Last week, I received a forwarded email about something quite amazing, it was about an island on a boat! Conceptualized by a Monaco yacht brand ‘Wally’ and Parisian fashion house ‘Hermès’, the Wally Hermès Yacht (WHY) built yachts to cater for billionaires wanting both mobility in the sea and space on the property.

With a price tag of $160 million, the yacht is 58 metres long and 38 metres wide. It has a total guest area of 3,400 sq metres, capable of catering up to 12 guests and 20 crew. The yacht consists of 5 bedrooms, a 25 metre swimming pool, cinema, music room, dining room, and even a beach. It is also environmental-friendly with it’s 900 sq metres of photovoltaic panels generating solar energy during the day. This feature allows the yacht to save up to 200 tones of diesel per year!

I would not buy a yacht for sure, but this was interesting to share. Do you like this??? Or do you have better ways to spend money?? hehe

Boat for Sale

Want to buy a boat? Think about this “island yacht”, and make sure I should be invited to its inaugural sailing…

Yes you read it right, a whole amazing island built right on a beautiful yacht. Created by UK-based yacht design company Yacht Island Designs, bringing a whole island onto a yacht.

The design as you can see is inspired by tropical islands, with huts, a pool and to top of that, a whole volcano that is sure not to erupt. Since this is a yacht, it comes packed with special VIP rooms, arcades, gym, lounges, spas and even a helipad. The volcano adds a lot of beauty to the whole look of the yacht, it also happens to have water flowing out of it onto the pool creating this amazing river complementing the whole tropical look.

The back of the yacht has a retractable beach deck where structures float on the sea making the sea accessible to swim in and of course grant access to various water activities such as wake boarding and jet-skis. The whole concept is pure genius and the result looks even better.

The $160 million ‘Island Yacht’

The main deck is a beach”cove” of cabanas surrounding a massive ocean view swimming pool, with a waterfall falling nearby from the volcano

A bar area, outdoor dining, there’s a private spa and four VIP suites for friends, all with their own private balcony

Underneath the swimming pool, the recreational area includes jet skis, kayaks and a rest in bed

An upclose aerial view on the man made island

There’s also a helicopter landing pad for friends to drop in

An upclose image of the recreational area

    How do I get this

Wow, this is amazing! But the price id madness. But i guess you can say it is worth it because it does look very good and is even eco friendly. I wonder if anyone has bought this yacht yet. Thank you for sharing Rinpoche, i actually enjoyed reading about this.

For me, this is not it! Totaly over the top. As the reply from Windi states, people have to learn the word “enough”.
It would be a Great world where everybody would stop collecting anything after reaching the enough point.
Pitty but they won’t. Its the century of unlimited greed.

  4. Sean Wang on Oct 29, 2013 at 8:48 pm

Even if I had the money to buy this Yacht, I wouldn’t. I would instead use the money to help others because an island yacht will have no benefit to anyone and even myself as I hate boats. The money could definitely go to a better cause.

Dude this thing is fucking sick i would party so much if i have enough money to ever own this Paradise Island. i would live in the marina (whichever one i was in) The fastest way to buy this bad boy (anything shy of being a fat-cat) is to flip drugs and buy bonds ^_^

  9. joyce potter on Apr 30, 2013 at 3:39 pm

What does it cost to run the yacht. A dream come true for the rich to buy. For me it would be a dream come true for a day. I am handicap and want to know what is available for one who has trouble walking. Do not mean to take up your time. These are only dreams of mine to know these things. Respect, joyce

  10. edward ooi on Apr 26, 2013 at 11:43 pm

Dear Rinpoche, this design looks so amazing until I am stunned. It’s sure worth a very big amount of money but if I am rich as Tan Sri and I don’t know Dharma I might have bought it already! The boat is super big and there are swimming pool, the recreational area includes jet skis, kayaks,A bar area, outdoor dining, there’s a private spa and four VIP suites for friends, all with their own private balcony. It’s so cool! If I live inside the boat I might never leave the boat.

