Cancer cell

LATEST CANCER INFORMATION
from Johns Hopkins

AFTER YEARS OF TELLING PEOPLE CHEMOTHERAPY IS THE ONLY WAY TO TRY AND ELIMINATE CANCER, JOHNS HOPKINS IS FINALLY STARTING TO TELL YOU THERE IS AN ALTERNATIVE WAY …

1. Every person has cancer cells in the body. These cancer cells do not show up in the standard tests until they have multiplied to a few billion. When doctors tell cancer patients that there are no more cancer cells in their bodies after treatment, it just means the tests are unable to detect the cancer cells because they have not reached the detectable size.

2. Cancer cells occur between 6 to more than 10 times in a person’s lifetime.

3. When the person’s immune system is strong the cancer cells will be destroyed and prevented from multiplying and forming tumors.

4. When a person has cancer it indicates the person has multiple nutritional deficiencies. These could be due to genetic, environmental, food and lifestyle factors.

5. To overcome the multiple nutritional deficiencies, changing diet and including supplements will strengthen the immune system.

6. Chemotherapy involves poisoning the rapidly-growing cancer cells and also destroys rapidly-growing healthy cells in the bone marrow, gastro-intestinal tract etc, and can cause organ damage, like liver, kidneys, heart, lungs etc.

7. Radiation while destroying cancer cells also burns, scars and damages healthy cells, tissues and organs.

8. Initial treatment with chemotherapy and radiation will often reduce tumor size. However prolonged use of chemotherapy and radiation do not result in more tumor destruction.

9. When the body has too much toxic burden from chemotherapy and radiation the immune system is either compromised or destroyed, hence the person can succumb to various kinds of infections and complications.

10. Chemotherapy and radiation can cause cancer cells to mutate and become resistant and difficult to destroy. Surgery can also cause cancer cells to spread to other sites.

11. An effective way to battle cancer is to STARVE the cancer cells by not feeding it with foods it needs to multiple.

What cancer cells feed on:

a. Sugar is a cancer-feeder. By cutting off sugar it cuts off one important food supply to the cancer cells. Note: Sugar substitutes like NutraSweet, Equal, Spoonful, etc are made with Aspartame and it is harmful. A better natural substitute would be Manuka honey or molasses but only in very small amounts. Table salt has a chemical added to make it white in colour. Better alternative is Bragg’s aminos or sea salt.

b. Milk causes the body to produce mucus, especially in the gastro-intestinal tract. Cancer feeds on mucus. By cutting off milk and substituting with unsweetened soy milk, cancer cells will starved.

c. Cancer cells thrive in an acid environment. A meat-based diet is acidic and it is best to eat fish, and a little chicken rather than beef or pork. Meat also contains livestock antibiotics, growth hormones and parasites, which are all harmful, especially to people with cancer.*

d. A diet made of 80% fresh vegetables and juice, whole grains, seeds, nuts and a little fruits help put the body into an alkaline environment. About 20% can be from cooked food including beans. Fresh vegetable juices provide live enzymes that are easily absorbed and reach down to cellular levels within 15 minutes t o nourish and enhance growth of healthy cells.

To obtain live enzymes for building healthy cells try and drink fresh vegetable juice (most vegetables including bean sprouts) and eat some raw vegetables 2 or 3 times a day. Enzymes are destroyed at temperatures of 104 degrees F (40 degrees C).

e. Avoid coffee, tea, and chocolate, which have high caffeine. Green tea is a better alternative and has cancer-fighting properties. Water–best to drink purified water, or filtered, to avoid known toxins and heavy metals in tap water. Distilled water is acidic, avoid it.

12. Meat protein is difficult to digest and requires a lot of digestive enzymes. Undigested meat remaining in the intestines will become putrified and leads to more toxic buildup.

13. Cancer cell walls have a tough protein covering. By refraining from or eating less meat it frees more enzymes to attack the protein walls of cancer cells and allows the body’s killer cells to destroy the cancer cells.**

14. Some supplements build up the immune system (IP6, Flor-ssence, Essiac, anti-oxidants, vitamins, minerals, EFAs etc.) to enable the body’s own killer cells to destroy cancer cells. Other supplements like vitamin E are known to cause apoptosis, or programmed cell death, the body’s normal method of disposing of damaged, unwanted, or unneeded cells.

15. Cancer is a disease of the mind, body, and spirit. A proactive and positive spirit will help the cancer warrior be a survivor.

Anger, unforgiving and bitterness put the body into a stressful and acidic environment. Learn to have a loving and forgiving spirit. Learn to relax and enjoy life.

