Question asked by Jake
Dear Pastors,
Sometimes when I practice Gaden Lhagyama I notice that my breath stops for extended periods of time. Sometimes it even surprises me and I realize that I am not breathing! I also sometimes feel a "pressure" type of feeling in the center of my chest. It is not unpleasant or painful, but it does not feel pleasant either. Today I felt it when the visualized Je Tsongkhapa descends from the crown to the heart. I am wondering if these things are related to winds and channels? If so is this a good sign or a bad sign?
Thank you for your help and your wisdom!
Love, Jake

Dear Jake,
When the Gaden Lhagyama is practiced in conjunction with higher practices, there is definitely physical signs that can manifest. That being said, when we engage in any practice firmly then the winds will move in the channels automatically.
For now I suggest that when this occurs, just take deep breaths and concentrate on the cloud(string) connection between you and Maitreya Buddha more than Lama Tsongkhapa in the heart area. This should help in alleviating the pressure. If it keeps concurring however, please message back. I hope this helps.
