Question asked by TYP
Dear Pastors,
How many masters have achieved full enlightenment after Shakyamuni Buddha? Is it after they achieve full enlightenment they are the same level as Shakyamuni buddha? That means they are higher level than Manjushiri, Guanyin, and other Bodhisattava? How about Zen, is it if you achieve enlightenment through Zen method, you are also the same level as Shakyamuni buddha already? Do you know about "hui neng" which is the sixth generation of the Zen master? I heard a chinese master said that "hui neng" is already a "substitute" buddha after his enlightenment?
Dear TYP,
The are many holy master from different Buddhist school achieved same stage of full enlightenment just like Shakyamuni Buddha. There are also have lay practitioner and mahasiddha in this world become enlightenment just like Buddha Shakyamuni follow his teaching.
Enlightenment is the stage of the mind which they have achieved Bodhicita and emptiness both quality in their subtle mind.
In Tibet, they said Lama Tsongkhapa same like a second Buddha Shakyamuni. I think it would be same way refer “Hui Neng” substitute after his enlightenment.
