Question asked by Will
Dear Pastors, I wonder if you could comment on a practitioners 'authenticity' both in general dharma practice and specifically as a requirement in the practice of the generation stage of highest yoga tantras. I am not asking about the authenticity of oral teachings or scriptures but ones own authenticity perhaps from an ontological perspective, who I hold myself to be for myself and others. Thank you in advance for any reply.
Dear Will,
Please can you elaborate further as to your definition of ‘authenticity’ on the side of a practitioner? I understand that you do not mean the authenticity of the teachings but of the practitioner. But I would like to understand what exactly you are referring to. Teachings can be authentic or not, but are you asking if practitioners can be authentic in terms of practice or in terms of understanding the self? If I know in which regards you are asking then I can help to answer better. Thank you.
