寂天论师是约公元七八世纪之间的一位伟大佛教学者、僧人以及哲学家。他也被视为八十四位大成就者之一。 寂天论师出生为一名非常富有的王子。在登基国王典礼的前夕,他选择放弃了这个物质世界。如此非凡的转变,乃受到文殊菩萨的教诲和建议之启发。与此同时,他也选择在著名的那烂陀寺出家为僧。

Known is being comfortable and stagnant,
The unknown may be growth and opportunities,
One shall never know if one fears the unknown more than the known.
