What Lama Zopa Teaches About the Dorje Shugden Ban

Tibetan Buddhism has spread far and wide since 1959, when preeminent masters together with His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama left Tibet and entered exile in India. From India and other countries, these masters were able to propagate the Buddhadharma to the benefit of countless millions all over the world. An organisation which played...

Tibetan Resistance group Chushi Gangdruk reveals how Dalai Lama escaped in 1959

In the early 1950s, the Dharma Protector Dorje Shugden took trance of the famous Panglung Oracle and advised a group of Tibetans to form a guerrilla fighting group. Later, in 1959, they famously escorted His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama on his historic escape to India. After ensuring that His Holiness was safely in...

Empress Xiaozhuang Wen: Kangxi’s Mongolian Grandmother

I’ve always been curious about how famous individuals, good or nasty or neither, are “made”. Hence when I encountered the biographies of Emperor Kangxi’s grandmother, Empress Xiaozhuang Wen, also honored as “Mother of the Qing Dynasty” by later generations, I thought to share it with readers of H.E. the 25th Tsem Rinpoche’s blog. Empress...

Tsem Rinpoche’s Torghut Ancestry | 詹杜固仁波切的土尔扈特血统

(译文请往下阅读) Who are the Kalmyks? Prior to the 15th Century and a long time ago, there were many west Mongolian tribes who referred to themselves by their respective tribal names. Spread throughout this region are countless archeological sites with petroglyphs, cave paintings, standing stone monuments and ancient forts that date back as far as 10,000 years. By the 15th Century, four major West Mongolian tribes had formed an alliance, adopting “Dörben Oirat” as their collective name. However, this alliance subsequently dissolved and the...

Thank you, Rinpoche and the blog team for sharing with us this amazing town in Nepal. It is such a beautiful town with its ancient culture and its spiritual atmosphere. Places like this are beautiful because it is away from the city where materialism is at its peak. This town is also full of shops for spiritual shopping

Places like these are very conducive for spiritual practice and on top of that, the scenery is stunning. It’s location made it a good place for mountaineers to take a break from their quest to conquer Mount Everest and get used to the climate. This will be a good place to go to have a spiritual holiday!

Happiness is a state of mind, not how much we material possession we have accumulated. As we are chasing after a relationship, material possession, we tend to forget to take care of our mind. This is when people suffer from depression.

We have to understand nothing is permanent, material possession cannot give us long-lasting happiness. Most of our problems are created by our mind. If we can control our mind, we can control how we feel and not suffer.

Geshe Ngawang Dhargyey was the pioneering teacher of Buddhism for westerners at the Library of Tibetan Works and Archives, Dharamsala, India. Both secular and spiritual ancient texts of Tibet were preserved in the library by the Tibetan leardership.
He moved to New Zealand, establishing Dhargyey Buddhist Centre in Dunedin, and continued spreading Dharma teachings till his passing. Truly a great Lama and most highly qualified Gelug lamas of his time. He shared Buddhist philosophy, encourage harmony and unity through his teachings. Respected by many western and inspired many as well. He was an inspiring example of compassion to many westerners. Profound teachings and quite a bit to read and understand. Will read and reread again.
Thank you Rinpoche for this sharing of a GREAT Lama and the teachings of the importance of meditating on death.

Very special and rare thangka from Geshe Tsultrim Gyeltsen , merely by looking at tells all…..a blessing. Dorje Shugden is in a peaceful form which truly love it . I do have this beautiful Dorje Shugden thangka in this same peaceful form given by my Guru , Tsem Rinpoche. I could understand much better with Rinpoche details explanation of the thangka. Rinpoche relationship with Geshe Trultrim Gyeltsen and Kyeje Zong Rinpoche is an unbreakable, strong as an iron steel. And Rinpoche truly treasure those times spent together as told. Rinpoche had a faith and strong guru devotion with them. Very good example and inspiring for us to learn and practice .
Thank you Rinpoche for sharing with us the importance of Guru devotion.

Depression is a feeling of something that is too hard to forget. The imagination of past, enjoyment moment, time and money that has gone in sudden. This slowly take over a person appetite, being very lonely, unhealthy and ill.