  11. David Lai on Mar 2, 2013 at 8:37 pm

Fascinating yacht and if I had the money, I would not buy this boat unless I know I can sell it off for an even bigger profit. Instead, I would divided the money into different parts for investment, part of it would go towards hiring really good and professional team of a few people to assist Rinpoche, another few more to market Rinpoche and finally another team of a few more to promote Kechara.

Then, another sum would be used to provide for the benefits that Rinpoche would decide to reward beneficial and hardworking liaisons and students. A last sum, would of course go towards Kechara Forest Retreat. My intention would be to have a balance of expenditure and return of investments. That would be most ideal and I feel with US$160 million, I can definitely achieve that.

  12. Sean Wang on Feb 28, 2013 at 2:31 pm

This is seems very interesting. I would love to buy an Island Yacht but I would use the money instead to help other beings as what is the point of benefiting myself and impressing my friends when I could be using the money to benefit millions of other sentient beings.

  13. Sharon Saw on Feb 26, 2013 at 5:22 pm

Personally i would never spend that amount on a yacht or house or car or anything material. Even before i met Dharma, i wouldn’t, because the money would be better spent elsewhere. With Dharma now, if i had USD160 million, i would just give it to Tsem Rinpoche for him to use as he deems fit. If we look at what Rinpoche would do if he had financial freedom, it is far greater than what i would be able to do on my own http://blog.tsemtulku.com/tsem-tulku-rinpoche/me/if-i-had-the-full-financial-support-i-needed.html

  14. sarahyap on Feb 5, 2013 at 2:14 pm

Lol! it’s so funny to go for a swim in the yacht… in the middle of the sea!

Well… 160 million, I suppose this is toys that only multibillionaires will consider having lol.

If I had this type of money would I get it? Not really. But if you’re a multibillionaire, your circle of friends will be different… so having this 160 million yacht can actually serve as an entertaining ground for your circle of friends… and who knows, you may raise more than 160 million by using this yacht as a tool. hehe

  15. Jutika Lam on Feb 3, 2013 at 9:09 pm

    Dear Rinpoche,

Even If i had $160 million i would definitely not buy this yacht at all.

It looks a bit interesting but i don’t really think it is that worth it because if i had $160 Million i just can’t imagine how much work can be done to Kechara Forest Retreat. Also the money could also benefit a lot of people in the world that are homeless and without food and drinks, i am sure that if this big sum of money went to something good it would benefit much much more people than how much the yacht can possibly hold. Besides $160 Million you still have to pay bills, the crews stipend as well as maintenance bills wich would cost another big sum of money.

In fact one would also not be staying in this yacht his/or her whole life which means that a house still has to be bought on land besides that that i think it is too expensive to have both a super expensive yacht and a house on land too.

Thank you Rinpoche for sharing this article!

  16. patsy on Dec 23, 2012 at 1:59 am

Wow the yacht is unique and beautiful. Very creative to have a island built on a yacht. Spending so much money for one’s luxury will become a big headache when it comes to maintenance and upkeep and furthermore it will not benefit many people. With the amount of money spent, it is better to spend it on worthy cause that will benefit more people.

  17. Jessica Yap on Dec 22, 2012 at 6:04 pm

This yacht is amazing! I love how they built an island ON a boat. lol. If I can afford it, i might get it to do retreats inside the manmade cave. hehe
But then again, I can use the same money to help build KFR it is even more beneficial because this yacht is only for me, whereas KFR is for everyone and for the generations to come.. =)

    Thank you, Rinpoche!

  18. bill on Sep 6, 2012 at 2:12 am

think of it this way hire 20 people there the worlds better then other people can do the same

  19. HelenaC on Aug 1, 2012 at 4:53 pm

Wowwwwwwwwwww….this is an amazing Yacht!!! I wish to go on for holiday for a week hehehehe…but if i were to be this rich, I will either use the money to benefit more people or in a Dharma center or people who needs help badly. Or I will buy this yacht for business and the money that i earn is to benefit others hehehehe…
This is really an expensive toy haha…

  20. Julia Tan on Jul 5, 2012 at 11:19 am

It’s a very nice Yacht. Can’t think of any else where that I can let myself indulged in more perfectly than having just 1 night stay here. If one I do have that money to spend I would give that money to build KFR and KWPC to create the Legacy for generations to enjoy the dharma.

