Coral Castle

The photo above is of a man who created a stone structure that still puzzles architects, engineers and scientists today! Named Coral Castle, it was built by Edward Leedskalnin – a 5ft, 100lb immigrant from Latvia..who moved to Florida, USA in the 1920s.

Edward dropped out of school in the 4th grade and was not seen to be a very intelligent person…some people even thought that he was crazy! When he arrived in Florida, he would walk around poking at the soil, saying that he wanted good land but when farmers gave him real prime farming land, he would reject it.

You can see in the videos below that he knew what he was looking for – he knew what type of land he wanted and what type of material he was going to use to build his castle. He used blocks of limestone that were formed from coral. What is really amazing, and still puzzling to people today, is how precisely he could cut these stones…and how he could lift them up when they weighed several tonnes!!

Whenever people asked him, he’d just smile and say that he knew the ‘secret’. This secret is the same one that was apparently known to those who built the Egyptian pyramids and Stonehenge in England. To move these incredibly heavy objects, they would manipulate the magnetic properties of the objects…so that they would REPEL the Earth’s magnetic field and thereby lift off the ground.

There are 2 sets of videos below, both are the same but they come from different angles of documentary. I thought that I’d share them both with you..It is very, very interesting and it will make you think outside the box a little hehe

Dear Rinpoche, we would be able to learn more about how did Edward Leedskalnin move these heavy corals if he wasn’t so selfish (I don’t think I’m using the correct word) right? And I don’t understand how did he even manage to make something that we can’t even calculate it with physics.

  2. Edward ooi on Jul 26, 2013 at 2:37 pm

Dear Rinpoche, It’s would be surprising to know how did Edward Leedskalnin build the Coral Castle alone. But maybe didn’t have the time to explain how he moved the coral that weights up to 30,000 pounds with his bare hands. I wonder how did Edward Leedskalnin found the mysteries of the ancient pyramid with the knowledge of the 4th grade.

  3. lewkwanleng on Dec 24, 2012 at 5:57 am

This is indeed very interesting, and it really puzzles me and I can’t help to think, what are the “unknown” things out there which we don’t know?

I am sure there are a lot of things which science can’t explain, and therefore, science does not cover everything. As such, we can’t really use the phrase “It can’t be proved by science so I won’t believe it”, because there are indeed many things can’t be explained by science.

I felt it is time to let our mind explore these unexplained phenomena and start questioning them, instead of just denying it all together.

  4. Sheryl KH (JB) on Jul 24, 2012 at 5:52 pm

I feel that Edward is like Einstein, someone who is so much more talented than many of us but yet act and look strange to many out there.

It is a real pity that he chose not to disclose the secrets, otherwise his knowledge can benefit so many works with a lot less time, energy and resources spent on the unnecessary.

  5. David Lai on Jun 15, 2012 at 6:42 pm

I love these videos. It’s amazing what could be done with such ‘paranormal’ knowledge. If we only knew how Edward Leedskalnin built his castle, then construction of KWPC and KFR would take a lot less time, less money and less headaches.

Well, I think such unsolved mysteries does challenge our minds to accept that there are things outside of our ordinary understanding of the world. Enter the world of the paranormal and the world of Buddhas, yidams, Dharma Protectors, Dakas and Dakinis. If such things exists, then the ‘paranormal’ aspect of Buddhism must exist as well!

  6. henry ooi on Jun 15, 2012 at 4:38 pm

Guess science has unraveled the mysteries of how pyramids, Stonehenge and other ancients monuments may have been built. I guess the ancients knew better than scientists of today. And yet we call them the older civilization. Look who’s talking!

Thank you Rinpoche and Mr. Kessler for sharing this very inspiring event that made Mr. Kessler rethink and reevaluate his life’s destination. His notion that Aikido is spiritual was probably a misconception that was imparted to him wrongfully.
He was torn between his wants in life and his spiritual yearnings and when Sayadaw Pandita said ‘No’ to him was actually helping him to realize his wrong concept between spirituality and martial arts. It is just like a soft slap on his face pretty much telling him ‘ hey wake up to reality’ Sayadaw saw through his inflated ego and wanted to help him diminish it, in addition Sayadaw could see that Mr.Kessler was carrying unnecessary baggage and was trying to help him offload it. He knew Mr. Kessler has purity in his heart and on that basis accepted him back later on to the meditation center.
Enlightened gurus, masters, lamas has the abilities to see through pretty much all our faults, strength, weaknesses and characters and therefore would probably let us go through tough assignments to bring up our strengths, running us down to ground levels to deflate our egos. When once these are minimized then perhaps the actual teachings would gradually start and finally help and guide us to realize the true nature of self.

