives of the missing passengers and crew may feel and subjected to such disturbed precadictment. At this point of time, we should support and have compassion for the nation and not do anything to worsen the situation. With joint voices of all faiths and ethnicities, as we pray deeply for the missing, our prayers are also echoed by all religious, political leaders and friends of the missing. We are also praying that the forces of moderation will overcome all evils of extremisms.
As the search enters it’s 8th day it is really sad that no concrete evidence has been found. I am praying that the search and rescue operation will bear it’s fruit as soon as possible and hopefully the passengers will be found alive.
It is really puzzling how a plane as a Boeing 777 is able to vanish in to thin air and till today no solid evidence has been found.
I really hope that they find the missing plane as son as possible and that all the passengers and crew will be safe.

Have been making candle offering and recite setrap mantra to be dedicated specially to the rescue teams so that they are able to find MH370 ASAP and may all the passengers and crew members return safely.
For all of us, whether we have someone we love or we know on board or not, the best thing we can do is to send in as much prayers as we can for them.
I hope from this tragedy, more people will realise that life is so fragile and we don’t even know how much more time we have. If there is anything we need to do, do now. Don’t wait till the so called “best time” to do it, cos we don’t even know whether we still can wake up tomorrow and see the sun rise or not.
May all the prayers continue till MH370 is found.

Though we cannot even begin to fathom the pain and worry the families and friends of those on board must be going through, with heavy hearts, we share their sorrow. May the plane and all on board be found soon, may they be protected by Setrap. May there be no hindrance to the SAR mission, and all who are involved be protected. Whatever the outcome, may the families and friends have strength, courage and acceptance.
I am sure that everyone is very worried and i am too. This plane has many people that if they were lost or died that would devastate many people. I really hope the passengers can come back home.

At KH Gompa, we will be praying for and dedicating all the weekly pujas this Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday to all on board the plane Flight MH 370 and their loved ones. We will also be lighting candles for them.
Let us all join hands and pray for all of them that they continue to be looked after and be protected by the Three Jewels and by the Protector.
I guess the most scary part about this whole incident is the fact that nobody knows what happened to the plane. They are saying that it is beginning to look like the Air France plane crash in 2009 where it took a couple of years to recover the wreckage of the plane. However, that plane crashed in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.
Anyway, the mystery is irking many people especially the families and friends of the passengers. There are so many theories as to what could have happened with the latest being a terrorist attack. However, no groups have come forward to claim this heinous act if it was that. I guess, we can all pray for the mystery to be unraveled and for the truth to reveal itself. May the plane be discovered real soon and we shall have a clue as to what happened to it.
We will do our prayer and wishing that MH370 can be found! May Lord Setrap remove all obstacles.
In times of sadness, we need to offer our prayers, well wishes, support and thoughts to the missing passengers and crew and their families to pray they may be found safe and sound. It is joyful to see everyone in the world offering their assistance in whatever they can to the Government of Malaysia and Malaysia Airline to resolve this quickly.

This is indeed very heartbreaking. My heart aches every time I read news or articles relating to this tragedy… imagine the fear and the agony of the passengers and the crew members, and their families too.

I really wish that the 239 people have landed safely and waiting to be rescued. Its a lot of lives on the plane, every single life counts. Sometimes things happen just like that, without any warning, signs and whatsoever. It is indeed very mysterious because the plane just vanished according to the radar, and before vanishing there wasn’t any distress call or may day, that makes the whole incident even complicated. But of course its not important how it went missing, most importantly the innocent lives on the plane. May they be safe.
Thank you Rinpoche for your blessings to all the people in MH370 airplane. I pray for the best to the 239 people in the MH370 airplane. May the Buddhas from all directions protect and bless the 239 people on that plane.
My heart and my prayers go out to the passengers, crew and families of this tragic flight. The anguish of families waiting for news has intensified as the ongoing search has yielded nothing to date. It’s been two days already.
We continue to pray that they be blessed and protected by the Three Jewels and the Dharma Protector Setrap .All of different creeds come together in prayer.
This morning at Kepong Metropolitan Park, we dedicated the animal liberation event (the release of 2 barrels of fish into the lake)to all who had been on board the flight, as well as their families.At Kechara House, adults and children who came for the dharma classes this morning, also lit candles and dedicated to them.

Our study group here at KHJB is very concern on the well being of the passengers of flight MH 370.Grace who lead our Setrap puja at the center today along with the members who was present today .Dedicated todays puja for lord Setrap to assist in the swift relocating the whereabouts of the passengers .May the passengers and the crew of flight MH370 be blessed and protected by the Three Jewels all the time.

Thank you for sharing this. I wish that all these people who were in the plane and the family affected would find happiness, even in their darkest moments. It is however wonderful to see Malaysians of all sources unite to such a cause.
Thank you Rinpoche for the sharing. It was a shock and unexpected incident- MH 370 mystery missing…..This incident has taught us about impermanence.We shouldn’t waste our time in blaming any party who involved in this painful and sad incident anymore, because it won’t help much. A part from that, I think most of us already know about the result of searching/rescue MH 370, but please dedicate the merits to those victims. May miracle happen…. On Mani Pedme Hum.

Life is full of unpredicted. May all of passenger MH370 be safe, may all our crew, friends pray together for blessed and protected by Lord Setrap always. OM MAHA YACHA SHA SOHA……..
My thoughts and prayers are with the crew members, passengers and families. It is really heartwarming to see everyone coming together in prayer, no matter what race or religion. I pray that MH370 will be found soon and that their families will find the strength to get through this. Om Maha Yakcha Tsa Soha.
This incidence hits me deep, and this may be due to my participation as being part of Kechara as well as Rinpoche’s teachings. We have always said lives are fragile, they are. All these passengers on board were so happy to be heading another destination, and the crew members were simply doing their jobs as if it was just another working day.
Everyone has heavy heart now. We all pray that all will come back safely. Hoping that it was just a cross-over to another unknown and that is JUST the reason why they have not been found till now and nothing more.
Life is fragile. Cherish the time we have. Always be good (or at least try our best).
My sincere wish that all passengers and crew members are safe and sound.

Imagine if the 227 people are somewhere waiting for the rescue, surviving till now without food, water, losing hope when every second passes, no proper shelter, body getting weak, some falling sick, some wounded. They need the rescue team to rescue them, they need us to send our best prayers to them.
What we need to do now is to spend some time, do a prayer and dedicate to them and their family. Let us send all our prayers to them.
