Question asked by May Ong
Dear Rinpoche, I would like to know more about "renunciation".
I remembered you said we don't have to give up our all our business, our responsibility towards our family or our possession but devote more time towards developing spiritualism. So what really does "renunciate" mean in our lifetime in this day and age, please?
Thank you.
Dear May,
Renounciation is the state of mind that you realize all items you own, use and have do not belong to you. They will be taken away, fade or be dispersed at the time of death. So use the items and not feel they really belong to you so you do not generate the thought they are permanent. TR
