Located on the first floor in Sunway Giza Mall, D’Italiane Kitchen serves excellent Italian fine-dining cuisine at an affordable price. D’Italiane Kitchen’s modern approach to Italian cuisine makes them extremely unique by merging traditional Italian cuisine with local culinary preference. Along with their creative preparation and cozy atmosphere, this local Italian restaurant stands out.
Interior – 4/5
The wooden slatted covered floor, wooden square tables and plush lined wooden chair gives D’Italiane Kitchen a very earthy tone. The subdued lighting (despite the tall windows) creates a cozy ambiance. There are four main areas within the restaurant: the 1st dining section, 2nd dining section, wine cellar, and the balcony dining area.
The balcony dining area is located at the back of the restaurant where patrons can enjoy their meal outdoors. The 2nd dining section is located next to the kitchen, it is an ideal location for those who prefer more privacy while dining with their friends and family. In total, the restaurant fits in a total of approximately 150 pax. The restaurant manager advised that reservations for more than 30 pax should be made 3 days in advance. As a whole, the restaurant have a very simple but elegant look. Although 150 pax can seem quite dense for such a small space, the tables and chairs are arranged strategically and neatly giving patrons ample space to move around.

Food – 4/5
The food served at D’Italiane Kitchen is certainly superb! From their soup to their main course and desserts, they all have that added special touch. The Al Fungi pizza has great toppings, they use 3 types of mushrooms (button mushroom, shitake and abalone mushroom) all finely chopped and evenly scattered on the pizza. The Mozzarella cheese used is not too salty and yet tastes very good.
The Spinach Raviole is also one of the favorites on the menu; stuffed with spinach, drizzled with cheesy spinach sauce and topped with pine nuts, it certainly makes this pasta one of the best main course on the menu.
D’Italiane Kitchen also serves one of the most unique and delicious salads (which can be surprisingly hard to come by!). Their Warm Portabello salad is worth a try! Their vinegar dressing is mixed with herbs, shallots and olive oil. Something to note, the Portobello mushroom is originally served with meat stuffing but do inform the waiter that you’re vegetarian and they will prepare a vegetarian option for you.
The desserts in D’Italiane Kitchen is excellent. Their sticky toffee pudding stuffed with chunky walnuts is served with vanilla ice cream, both of which are homemade. Another homemade delight is their Bailey’s and Shiraz ice cream. This unique ice cream is only available at D’Italiane Kitchen.

Pricing – 3.5/5
Surprisingly, for an Italian fine dining restaurant, D’Italiane Kitchen’s pricing is reasonable. For example, the 9″ Al Fungi pizza is priced at RM 26.90 and the Cranberry Orange granita (drink) is RM 10.90. Very affordable to dine in a nice place like this, with excellent food.
Vegetarian Selection – 3.5/5
There is a reasonably wide selection of vegetarian food in D’Italiane Kitchen. You can even order certain vegetarian dishes off the menu. To note: the manager said that they will be revising their menu to be more vegetarian-friendly. So, to anyone who visits their restaurant after the new selections are in, do leave a comment below!
Service – 4/5
There were not many diners after 2 pm, so the food was served relatively fast. The waiters are quick to take your orders and to also serve a glass of water upon your arrival. They are attentive and accommodating, especially if you request for a certain dishes to be served meatless. Overall, it was an extremely satisfying visit to this restaurant.