To resolve depression, one has to spend time to talk and to divert the mind and their imagination. Consult and get friends to look for ways to help them. To look for interesting topic to talk and to spend time to take them for outing by changing the environment and meeting people. Depression is an action that need to be change. To accept tragedy and to control the feeling aside. The mind has too be very strong. The best and the only way that gives a good results is to talk to them about spiritual, teach them to meditate and pray.

Thank for the sharing, I too have helped people who have gone through their difficult time by listening to their problems and paying them a visit with friends.

Animals are like human beings. They will feel scared and they need protections. They are more vulnerable than human. Since we are stronger than them, we should protect them, but not inflict pain on them.

Thank you, Rinpoche and the blog team for sharing with us this amazing news and inspiring occasion where Kechara has the chance to make offerings to sangha from Sri Lanka. These monks are pure monks and it is very meritorious when we can make such offerings to them.

From this incident, I am able to see the true spirit of religion where the monks kindly accepted our offerings even though we are from a different sect of Buddhism and they even requested to bless the land on their own initiative. They have a good intention and wanted the Dharma to grow in Kechara sincerely.

This is how it should be when it comes to religion. People should not discriminate based on the differences in their belief system.

Rinpoche have always advice us that we should go to places full of spiritual power such to Bodh Gaya, Lumbini , Wu Tai San and so forth. Have an auspicious and meritorious trip instead of going for holidays to see places of interest. Rejoice to Pastor David for bringing your dad and your friend Paul with his mother for this wonderful meaningful pilgrimage to Nepal and India visiting powerful places of the tantric deity Vajrayogini and so on. And visiting Serpom monastery as suggested by Rinpoche to make offerings to the monks. Looking at those beautiful pictures paints a thousands words.
I wish I could go on a pilgrimage to such Holy and scared place of Nepal and India some day.
Thank you Pastor David for sharing your memorable account of your pilgrimage with your dad, Paul and his mother.

Very informative post of this Gyenze fire Puja or sometime known as the Fire Puja of the Wealth. In Buddhism, ceremonies are meant to provide a blessing. Gyenze fire Puja is no exception, is a very effective and powerful puja within the Tibetan Buddhism. And is considered the king of all pujas. Well its basically to remove all obstacles ,purifying negative karma, increase merits, dispel negative energies and pacifies unseen beings, that obstruct us from doing our Dharma practice. Wow……these are the 13 ingredients been offered during this fire Puja. I am fortunate to have witnessed one at Kechara Forest Retreat before and looking forward to the next Fire Puja this coming Saturday.
Thanks Rinpoche for having those monks to perform this meritorious puja . And thank you all sponsors and those hardworking team making it possible.

Venerable Geshe Rabten Rinpoche known as Milarepa

As is clearly seen in Helmut Gassner’s account, two of the most influential and trailblazing Tibetan lamas who taught in the West both practised Dorje Shugden and held him in high regard. His Holiness Kyabje Zong Rinpoche, was not only once the Abbot of Gaden Shartse Monastery but was a well-known meditator, debator, tantric adept and teacher of thousands of monks and laypeople all over the world.

Growing up with Rinpoche: You’ve got mail

Rinpoche, if people take the time to write and express their thoughts and feelings, that is something that should be appreciated and respected. And if people confide in Rinpoche, that information is always treated as sacred because it is not always easy for people to trust someone else enough to open up to them.

China is one of the most powerful countries in the world nowadays and many countries had chosen to be in China’s good books. It is only a matter of time where all the Tibetan government’s supporter will stop supporting them and be on China’s side.

Let’s face it. The struggle for Tibet’s independence has been on-going for 60 years but there is no progress at all. Now, even His Holiness the Dalai Lama is telling the Tibetans to go for Umaylam instead of Rangzen. However, Umaylam requires their cooperation with the Chinese government.

It is good for Tibetans or Tibetan government to befriend China because they will need their mercy to get back to Tibet because China has all the reasons for not letting the Tibetans go back to Tibet. They certainly do not need Tibetans.
