15th century saint and scholar, also known as the 2nd Buddha, who revived the teachings of Buddhism in Tibet and founded the Gelug school of Tibetan Buddhism. Lama Tsongkhapa’s Guru Yoga is one of the core practices of Kechara House.
The Yidam – Vajrayogini
Vajrayogini, is a representation of complete Buddhahood in female form, whose practices are associated with the Chakrasamvara Cycle of Anuttarayoga Tantra. The Kechara organisation is named after her pure land (Kechara Paradise) and all aspire to receive her initiation and do her practice. Making offerings to her holy image creates a connection with her, in the hope that we will be fortunate enough to receive her initiation in the future.
The Dharma Protector – Setrap
Setrap is the Dharma Protector of both Kechara House in Malaysia and Gaden Monastery in India. A wrathful emanation of Buddha Amitabha, he is an ancient Dharma Protector whose practice originated from India. His prayer and black tea are extremely efficacious for clearing our obstacles so that we may further our spiritual growth and Dharma practice.