  21. tenzin llhamo on Mar 6, 2012 at 4:54 pm

Oh my Buddha! The design is so BEAUTIFUL! If I have like hundreds of millions, of course I will buy 1 to cruise around the world with my loved ones and friends. We can do retreat on the yacht as well. Wouldn’t it be fun?

  22. Wan Wai Meng on Feb 15, 2012 at 10:37 am

If I have that money and if it creates benefit why not. What is the benefit I can’t figure it out yes, unless one does business transactions and this business is used to support a beneficial cause.

  23. Wendy Loh on Jan 26, 2012 at 9:47 am

    Dear Rinpoche,

I don’t know if I would buy this yacht because it all depends on whether by buying it would end up benefiting many people such as giving them employment. I think the building of this yacht may entails many people getting paid by my money and kids get to go to school and in maintaining my beautiful yacht a few families suddenly have work to do. And if this is a way for me to redistribute my wealth, why not?

At the end of the day, it does not matter whether I own a cheap plastic car or an extravagant cruise ship, it all boils down to my intention. If the cheap plastic car, I clutch with attachment and own it out of greed and it brings severe unhappiness to all my friends but the cruise ship brings three villages out of poverty because it sustains their livelihood and it is managed with love and joy whereby all the cabin crew, the engineers and staffs are totally happy and we also get to learn Dharma on board, it may not be a bad thing after all. 🙂 hahaha!

All these arise when our mind is clear and we have the wisdom to see beyond physical appearances. It is the mind, not the yacht, which is greed.

This is just my 2 cent worth.

Namaste. Thank you, Rinpoche for posting this article.

    Sincerely,
    Wendy

  24. DR on Jan 24, 2012 at 3:15 pm

Wow the yacht is beautiful! But I would never buy it. I was having a conversation with some friends the other day, and we were talking about the ways wealth fools and entraps us. Everyone thinks it is so glamorous to own your own plane or yacht, but they don’t think about the ‘suffering’ that goes on behind the scenes.

Once you have all expensive toys, what happens? There are the costs of keeping the plane in the hangar, your yacht moored in the marina, the crew always ready to fly the plane or launch the yacht… after all, how many of us can live all year long on a boat or plane? You have more laws and regulations to follow. And once we have bought the latest toy, how long before the novelty wears off and we look for something else exciting to do?

The old adage that money can’t buy happiness is really true!

  25. Alex Hay on Jan 22, 2012 at 4:27 pm

As for me, I would use the money to benefits millions of people rather benefiting myself. The money can be used to curb proverty in 3rd world country and helping people in need

Although it is very interesting. but i Agree with u ^^, ^^,

      • Wendy Loh on Jan 26, 2012 at 9:18 am

This planet has enough resources for everyone from the smallest single cell life form to the now extinct dinosaur. Nature has her way of keeping things in order. But human greed messes things up. Humans want more and more and more and thus creating an imbalance. But the good news is that we can un-create this imbalance by making different choices that are focused on love, giving and compassion; when we choose “we and us” instead of “me, myself and I”.

        Blessed be. _/\_

Dorje Shugden practice is discouraged since the 5th Dalai Lama until recent decades HH the 14TH Dalai Lama. Nevertheless, this practice is common, support and continues to spread far and wide in many countries including Tibet, India, China as well as the Western. Herewith the 2 interesting articles that support Mr Glenn H. Mullin’s view on the attempt to discourage Dorje Shugden practice is not very successful instead it become famous and well known by everyone.

    1. 10 Holy Dorje Shugden Statues around the World:
    http://www.tsemrinpoche.com/tsem-tulku-rinpoche/dorje-shugden/10-holy-dorje-shugden-statues-in-the-world.html
Build Buddha statue with the bigger size bring much beneficial to all sentient beings.
The largest Dorje Shugden statue, 24 feet tall, commissioned by H.E. the 25th Tsem Rinpoche and currently housed in Kechara Forest Retreat, Bentong, Pahang. In mid 2015, the statue was consecrated by Dorje Shugden in trace through the famed Panglung Oracle.

