Considering herself born to extremely understanding parents, Jean Ai confesses to being accident-prone as a young child, worrying her family by getting into all sorts of scrapes with scars to prove it. When she was not falling over, her nose would be buried in books, soaking up all of the life lessons that Enid Blyton and Roald Dahl could possibly provide.
A non-conformist by nature, her early ambitions included police officer, human rights lawyer, politician and Greenpeace volunteer. A trip to the oceanarium developed her teenage obsession of becoming a marine biologist. Her spare time thereafter was dedicated to studying the anatomy of cetaceans and the like. Her dream, however, was swiftly put to rest once she realised that proficiency in Chemistry was a requirement of the job, and her distinct disinterest in the subject proved to be an insurmountable stumbling block.
Upon her guru H.E. Tsem Rinpoche's advice, Jean Ai pursued a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from the University of Warwick. Having grown up under the Dharma umbrella however, Buddhism was never far from her life. Her predominant teenage memory is being taken to the Dharma centre to attend hours of pujas and talks that she could not comprehend. Undeterred by the strange happenings around her, she thought, “Well, if you can’t understand ‘em, join ‘em and learn more. Then, maybe one day you will understand.”
And "join em" she did. After a year working in London, Jean Ai returned to Malaysia to join Kechara on a full time basis. She now serves H.E Tsem Rinpoche directly as a member of Tsem Ladrang, and as an editor with the writers' team.

It is no secret that we humans are slowly killing the planet. We consume too much, recycle too little, create too much waste, and produce way too many carbon emissions. Science and common sense both tell us that unless something drastic is done, we may soon reach a point of no return. But is it...

Interviewing H.E. Kensur Rinpoche Jetsun Lobsang Phende of Shar Gaden Monastery about H.E. the 25th Tsem Rinpoche Kechara was extremely honoured and privileged to host the visit of His Eminence Kensur Rinpoche Jetsun Lobsang Phende, accompanied by his devoted attendant Gen Wangyal. Kensur Rinpoche, now an abbot emeritus, was the first abbot...
Those who have the merits to be in Rinpoche’s sphere will very quickly realise that one of Rinpoche’s most prominent qualities is that of generosity. It is a quality that has always inspired me because not only is the scope of Rinpoche’s generosity vast and far-reaching, but it also comes after a lifetime of difficulties. From the moment...
(By Tsem Rinpoche and Pastor Jean Ai) As Buddhists, we are taught that making offerings generates tremendous merits to be dedicated towards our spiritual progress. (By Tsem Rinpoche and Pastor Jean Ai) Few practitioners have reached the heights of fame as Dulzin Drakpa Gyaltsen, whose name is known to Gelug practitioners everywhere as the builder of Gaden Monastery. (By Tsem Rinpoche and Pastor Jean Ai) One of my earliest experiences with death was with Rinpoche, during the passing of my beloved maternal grandmother. If I examine my life honestly, I can safely say that all of the good things that have happened to me have been the result of my teacher, as well as any good qualities that may have scratched their way just a little bit through the mud. I first met Rinpoche in 1997, when...
This video was on my Facebook newsfeed and suffice to say, it disturbed me. It disturbed me because it was basically senseless pain being inflicted on another being. Not to say inflicting pain on anyone is excusable or justifiable under any circumstances, but in this case it was totally and entirely without utility. What...
(By Tsem Rinpoche and Pastor Jean Ai) The most obvious benefit of being in close proximity with Rinpoche is the Dharma that we receive. The Lama teaches using all methods possible – by example, by action, by joking, by instruction and, in the way one would most expect, by literally giving a teaching. Students...
Sometimes all it takes for the discovery of a lifetime, is to take a single step in the right direction and in 2011, that is exactly what happened. That was the year some of H.E. It was through the 6th Panglung Oracle the Dalai Lama had a safe and successful escape from Tibet to India. That’s in 1959, following Dorje Shugden advice and instructions which route to escape. This story in comics form is a great way to let more people know the truth. Senior officials from Monastery eyewitness affidavits signed, they were the monks who travelled together with the Dalai Lama. All these cannot be wrong .A truth and only truth to be shared with.
Thank you Rinpoche for this sharing.
Believing that the paranormal can be real, is one way to escape the reality we live in and make it a little more interesting. People sometimes want to believe something more is out there than only a platonic routine life. Not everyone believes in ghosts, but there have been plenty of celebrity ghost sightings over the years. Most scientists deny that ghosts exist, but I do believe ghost rather spirits do exist . Ghosts are ingrained in many cultures, with people rising from the dead or being able to communicate from the beyond. The human fascination for the unexplained plays a big role in this world.
Thank you Rinpoche for sharing such an interesting videos. Sound scary. Doing prayers and dedicated to them will be fine as long as we don’t’ get involved with them.
Opening Eye Chenrezigis a Buddhist practice and form of Chenrezig focused on healing physical eye problems and developing wisdom eyes. The practice involves prayers and mantras to develop compassion and it was transmitted by Lama Gangchen Rinpoche . This practice is designed to train one’s mind in making life beneficial for all sentient beings through the yoga of the Compassionate Buddha. Well this practice has been effective for those who sincerely had engaged in reciting the mantra consistently.
Thank you Rinpoche for sharing methods to heal the defects, problems, and disturbances to our eyes.
Helmut Gassner, is a senior Buddhist monk from Austria also known as Venerable Gelong Jampa. After meeting Venerable Geshe Rabten Rinpoche back then ,his began to have an interest in Buddhism . Venerable Geshe Rabten Rinpoche had impressed him deeply so much so he began studying Tibetan language, Buddhist philosophy, debate and meditation. Throughout his lifetime, he has translated for many high lamas. He translated for HH the 14th Dalai Lama between 1979 and 1995. Helmut Gassner has recognized and value the knowledge of Dorje Shugden . He noticed the positive qualities, acknowledging Dorje Shugden’s significance, and developing a comprehensive, insightful of it. He even received many first-hand accounts of how Dorje Shugden has been extremely useful to the Dalai Lama. Following the Dalai Lama’s move to ban the practice of Dorje Shugden where discrimination and fights happened. The event didn’t bothered him much as he knew the truth that the practice of Dorje Shugden is an integral part of the Gaden Tradition. In 1999 at the Friedrich-Naumann-Foundation in Hamburg, Germany, he bravely spoke the truth regarding Dorje Shugden. His devotion to his teacher, the dharma and the truth compelled him to speak up . Interesting read.
Thank you Rinpoche for this great sharing .
First of all, I’d like to thank the website immensely for making this rich material about the Buddha’s life story available. Having downloaded the images, I translated their captions into Portuguese. I’m offering this translated material to the website. If you’re interested in receiving it and perhaps publishing it, please let me know how I should proceed.
I frequently receive inquiries from friends regarding how to effectively organize a party at home. It’s common for people to overlook minor details that can significantly affect the planning process and the overall success of their gathering. I would like to provide you with an article on this subject for your website at no cost.
Kindly let me know if you believe this article would be suitable for your platform. Thank you in advance for considering my offer to contribute guest content.
Sincerely,
J Dunbar

