Good News!
Myself officially signing the certificate of incorporation of the "Tsem Rinpoche Foundation, Inc" today (Feb 19, 2014).
February 19, 2014-Very good news! We just received the official notice today and it’s legal and binding!
A few weeks ago I have applied for Tsem Rinpoche Foundation status. This allows us to operate as a Buddhist Church, have charitable activities, publish literature for educational purposes, start a dharma center or premises, and allow all donations to be totally tax exempt here in the USA. Today the status has arrived signed, sealed and official. We are now “TSEM RINPOCHE FOUNDATION, INC” approved by the US government to operate as a non-profit Charitable institution in the US. The good thing in the US is if you have all your paperwork and apply, it is granted within the stipulated timing. Quite fast with no fuss or delays. I like that. So today officially we have a foundation set up!
Already without any plans we had someone immediately donate to this foundation for our dharma works today just when the foundation was official today. That was an auspicious omen to me. We will use this first donation to open our Foundation’s official bank account tomorrow. This duration of the existence of the Foundation is perpetual.
Now I have more reasons to remain in USA longer perhaps as things are easier and efficient.

Feb 21, 2014 - The hardworking group that has been dedicated, committed and fully responsible for all the pioneering work here in the USA with Tsem Rinpoche. I am deeply grateful for their genuine care for others motivating them to engage in Buddhist works with me. They have set aside so much of their personal life to work for dharma so it brings enhancement to the lives of others.

Even though it’s an old post, yet its definitely a great news . Official notice dated February 19, 2014, “TSEM RINPOCHE FOUNDATION,INC” were approved by the US government. Wow…..a happy and joyful news for Rinpoche and everyone at that moment.

It’s great news! More people around the World if they are not on Rinpoche’s blog will know about Rinpoche through the Foundation.
If only Malaysia is as fast as USA, then Rinpoche wouldn’t need to go USA to set up another Foundation.
The Tsem Foundation will do great things in the future, where the lama thats where the dharma will grow.

This is so great!! I hope that this makes RInpoche very happy and brings a lot of joy to Rinpoche. And also a lot of success. I am happy for Rinpoche and i hope that many people are as well. I wish for the Tsem Rinpoche Foundation to be successful and supported by plenty of people.
The legislation in US and other developed countries makes it so conducive for liked minded people to come together to work for worthy causes and benefit others. How nice if developing countries can implement similar legislation to make it easy too.
Although US if a developed nation, there are still a lot of people deprived of basic needs. May TSEM RINPOCHE FOUNDATION activities grow swiftly and bring help and relief to those in need.

I’m so thrilled to witness this. It is a big, BIG, H U G E, deal.
Such is the quality of H.E. Tsem Tulku Rinpoche, which clearly distinguishes him as a Bodhisattva from other beings. Like Rinpoche always said, “Dharma always teaches us to bring to mindfulness and compassion to what we feel in our heart and mind. We may not be able to prevent the disaster of life, but we can find whatever ways to unbind our senses of being, so that suffering is transformed into an awakened Heart that can do Good in this World, it would naturally make us feel more alive, loving and caring, both for ourselves and others.” As can be seen, in Rinpoche’s journey of life, even when young, he was prepared to practise these virtues, sometimes at the expense of his own life! Like a Bodhisattva, Rinpoche is always generous, full of wisdom, loving kindness and helpful. He practises these transcendental virtues to perfection, until in his final attempt when Rinpoche finally emerges as a Buddha. Om mani padme hung.

Indeed it was a wonderful news to rejoice on the auspicious sign for the initial stage of the Rinpoche’s Foundation Fund but from my point of view as one of Rinpoche’s student in Malaysia, I felt sad as this will cause us to drift further apart from our Guru!! Some of you might not agree with what I felt but hey I am not a great being.
That is a good news, this a starting path for more people in US to benefit from Rinpoche’s teaching. Very nice house and suitable place for audience. 🙂

In the Kechara House Buddhist Association Malaysia Annual General Meeting election for the 2 year term, 2014 – 2016 – Datuk May also announced the set up of the Foundation for Kechara in Malaysia to protect the current and future assets within the organization for future generation, run by trustees and registered with the Government of Malaysia.

Congratulations on this auspicious event! Please let us know where you will be settling down and how soon we can make donations to the new center. Although I have only received your teachings online, they have had the most profound impact on me. For this I would like to and would be honored to think of you as my Guru. Without a doubt I believe there are many of us here in the U.S. that would want to be a part of your mission. Tsem Rinpoche you are an inspiration to me and to all those whose lives you have touched, there are no words to express our gratitude.

I feel really happy for Rinpoche. Now Rinpoche finally have the permission to build a center in USA! I wish that Rinpoche will be able to spread the dharma throughout the whole USA and eventually the whole world. I also wish that may Rinpoche have no problems building the center in USA

Thank you for your comment and concern.
No, Kechara in Malaysia is not closing down. Many people, like sponsors, students, staffs and friends together with Rinpoche, have worked extremely hard throughout the years, through thick and thin to bring Kechara to where it is today. Many seeds have been planted, many people blessed, and many have benefited through the myriad of works by Kechara and Rinpoche.
Having Tsem Rinpoche as our spiritual guide, there is an abundance of teachings that Rinpoche has taught to the students here. Led by the Board of Directors, the organisation is working hard to continue to spread the teachings which Rinpoche has so kindly condensed and taught for it to be applicable in today’s society, as well as the lineage of Lama Tsongkhapa, to many more here in Malaysia and beyond.
We have the Kechara Forest Retreat ongoing, and we also have 10 dedicated and lovely pastors who have taken on the pastors vows to spend their lives in benefiting others through the Dharma.
Therefore, no, Kechara isn’t closing down because there are plenty whom we still need to work for and to benefit.

This is definitely great news for people in US! 🙂 Now US people can make contribution minus the tax deduction. A foundation gives a platform for people to come together and make things happen in an organized way more so for a charitable organization.
