Question asked by Wondering
Dearest Rinpoche, thank you for posting updates about your health condition…and thank you for answering my question about ways to clarify a feeling about taking on a monastic life. I will be ordering the book you noted in your response. I feel a sense of relief and deep gratitude that I am able to receive guidance from you about this. It all feels risky, leaving the life I have known, but at the same time, something about it continues to pull me in…knowing there is a way to be of benefit beyond simply for my own self-preservation. Thank you again for your response. It helps me to validate this feeling, that I'm not going crazy or something!? Rinpoche, can you share a bit about the "benefits" of ordination as it relates to one's karma? How does taking on monk/nun vows relate to "purification" of one's karma in this and previous lifetimes? Or maybe that is a misconception on my part. My apologies if the question is unclear. Palms together for offering Dharma and support in all directions and in timely, skillful ways Rinpoche, Wondering