Animals have feelings just like us. We should respect the animals just as much as everything else because they might be once be our mother in many lifetime ago. If we abuse animal, who knows , maybe we abuse our mother too. Always remind ourselves that nothing deserves to be abused or suffer. We hope others will treat us good and therefore we should treat others how we would like to be treated.

Thank you Rinpoche for sharing this post. Hope this post can create more awareness to the people in order to stop hurting the animals but to protect and treat them as human beings.

Thank you Mr Miles Kessler for the insightful sharing of his spiritual journey. What I found meaningful is Kessler’s realization of the unfound attachment to Akido (it can be anything, e.g. possession, fame, or social status, etc). And when this unfound attachment is being examined under the scope of Dharma; quoting Kessler’s own words “…My future and past were all hanging in the balance in that very moment with an unbearable intensity.” Once we are stripped naked of what we falsely hold on to as a cover to the true us, we will feel exposed and vulnerable. For that reason, we must always be grounded to Dharma as the bearing of our life to and to nurture our mind according to the 3 Baskets.

The history of mankind is forever tainted because of the cruelty mankind did (and still doing) on those who are harmless and unable to fend for themselves. While the larger population of this planet prefer to remain as silent endorsers of the many tragedies that happened because some humans took advantage of their physically able human form or advantagous position to abuse others. Just try to google, and we will see sexual child abuse, animal abuse, forced extinction of species, crimes against aborigines, “witch hunt” and a list of never-ending list of abuse that we should be very ashamed of. What does this make us? Bullies! Big bullies with no conscious. It is really sad. Please spread love and kindness, and stop any form of abuse, mental or physical.

Thank you Rinpoche for sharing this post.

As we are learning about Dorje Shugden and some of us may even benefitted from Dorje Shugden’s practice, it is important for us to study his previous incarnation who made the promise to eventually arise as a Dharmapala for the protection of Lama Tsongkhapa’s middle way teaching and Gaden lineage. Dulzin Drakpa Gyeltsen was the one who made that promise when he was the main disciple of Lama Tsongkhapa. The first incarnation of Dulzin Drakpa Gyeltsen was Chiwu Gopam who lived during the era of a previous Buddha, Lopa Desi. In his inspirational prayers made to the Buddha, he prayed that he would always be able to practice the Dharma in all his lives; and he would be reborn in barren lands where Buddha’s Dharma can benefit people directly.

For the six subsequent rebirths of Dulzin Drakpa Gyeltsen, his prayers materialized and he successfully spread Buddha’s Dharma in barbarian lands as the king of those lands. For many lives from thereon, he took rebirth as learned monks and panditas to teach the Dharma. In the incarnation just before Dulzin Drakpa Gyeltsen, he took rebirth in a heaven where he was known as Lhayipu Shiwui Tog, who taught Dharma to the gods. As Dulzin Drakpa Gyeltsen, he devoted himself solely to the work of benefitting sentient beings, spreading and preserving the Dharma. The most famous activity was building Gaden Monastery, which he then offered up to his teacher, Lama Tsongkhapa.

Thank you very much Rinpoche and Pastor Jean Ai for this educational article. Thank you Pastor David and Pastor Adeline for the dharma sharing sessions.

Rejoice for Hecules for completing his puja and retreat during his school holidays. So determined in dharma even at a very young age. I still remember that I mostly spent my time watching tv and playing during my school holidays.

I have been to retreat twice recently and it was a good time to calm our mind from the busy life.

May Hecules sharing will inspire more people to engage in retreat and dharma practise.

The Unknown

The Known and unknown are both feared,
Known is being comfortable and stagnant,
The unknown may be growth and opportunities,
One shall never know if one fears the unknown more than the known.
Who says the unknown would be worse than the known?
But then again, the unknown is sometimes worse than the known. In the end nothing is known unless we endeavour,
So go pursue all the way with the unknown,
because all unknown with familiarity becomes the known.