Any work done with the teachings of the Buddha alive in our hearts is Dharma work. Some of us share the precious and uniquely challenging opportunity of working or volunteering for a Dharma organization . We must practice with the bodhisattva attitude every day as long as we all try to remember the workings of ego, karma and impermanence .The ultimate goal of Dharma practice is to benefit all sentient beings and lead them to happiness. This aspiration can transform any activity into Dharma work. Copying scriptures, making offerings, giving to the poor, listening to teachings, meditating, and reflecting on the teachings are all considered Dharma activities. Our attitude and intention are crucial for whether our work becomes Dharma work. Even a secular job can become spiritual if we approach it with purpose, and a commitment to benefit others. That’s Dharma work when the work benefits sentient beings and the teachings of Buddha; it depends on the motivation one has and how one does the work. Profound teachings.
Thank you Rinpoche .
Chariots of the Gods is a book written back in 1968 by Erich von Däniken. Erich von Däniken is a Swiss author of several pseudoscientific books which make claims about extra-terrestrial influences on early human culture. Interesting the book is all about those many unsolved mysteries of the past, which was an immediate bestseller in the United States, Germany, and many more countries. His books have been translated into 28 languages, and have sold 60 million copies worldwide. Through his archaeological findings has suggested that in ancient times the earth was visited by extra-terrestrials. Interesting read.
Thank you Rinpoche great sharing.
Its great idea having created small Buddha statues for protection in cars. Nowadays there ‘s many car accidents on road, having it and merely looking at it is a blessing for driver and passengers. They will feel safe .
Thank you Rinpoche creating and spreading Dharma.
Revisit this post….A touching song by a Mongolian boy who lost his mother to a fatal illness, and also lost his father shortly thereafter to a car accident . It was in China’s Got Talent contest 2011 , this 12yr-old Mongolian boy performed a touching song sending his thought to his mother at heaven. It had touched the hearts of the judges and audiences. Even though it was a Mongolian folk song which I could not understand but hearing it truly touching.
Thank you Rinpoche for this sharing.
Wow what a brilliant way to spread Dharma through having comics pictures. Comics as visual storytelling is a unique art form that combines words and images.Through reading and seeing through those comics books everyone could understand. Its suitable for adults and kids and even the old. These comics depicts the power of Dorje Shugden. A picture is worth a thousand words, but a comic is worth a million. The pictures and words interact in the reader’s mind, resulting in the story. For Kechara coming up with this comic Karuna Finds A Way book, more and more people understand better of Dharma and more so of Dorje Shugden.
Thank you Rinpoche and writers team.
Vietnam is home to a variety of strange, real-life creatures such as Asian Unicorn , snub-nosed monkey , smallest sun bear species in the world, and so on. Vietnam’s animals are a vital part of the country’s biodiversity, comprising unique and endangered species that deserve protection and appreciation. Those animals that exist are one of the most underrated appeals of the country. Back in 1947 ancient tribes-people living in the mysterious forest creatures appeared regularly sighted by farmers. Its was only in 1982 a Professor discovery of a footprint of Nguoi Rung creature an undiscovered species of hominid like the Yeti or Bigfoot. That’s awesome, so Yeti do exist .
Thank you Rinpoche …interesting
Reading this old post tells us more who Kechara Buddhist Pastor Yek Yee is for sure. A hard working lady whom everyone could see for themselves . A disciplined, resilient lady who possesses incredible stamina taking on new challenges when given tasks. Devoted to task, working tireless in effort . She has great and vast knowledge in Buddhism and also very good with Tibetan Buddhist rituals. She indeed has inspired many through the years at Kechara.
Thank you Rinpoche for sharing this inspiring post and reading what others have said about Pastor Yak Yee.

It is the perfect practice for everyone who wants simplicity yet effective blessings. You can share this with more people, it will be good.