    2. They were not wrong
    http://www.tsemrinpoche.com/tsem-tulku-rinpoche/dorje-shugden/they-were-not-wrong.html
Many great teachers, masters, yogis, geshes, mahasiddhas, lineage holders of various schools of Buddhism (especially Sakya lineage) that practiced or was affiliated closely to Dorje Shugden. Some of the senior monks who have been practicing Dorje Shugden for over 70 years and have no intention of giving up their practice of this protector. Besides, many great masters eg HH Kyabje Pabongka Rinpoche, HH Kyabje Trijang Rinpoche, HH Kyabje Zong Rinpoche, H.E. Gangchen Rinpoche and many others would also have thousands of students (both lay and ordained) in Tibet and all over the world rely on Dorje Shugden.

Thank you Rinpoche for sharing this interesting writings by Mr Glenn H. Mullin.

It is mind-boggling to read the extraction starting from page 208 of the book by Mr. Glenn Mullin. There are a few points from here that arouse my curiosity to read the book in full.

One of it is why the Nyingmapa shamans failed to exorcise and pacify the spirit of Tulku Drakpa Gyeltsen, but the Gelugpa shaman monks succeeded in pacifying and transforming him (his spirit) into Dorje Shugden.

Another noteworthy point would be that Dorje Shugden practice caught on and became widely practiced by many monasteries, DESPITE the discouragement by the 5th Dalai Lama. This is very telling of the position of Dalai Lama as a spiritual leader.

Based on Mr. Glen Mullin’s research, the popularity of Dorje Shugden’s practice grew over time, in particular during late 1800 when four Dalai Lamas died young. I find it highly unusual to link this uncommonly short lifespan of Dalai Lamas to the growing popularity of Dorje Shugden’s practice. Bearing in mind that even aristocratic families developed the strong faith in DS practice during this period.

As we gain glimpses into the feud between Tulku Drakpa Gyeltsen / Dorje Shugden and the Dalai Lamas, it becomes apparent that the validity, effectiveness, and propitiation of a Protector’s practice does not depend on Dalai Lama’s endorsement.

Dorje Shugden’s practice is prevalent among both monasteries as well as laities, particularly the aristocratic families. From here, we can deduce that Dorje Shugden’s practice, is efficient and works in both spiritual and secular terms. Otherwise, why would monasteries and aristocratic families propitiate the practice?

Thank you, Rinpoche, for this insightful sharing.

I do have regrets over the times but ever since I let go all ,I felt much lighter, happier,
been able to concentrate on things which will benefit others. Learned from mistakes, experience and regrets , to move on to the next chapter in life. .I keep reminding myself not to repeat and never regrets for what the actions or things done ,trying to improve and learn something new along the path. I always like to read beautiful and meaningful quotes to remind myself. Since joining Kechara,I have learned more knowledge ,understands better in life and to thank our Guru for what I have learned and still learning (Life’s true gift lies in your freedom to design it beautifully. With each rise of the sun, you get to chase the opportunity to fill your days with meaning—to live your life the way you choose)…quoted
Thank you Dauk May for sharing these beautiful teachings with us.

Its heart breaking after looking through those pictures of pets ,poorly managed by their owners or maybe they thought it will be safe or left them to die in the terrible powerful hurricanes. The pet dogs were left helpless and the owner just saves themselves not realising or forgotten about their pets. Dogs been chained ,kept in their cage or left alone helpless unattended.
I am glad many people voiced up these issues as pets are human too, pets deserved much better treatment, care ,love and hugs. The owner should have think of a better way instead leaving their pet dogs to suffer. At least free them gave them a chance or put in a higher ground. Leaving them behind in bad times is bad enough then in the first place should not taken the pets in.
It’s a wonderful news that the authorities concerned are doing more to help those suffering dogs and taking stern actions against those irresponsible owner.