The amount of suffering, fear and pain they have to experience should be experienced by no one whether animal or human. It is heartbreaking to continuously see the sufferings animals endure for our \'pleasures\'. I do feel helpless, but helpless or not, we must create more awareness tirelessly. With awareness, their suffering can eventually be reduced. The ones who are slaughtered, it\'s too late. We can only shed tears but we have to still be concerned about future slaughter of animals and try to prevent. Helping and being kind to animals is not spiritual, strange or unnatural, but pure empathy of understanding their pain in that no sentient beings would want to suffer. Tsem Rinpoche

It's a pleasure to work with her and have her around. Tsem Rinpoche)

This stairway nestled among green hills is Sanku Vajra Yogini temple in Kathmandu, Nepal. It is one of the five sacred shrines and temples dedicated to Her. In this temple a lady who was an emanation of Vajra Yogini showed many miracles and when she passed they made a likeness of her body and enshrined it here. So we can worship Vajra Yogini in the form of this lady at this sacred temple in Sanku. I visited here with many of my dharma friends years ago to pay homage to this sacred Vajra Yogini. Sacred art work on Vajra Yogini
Never forget to do our Vajra Yogini practice. We can lose our money, we can lose our friends, we can lose our position, we can lose our family, we can lose our wife, we can lose our husband and we can lose our materialistic possession because in the end we will lose all outer objects anyway, but NEVER lose our Vajra Yogini practice. Everything lost is meant to be lost because we are in samsara and whatever we enjoy in samsara will not last and will be lost. It is their nature. Never waste time, energy and keep procrastinating, but do our Vajra Yogini practice intensely and strongly and be firm. Samsara never grants permanence and happiness, but Vajra Yogini\'s practice will hand the universe and all the joys within it to you.-Tsem Rinpoche

LADRANG LIGHT OFFERING FUND

A rare and precious opportunity for candles to be offered on your behalf at the private residence of His Eminence Tsem Rinpoche. The offering of light to the Three Jewels has great benefits for one\'s mind including gaining clarity and intelligence, the acceleration of realisations, and greater understanding and wisdom.

This exclusive light offering is also ideal for those who do not have a personal altar or are unable to make light offerings themselves.

Dog Abandoned - Why Don't You Love Me Anymore?
Dear friends around the world, I have come across so many stories of suffering, pain and abandonment but sometimes one stands out stronger than the rest. What happened to this little boy doggie is heartbreaking. I am re-posting here to create awareness and to bring attention to the heroes that help animals and create awareness to their suffering. The purpose of creating awareness is to let people know how much suffering animals go through and to not contribute towards this. To help lessen the suffering. Giving pain to any animal never brings good luck or happiness to anyone. Never harm animals and never eat them. Tsem Rinpoche Article link: http://www.tsemrinpoche.com/tsem-tulku-rinpoche/current-affairs/why-dont-you-love-me-anymore.html *********************************** Dear mom and dad. They found me inside the dumpster you toss me in around 8 in the night. I was crying for u begging for u to come take me back. What have I done wrong. I feel pain all over my body. My joints ached, the hole in my buttocks hurt, I cannot see my behind. I try to get up but I can’t. I cry and cry until a man who was dumping his garbage heard me. He got the shock of his life finding me in the pile of rubbish. It was wet and smelly here. The worms are eating me inside out. Again I keep thinking, what have I done wrong. The vet said my condition is pretty bad. My old body won’t be able to handle it for long. I was full of lice, fleas and ticks. I had blood parasite too. My white blood count is too high. I am an old boy, in pain and suffering. After lengthy tests, they finally decide to let me go. I understand. I am not angry. I am just sad you are not with me. They gave me a nice meal, my last supper. It reminds me of you when I was young. You used to love me and handfed me when I was a baby. People cry around me. They held my hand as I closed my eyes. And then I finally let go and my heart beat the last. Dear mom and dad. I am now in heaven. For whatever I did wrong to you, I hope you won’t do to another dog what you did to me. I will always love you. Until we meet again. Remarks: Many thanks to Century Animal Medical Centre (Putatan) Dr Adit and Frankie for your help, for the love to animals you waited for us to help him even you were was closing. Thank you again for your compassion towards the less fortunate animals and rest in peace doggy.

All beings have feelings and do not want pain, to be hurt or harmed. Therefore we must respect this and not harm animals. See this video how this man has made good friends with a special fish who comes when he rings for the fish. Touching. Tsem Rinpoche

HH the Dalai Lama prays with HH Trijang Rinpoche and HH Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche. Such a beautiful video of His Holiness Dalai Lama, His Holiness Kyabje Trijang Rinpoche and His Holiness Dilgo Kyentse Rinpoche (Very exalted high Nyingma lama) are all praying together. In the background you see a young Kyabje Lati Rinpoche too. So beautiful. This is how it was before the ban. All the sects and high lamas were superbly harmonious. After the Dorje Shugden ban things changed for the worse. May the ban be released soon. Tsem Rinpoche