16. Cancer cells cannot thrive in an oxygenated environment. Exercising daily, and deep breathing help to get more oxygen down to the cellular level. Oxygen therapy is another means employed to destroy cancer cells.

(PLEASE SHARE IT TO PEOPLE YOU CARE ABOUT)

(* and ** I do not advocate eating any meat including fish and chicken. I have just reproduced the above as posted from the source.
We do not need meat to survive or be healthy many studies have shown.  For sure meat especially red meats are very harmful to our bodies and should be abandoned immediately. Abandoning meat is hard, but vital for healthy, active and long life in this day and age. We will get use to not eating meat after a while and our bodies will be better for it in the long run. We deserve the health from not eating meat. Tsem Rinpoche)

    Dear Rinpoche,

Thank you Rinpoche for sharing the information.

I believe a lot of cancers, illnesses and diseases are caused by the unhealthy lifestyle that we are leading. All the types of diet and lack of exercise make us easier to be attacked by these cancer cells which are just lurking in the dark and waiting to attack.

It is very sad to see people having cancer as I can see how much pain they are suffering. 1 of my auntie actually kept quiet although she have been suffering for years and it was just too late to do anything by the time we found out. I really do hope that people will do their best to take care of their health and not suffer when its too late.

Thank you Rinpoche for sharing this information. I think that feeling healthy is fantastic, it’s an amazing high, especially if we can remember that health may collapse any day. I know some will disagree with me and rather remain oblivious about this fact, but I think that when we acknowledge the fragility of anything that feels safe right now, we enjoy it best, we use it best, we use it wisely and we help others feeling good too to the best of our capacity.

Dear Rinpoche, thank you for sharing this article with us. What Johns Hopkins says here is valid and logical. Cancer cell can be eradicated by oxygen and this has been proven so. This is natural science and is practised in various parts of the world. Today this natural science and alternative medicine are available in Malaysia too. It is not only for cancer patients but also for many ailments such as cardivascular issues, uric acid, diabetic, lyme, HIV and many other diseases.

  13. Sean Wang on Apr 25, 2013 at 8:29 pm

This email contains a long collection of supposed cancer prevention and treatment tips.

A collection of cancer tips currently circulating via email did not originate from Johns Hopkins as claimed It also claims that freezing plastic containers or using them in a microwave oven can release cancer-causing dioxins into the container’s contents. The “warning” about plastics and dioxins also circulates without the cancer tips section and predates the above version by several years. Both the cancer tips and the plastics dioxin information is supposedly endorsed by Johns Hopkins, a world famous and highly respected medical research school based in the United States.

However, none of the claims in the message were published or in any way endorsed by Johns Hopkins. In fact, Johns Hopkins has released the following statement denying any involvement:
    STATEMENT: EMAIL HOAX REGARDING CANCER

Information falsely attributed to Johns Hopkins called, “CANCER UPDATE FROM JOHN HOPKINS” describes properties of cancer cells and suggests ways of preventing cancer. Johns Hopkins did not publish the information, which often is an email attachment, nor do we endorse its contents. The email also contains an incorrect spelling of our institution as “John” Hopkins; whereas, the correct spelling is “Johns” Hopkins. For more information about cancer, please read the information on our web site or visit the National Cancer Institute’s web site at http://www.cancer.gov. Please help combat the spread of this hoax by letting others know of this statement.
While some of the anti-cancer tips may contain elements of truth, the fact that they are not supported by Johns Hopkins as claimed in the message robs them of credibility. Many are anecdotal, oversimplified and not endorsed by the medical establishment. Moreover, the fact that they have been merged with false information about dioxins and plastics further erodes their credibility. Johns Hopkins has discussed each of these “tips” in turn on its information page debunking this hoax email.

In fact, any health-related advice or warnings that circulate via email, blogs and forums should be checked for accuracy before being passed on to others. And people need to be even more careful with their sources. Thank you!

Thanks Rinpoche for sharing this article to us.

Our life style or habits always is the cause of sickness. Let us remind why 20 to 30 years ago, our ancestors hard to get such sickness?? Its due to the environment and our life style.

At this moments, we hard to change the environment but we may try to change our life style or habits to reduce the chances to get this sickness…

  20. patsy on Apr 21, 2013 at 11:39 pm

Thank you, Rinpoche, for sharing this informative article. There are millions of people worldwide who are living with cancer or have had cancer. It is estimated that around half of all American men and one third of all American women will develop cancer during their lifetimes so an early detection of common cancers like breast or colon cancer and early treatment often means better chances of recovery.