Thank you Rinpoche for sharing these post and had it shared with my friends

    Rejoice!
This is wonderful to see the team, who has followed Rinpoche’s advice very well to work out and organized the weekly Bigfoot Flea Market in Bentong, Pahang. Now, it has blossomed into a Bigfoot store at its own shop lot building. Furthermore, its Facebook has been created and updated the latest posts at: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Bigfoot%E3%81%AEstorage-%E9%87%8E%E4%BA%BA%E3%81%AE%E5%82%A8%E5%AD%98%E5%B1%8B/129014147685241?ref=br_rs

This is one of the creative ideas and skillful means from Rinpoche in spreading the dharma to many others. Now, another interesting and it was my first time to see these Bigfoot cookies. These cookies are rewarded to the customers in return for their loyalty.

Dorje Shugden is a powerful Protector ,hence no matters what type of art piece of Dorje Shugden is he will always remind as our Protector. With these beautiful fauvistic bold distortion of form and the use of strong, pure color made look more divine and powerful. .When we has faith and trust on Dorje shugden miracles do happen, will protects us at all times day and night from danger and harm, grants our wishes , helps us develop our skills, wisdom and great compassion. Also removes all our obstacles to succeed in life.
Thank you Rinpoche for sharing this beautiful form of Dorje Sguden with us. I do love this form. May more and more people get to know of Dorje Shugden practice and the benefits of it. The short prayer to Dorje Shugden composed by Rinpoche is meaningful , powerful and easy to understand.

Having Bigfoot cookies for all people at the flea market is a wonderful idea and a way to attract more people to the flea market . From there they get to know more about Kechara Forest Retreat as well..I have been to flea market before i could see alot of interesting items on sales.
Big foot indeed has attracted more people closer to Dharma too .Most of the Bentong folks know about Bigfoot and Kechara related.
The Bigfoot cookies looks cute and i am sure it tastes yummy . The Tsem Ladrang staff did a wonderful job baking such a delicious cookies. I do hope can get to taste it in my next trip to Bentong.
Thank You Rinpoche for having the idea of setting the Bigfoot Flea Market and now have cookies too. Rinpoche will always use ways to bring Dharma close to everyone

This post reminds me of The Lizard in Spiderman and The Were-Monster in The X-Files, not forgetting the local superhero comedy, Cicak Man. It brings to mind that these creatures exist as a result of mutation under the influence of an external factor, like chemical, radiation, aliens, etc. Or it can be another mythical shapeshifters.

As many of the recent sightings of shapeshifters, like the Werewolves, Beats of Bray Road, and even the ancient Goatman happened in the modern and technologically advanced the United States, I can’t help but wonder what is the connection here.

However, the mythological relationship between men and reptile had a long and vast history across different cultures. For example, the Kraken in Greek mythology and the Nagas in Buddhism, which can interchange into forms of frogs or lizards. Therefore, while we sit back and enjoy the creepy tales of these creatures, we must be respectful towards our environment, because we will never know with whom we are sharing the space with!

Thank you, Cindy, for this article.

We have the good fortune to encounter a Guru who can teach us, instruct us, and change the course of our future. We should not squander the opportunity.

*We should devote ourselves correctly for the guru is White Tara for long life; the guru is Manjushri to achieve wisdom; the guru is the yidam, from which through prayers one achieves attainments; the guru is also the protector from whom you receive protection. The guru is also Dzambala, from whom with devotion, seeing him as the Buddha and correctly devoting oneself, then one gets all wealth, all prosperity, for one’s own conditions needed to help other sentient beings.*

The guru helps you to control your mind, the delusions, and to achieve enlightenment. The guru is everything. From guru devotion, you achieve everything; therefore we should carry out his instructions, and go all the way. Nothing is achieved if we don’t put in the time, sweat, effort and sometimes tears into it.~Bradley Kassian

As long as we are in samsara, we have to experience all different types of sufferings.
With the blessings and compassion of Rinpoche, we have the opportunities to learn the dharma in depth and apply the dharma to overcome our difficulties and eventually to bring benefits to others. For instance, Ganapati Ragavajra is an emanation of Avalokiteshvara. With Rinpoche’s clear explanation on this unique and rare Buddha statue, it cleared our doubts or wrong interpretation about the statue.

