It's very nice to see volunteers helping maintain holy sites in Kechara Forest Retreat, it's very good for them. Cleaning Buddha statues is a very powerful and effective way of purifying body karma.

Kechara Forest Retreat is preparing for the upcoming Chinese New Year celebrations. This is our holy Vajra Yogini stupa which is now surrounded by beautiful lanterns organised by our students.

I have been trying to subdue this self-cherishing mind by doing Lama Tsongkhapa / Dorje Shudgen's daily Saddhna, prostrations and Vajrasattva practice. However I can still feel the self-cherishing mind is deeply entrenched and stubborn. Can I please get some advise if I am on the right track and if there are any other means to subdue this mind? Another question, inspired by the Bodhisattva Kisitigarbha, is there a daily practice that a lay person can perform to elevate the suffering of beings in the lower realms? 尚未回复

There are a lot of healing practices that might be relevant - Medicine Buddha, Black Manjushri, Dorje Shugdan, White Tara, etc. as well as tonglen and also other practices that are thought of more as purification practices such as Vajrasattva. How important is it to do the "correct" practice for a specific type of problem? Is it better to do multiple such practices or to focus one's efforts more narrowly? What other considerations enter into formulating one's practice to address specific problems as in this case? Further, how important might it be have pujas done for oneself in case of difficult, persistent, and longstanding problems? Thanks for any insights or suggestions you can share and thank you for the work that you do to benefit beings around the world. 尚未回复