As mentioned, a healthy lifestyle with regular physical activity, healthy diet and staying away from tobacco and sun exposure can help reduce the risk of getting cancers. I totally agree that a healthy diet does not need to include meat as the nutritional values can derived from vegetables, beans and soy.

  21. Cliff on Apr 21, 2013 at 9:44 pm

Thank you Rinpoche for providing us with this very informative facts of preventing cancer. It is indeed currently one of the highest cause of deaths, but also one which can be avoided yet many of us still continue to out ourselves into the path of cancer. I think one thing they should’ve mention was the use of cigarettes as well. A mentioned we do not need to eat meat to survive, i strongly agree with this and that the nutritional values coming from vegetables can still highly sustain our nutrition intake requirements. Eating meat only keeps us devouring poison and also fear and suffering of the animals. I do not want that to be inside my body nor do i want to be apart of such cruel acts. I was very surprised to find out from this article that even after passing chemotheraphy i never knew that there may be still cancer cells left in the body which cannot be detected. I really agree that how we live our lives, our lifestyle, our diet and our attitudes can really affect our health. Thank you for sharing Rinpohe.

When we equip ourselves with knowledge and practise cautious diet, I am sure most illness could be avoided. Before we fall sick, we should eat healthily already, and have a balanced diet and proper exercising and such. After all, prevention is the best protection against illness!
I believe that the most vital point is what we eat and drink. As it really affects our body. Even the article advises us to eat 80% of vegetables/fruits! Wow. A meatless diet is definitely the way to go! 😉 not only does vegetarianism benefits our bodies, it helps the animals to stay alive too! =D win-win situation right there! Hehe

Thank you very much for dating, Rinpoche!

Than you for sharing, Rinpoche! Sorry for not being mindful!

  24. Sharon Saw on Apr 21, 2013 at 12:51 am

In the United States, cancer is the second leading cause of death, exceeded only by heart disease. One out of every four deaths in the U.S. is from cancer. About 1.2 million new cancer cases are diagnosed in the U.S. annually and about 564,000 Americans will die of it each year – more than 1,500 people per day. Internationally, cancer is the leading cause of death among children and teens in the industrialized countries.

Whether the source of this advice is from Johns Hopkins or not, i think that we can look at the advice objectively and see that it is sound. For example, that a vegetarian diet is better than a meat one. Also i have read that an alkaline diet is better also. There are even special machines which make our drinking water alkaline as opposed to acidic, which is the norm. I think that rather than ignore western medicine and treatment for cancer or ignore alternative healing methods, we can combine both by supplementing the western medical treatment by eating and drinking right and leading a healthier lifestyle so that we can prevent cancer or help us recover from it and live longer.

  25. Lim Han Nee on Apr 20, 2013 at 11:36 pm

Thank you Rinpoche. I can’t imagine this to be a hoax. There is every reason to believe that a meat-based diet is snything but healthy. Animals in suffering release toxic enzymes into their meat. So whoever consumes the meat will be adversely affected by it. I feel that research on meat and the effects of enzymes being released into the meat should be pursued in earnest.

Thank you, Rinpoche, for this information about research that is pointing to an alternative to chemotherapy in’treating’ cancer.

Have few friends passed away in short time due to cancer too. I hope this info can benefits to friends around.

  30. Desmond on Apr 20, 2013 at 4:51 pm

This information is not new to me as I was researching alternative ways to help my mom few years back. She succumbed to late stage stomach cancer. At that point of time, my mom did not even stand 10% chance even on surgery or chemotherapy. I bought a lot of books and contacted many experts in alternative medicine which was not widely available here, many located at abroad. The reality is our cancer treatment has reach to a point that our current treatment method is no longer effective but still they practice due to protocol and other hidden agenda. Now with that, it is ourselves we need to be blame on the way how we eat daily. Our habit of eating lifestyle will determine how long we can live. If this statement came from John Hopkins then things have began to change now. So as much as we could go vege and healthy food.

        Dear Rinpoche,

At that point of time, I simply don’t even know how to react and my mother condition instantly change the way how I believe on living our life. I still remember I personally witness how my mom go through the pain and the countless of tears that we shared during that difficulty time.

Even till today all her advices still sound vividly heard in mind. My mom always constantly reminded me to be kind and serve with compassion. Always reminded me to be vegetarian on my birthday (I was born the same date as birth of Kuan Yin)

Before she passed away few months back she even told me I managed to save a pregnant lady from collapsing. That’s how far she could go as remarkable human being.