Thank you Rinpoche for reminding us that the success of a practice is subject to the practitioner’s faith, intent and request. Determination, consistency and persistence may eventually lead us to peace and achieve our spiritual growth.

The Unknown

The Known and unknown are both feared,
Known is being comfortable and stagnant,
The unknown may be growth and opportunities,
One shall never know if one fears the unknown more than the known.
Who says the unknown would be worse than the known?
But then again, the unknown is sometimes worse than the known. In the end nothing is known unless we endeavour,
So go pursue all the way with the unknown,
because all unknown with familiarity becomes the known.

He was known by one of his names which was Guru Deva Rinpoche and I had the blessings to meet him quite a few times. He was guru of both my mother and father. Guru Deva Rinpoche was a high Mongolian lama and lived over 100 years old. He was one of the kindest persons I have ever met and he was very well known to be an emanation of Gyenze. He joked alot and was extremely devoted to his teacher. We had many private conversations with him and he made an indelible mark in my mind and in my heart. I think of him often. Tsem Rinpoche

I pity men who occupy themselves exclusively with the transitory in things and lose themselves in the study of what is perishable, since we are here for this very end- that we may make the perishable imperishable, which we can do only after we have learned how to approach both.~Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

(This quote is very powerful from Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. He seems to be a powerful thinker and can think beyond daily and ordinary thoughts. Like I shared, only the study of dharma is going to lead to the imperishable. Any other studies of this world only are temporarily beneficial which is perishable. Of course he is not referring to dharma, but he realized ordinary pursuits leads to perishability. If he knew dharma, he would see the vastness of Buddha\'s omniscience. Tsem Rinpoche)

(1st photo) Kyabje Lati Rinpoche in the centre and Ven Kensur Rinpoche Lobsang Phende on the extreme right. After the unfair ban against Dorje Shugden practitioners was forcibly instituted by Tibetan leadership onto the people and monasteries, the monasteries split. Over 600 monks from Gaden Shartse Monastery left and set up Shar Gaden Monastery. The Tibetan leadership did their best to get the authorities to close Shar Gaden Monastery but Shar Gaden had registered so there was nothing Tibetan leadership can do. It was very sad. Kensur Rinpoche Lobsang Phende left Gaden Shartse Monastery to be the abbot of the newly formed Shar Gaden Monastery in South India where they can continue Dorje Shugden practice. Prior to the ban Lati Rinpoche and Kensur Rinpoche Lobsang Phende can meet up, share and be close as they all had been very close. After the ban this was not allowed anymore. Dorje Shugden and non-Dorje Shugden people had to be segregated. They cannot mix. The previous prime minister of the Tibetan exiled government said that Dorje Shugden people and non Dorje Shugden people are like the mustache and the mouth and it has to be separated. Tsem Rinpoche

This is Venerable Lhakpa Tsering from Tibet. He has passed away a few years back of natural causes and as he was older. He was one of the high ranking and official oracle of Dorje Shugden, Namka Barzin, Kache Marpo and several other high protectors. He was famous in Tibet for his correct trance of Dorje Shugden and extremely powerful clairvoyance advice of Dorje Shguden. He has been taking trance since Tibet. In 1959 he left Tibet for India and settled in Kalimpong. He continued to take trance in Kalimpong of Dorje Shugden for government officials, local persons, high lamas, monasteries, nuns, monks and even foreigners. For over 40 years his wonderful oracular ability to take trance and give advice and prophecies has benefited so many people. He was trained and blessed as an oracle by the previous Dromo Geshe Rinpoche of Sera Jey Monastery. I\'ve had a chance to stay at his house, meet him and see him in trance. It was a great blessing and amazing experience. Tsem Rinpoche