It is my pleasure and honor to share my mom cancer story to you and all dharma brothers and sisters here.

Let me know how I could reach out with this story.

    Dorje Shugden’s Dice Divination

Divination is one of the ways enlightened beings and Buddhas communicate with ordinary beings. While some highly realised masters such as H.H. Kyabje Pabongka Rinpoche and the Mahasiddha Tagpu Pemavajra can perceive the Buddhas directly and receive instructions, teachings and advice from them, most ordinary people cannot. And so divinations is one of the methods by which we can receive the Buddhas’ advice too.

A lot of evidence based on psychology states that most animal cruelty cases is all about power or control. The abuser feels powerless and develops a warped sense of self-respect. Eventually they feel strong only by being able to dominate a person or animal.

According to Robert K. Ressler, a profiler of serial killers for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) said “Murderers… very often start out by killing and torturing animals as kids”, a connection that was recognized by the FBI since the 1970’s. In Psychology studies, according to a 1997 study done by the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) and Northeastern University, animal abusers are five times more likely to commit violent crimes against people and four times more likely to commit property crimes than are individuals without a history of animal abuse. Many studies in psychology, sociology, and criminology during the past 25 years have demonstrated that violent offenders often have history of animal abuse since childhood.

Take for example, society’s most notorious serial killer, Jeffery Dahmer who murdered 17 men and boys. He was known to have dismembered animals since a young age

In 1984, Alvaro Munera became permanently disabled and confined to a wheel chair for life… he was only 18 years old when that happened. Munera had been a bullfighter since the age of 12, and a successful one. Despite being the most celebrated bullfighter at that time, he often doubted his career choice. He felt that it was brutal, but ignored how he felt whenever he had to kill a bull. He stayed at the peak of his career until his 22nd match… the bull tore his left leg and tossed him into the air. When he landed his spinal cord and cranial was severely injured. This left him paralyzed from the waist down for life.

A few months after this incident, Munera went to America for physical rehabilitation. Being brought up thinking that bullfights are normal and “part of life”, Munera was then exposed to a whole new environment… an environment that actively fights against animal cruelty.

Instead of blaming the bull for paralyzing him for life, Munera became anti-taurino.

I find Munera’s story very inspiring. Instead of blaming others, Munera bit the bullet, realized and accepted his own wrongful action. Now, he has decided to devote his life to fight for animals rights till the day he dies.

Some things you just have to see no matter how you feel. It lets you know what happens behind the scenes. Things manufacturers do not want you to see, but you are stronger than that for you must see.

It was extremely disturbed and upset to see such cruelty inflicted on such harmless beings. About 95% of the hundreds of thousands of seals slaughtered are below 3 months old!! While many other countries such as America and the European Union has banned the use of seal fur, Canada has yet to implement the same ban… The rate of baby seals being killed increases every year.

In 2011, 38,000 harp seals were killed… In 2012, 70,000 harp seals were killed in commercial seal hunting. That’s twice the amount from the previous year!

In Georgia, there is a wild animal rescue center called Noah’s Ark. The sanctuary was created to provide a home for abused, unwanted, and orphaned children and animals. How beautiful…

Noah’s Ark has been on global news lately, as 3 of their rescued wild animals have become best friends. It doesn’t seem very interesting at first, until you watch the video and realize that the 3 bestfriends are an American black bear, a lion and a Bengal tiger! They all play, eat and cuddle together in the same pen!

The 3 different animals were rescued 12 years ago, when they were just little cubs. They were abused and neglected by drug dealers. When they were rescued by Noah’s Ark, each had gone through very bad physical experiences… The bear had grown into his harness, and it was so deeply embedded into his skin that it had to be surgically removed!

Leo (the lion) Baloo (the bear) and Shere Kahn (the tiger), have become to close that when the trainers try to separate them, they would all act out. They are only happy when they are together hehe

This is an amazing story of a pig that kneeled in front of a temple as if it is paying homage. The pig did not kneeled for a few minutes but it kneeled for hours until the monk chanted a Buddhits scripture to it. Unfortunately, the pig was slaughtered after that.

The pig must have been a Dharma practitioner in its previous lives, and the Dharma imprint was very strong in it. Otherwise, how to explain when it kneeled in front of the temple for hours? It must know that it will die soon, the Buddhist chanting would help it to calm down before its death and helped it to go to a better place.

Now that we are in the human form, we should practice the Dharma, purify our karma so we don’t go to a bad place. When we take rebirth as an animal, we will not be able to purify our karma and it will take us a very long time before we take rebirth in human form again.

There are many natural things we can consume to keep us healthy or prevent serious sickness such as cancer. It is always better to prevent than to cure.

We should reduce the consumption of processed food and whenever possible, consume unprocessed food. People start to realise how much pesticide and chemicals are used to produce vegetables, now many have started to grow their own food.

However, when we are sick, we still have to go to see a doctor and seek for medical attention. With a positive mind and healthy life style, we will be able to maintain healthy body.

    Wonderful Laos

Many visitors are attracted to its laid-back lifestyle, enchanting temples, mysterious plains, ethnic mountain villages and beautiful sunsets, especially by the scenery surrounding the Mekong, which explains why the word Lao means “please don’t rush”. If you’re looking for a place that has spirituality, somewhere that is a little different, a country that’s somewhat off the beaten track, Laos is a country that many will not regret visiting.

Planning to travel? Why not consider Laos: http://bit.ly/2VVgQ5L

Unlike most children his age, Luiz Antonio wants to eat his vegetables. It’s the other stuff that apparently gives him second thoughts.

As evidence, YouTube user Flavia Cavalcanti has an adorable video, originally uploaded in Portuguese, of little Luiz struggling to comprehend the origins of his meal. Potato? Easy enough. Rice? Sure. Octopus gnocchi? Fat chance.

In a recently uploaded version with English subtitles, Luiz dances around the subject a bit, asking simple questions trying to grasp how, exactly, the “legs” of an octopus ended up on his plate; more importantly, he wonders, what happened to the rest of the octopus?

“Is his head still in the sea?” Luiz asks his mom, who responds, “It’s at the fish market.”

“The man chopped it?” Luiz asks. His mom then informs him that all animals we eat, even chickens, are chopped up, prompting the sharp realization, “No! Those are animals!”

“So… when we eat animals they die!” a wide-eyed Luiz acknowledges. “Why do they die? I don’t like that they die. I like that they stay standing up… These animals — you gotta take care of them… and not eat them!”

After that epiphany, Luiz realizes his mom has been touched by his compassion.

“Why are you crying?” he asks.

“I’m not crying,” his mother responds. “I’m just touched by you.”

“I’m doing something beautiful?” Luiz wonders aloud, prompting his mom to direct him back to the plate, “Eat! No need to eat the octopus, all right?”

Wow … the first title published by Kechara Comics in Nepali. That is wonderful now with this Nepali version comic more and more Nepalis people will get to read , understand about Dorje Shugden. Looking at those comic pictures tells us a thousand words even those who could not read it. It’s a good way sharing , as in Malaysia alone there are thousands of Nepalis foreign workers working here.
    Thank you for this sharing.

Thank you for sharing this amazing and interesting video about oracles. A rare opportunity where we are given the chance to view those videos. Oracles acts as a medium through whom advice or prophecy was sought. In Tibet tradition oracles have played, and continue to play, an important part in religion, doctrine, and prophecy. Tibetans rely on oracles for various reasons such as healing of their diseases and on all important occasions. In Tibet, they have the Nechung Oracle and other oracles. The purpose of the oracles is not just to forecast the future but do assist in decision-making and providing intelligence on state matters. I have seen mediums taking trance and it is much different from Tibetans oracles from what I saw from these videos. Hopefully the Tibetan tradition oracles could be preserved , where more will benefit. One such famous oracle is the Panglung oracle where the Dharma Protector Dorje Shugden took trance . In fact had helped HH Dalai Lama escaped from the Chinese invasion in Tibet to India back 1959. As advice by the oracle Chushi Gangdruk guerrilla group was formed and had escorted Dalai Lama safely into exile.

The Unknown

The Known and unknown are both feared,
Known is being comfortable and stagnant,
The unknown may be growth and opportunities,
One shall never know if one fears the unknown more than the known.
Who says the unknown would be worse than the known?
But then again, the unknown is sometimes worse than the known. In the end nothing is known unless we endeavour,
So go pursue all the way with the unknown,
because all unknown with familiarity becomes the known.

What the meat industry figured out is that you don't need healthy animals to make a profit.
Sick animals are more profitable... farms calculate how close to death they can keep animals without killing them. That's the business model. How quickly they can be made to grow, how tightly they can be packed, how much or how little can they eat, how sick they can get without dying... We live in a world in which it's conventional to treat an animal like a block of wood. ~ Jonathan Safran Foer