Why seek anything else when you have the illustrious practice of Vajra Yogini from the lineage of the Crazy Wisdom Mahasiddha Naropa? Nothing in samsara created by ordinary men can surpass the practice of Vajra Yogini elucidated to us by the Buddha. Nothing in samsara’s knowledge no matter how incredible can surpass the knowledge embodied in the dharma by the Buddha. Samsara knowledge is limited. When we study Buddha’s knowledge (Dharma) it guarantees our future with no limitations. Spend more time studying dharma than samsaric knowledge. Why even compare? Surrender samsara as death and loss are it’s only results and engage in Dharma practice all the way. Vajra Yogini is dharma and dharma is Vajra Yogini. Give everything for Vajra Yogini’s practice. Start now as a preliminary practice even without initiation (blog article: Starting on Vajra Yogini Now- http://www.tsemrinpoche.com/?p=4395). Humbly, Tsem Rinpoche

This is a powerful picture of Geshe Tsultrim Gyeltsen, Kensur Kyabje Lati Rinpoche and the current incarnation of Trijang Rinpoche meeting together in the year 2000 when Trijang Rinpoche was 18. All three lamas are Dorje Shugden practitioners. In fact Geshe Tsultrim Gyeltsen was the one that first encouraged my practice of Dorje Shugden when I was 16 years old when I joined his beautiful Thubten Dhargye Ling centre in Los Angeles. I lived with Geshe Tsultrim Gyeltsen for 8 years before proceeding to Gaden Monastery in South India. Later Kyabje Zong Rinpoche came to our Los Angeles centre and granted sogtae (permission ceremony) to practice Dorje Shugden for life as requested by Geshe Tsultrim Gyeltsen. Geshe Tsultrim Gyeltsen had tremendous faith in Trijang Rinpoche.

Kyabje Lati Rinpoche was innovative, dedicated and very much focused on bringing dharma to many. He had tremendous faith in Dorje Shugden as I had the honour to meet him many times. He would seek advice from Dorje Shugden many times via the oracle of Gaden Monastery. Geshe Tsultrim Gyeltsen and Kensur Kyabje Lati Rinpoche have since passed away while the current Trijang Rinpoche is a perfect lineage holder and practitioner of Dharma while he keeps Dorje Shugden as his personal protector as he has done so for many lifetimes.

This is a powerful and beautiful picture of three great lamas of Buddha’s lineage and also of Gaden Monastery. ~Tsem Rinpoche

This picture is of KB lovingly holding Mumu while he tries to stand up. I was in the room with them and someone else took this picture. It is a very sad and poignant picture because just a short while after this picture was taken, Mumu passed away with all of us present. This was the last picture of my little Mumu alive. We immediately did puja for Mumu and he is sorely missed by many as he touched our lives deeply. Tsem Rinpoche

Practising makes you better at something. If you keep practising in laziness, that is what you will become good in. If you keep practising generosity, that is what you will develop. Keep practising in what you want to become good at.

    Norma Jean
These are the heartbreaking scenes we see over and over again, that we share in the hopes of telling the stories of those who otherwise would have suffered and vanished from this earth without a trace. This is Norma Jean. Free for a little over five months, she knew more happiness than millions of her sisters ever will. But she couldn’t escape the fate genetically programmed into her as an egg producing machine. She seemed more lethargic than usual this morning, so we brought her inside to administer fluids and antibiotics in the hopes of pulling her through until we could get her in to see our vet. She couldn’t hang on. She died this evening shortly after this video was taken, severely infected from the rotting egg yolk adhered to various organs throughout her abdominal cavity. Like virtually every single one of her sisters, caged or free range, rescued or not, she paid the ultimate price for eggs (from FB)

Holy Words of Kyabje Zong Rinpoche
Over 30 years ago, I made my choice that His Holiness Zong Rinpoche is my root guru and I have never wavered from it since or had second thoughts or doubted. There can never be a flaw or negative quality in anything that comes from Kyabje Zong Rinpoche. http://www.tsemrinpoche.com/tsem-tulku-rinpoche/great-lamas-masters/kyabje-zong-rinpoches-advice-on-dorje-shugdens-practice.html
